Celeste wasn't necessarily prepared for San Francisco. She had honestly planned on spending her weekend at home, curled up on the couch, watching a zombie movie marathon on television. It had been something her and Adam had been looking forward to for weeks. But as the genie's lamp began to glow on the coffee table, she knew that her plans were gonna have to be rescheduled. She made sure to set everything to record and Adam promised not to watch anything without her. After that, she had gotten herself just the bare essentials: ebony and ivory, sparkles, and some holy water flasks hoping it would be enough. She also had a bag of clothes she had thrown together before she had rubbed the lamp and wished it to take her to the disaster zone.
That had been at least three days ago, however. She had spent the days following up on a few leads, spending her days asleep in a hotel that she personally felt was way too crappy to cost so much. But beggers couldn't be choosers.
Celeste was just leaving the hotel, wearing her grandfather's flak jacket. She had a few magazines in the ammo pockets. The flasks of holy water and Sparkles (the stake) were also inside it. She had locked the Genie's Lamp up, having not felt the need to bring it with her. It would be safe, especially if small protection circle she had made workwd how it should. It didn't always, sadly. Her steel toed boots made a faint sound against the asphalt as nighttime slowly started to take over, the crescent moon starting to rise in the sky. No wolves tonight. And thank goodness for that. She wasn't looking to get herself stuck in a hairy situation.
She snickered at her own joke as she found herself on a less than decent part of San Fran. Good, just where she wanted to be. There were houses and corner stores that looked as if being poked might make them fall apart. She would hate to get into a fight in one of them. Thankfully what she was heading towards was a bit sturdier than that.
Finding the warehouse, she pulled a picture out of her pocket and looked it over then back at the warehouse. This was the one. She just hoped her informant had his facts straight. She was quick to find her entrance, going into stealth mode as she went in through the back. Quiet as a dormouse, that was her strategy. She thought she was being careful, but as her foot got caught on a trip wire, she realized she wasn't being careful enough. Something wrapped around her ankles and an alarm sounded, one meant for those with advanced senses to be able to hear and it made her wince. "Well f*ck..." she muttered. She bent down to work at the rope that had wrapped around her ankle but she wasn't quick enough and, soon, it was being pulled. The next thing she knew, she was upside down and hanging several feet above the ground. There were a few people starting to gather in a circle around where she hung. She offered up a grin, wishing she had brought David along. That knife would be real useful right about now. "You boys sure know how to treat a gal! And here i thought i was gonna miss the party."
