Naturally she has purple eyes that, through the use of contacts, she makes green
Anything Else:
Naturally, her skin is of a greenish hue, though with the help of make up and one of her powers, she can look normal. she also has several tattoos she covers up for work, make up is a wonderful thing. as well as her eats and lip pierced.
Equipment and Weapons:
Queen of Hearts Suit - Being a member of the Royal Flush Gang, Isabella has a suit much like Max does. Her suit is a near full body greyish suit to make herself look like the queen of hearts card. The suit comes with electromagnetic combat boots she can activate to keep her feet on her card flyer at all times. The mask that it comes with, much like Max's, has a voice modulator in it to keep people from being able to identify her through her voice.
Card Flyer - This is a large 10'x5' card she can use to fly around on, something that is quintessential to any member of the Royal Flush Gang. Her card flyer can reach up to similar speeds as Max's, nearing 200mph. The special electromagnets in her boots allows her to stay perfectly balanced on the card, even when flying upside down and maneuvering from one side to another.
Rose Thorn Whip - Something she uses specially for her Queen of Hearts costume to go off the queen of hearts card motif, this plant-like whip is very special indeed. Firstly, the rose itself was specially made by her, a simple rose plant spliced with ivy and mutated with her own blood. One part plant and one part mechanics. She had gotten help with this part, to help keep the plant alive, it is partially machine, with wiring going through the inside that is made to contract with the whip itself. The 'handle' is the rose and stem, small thorns here and there that are meant to embed themselves into her skin when she is using the whip keeps her blood flowing through it with the wires helping to electrify it and work as veins to keep the little bits of blood she continuously puts into it moving through the flower. The ivy spliced into it acts as two things: one, a root for when she isn't using it as a weapon, allowing her to water and care for the 'whip' as if it were any other plant, so long as it has been placed back into a flower pot (she has one specifically designated for her whip), and two, the whip, a thorny free moving whip she can use to wrap around people or lash out to attack with. She has contemplated using this whip when out doing her thing as Nightshade as well but ultimately decided against it. She doesn't want the two 'villains' to be connected to each other.
Nightshade Costume - A costume she has had for years, or rather, has been making for years, Nightshade is the first alias she has ever had. Her costume is very similar to her mother's aside from one distinct difference: rather than made of leaves of green, hers is made of darker, reddish-purple leaves. It's her way of trying to be different from her mother. After all, she did not take on the moniker "Poison Ivy", she is her own person, her own entity, and she will make herself known someday. One thing very different about her outfit compared to her mothers is that hers has a quasi-utility belt, little leafy pouches around her waist that hold various spore bombs and pellets.
Spore Bombs and Pellets - Rather than using her specially designed whip, as Nightshade, Isabella is known to carry specially made flower bombs and pellets. When the bombs are thrown down, they often release a large cloud of spores that have various qualities. Some of them are simply for the use of creating a 'smoke' cloud to allow her to get away. Others are used for various effects, such as poisoning the air (though these poisons are often not of a deadly nature, they can still pack quite a punch) or releasing a hallucinogenic to help for easy escape. The pellets, however, are meant to be broken in her hand so she can blow the spores in the faces of her enemy. These spores are often used in place of a kiss because, let's be honest, you aren't always going to get that chance. Usually pink in nature, these spores have hypnotic and alluring effects on those she uses them on, however, like everything else, only last so long.
Smart Glasses - A pair of glasses that can act as her very own computer and even replace her cellular, these were created with the help of Max. Her glasses are both a useful tool and a helpful disguise, yes, I mean that. She uses them as a disguise. After all, she's supposed to be an assistant, she might as well look the part, right? The glasses really aren't special in any other way, though, and have no use to her outside of her civilian guise.
PDA - Something else she has only because of her job, this little PDA can connect to her glasses so that she doesn't constantly have to pull it out, however she does carry it around pretty much everywhere and uses it to help keep both herself and 'Mister Regem' on schedule.
Powers:
Connection with the Green/Florakinesis - Much like her mother, she has an uncanny connection to what she has always been taught is called 'the green. Through her connectio.with the green, or plants, she is able to do many things. One thing is she is able to.use them as a means of communication. All life is connected, one just has to know how to use that connecting life. The downside of using it to communicate is it doesn't exactly work well if there isn't a plant on the other side to connect with. It also works much better when the plant is in the ground and not in a pot. The farther away the message must be sent, the less clear it becomes as well. She is not nearly as skilled with it ad her mother is and often doesn't use it to communicate unless necessary. When communicatong through the green, her messages appear in the form similar to a polleny or petally hallogram. Communicating is not all she can do, though. Through her connection with the green, she can also control plants, making them do as she wills them to. It's possible through her seemingly mental connection to all things flora. With it, she can make things grow, make them move, call upon them to.protect her, and, in some cases (like with venus fly traps), make them attack people as she might need them to. The downside, though, is with being so connected to the green, she can feel the pain of the plants, hear what they say and think, something very few people can do. And with this connection, especially to those plants mutated with her blood, she feels immense amounts of pain when the plants are damaged or destroyed.
Intoxicating/Hypnotic Kiss - Much like her mother, she has a limited control of her pheromones. Through the use of secreting 'toxins' into her lips (mostly through saliva and special oils), she can make people attracted to.her so.deeply that they'd do anything for her. It's akin to a hypnotic effect, however it is temporary, lasting at most up to an hour and works far better on males than females. With females, it is iffy. Especially if they are straight. Straight females tend to be tolerant to it. It is thought that it is because, if one is not already attracted to something, an attraction like that cannot be forced. Very similar to the thought that a hypnotist cannot force someone to do something they do not, on some level, want to already do.
Venom Generation - Something very interesting, however deadly, about Isabella is that her blood absorbs toxins and produces and manipulates them. By ingesting a toxin, her body can break it down and absorb it so she can secrete it. Her bloid is already natutally toxic (at least to most human and humanoid creatures) and it takes a conscious effort most times to let her poisons secrete through her skin.
Immune to toxins, venoms, poisons, ect - This is rather self-explanatory, she is not effected by poisons of any kind in negative ways due to her already poisonous blood. An added positive effect to this is that it is difficult for her to get sick, though that doesn't mean she can't.
Mutated Blood - By using a bit of her blood, she can mutate plants. She has to cut herself, though, and that can prove to be a hassel at times, especially since she doesn't heal incredibly fast if not in direct sunlight or absorbing water. Through mutating plants with her blood, she can make them grow bigger than they should, speed up the growth process, and even make them monsterous depending on the plant.
Deadly Touch - The toxins and venoms in her blood can cause her physical touch to be rather poisonous itself, deadly. Thankfully, she had an understanding of how this works and doesn't poison people on accident often.
Pigment Control - She has the oddest ability to be able to control her own skin pigmentation to a slight extent. Through its use, she can take the green out of her skin when she is waking. It's a conscious sort of switch so, when she is not awake to keep it under control, her skin takes on a greenish-tinting to it due to her somewhat plant-like physiology.
Photosynthesized Accellerated Healing - While she can't heal super fast, she can heal faster than most. However, the speed in which she heals is determined through the amount of sunlight and water she has access to. She is very much like a plant in thid regard. If she is kept away from uv light amd water, she grows weak, almost unable to heal at all.
Photosynthesized Physical Enhancements - While not anywhere near being classified as superhuman in any of her 'enhancements', through the natural process of photosynthesis that her body goes through, she is at above average human levels in regards to things such as her strength, speed, and stamina as well as durability. That is, so long as she can get the proper amounts of sunlight each day. If she does, she can lift up to almost three times her body weight, run (in short bursts) at speeds of 65mph, and keep going for several hours on 'human' levels of speed and strength without growing tired. She also doesn't need sustenance such as water or food so long as she has gotten the right amounts of sunlight a day, though that doesn't stop her from eating. And, lastly, she can take a bit more damage than the average bear, though she is no where near being invulnerable.
Skills:
Fighting Skills - While not trained in things such as martial arts or the use of most weapons, she has a significant amount of experience in 'street fighting'. It's a more freestyle fighting technique that hasn't really taken much from any other sort of style. It's just what her mother and aunt taught her while she was growing up to help with self defense. However she is decent with a whip and has been teaching herself for sometime how to incorporate it into her fighting style, especially for when she's in her Queen of Hearts guise.
High Intellect - She was the daughter of two highly educated and extremely intelligent people, both holding doctorates. It's no surprise that she is highly intelligent, though not exactly genius level intellect. She is like a walking botanical encyclopedia though and her intelligence helped her get through high school quickly and with ease.
Extensive Knowledge of Botany - Being raised by Pamela Isley, it is no surprise that she has vast knowledge of such a topic. Especially since she took quite a few botany classes in college. She knows almost everything about everything that there is to know about botany, from the different uses of plants and where they come from, what is the best way to plant them, all sorts of little tid bits that can be extremely useful (at least in her opinion).
Extensive Knowledge of Toxicology - This was more so a personal interest of hers, she has quite and admiration for toxins, poisons, and other such things, and has been studying them on her own for years. Because of her uncanny ability to manipulate toxins she has ingested, she likes knowing the kinds of effects each poisonous plant and toxic chemical can have on someone.
Medical Knowledge - While studying botany and toxicology, she took interest in also learning about things such as the medicinal uses of plants. After all, plants have been used for medicines for centuries, back when people didn't have the luxury of hospitals and 'miracle drugs'. She prefers to use organic medicines to chemically created ones anyway, they work much better for her the way she makes them.
Extensive Knowledge of Anatomy - Growing up, she had an interest in the anatomy of not just plants, but people and other creatures as well. In understanding the human anatomy, she can get an understanding of how certain poisons and plants might work on different people, helping her in designing the perfect toxins and the like for the perfect situations. However, anatomy alone doesn't always help. It is simply a tool to getting towards what she wants.
Knowledge of Biology - Along with anatomy, she did a lot of studying of Biology itself. Biology is, after all, the study of all life, including fauna and flora. And, if there is one thing she likes to do, it's learn as much about flora as possible.
Extensive Knowledge of Bio-Chemistry - Being that her own 'biological chemistry' is rather odd, she liked learning as much about it as she possibly could and took quite a few courses on bio-Chemistry in college as well. She had gone to school for a degree in Botany, after all and she found that bio-chemistry was a necessity to being able to truly learn everything that she needed to learn about nature and the effects different things may have on it or how nature may effect a living being.
Piloting Skills - While not a mastery in it in anyway, her piloting skills with her card flyer are extraordinary and she loves showcasing them as much as she can when she's out in her Queen of Hearts costume.
Mastery of Persuasion - Something that her and Max seem to have in common is a love for torture and using weaker minds to do as they want. While she tends to leave the game of torture to Max, she has a bit of a fondness for it as well, using it in helping her persuade people. But she doesn't necessarily even need to do that. Through the use of seduction and a few pheromones, Isabella is a master at using her own body and her special skills to get people to do what she wants, even if they need a little kiss to keep them on her side.
Mediocre Inventor - While she's isn't exactly great at inventing things, she has been trying to learn more and more about inventing ever since she met Max. She helps her out, teaches her things here and there and she practices where she can. She's able to make some rather simple electronics, though her more advanced ones, he had a big hand in.
Mediocre Hacker - Again, while not amazing in it, she has enough hacking skills (that she actually taught herself) to get her into simple mainframes and past a good number of electric security locks. She's practicing and slowly getting better and better, though she is probably never going to be near as good as someone like Black Widow or Oracle.
High Pain Tolerance - Being someone who is often needing to cut herself open or pricking herself in order to help her plants (as well as someone who has gotten themselves beaten up more times than she can count) she has quite a high tolerance to pain, almost to the point in which she might be considered a masochist. She quite likes being put in pain and will even laugh about it or makes noises as if she's taking pleasure from it when people try to harm her.
Weaknesses:
1.) Green Connection - Isabella has a very sensitive connection to nature. Any damage done to it while she is communicating through it or manipulating it in any way, she feels with intensity. The worse the damage to it, the worse the pain is for her. This is doubly true for plants infused with her blood.
2.) Lack of Sunlight/UV Rays - Being so connected to plants as well as being like a plany herself in many ways, sge requires solar energy to live. With certain levels of solar energy absorbed into her body, she can begin to grow weak. Prolonged inexposure to sunlight can cause extreme weakness, an inability to use her powers and, in some cases, even death.
3.) Pure Salt - Isabella can overdose off of pure salt if it is introduced into into system. Too much of it causes her to dry out, like a plant would. Doing so causes her to grow weak and even fragile. She tends to avoid salt because of this.
4.) Dehydration - Like with the sun, Bella needs to re main hydrated in order to survive and keep herself strong. With water, she slowly starts to grow weaker and weaker until she eventually can't use her powers and, like any person, passes out. However, unlike any other person, she needs much more of it to survive.
5.) King of Hearts - She has known Max for many years now and, while she hates it, her loyalty to him is a terriblr weakness, as is the man himself. She would do anything for him and, were it ti comr down to it, she would give her life to save his.
6.) Arrogance - Pride is something that can get in the way of most people and if there is one thing Bella is, it's proud. A bit too prideful at times too. She has been known to let her pride cloud her judgment from time to time.
7.) Flora Life - Due to both her connection with plants and being raised with an immense respect for them, Isabella finds plants as a whole to be a weakness of hers. She would do anything to protect the green, even moreso than she would Max. It borderlines on insanity to sone people the way she feels about plant life.
8.) Alcohol - Alcohol, in large quantities, can dehydrate a person. It can also dry her out personally, much like salt can. It also doesn't help that when she ingests so much alcohol it starts making her powers harder to use. What's worse is her body identifies it as a toxin and, because of this, she seems like a lightweight due to how fast her own damn powers make her drunk.
9.) Self Toxicity - Being able to secrete poisons, sometimes she can't control it, making her dangerous to even those she cares about. Because if this, she finds it to be a weakness.
10.) Still (Kinda) Human - In the end, she is still technically human. And, being human, she isn't invincible. She can still die by (most) human means.
11.) Hypertonic Solutions - Along with pure salt being a weakness to her, hypertonic solutions are as well, for pretty much the same reasons. After all, hypertonic solutions are solutions with a higher sodium level than anything else in the solution and such things can start to dehydrate and dry her out.

Personality:
Intelligent - Isabella isn't some dumb, wannabe great scientist who pretends she knows everything. Actually, she never really had much of a care at becoming a scientist. She went to school for what she did simply to learn more about nature to help in her endeavors. No, she is a highly intelligent girl with a strong head on her shoulders. She takes in ever bit of information she can and likes to either file it away in her brain somewhere or write it down to make sure she will never forget it. In a world where filthy creatures are seemingly trying to take over the world, she needs to be smart in order to help the Green take the world back once and for all.
Seductive - With a body like hers and a knowledge of how to use her body for her own gain, there is no question that she is a very seductive sort of woman. She knows how to use her words in just the right ways to get a special kind of rise in someone, how to lure them in with her body in order to make them hers if she really wants them. The art of seduction is almost as sacred as nature itself, almost, though not quite there. She didn't need to be taught by her mother how to do it, though watching her over the years with certain people (especially with her father) it was quite easy to pick up on. Seduction is more than just knowing how to talk, though, it's about the right body language, knowing how to pick up on different cues, and, above all, a big part of her personality in general.
Manipulative - While she doesn't need to be manipulative of the other Cards, she does need to do so in certain situations, especially ones where she's out on her own. She has gotten herself out of quite a few troubles through the use of manipulation and some good wording. Manipulating people is also very useful when she needs to get her fellow Roses back in line or listening to her like they are supposed to be.
Motherly - Surprisingly enough, Isabella has a very motherly side to her and often finds herself mothering those she feels had been neglected and need love. Of course, for the most part, those things are not human but rather her plants. She is a big mother hen around her 'children', her plants. But, around kids, she can also be very sweet and maternal. She can't really explain why. It might be because, due to her toxic body, it's highly unlikely she'll ever have kids of her own. Unlikely, not impossible, though she doesn't seem to see it happening. Deep down every woman wants to have a child, and she seems to be no exception to that rule. Because of her lack of ability, she thinks it might be possible that this is her way of making up for it.
Obsessive - Well, at least she seems obsessive to the outside world. She has what some people seem to classify as an unhealthy obsession with her plants, cooing to them often as if they were children and would protect them with her life. What people call an obsession, she calls a way of life. Nature is just as important, if not more so, than human life. She lives and breathes nature, she'd do anything to keep the plant safe from the horrible monsters that call themselves humanity. So what of she comes off a little abrasive, she quite literally feels their pain, hears their cries, why wouldn't she be abrasive of her darling plant life?
Methodical - Along with being Intelligent, Isabella is a rather methodical woman. She thinks things through, every plan she puts into action a well thought out strategy that she has gone over at least twice. Of course, there is never the ability to account for everything but she likes to try to. She's not really much of a spontaneous type, something that her Aunt Harley always told her was going to be the death of her while her own mother insisted was a wonderful trait to have. She'd rather try to be prepared than just dive head first into the unknown.
Arrogant - She is an extremely proud woman, thinking extremely highly of both herself and her abilities. Almost to the point in which she is overconfident. Confidence, on the outside, can actually make someone rather attractive to some. It makes them exude a sort of air about them that tells people they aren't to be messed with. She likes to think she exudes confidence. But, in all honesty, she is far more overconfident to the point in which it can be off putting. She is perfect, amazing at everything she does, or so she likes to believe.
Professional - While she might be a number of ways when she's on her own or with friends, when she is at work, along side Max, she is an almost completely different person. She is professional, putting others first simply because she has to. She is Max's loyal lapdog, so to speak, and she likes to keep it seeming like she is nothing more than that. She is his personal assistant. As an assistant, she has a certain expectation to uphold and she isn't about to make either herself or Max look like a fool.
Queen of Hearts - As the Queen of Hearts, she is a bit different than she is as Isabella or even Nightshade. As the Queen, she seems to hold herself with a bit of regal nature. She's not bossy but she isn't going to hold back if she feels an order should be given. She's also not one to take failure too lightly and will quickly pick out the person she believes needs to be reprimanded for any failures within the Royal Flush Gang. Being Max's right hand, it is her duty to carry out any special orders given and does so rather delightedly, always ready to do anything he needs of her. While she might not always be happy to do so, she will without a doubt always follow through. However, that does not mean she won't question him from time to time.
Nightshade - As Nightshade, she is devious, cunning, and above all, deadly. She is not afraid to get a little blood on her hands to send the message she wants to send to people. And if people are too stupid to understand what she's trying to get at, well, she has to modify their behaviors. She releases her truest self when she is in this costume, not holding back on her hatred for humanity. It is the men and women of this ghastly plane that have turned mother nature into a cesspool and she feels it is her job (or rather, Nightshade's job) to fix that problem. While there may be a select few people she is willing to spare, if someone clearly becomes a problem to her or the Earth, she will not hesitate to end them. It's usually in this guise that her crimes of bio-terrorism are committed and even then, she would never tell someone her true name. All convictions as Nightshade have been filed under the pseudonym Bella Donna, and she plans to keep it that way.
History:
It has always been thought that, due to the high toxicity levels of Pamela Isley's blood and other such vital liqueds, the probability that she would, in any way, ever be able to have biological children were slim to none. However, an improbability is not an imposibility. And Pamela most certainly wanted to at least try to have children at some point. After all, she wanted to be able to someday pass along her outstanding genetic code to someone who could continue her magnificent battle against the decrepits that were human kind who were destroying her precious Green. She only knew of one man who could possibly help her in such a venture, a man who also happened to be the only person she could ever deem worthy of being the second half of whatever child she had. He was a man who had helped her out in the past, a man she knew, and a man who was almost just as apart of nature as she was: Dr. Jason Woodrue.
It had been dumb luck that she was able to actually happen upon him one night while she was out in Central City. She liked to travel from time to time, after all, to collect flora samples. She had been ready to sneak into the museum there to steal flower samples from a new rainforest exibit. And who would she bump into soon after escaping with her goods than the man she wanted to see. He was just what the doctor ordered. Like he had back in Arkham some years ago, Jason once again helped her escape the cops who were on her tail and hid her for a few days until the heat died down. And while she had him so close, she decided to talk to him, convince him to help her. One some level, he connected with her, understood the troubles and agreed to help.
With the two of them working together, soon the improbably became a possibility. Whether it be by miracle or that science truly did win out, the two of them were able to lower her toxicity enough for her to become pregnant. They had to monitor her blood twice a day to make sure she wouldn't poison the baby. It was a lot of work and, to her disappointment, much more than she had expected. She had to stay in hiding for a whole nine months and she hated that. While she was hiding, they were killing her precious earth, her precious flora screamed around her and she could do almost nothing about it. Yet in that time, she found something she never truly believed in: love. Her and Jason started this as scientific partners but, in the end, they became much more than that.
In the early hours of the morning on march ninth, the little miracle was born. Named Isabella Donna-Marie Woodrue-Isley, the moment the two saw the girl, they knew she was special. She was perfect in almost every way, or at least to the pair. It was all too obvious that she was just like her mother before she was even able to show any signs of her connection to the green through the simplest anamoly about her: her skin. The coloration of her skin was different, with a greenish tint. And after doing a little bit of blood work on her, they learned that she got some of the plant-like anatomy that both her parents seemed to have. Traces of chlorophyl was mixed with her blood. And, along with it, seemingly deadly levels of toxins. Just like her mother, she was poisonous. But both her parents at least understood what that meant and they were more than happy to teach her and help her how to control the abilities the two of them were hoping she might have.
As she grew up, Izzy was home schooled. Her parents didn't quite trust her to go to a school. After all, she wasn't quite able to control those toxins yet and the last thing they needed was attention on them. Not to mention, she preferred to hide away in the green house whenever either of her parents brought up the subject of her going to an actual school. She would crawl into the smallest of corners and draw the plants around her. They would move at her touch, helped her hide when she asked for it. Her connection to them was strong, stronger than even Pammie had expected. She'd watch this and feel proud that her bloodline would not die. And not only would it not die but it would help continue what she had started.
Her parents didn't go out as often as the once had, wanting more to train their daughter, make her the protege that they could be proud of. Make her into the perfect bio-weapon. As she grew, her mother taught her what she could. As each 'talent' started to show itself, she would do what she could to help with them. The easiest was to help with her connection to the green because that was something that Pammie understood the best. She helped with the toxicity issue a little as well. It was all a mind game and they just needed to teach her how to use that remarkable brain of hers to the best of her abilities. While Pammie worked with the powers, Jason worked with the sciences, the 'classwork' so to speak.
Isabella learned fast. She was a smart cookie and, by the time she was thirteen, she was at an almost collegate level with her studies, especially in the realms of the sciences. She was scared still but she was starting to come into her own, hitting puberty is never easy, even more so for someone with the her anatomy, but she was learning to control everything much better than anyone would have expected. And, for the first time, she was the one to bring up getting enrolled in a real school. Her parents didn't quite think it was a good idea but she seemed so desperate and, try as they might, they really couldn't tell their little girl no. So they enrolled her at Gotham High School and hoped for the best.
The first few days were tideous. She had to wake up far earlier than she would like in order to shower, absorb enough light to help her wake up, and then spend an hour applying make up to make herself appear normal. Her Aunt Harleen had given her a few tips on how to do it, even shown her a few times on weekends. It was annoying, but it worked. Though she hated the fact that she had to wear contacts. It was great, once she got used to the schedule. But what she hadn't expected were some of the things that going to school entailed, namely physical education. She had managed to get through a few months without 'phys ed' being a bad thing. Until swimming came into the picture. It wasn't so much that she couldn't swim, it was more so that her make up wasn't water proof. But try as she might, she wasn't able to get out of it. And then came the chlorine in the water. She tried to do as she was supposed to but, fifteen minutes into the class, she started feeling weak, light headed and dry. With every passing minute, she was starting to feel worse and worse, but she tried to push forward. Until they went quiet. She couldn't quite hear the plants around her, that she knew were just outside the walls. Plants she knew were so close yet they were quiet to her. And it scared her. She panicked, growing weaker and weaker and soon, she fainted in the water and almost drowned. She woke up to some mans lips on hers, his breathe revitalizing her. But in helping her, something terrible happened. This was before she had too good of an understanding of pheromones, especially her own. And man was she in for a surprise when he started following her around like a little puppy for days after that. She was lucky, no one was hurt, but she wasn't lucky enough to not be labelled a freak: her make up had washed away.
Kids were relentless but the boy tried all he could to make her feel like she fit in. All she wanted was to be normal, to belong with these kids. But she was never going to be normal, never going to fit in. She didn't bother with the make up after that, found excuses not to go to gym so she wouldn't have to go through that embarrassment that seemingly came with it. She couldn't do the things that they could. She was lucky she hadn't died from the chemicals drying her out and she wasn't about to let that happen again. Instead, she'd sneak to the library and bury herself in the science section, reading all she could on subjects such as toxicology and bio-chemistry. She was wonderful in school, just an outcast. But at least she had that boy. She thought that maybe that was love. She didn't realize that everytime she kissed him, she was 'intoxicating' him. And he didn't realize that he was addicted to the sensation.
Ove the summer before school started, she learned something. Her green skin didn't have to be permanent. She had found herself wishing so hard that she would be normal, imagining what she would look like if her skin was naturally the right pigment. And slowly, the green started to fade. It wasn't permanent by any means but if she could control that, it was something that was worth focusing on during the day. She thought that starting that sophomore year was going to be a change. She had who was at that time her boyfriend, a wonderful guy named Anthony (that very boy who had seemingly saved her) and she could look normal to everyone else. Slowly she thought that maybe she could be normal, but her parents were starting to worry. They knew she was never going to be normal, she wasn't meant to be normal. But, as much as they wanted to, they couldn't just force her to stay away. Because they knew trying to force her might ruin the only chance they have at turning her into their little weapon against humanity. So they'd train and watch as she learned from her own mistakes. And learn she did.
It took until her senior year in high school but, finally, what her parents hoped would happen finally did. Her and Anthony thought that they were going to be truly serious, he'd even proposed to her at homecoming and she'd delightfully accepted. He never pushed her, because he wanted that high he got whenever she kissed him. He knew she was different. But he never knew just how different she actually was. Near the end of the year, he found out about who her parents were. That should have been the warning sign to him but it hadn't been. When he witnessed with his own eyes what she could do with plant life, though, that was when he started to freak. He called her a monster, told her that he shouldn't have tried to save her. So many nasty little things that ate away at her. Her first heartbreak, her only heartbreak, and she didn't like how it felt. She didn't like it at all. And she didn't like the fact that he was the one who caused all that pain. With a little help from the greens (vines and ivies being used to tangle around him) and a little poisonous kiss, her first love learned that she could be a much worse monster than he thought.
She seemingly vanished from school after that. The body was found, still entwined with dead vines all around him. His veins were protruding, dark green lines spreading away from his lips. The toxins had been fast acting, he'd died quickly but painfully. And she was gone, back with her parents and finally willing to become what they wanted her to be. She saw just how terrible people could be. And the only person she had ever cared about had been no better than them. So she went to her family, and her parents were so proud. They moved from Gotham and started working as a team: Poison Ivy, Floronic Man, and Nightshade. The three were a force to be reckoned with as they started terrorizing the world, one bio-terroristic attack after another. They could have done that forever. Until it happened: The Battle that would change everything.
The three of them saw The Battle as a threat to the Green, a threat to everything that they were working towards saving. While they didn't care for the safety of the people in The Battle, they did care for the safety of their planet and they stood, side by side with the likes of Batman and the Flash to save their world. But at what cost? Because in that Battle, Izzy watched both her mother and her father fall at the hands of the cretins that fought on the side of the kabal. But she refused to let them take her. She fought with all her heart and, though she got injured in the Battle, her wounds were no where near fatal. She fought for her mother, for her father, for the flowers and the trees and even the grass. She fought for everything she felt was worth saving, but not for the people of the Earth. Because the people of this Earth were dreadful, insignificant, and she could care less about their safety.
When the battle was over, Izzy rumaged through the bodies to find her mother and father and dragged them away. She didn't want the help of these 'heroes' to heal her up. She would be fine. She wanted to just give her parents a proper sending off. With the help of the Green, she wrapped her parents both in ivies and vines, like blankets hugging them tight before dragging them into the Earth. They were buried under an oak tree sapling, it was the only marking of their grave. And after they were buried, she left them behind, promising on that green grave that she would continue their work from now and forever.
A few years after the Battle, Isabella was arrested for charges of bio-terrorism, though there was no true proof backing their charges. They had her booked under the name 'Bella Donna', an abreviation of her true name, though they would never know that. She was ready to stay quiet, would have let them think they could keep her in a jail cell while turning that place of theirs into their own grave. But she hadn't gotten that chance. The officer opened her cell and escorted her out, saying she had made bail. How, she had no clue. Until she saw a man standing outside the jailhouse watching her. She didn't understand why he helped her but she was one of the few people who paid attention to any person that made the news in some kind of way, whether it be for technological advancements, scientific breakthroughs, or even crimes. He was young, much younger than her, but there was one thing she knew about him, and that was he was stinking rich. She saw use in him, just as he saw use in her. Wherever she can help him, she does, in exchange for help from him. She went to college to study, using the money he provided to help her with the expenses and she did the little dirty biddings he asked of her. They made quite a team, her and Max.
Even though she had never given up on her other life as Nightshade, Max soon became her first priority. She couldn't quite understand the trust she had in him. Actually, it sickened her. But she wasn't about to lose the one person who had the money and the power to help her reach her goals. So what if she used him a little? He helped her get out of more charges than she could count. She became his assistant of sorts when friendlink.com took off and when he started up a new Royal Flush Game, she hoped right on board. She had started up R.O.S.E around the same time but balancing the two doesn't seem to be much of a nuiscance. No, everything was going to look up, everything was going to be just fine. The world would know the Green's wrath, because between Nightshade and The Queen of Hearts, almost nothing is safe.

Isabella stood amongst her flowers with a smile on her lips. She had just turned seventeen and everything, absolutely everything in her life seemed perfect. She had marvelous grades, wonderful parents, and the best fiance she could ever ask for. She loved him with all her heart. Even though he was the only person at school that didn't seem to treat her like a freak, she still felt that her life was perfect. After all, what could possibly go wrong?
No one ever seemed to venture to this part of Robinson Park, especially not at this time of night, so Izzy figured she was safe. She didn't want to go home just yet but she wanted to talk to her beautiful plants. They were wonderful, listening to every word she spoke. They cared, or at least they seemed to care, even if they could saw much back. A vine was crawling out of the ground, moving up towards her and wrapping around her legs, caressing her ever so gently. As it reached up to her hands, she ran a finger along it, a small flower budding and slowly starting to blossom where she touched. "My babies, grow for me. Let my happiness be yours," she cooed. And they seemingly listened.
"They were right..." Came a startled voice from behind her. She twisted around, the plants moving with her. She smiled as she saw who it was. Anthony, her fiance. At that moment, she wasn't hiding the color of her skin. The light green color was almost shining in the light of the moon. She stood straight, opening her arms to him and beckoning her closer but he only stepped away. "I knew you were weird but... You're... You're a..."
She was confused as to what he was trying to say. "Anthony, I'm just me! I'm special, remember," she cooed. "I'm a speciallittle flower."
"No, what you are is a freak, like everyone says. I thought that maybe you just had a skin problem. You're too hot to be some freak but... but this? You're just a monster!" His words hurt her, already she could feel a pain in her chest and a twisting in her heart. She tried to walk closer to him but he just kept stepping away. "Stay the hell away from me you freak."
"But Anthony... I... thought that we-"
"We are nothing, you were just a free high. What we are is finished. You're disgusting, nothing more than a mutated freak. I shoulda let you drown because let me tell you something, Iz, no one else wanted to go anywhere near you to try and save you in class. Not even the teacher. I should've listened to them, shoulda let you die," he spat. Each word was dripping with venom and malice and it broke something inside of her.
The pain came on quick, unbearable, and before she really knew it, the vines that had been wrapping around her were unspiralling from her legs and growing quickly towards him. His eyes went wide but as they went to snapped at him. Anthony tried to turn and run, tried to get away, but he hadn't been quick enough. The vines and thorny ivies started wrapping themselves around his body as she watched them. The pain was quick, being replaced with a burning anger. She knew that she wasn't liked much at school. She may have the looks but the rumors that went around about her made most people steer clear of her. But this? This wasn't something she'd expected. Anthony was supposed to be different, Anthony was supposed to understand her, and she thought Anthony would have been understanding of her gifts when she finally told him. She guessed she was wrong.
Anger boiled inside her as the vines wrapped tighter and tighter around him, starting to slip around his neck. She grinned down at him, gripping him up and leaning in close. She could see the fear and disgust in his eyes. He was truly no better than any of the other kids in school. Then again, had he ever been? Her lips were inches from him and she was focusing on the only venoms she liked: Deadly Nightshade toxins. They seemed to always be present in her. In times like these, they were easier to secrete through her lips and her fingers. "I'm the monster?" she asked. "The only monster I see here is you, Anthony. But if you want to see a monster, I can show you one," she cooed before forcefully pressing her lips to his, kissing him, pushing that concentrated poison into him. She didn't wait to see the effects of the poison. No, she simply let him go and left him there to rot. "Humans, filthy humans, you're the monsters, not me..."
Isabella shot straight up out of her bed, breathing heavily as she tried to comprehend what had happened. She didn't understand it, but that dream, the memory of that night still hurt her, still haunted her. In some ways, that night had been a blessing, she had learned the true nature of humans that night. But, at the same time, it still hurt her deep down. She had truly loved him and he had been nothing more than a monster. Just like the rest of humanity.
Getting her breathe back, she rubbed at her eyes and got out of bed. Glancing towards the clock, she groaned. It was eleven. She had slept in, meaning she was late. She didn't have the time to get a shower or make her bed, having to throw on some clothes, a pair of glasses, and run out the door. She'd have to apply make up around her tattoos when she got to Max. They had a meeting this morning and she was pretty sure it had already started. Izzy was cursing under her breathe as she hailed a cab. Even as she sent Max the message that she was running late, though, all she could think about was that dream. That damned dream. Why did it effect her like this? Not even the death of her own parents haunted her like Anthony's death. But as she got into the cab, she realized: it didn't matter. "Max is what matters right now." she muttered, staring out of her window. "So let's just think about him tonight."
