She snorted at that. "Me? Be just a boring old friend?" she asked. That was laughable, that was a riot even! If there was any word in the dictionary used to describe her, Rayne "Tempus" Madrox, that one word would be anything but boring. She didn't have a boring bone in her body! And if she did, it was probably broken at one time or another to make less boring. Yes, that right there was sound logic for the girl. If it broke, it's no longer boring! It seemed to have worked so far in her life! Probably. "You need to get a new definition for the word 'boring', May."

She listened to May rattle off a list of her friends and, when she thought of it, they did seem to make it look suspicious. She did see that. But she was serious, she honestly didn't choose her friends by how they looked. It simply helped. She ignored the comment about why she hadn't sent JJ May's way. He was a very different story entirely. Plus, there was an unspoken bro code even amongst females. Exes were no goes. "Oh dear, you missed someone on that list of yours!" she cooed. "I made a new friend too recently! Well, not recently. Recent is relative. Hell, it might not even have happened you! And he might not think of me as a friend. Things like that are all wibbly wobbly, as you know." It actually took her a second to think that over. She wasn't entirely sure of the date. To be fair, she also wasn't entirely sure when she had met the asgardian either. She really needed to work on that. Get a special watch or something. "I met another... i think he's an avenger, I'm not entirely sure. But mmm mmm mmm mmm mmm, was he yummy. I think his name was T'shan. And he had the cutest bird. You can add him to the hot friends list!"

She started to laugh, imaging her brother getting blasted. "I would seriously pay money to see that happen. Just so i could take a picture of it. It would be a moment to go down in history!" she was quite serious about that too. And what wouldn't be amazing about that?

She picked up her new shot, listening to May's order. "Aye aye, captian. Whatever you say!" she laughed before downing the shot and putting the glass back down on the counter, upside down. She licked her lips of the alcohol as she started to rummage through her pockets to pay with. "So where are we headed next?"

While May was of course not serious about Rayne being boring, she definitely agreed. Of course she'd meant that they'd be nothing more than friends, which May was mildly upset with. While she'd never actively try to seduce her she also wasn't against anything happening. Of course if they got drunk then, well, what happens happens.

"Oddly silent about your movie star ex..."

She mumbled quietly to herself. May always wondered what was up with those two. Of course May would never dream of bringing it up. Primarily because she assumed it was a sore spot for her, for whatever reason. She was the one who'd ended it. Of course if Rayne was like her, and let's face it, she likely was, then even she didn't know how she felt about him. However their conversation later turned to the Scion, someone she knew well. Well, not as well as she'd like to but definitely knew of. Then again what red blooded person attracted to men didn't?

"Ok, there better be a damn story here. I want to know EVERYTHING. Like just how far does that tattoo extend. I mean I've heard rumors it's even on his...hammer."

She said with a laugh. She was mildly upset Rayne didn't lead with something like that. That's far more interesting than whatever nonsense they'd been talking about. She slapped some money on the bar and simply threw Rayne over her shoulder. Being able to bench press a car made things like this easy as hell.

"We're going to another bar, a cheaper bar. Then I'm going to get you sloppy drunk till you tell me EVERYTHING about that Asgardian God. I should throw you for not leading off with that."

She said shaking her head.

"Then we'll see what else comes out of you when I get you drunk. I have plans."

She pretended that she hadn't heard what May had muttered. She wasn't going to get into that and May knew it. It did, for a moment, make her wonder just how Mister Last Action Hero and Barbie Girl. She should probably try calling them sometime, too. His daughter was so adorable, after all, and she just adored her. She was going to have to pop by for a visit or see when she could babysit they kid again.

Thankfully, May latched onto the topic of the Asgardian hearthrob ans it made Rayne snicker. "Well you know me, i don't kiss amd tell!" she teased, leaning forward slightly to bop Spider Babe on the nose.

"But man was he a looke-ope!" It seemed almost sudden, being picked up and tossed over May's shoulder but it made her laugh.none the less. "The least you could do is let me sit nicely on your shoulder, geez!" She shook her head, trying to seem comfortable in such a position. She really should be used to it, though. Man, if she was strong enough, she would do the same thing to Miss May Day. Maybe someday she can find a Homo-Magi to help her do just that. Wouldn't that be fun, even if it was temporary. "The lengths you would go to to get me to spill. It's admirable, really. But don't get your hopes up!" She teased.

"Oh dear, she has plans. That's a terrifying thought. Whatever could these plans be?"

"Bullsh*t!"

She said with a laugh. She knew Rayne would occasionally kiss and tell. Sure usually a lot of booze was involved and May needed to give up something first. Not to mention even then it wasn't likely she'd give anything up. She'd long given up getting any information about JJ. She had a feeling he was into crazy stuff, but now she'd never know. Well unless she slept with him herself, which wasn't likely to happen. Primarily because there were rules and so forth. Rayne would need to ok it first, and likely even then May wouldn't. While she didn't know what the deal was with those two she didn't want to risk sabotaging anything.

"Oh I know he's a looker, anyone with eyes knows that."

She said, ignoring her complaints about being on her shoulder. She gave a light laugh and was soon out into the night air.

"You're right. My planning usually ends badly for me, who knows what it'll hold for you."

She said with a laugh. Sure she could plan the hell out of almost any potential mission. But, that was different. When it came to planning personal life matters, it usually failed. Probably because she was so used to seriousness.

"That is so not fair, missy. You can't bullshit my bullshit!" She laughed, trying to stare over her shoulder at her friend. "Besides, name one time i kissed and told!" She was determined that, no matter how much booze she consumed, she wouldn't talk about this one. Besides, poor guy was famous, as he said. She didn't want to get him in the news. Yet. Nawww, it would have to be worth it. Not that she didn't like making headlines. Actually, she loved it! Almost as much as she loved seeing her picture in history books. Boy was that always amusing.

"Well then what else do you reeeeally need to know?" she asked with a laugh. His looks were all anyone needed to know about. Her brother probably knew more about T'Shan than she did, being the liason to the Avengers, but he wasn't someone she liked talking to about guys. Every single time she tried, he tried turning her back to JJ. How many times did she need to explain that they were through until he understood, anyway?

"Knowing my luck, this will end worse for me than it will for you!" That wasn't even an understatement, which was probably the saddest thing. Rayne tended to attract all kinds of trouble, even when she didn't mean to. But trouble was the spice of life for sure. "But seriously, what's this plan of yours?"

"That's the problem, I can't! I give you great stories, sometimes on the verge of 'Dear Penthouse'. And what do you give me in return? Nothing. Hell either you never date or you give me no good stories. It's quite rude really."

She said shaking her head. Sure she wasn't actually angry Rayne didn't give her any stories. But still, it's only fair. Besides they were best friends, why not tell everything? It's only fair after all. Ok sure, maybe May over shared, but still. Rayne could still share something. Especially since May was vaguely aware of some of her past people.

"Oh Ray Ray, you know I'm not the kind of person who plans. Well sure when it comes to the big stuff I plan. But moments like this I mostly just wing it. Primarily because I usually have more fun when this happens."

She said with a laugh. She walked into another bar and sat Rayne down on a stool.

"4 shots for her and 4 Heat shots for me."

She said to the bartender. He nodded his head and began pouring. He set the four shots in front of each of them but then added a pill to each of May's.

"I'm gonna get you drunk enough to just keep talking. Then we'll see what comes out. It's either this of physical torture. But it'd have to be at my place and I just vacuumed. So clearly that's out."

If you get the chance you better keep her

"You know whyyyy i never give up the good stories?" she asked with a cheeky grin, not like May would actually see her smile. No, not when she was being carried over the woman's back like she was her freakin' punching bag. But she never did mind it when May handled her. No, it was amusing as well. And it always led to her being able to jokingly brag to her team mates how the Spider-babe couldn't keep her hands off of the little time pirate. "Because the only stories i have worth tellin' made it up on a big screen and down in history. No one really needs to hear them again." Or, well, she liked to think that was the reason at least. Really, it was probably more so because she either a) didn't really do much that she thought May would find interesting or b) what she did do was with some people that she just really didn't want to talk about. There were plenty of other reasons, too, but those things she really needed to worry about. No one really needed to care about them, not at the moment at least.

"Pffft, yeah right, you don't plan? That is the biggest lie i have ever heard come out of your mouth. Maybe not with things like this. You can't plan around me, but I'm preeeeetty sure every little bit of your life is planned out outside my drop bys," she joked as she was sat down on the bench. Oh, this was so much better. She wiggled her butt in the stool and got herself comfortable before she let her eyes gaze around the bar. It didn't look much better than the last but did any bar every look that good when you really got a look at it? That was probably part of their appeal, though. "I swear, the chauffeuring services in Metropolis are just amazing! They bring you right to the bar and everything!" she chirped to the bartender that May was ordering from. "And man, does this chauffeur know how to pick the places with all the hot bartenders." She winked at him as the shots were set down in front of them. She watched as a pill was dropped into May's and, well, she wasn't about to question it. Probably something to help her actually get some sort of buzz off of the alcohol. Man, she was so happy that she just had a high tolerance from abuse and not a near resistance from some crazy healing powers.

Rayne picked up one of the shots and looked it over before downing it. As she twirled the glass and placed it back down, rim down, on the bar, she looked at her friend, doing her best to waggle her eyebrows. "Oooh, don't you go teasin' me with torture, missy. You might find me becoming more stubborn just to see what you'd do to me. All helpless in your apartment. You with your nice and biiiig... claws." She tried to say it with a straight face but soon she erupted into chuckles. "Drinking or physical torture, though. Both sound like such b e a u tiful options."

May didn't exactly believe her story. Sure, Rayne claimed to have a lot of interesting stories that resulted in movies being made about them, that wasn't the point. May wasn't interested in hearing about her time as Cleopatra (again) or her being some great something or another. She just wanted a story about one of her sexual conquests. She never shared stories even thought May ALWAYS told her everything. Then again May always told her friends everything, even if they didn't want to hear about it.

"You know the stories I wanna hear TARDIS-girl. But no, you refuse to share stories. So apparently I have to force it out of you."

She said, carrying her around. But she was glad they were at the new bar. Here people knew her and didn't question her, not like elsewhere. Not to mention the guys here never bothered to hit on her. Well occasionally a new guy would come along, or someone would try and push their luck, hitting on her. Usually she dropped them, hard and it got people to leave her alone.

"Plus I don't plan much outside of missions. Yeah I plan the hell out of them, but everything else I mostly just...go. I hate plans, it's not fun, always taking the surprise out of everything."

She said shaking her head. She never did fully understand WHY she hated plans so much, just did. Her main reason was likely her parents attempt to give her structure when growing up. Not to mention SHIELD was all about planning, always planning. So in the end, she tried to live randomlly. But even she had to admit it didn't exactly work. But as Rayne made a joke about the torture and so forth May had to simply roll her eyes.

"You sound like your brother. But I guarantee you won't have the same outcome he had. It'll likely just be you begging for mercy and spilling all of your deep dark secrets."

She said laughing. Of course May knew that Rayne would likely end up fighting off her torture techniques out of spite. After all if even half of the stories Rayne told her were true she could handle a lot of crazy stuff. It'd be tricky but May was always down for a challenge. She grabbed another shot glass and downed it, sighing lightly.

"Ya know part of me is jealous."

She said after a brief silence where she downed a couple more shots.

"People throw themselves at you. Enough that you get to pick and choose. Meanwhile I can't make a relationship last more than two weeks."
