Tarrand'r and his daughter Koriand'r II were having one of their famous father/daughter days. Tarrand'r was always spending time with his little girl but when he had time away from shooting it was really special. He was usually working on some sort of project or movie of some sort. Then of course if there wasn't that he was working the night as the vigilante Night Fire. Sure it wasn't quite as huge, but it still kept him busy. But he did do his best to keep up with his daughter and always make sure she had her time with her father. Sure it did have a tendency to annoy a few studio people and even what amounted to his friends, but if that was the case then he didn't care about them. All he really cared about was Kori, or KJ, and making her happy. Today she had a soccer match, indoor of course, but then he was going to take her Christmas shopping and just have fun. Tarrand'r was on the side lines wearing a simple Gotham Rogues baseball cap, sunglasses, jeans and a T-shirt. His black leather jacket was folded on the chair beside him. He was cheering his little girl on as she led her team. He was standing with the rest of the parents, who, after the first few games were pretty much used to him being there.
"That a girl! Just like you practiced!"
He called out. She was going down the field with the ball and was slide tackled by one of the other kids. Tarrand'r could see the other father cheering what his son had just done and shook his head. He knew that KJ was going to take all of this out on the goalie now in her free kick. And judging by the way the goalie clapped maybe KJ would believe she deserved it, even if it wasn't true. KJ lined up for her kick. Once the ref blew the whistle she charged forward and kicked the ball with all her might. The goalie wasn't even ready, but tried her best admittedly, as the ball flew clear past her into the net. Which was good, because if she'd hit the ball bones would've been broken. The signaled the end of the game and KJ ran over to Tarr who picked her up in a hug.
"Good job Spitfire. You were amazing. I think someone has earned pizza and MAYBE a trip to Toys R Us."
'Maybe?'
"Ok, of course."
'Can we visit Grandma too?'
"Anything for my little athlete."
She cheered as he set her down and grabbed his coat. She said goodbye to her coach and teammates before taking his hand and heading out with him.
Later on they were walking down the street, ice cream cones in hand and looking around as they did, just looking in the windows. She was used to the paparazzi and like him, simply ignored them. As they walked he looked down at her and smiled before bumping into someone and quickly apologizing.
"Oh, I am so sorry..."
