"Oh I never claimed you were weak. I just claimed that you would be little to no match for me. It is not arrogance, simply a fact."
He said with a calm shrug. He wasn't trying to be arrogant but knew deep down that most would think he was. He simply thought that he was a superior combatant. He could crush her with one hand if he truly desired to. Of course he'd never do it, unless he had to of course. While she seemed fun and beautiful she also seemed like she had human limits. Sure she could time travel and go to different universes but her strength was that of someone in good shape, he assumed.
"Aye, Skugga and I have a psychic and emotional connection. However he is not saying too much about you, right now. If anything he is telling me to be on my best behavior. Well he did make a comment about your butt but otherwise not much else."
He said with a laugh. Skugga tried pecking at him again but T'Shan moved his hand away and laughed. With a smirk he turned his attention back to Rayne and took a swig of his bottle.
"Aye I play cards. Not often though. Usually when two of us are stuck on monitor duty we will play cards to pass the time. I have been told I am not very good however. I prefer a fight to pass the time but perhaps that is just the Asgardian in me."
He said with a laugh. Skugga perked his head up when she mentioned travelling with him. He moved over closer to Rayne and seemed to almost smile.
"I do believe he is indeed interested in that. And he is a very good travelling companion. Stubborn quite often, but otherwise good."

Rayne shook her head at him. He sure did sound arrogant for not trying to be. It was cute, actually. But it sounded like he was meaning to rely solely on strength and his hammer. She doubted that was the case, but it was how it sounded. It was laughable at best, but she knew that, in regard to strength, he was right. "Just remember not to judge a book by it's cover, Mister Thorson. That kind of attitude could blind a man in battle. And so can alcohol in the eyes."
She smirked hearing what the bird had said. Even if it was just a comment about her rear, it was still something. "It really is exquisite, isn't it?" she cooed towards the bird, twisting as much as she could to look at her bum. Well, get a nice glance at it at least. It would be impossible for her to actually get a look at it. She should probably start doing yoga again, try and get that flexible. Though yoga was always so boooooring.
She did laughed when T'Shan said something about how he was at cards. It hadn't taken her even a second to understand why he said it and, well, it was cute all the same. "As exciting as card games are..." she paused, shaking her and laughing all the more. Better yet, she wouldn't tell him. "Actually, come to think of it, maybe you and i could play cards sometimes. I know quite a few twists that could make them much more... appealing," she said, practically purring. She wondered how he was at poker, or if he understood the terms of using clothes to fill the 'pot'. What? She was only human! And who wouldn't want an excuse to see that?
Rayne reached out towards the bird, trying to reign in her laughter. She wanted to try and touch it, see of it would let her. "Well, Skugga, you just find a way to tell me when and where and you are always welcome to come. Just be gentle with me, not sure how i would really fair with those biiiig, stroooong talons." What was her life? Was she flirting with a bird. Maybe she needed to get herself checked out. Then again, it was simply all out of pure fun and amusement. Plus, she wondered what sort of reaction she might get out of the both of them.

She sounded like his sister. Always going on about how he shouldn't be so basic and gullible. Not to mention he also shouldn't judge a book bu its cover. He did have a tendency to simply go basic and assume because someone was small they wouldn't be a threat. However that didn't always work out for him, but in the end he always won. It always worked out though so he didn't see why he should worry so much. He laughed lightly as she seemed to be discussing her butt with Skugga. It was indeed a confusing conversation.
"Oh very nice indeed."
He said with a light smirk. It was indeed hard to argue that. While it may not have been the most polite thing to say, it was still accurate. She did have a very nice butt. He was glad she didn't slap him like some women did. He however didn't get her laugh at his comment about card games.
"Card games? I am very interested in that. However should we do that I suggest we make things more interesting. Primarily because I understand alcohol makes cards more interesting. Not to mention I have some special alcohol in my home."
He said with a nod of his head. He liked the idea of learning some of her new card games. He figured they'd be very interesting, especially if she was teaching them. However when she began flirting with Skugga things got odd.
"However I can not help but wonder if you have not already had too much to drink. You are hitting on a bird."
Skugga squawked at him and he shook his head.
"You may be smart but you are still just a bird. Mystical yes, but a bird."
He said with a laugh before taking a swig from his bottle. With a sigh he glanced back over at her and smiled lightly.
"Not to inject myself but I do not like the idea of my companion travelling so much without me. Especially to another universe. After all I am not sure what would happen to our connection."
That much was actually true. Their connection was complicated, even he didn't fully understand it. But he knew them being very far apart could be problematic for both of them.

She wondered a moment what was going on in the man's head. She almost wished her telepathy worked with more than just her brother. It would be wonderful to see just how he was actually following this conversation. From her understanding, Asgardians didn't always seem to get what was meant by things. And, from the way that he had interpretted her 'If you play your cards right', he was no exception to that little rule of Asgardian understanding. This could be sooo much fun. Or at least for her. Messing with people was a pastime, though she was going to try and be nice at least. He seemed like a good person to befriend, after all.
His mentioning of 'special alcohol' definitely did well to bring Rayne back to the actual conversation. "I was thinking more of... special wagers but yes, alcohol, that could do really well too!" She'd never had Asgardian alcohol before. She wondered now what it might be like. "Is this special alcohol something from your father's home?" She couldn't help but inquire, after all. Special alcohol just sounded so... interesting, something that she could brag to her brother about, she hoped. What wasn't interesting about alien wine?
His reaction to how she spoke to Skugga made her chuckle. "Oh, don't get your panties in a bunch, Mister Thorson, i was teeeeasing. I've just barely started drinking and I'm no where near being lightweight." She paused a moment, looking to him. "You should probably learn when someone is joking and when they are being serious. It'll save you a lot of trouble."
Her food finally came and, were it not for the fact that she knew this was simply a small time Gotham bar, she would probably be disappointed that their best was just some burger and fries. For something so simple, it jsd taken far too long. Then again, they might have been gettimg ready to leave when she ordered. She would still pay, of course, she wasn't that much of an ass. She picked at her fries, practically ignoring her drink now. "Well, there is no better way to see than by experimenting!" she pointed out. "I am kidding, by the way. Then i guess you'll have to prove yourself trustworthy so you can join me and Skugga!"

He laughed lightly. He knew he didn't often understand things like humor and sarcasm. However in this case it was she who was confused. It felt good to know he wasn't the only one. He took a swig from his bottle as Skugga decided to settle in and get comfortable.
"Oh I am indeed interested in these wagers Rayne Madrox. I was referring to drunken cards. You see I am unable to get drunk off this, I have tried. I have a special Asgardian Ale however that can get me drunk. You see I am a famous person, I can not risk making a bad decision and bad pictures getting out. But get me drunk and, as you Midgardians say, I am fair game."
He said with a laugh. He did have a feeling however she was no lightweight. While he could likely out drink her with out trying. Her with grain alcohol and him with Asgardian Ale could prove interesting however.
"You know Rayne Madorx, someone questioning my honor has seldom worked out for them. However, I am fairly certain you did not mean any offense by it. However I am curious what I must do to prove my worth."
He said with a smirk. He took another swig of the bottle and noticed her pick at her food. It didn't look too amazing. But then again it was late and this was dive bar food. If she didn't get food poisoning he'd be surprised.
"So what will it be? Defending your honor? Slaying a dragon? Defeating the Black Knight? Although where I'll find a black knight at this hour I'm not sure. As for the dragon, well, I do know a realm that has creatures that are dragon-esque, as they say. Although they are really very peaceful. Well, except for the one who nearly took my arm..."

Rayne chuckled. "And while you may have been talking about Drunken Cards, i was using cards as a figure if speech, silly Asgardian," she teased. "Though a drunken game of poker with a strappin' guy like you? What's the worse that could happen!" Yes, she knew better than to joke about things like that but what was life without a little adventure and excitement? She picked at her fries, pointing at him a moment. "Man, it's gotta be hard to get ya drunk, though. If it takes special ales. I'mma have to travel to Asgard and get some of this alcohol to make you fair game!" Of course, she was only partially kidding. It would be a nice excuse to try and see Asgard though.
She dunked the fries into ketchup before tossing them into her mouth, listening to his every word. "Trust me, if i was tryin' to offend ya, you would know it, oh Mighty Tattooed One!" She just couldn't get the teasing tone out of her voice, though she was able to stop herself from giggling like a loon by picking up the burger for a bite of it. Forget her previous mental complaining, this was totally worth every single penny she was gonna spend on it! She didn't care what people said, dive bar food wasn't always so bad.
She licked her lips slowly at his next statement, almost in thought. Slay a... no, did he really just offer that? She downed her drink, stole another few fries, and waved the bartender over to get her a box for her food. "I know a nice little dimension with dragon-y things too. Slaying one from either will do. We might have to go back in time to defeat a black knight for my honor but any one of those things'll do the trick. Yep, definitely!" As she spoke, she got her food into the styrofoam box and paid both their tabs with everything in the wallet. "I'll be back in like, five minutes. I've got an apartment close to here to drop this off at. You decide which way to gain my trust and prove your honor!" She didn't even wait for a response, teleporting herself to her apartment about a block away to toss the food into the fridge and then back again.
"So, which shall it be?" she asked. She knew such a short port would have only made a few minutes go by. Thankfully. She hopped from foot to foor excitedly. This was gonna be a hoot and a half!

He laughed lightly as she mentioned having to travel to Asgard in order to get some special Ale. She likely wouldn't be the first one to try and go there just for booze. While it was rather far for a beer run, if one had the means it wasn't a terrible idea.
"Be careful Rayne Madrox. For one simply getting there is difficult enough. But being an outsider only there for alcohol, well that may not exactly go over too well."
He said with a smile. Of course something told him that something like that wouldn't stop her. Which was something he appreciated in a person. She did what she wanted and did it with no regard for what others thought. Yes, he'd want her at his back in a fight. She would do whatever was necessary in order to win. As she left he sat there sipping from his bottle of tequilla. He had a brief conversation with Skugga and noticed her return. But before he could answer Skugga butted in.
'Please. He won't turn down a fight, especially a dragon. He's an idiot like that.'
Skugga said to them both. T'Shan meanwhile reached out and scratched under Skugga's chin.
"Aye, he's right. I've never been one to turn down a fight. Mainly because a good fight is always fun."
He said with a laugh before grabbing Mjolnir and resting it on his shoulder. He looked over at Rayne with a smile.
"Lead the way Rayne Madrox. You can get me to a dragon creature, and I could use some new boots."
Ok he might not actually skin a dragon and make boots. However he also wasn't against it. He knew a few people in Asgard who could make it happen. So he'd keep that option in his mind.

If you get the chance you better keep her Awww, that was cute. Was he actually trying to dissuade her from doing something stupid? That was probably one of the most adorable things anyone has ever done. Actually, it was always adorable when people did it, honestly. Because it just meant that they were so naive to think that the great Rayne Madrox was actually going to listen to them! What more, it was probably something that would likely just encourage her further to do the stupid thing she was being told wouldn't be a good idea. In this case, that being her trying to find the right dimensional portal to Asgard. Wouldn't it just be so wonderful there? Even for a moment. And if trouble called, she knew she could get out of it just as quickly. It wasn't like she hadn't done things like it before. She was a beacon of trouble, honestly. Every little thing she did was something people would think was stupid, dangerous, ridiculous, but that wasn't something that was ever going to stop her. Still, as she had returned, about to saying something more, a bit of an unfamiliar voice filled her head. She didn't like voices in her head that weren't either her own or her brother's. She almost glanced around to find who it was when she realized. It was the bird. Oh my goodness, did Skugga actually talk to her? She grinned, almost ear to ear as she looked at the birdie. "Oh, I'm sure Mister Thorson here can more than handle himself if faced with the likes of a dragon! Besides, if things get too rough for 'im, I promise to get him out of there, okay, Skugga?" She was trying to be assuring. Was it working? She wasn't really sure. She could never be sure, actually, as she tended to be one of the least assuring people she knew. Try as she may, something about her mannerisms tended to lead people to believe the opposite. Which was kind of funny, given that she was pretty much an open book. She wrapped her arms around T'shans's and stared forward a moment. "Thanks for the grub, pops! I'll be sure to come back!" she yelled over her shoulder before opening up the portal in the middle of the bar. People stared, some as if they were just trying to figure out just what was going on, other's clearly wondering if they'd gone mad. But most of them didn't pay it any attention. As if oddities in this city were something they were used to. Good people these Gothamites were. Just wonderfully good people. She lead her through the portal before quickly closing it behind the three of them. Before them was a wide expanse of trees sloping up towards the mountains. For a moment, she was actually kind of confused. An arm fell away from him as she scratched her chin. "I coulda sworn this was the one... But this just..." she was cut off by a thunderous roar, echoing all around them. "There we go! Let's find us a dragon!"She's sweet as pie but she'll turn cold as a freezer ✿

T'Shan laughed lightly as she looked around confused. When Skugga did decide to talk to people it usually threw them off. That was part of the reason why Skugga rarely spoke to anyone at all. Well that and he liked to keep to himself. Of course given the way he often spoke to people that was mostly for the best. Everyone knew Skugga had gotten T'Shan into more than his share of fights. Luckily Rayne seemed to handle telepathy well enough that told him she was likely used to it. That did definitely raise questions about her, but he'd have time to raise said questions.
"Oh, I shan't need your assistance Rayne Madrox. I have yet to meet a man or beast that I can not defeat. However I am looking for the perfect opponent, perhaps this adventure can help me find said battle."
He said with a laugh. As the portal appeared he followed her in, Skugga flying onto T'Shan's shoulder. T'Shan stopped behind Rayne and looked around. He was not familiar with this area, nor this method of travelling. However this seemed to truly be full of promise. This reminded him of the ancient stories he had read as a child. Brave knights slaying dragons for fair maidens and so forth. Of course his sister always made fun of the princesses. But still, T'Shan liked the stories. When he heard the roar he looked around, taking Mjolnir off his hip. A challenge seemed to be nearby and he was looking forward to it.
"So tell me Rayne Madrox. What do you know of this area?"
He asked walking with her, looking around. It seemed so far, to be a sort of ancient and primal area. But of course he was only seeing a small aspect of this universe. But the roars he heard in the distance filled him with promise. He knew there was going to be a powerful fight coming up. But a fight in which he could prove himself to Rayne and have quite the fun later on. As for how much fun he had that was up to her. Skugga meanwhile took to the air and began circling around over head.
'This world looks so boring...'
He said to them before coming back down to T'Shan and landing on his shoulder.
