Her comment on his serenading was clearly mistaken. Apparently the sound quality in that news van wasn't that great. He had an amazing voice, everyone told him so. Ok maybe not everyone, and it was mostly no one. But still, he knew she was mistaken. But apparently she had several mistakes. Between his singing and her obvious feelings towards him. But eventually she'd see the light and everything would be ok. Of course that was assuming he survived this encounter. But that didn't look as likely as he'd have hoped.
"Alright. But I want you full on weeping over my casket. Wearing black, a veil, the whole 9. Swearing off all men forever because none will match my good lucks and general awesomeness. Then again how many people can live up to a King and about 4 or 5 generals? Well that and a few other notable titles."
He said with a laugh. When his arm did its job and he took the man out he laughed lightly. He was actually surprised it even worked. Of course he'd never let that on. Primarily because it would mean admitting that he thought his darling Ginnie's plan would fail.
"Not sure you'll be able to interrogate him Ginnie. Mainly because you don't have the clearance. As for my arm, well it was designed by a Stark, not sure which. Either your great great grandkid or your brother's. If you're up for the challenge go nuts. Otherwise the designer does still owe me a handful of favors. Pun only partially intended."
He said with an awkward shrug. That was primarily due to his dead arm. While it was possible it would eventually recover, he wasn't so sure. It'd never dealt with any power like that before.
"See, I know you cared for me. There's no way you'd risk my life if you didn't. Just try not to be so clingy."
He said with a wink.

Here's to being human and taking it for granted Olivier certainly was full of himself, wasn't he? He really seemed to think he was the best thing out there. It must have been all that time travelling he did, it messed with his brain. She was almost certain that had to be the reason because, otherwise, the man was just insane and, well, she wouldn't really mind going to the Director of SHIELD for a little talk about their agent's psyche evals. Even if that meant she herself would be subjected to one. "If you did die, I wouldn't make it to the funeral, remember? Because your sister would have my head. That's assuming she even knows I'm here when you die. If you die. But you won't die, so it's stupid to keep going on like you expect to." Actually, she was pretty sure he didn't actually expect to die. No, he was just being an ass because he wanted to hear her say something that would inflate is ever growing ego. Not like any of that mattered. She turned her gaze to the coat, using her free hand to rummage through it, find if there was anything planted on it or in it that wasn't meant to be there, not like any of it was really meant to be there. She was still pretty annoyed by it. But not as annoyed as Olly made her for a moment talking about her 'clearances'. "You seem to be under the impression I really care if I have your clearance or not. If I want my time to interrogate him, I assure you, I will get it. It may take a few days, but I will get the chance," she said, not even bothering to look at the man. There was something bothering her about this whole thing. This man didn't look smart enough to make something like this. And it wasn't like the blueprints to her suits were public knowledge. Of course, she was still under the assumption it was a cheap knock-off. One part ego, one part fatigue, that's what she was going to fall this. She kept her thoughts to herself for the moment, though. She had no real reason to vocalize them until she was certain. "As for your arm, I'm always up for the challenge. It means I might have a nice little project for a few days." Not like she didn't have something she was supposed to be writing for the board or anything. Nonono, that was done... she was sure. It was done, right? Oh, well, whether it was or wasn't, she was sure she would have the time for both. A small yawn passed through her lips as she opened them to say something else. "If it was my grandchild, I'd almost be curious as to who I even had a kid with to have made a grandchild, though. But none the less, if I can't do it, as if there is anything in this world I can't do, then be my guest, go back to your little future and get it fixed." However, the thought of poking around inside his arm was one she quite liked. Imagine the things she could find inside of it, the things she could modify it to be able to do. And a tracking chip finding its way into it somehow, without her knowledge of course, wouldn't be too far fetched. Ginnie rolled her eyes and had to actually force herself not to want to hit him for that comment. "Quite honestly? I just prefer not having to answer to Rayne or Director Coulson were something fatal to happen to you. But if you thinking it's because deep, deep down, i have some semblance of emotional attachment to you is what helps you sleep at night, then sure, let's go with that."636 | @captain | Notes here, la la la~ |

"Oh Ginnie, don't you know? Everyone dies eventually. Death has been chasing me for many centuries now. Nearly got to me 8 years ago in the Battle. But that's a story for another time."
He said briefly as he ran. He knew eventually his luck would run out. While he'd never actually admit it, he was really incredibly surprised it hadn't yet. The closest he'd really come to dying was in the Battle when he'd lost his arm. While he never told Rayne this he had accepted that Death had finally claimed him. While he of course would have missed his sister dearly he also knew he'd had more than enough adventures for one lifetime. He also knew Ginnie had a point. If she wanted to get some time with the man, she would. All it'd take is a little finagling and some hacking she'd make it happen. That was one of the many things he liked about her. The type of woman who seemed almost personally offended by the word no.
"I have no doubts about that Miss Stark, and I look forward to watching you interrogate him. I am curious about your interrogation style. The calm and sexy, or the brutal almost unnecessary violence? I'm guessing somewhere in between, sexy violence."
He said with a laugh. Using one arm he reached into his coat and grabbed a cigarette, awkwardly lighting it before giving a relaxing sigh.
"Sorry though. A few days isn't an option. After all, this is my ARM. I'm not going one armed again. I did it for a day, or I think it was a day. Not sure. Either way, felt like an eternity. So no, that won't happen. I do have work to do other than ensuring the Avengers continue Avenging. But I am a man of my word, well when I remember it. I do have some free time coming up. So I'll give you one day."
He said before sitting down and the hood of what was left of a car. He knew they'd be in shortly to begin cleaning up, but truth be told he was tired. He hadn't had to move quite like that for such a long time in awhile. Sure he was good with a few bursts here and there, but over all out of practice. Not quite like his sister. She was always at the peak it seemed. But then again she saw combat a lot more than he did. He really needed to work on that. His time as a liaison had weakened him, whether he'd want to admit that or not.
"Ginnie, you know I can't tell you just who you may or may not have children with. 5 children, 3 boys and 2 girls. Of course it's equally possible I'm making it up and that I'm confused with another version of you. Wouldn't be the first time either. Hell I once called Coulson, Rodriguez for a week. I think he was equal parts annoyed and confused, a talent really."
He said with a smile. He took another drag of his cigarette and managed to place his essentially dead hand in his pocket. Mostly just to keep it out of his way. Often times his arm could heal but in this instance it was pretty much fried.
"So your place or mine Miss Stark?"

Here's to being human and taking it for granted "I'm not daft, I know that everyone dies. Don't even get me started there," she warned. It was a pretty well known fact that her brother had died in that battle eight years ago. She didn't need some smart ass trying to explain to her that everyone dies at some point or another. She knew all too well what death looked like. And it wasn't pretty. Death was cold, death was unforgiving, death was something she wished she could fix, but nothing can stop death. So, instead, one just needed to learn how to keep from dying, how to extend the life they have in order to keep going for as long as they want before death finally tries to catch up to them. Virginia rolled her eyes at Olly. He was just being ridiculous now, she could see that. Annoying thing he was. She had to refrain herself from trying to smack him for his idiocy. "First of all, you will not be doing any such thing as, if I interrogate him, i'll make damn sure that you can't watch. I don't need you getting all pervy over my interrogation style. Secondly, keep talking like that, and you'll see that brutally violent interrogation style first hand," she warned, though there seemed to be a bit of a joking tone beneath it all. Annoying as he was, at least he was a good ally to have. He was someone that she could at least trust in the end, and that's really all she cared about in the end. Someone who could have her back when she needed it to be had. Just like she was sure he trusted that she would have his back when it came down to it. After all, she had pretty much just saved his life now, hadn't she? Well, she liked to think she had at least. "It's your arm, I can't really complain. An entire day should suffice, though a few would make it so much better. I've always wanted to examine that thing. See if I can properly reverse engineer it. Not that it quite matters, I'm sure I could build a perfect replica if I actually sat down and got to work on it," she mused. Arrogant as she could be, wasn't she? "Although, I don't think we need you to make sure we keep Avenging. I've got a pretty good handle on that aspect, though it's nice to have a real liaison between my team and SHIELD. I might be an Agent, but it's really not so much my place as the team is. But that's besides the point. I've got a nice little set up at the Mansion, you're always welcome to stop by and we can get to work on it. And, before you get any ideas, no, that is not a date. Because, knowing you, you'll find a way to try and misconstrue it into sounding like it's a date but it is most assuredly is not."She listened to him and shook her head with a light somewhat forced chuckle. She wanted to punch him in the arm, though for that. Five children seemed a bit excessive for her. She doubted that was a version of herself from this universe. Maybe one of the countless other verses out there, but not this one. And, certainly, she was positive none of them were to Olivier, so that was really all that she cared about. "I'm almost curious, did you call Coulson that to piss him off or did you actually think that his name was Rodriguez for a week?" She was almost disappointed that she'd missed that. She would have loved to see the look on Phil's face. The last question had her confused for a moment. Oh, right, it might be best to get out of her. "I believe his place may be closer to your current location, Miss Stark. Just do stay out of anymore trouble before you get there," the voice of JARVIS buzzed in her ear. She rolled her eyes at it as she twisted to start walking away. "Your place. I've been told it's closer. And I kind of trust my informant. Let's not dilly dally, I need coffee if I'm going to continue staying awake."713 | @captain | i feel pretty bad for taking so long again ^^; |

He gave a fake pout when she said he couldn't watch her interrogate him. Of course he'd also still try to observe, maybe just without her knowledge. It wouldn't be that difficult to slip into the adjoining room after she started. But he himself was curious about this guy. Was this an isolated incident and some nutball trying to prove he knew tech? Or was he put up to this by someone. Given the way he used the coat he suspected it was someone else over seeing everything.
"Oh Miss Stark, you never let me have any fun. But your desire to keep me away has me thinking I was right about the sexy violence."
He said with a laugh. He loved giving her crap and randomlly hitting on her. Although the fact she was also made slightly uncomfortable by it was a little fun. It was mostly because she was usually so reserved, well as reserved as a Stark can be. He seemed to enjoy messing with her though. Well the fact she was hot didn't seem to hurt matters either. As she went on about making a replica and so forth he shook his head. He didn't like the idea of there being a replica of his arm at this time. The way it could influence tech was rather dangerous. Especially when taking into account his arm was already well advanced beyond basic timeline's tech.
"Inviting me to the mansion and your lab? I'm honored Ginnie. But you're right. Not a date. Don't want Captain getting jealous. I may not fear much but a jealous man with his skills is something to be concerned about. My shield combat was never that great."
He laughed lightly at her question about Coulson. He sighed and shook his head. It was a serious problem he would likely never get over. It was just goo to know he wasn't alone and that his sister was in the same boat.
"No, it really happened. The confusion is surprisingly common. Plus I've got coffee at my place. It's maybe a block from here."
He said with a nod of the head in the direction of his apartment. Well, one of his apartments at least. Like any SHIELD agent he had quite a few random homes scattered around.
"Hope you've got enough tools with you."
