The controller was lying on the ground. So was Gizmo. Cap picked it up and clipped it to his belt. It didn't make sense to destroy it, since his team had taken the robot out already. He figured maybe he could give it to Ginnie as some sort of combination apology/nice gesture. He was already regretting the comments that he made to her over the open comm. James stood there and listened to the rest of his teammates bicker/flirt over the open comm. Iron Maiden had her hands full with this bunch. Himself included. He made a couple quick mental notes.
Scion and Hawkeye needed to flirt less. He needed to follow orders and Ginnie needed to learn how to run a team. He was fairly sure she was competent at running a company, but a superhero team was different. He was going to have to talk to her about that. Assuming, of course, that she didn't repulsor him through the nearest building in the next five minutes. He opened his mic for one second and closed it after saying: "Target neutralized". Hawkeye's comments about what he said to Ginnie were right on the button. James wasn't used to working on a team and it showed.
'Good job, Barnes. You're making a whole bunch of new friends. At this rate, the Red Skull will have a place on this team before you do. Maybe, Lydia was wrong about this whole thing. Maybe, I'm not cut out for the team thing.' None of this was said out loud. That alone would make Princess Sparklefists manifest and punch James across the city until he saw reason. Or stars. Probably both.
Cap leaned down and picked Gizmo up, throwing the mad scientist over his shoulder. He walked over and tossed the villain down unceremoniously, before throwing some zipties on his wrists. Then Cap walked over to the group. "Nice job, everyone." He looked over to Ginnie for a moment. "Can I have a minute of your time, Iron Maiden? It won't take long. Promise."

Here's to being human and taking it for granted "If the two of you don't stop it, I'll have you two locked up in personalized containment cells until you learn to keep the utter shameless nonsense out of battle," Ginnie warned. And she wasn't kidding either. Call her paranoid or just well prepared, but she did have plans for such containment cells somewhere and she'd build them in a heart beat if she needed to. Aileen's and her own were a lot simpler and far less reinforced than, say, James's or T'shan's but she felt that they were a necessity. She was quite pleased when the battle was won, however. The thought that they should probably clean up the robot parts passed her mind but, well, maybe the team should do something together. Maybe... she wasn't sure. Though she feared what suggesting hitting a bar would result in. After all, Aileen and T'Shan were already bad enough as it is. She didn't need either one of them getting drunk. There were certain things in her life that she would prefer not to see. And, well, alcohol, with it's mental inhibiting factors... who knew what she might end up accidentally seeing? She slowly lowered herself to the ground before making the face plate of her helm slide up. She smiled at her team. They had done good, at least. "Good job team! I say we..." she stopped talking as James came over and asked to talk to her. She looked back at Aileen and T'Shan. "Hold that thought."The way he said it, she could tell he didn't mean in front of the team. Well, she could have been a bitch and stayed her ground, told him to just come out with it but that wasn't really much of her style. She made a gesture with her head away from the other two and started to move away, trying to get to a distance where the demi-god couldn't hear them. She turned her attention to James then with a slightly annoyed look. She didn't take the fact that he'd been so rude too kindly and she crossed her arms over her chest as best she could in the suit. "What is it, Cap?" The highs and lows of living, to getting second chances ✿

Ginnie was right. He also knew that likely his father and sister would be telling him the same thing right at this moment. Of course he had a feeling that at least his father was actually watching him. Every now and then the stone around his neck would get warm, telling him that his father was there watching. Plus his sister would no doubt have more than her share of words for him. She seemed to always have words for him. He often wondered how Ginnie and her didn't get along better.
"My apologies Maiden, and to you Hawkeye. That was rude of me. No need to lock me up, I will be good, for now."
He said with a wink to Aileen. Ok so this whole not flirting thing would be easier said than done. But he was working on it. He would need to work harder at it, to cleanse his mind better. As James and Ginnie walked off to discuss something, which he ignored. His senses were acute enough that they'd need to be quite a distance away for him to not hear. But he'd trained himself to tune things out and give people their privacy.
"You were quite impressive out there Archer."
He said walking up to Aileen. He smiled at her before turning to examine the robot, or what was left of it. He kicked one of the seemingly dead legs and shook his head.
"This is beyond anything even he has done. It seems he grew tired of being defeated. Shame the result was still the same."
Just then the robot began to shake side to side. The controller that was now in James' possession, provided he hadn't handed it over to Ginnie yet, began to beep. T'Shan sighed and pulled Mjolnir off his hip.
"Of course there is something else."
Then all at once the shaking stopped. T'Shan stepped closer, trying to see what was happening. He himself wasn't too concerned about an explosion. He knew he likely could withstand it, but he knew the collateral damage would be high.
"It might be wise to back up."
T'Shan was expecting the thing to explode but he was well off. Instead, out of the opening where the head had been smaller versions of the robot began to crawl out. They were only about 4 feet tall and 2 feet wide. They also seemed to be lacking in an axe style hand but from here he could tell they were very sharp.
"Maiden, Captain....a moment...."
The smaller robots began to swarm all over the bigger robot before seemingly turning their attention back to the heroes. T'Shan twirled Mjolnir, ready for an apparent round 2.

Aileen bit her lip to keep from snorting at the extreme threat from Ginnie. It helped that she knew that the other girl was more than willing to do that. "She's not joking," Aileen told T'Shan, "She will put us in containment cells." In the entire time Aileen had known Ginnie, she'd not known her friend to make idle threats, and she had known her to go to extreme lengths to deal with what she considered bad behaviour. Especially when it was Aileen's behaviour. "Well we did it," Aileen said, "And I don't think any of us are worse for wear." Sure, T'Shan had been punched through a building, but he was a big boy, he could take it. Now, it seemed to Aileen that going out for a drink was the best way to celebrate taking out a killer robot. Or maybe ten drinks, but they'd earned it. Maybe T'Shan would put his money where his mouth was, and maybe James would be easier to deal if he was drunk. Or at the very least if she was.
Aileen was about to respond to Ginnie when James came over to talk to her for a second. She stepped back as Ginnie walked over to James, trying not to shoot a dirty look at him as she turned back to T'Shan. "You weren't so bad yourself, demigod," She commented, and then as he went to examine the robot, she gently slapped his butt. "Ginnie's not looking and now it's even," She said with a smirk, and then stood to look at the broken machine with him. She shot a look at Ginnie and Captain America. "What do you think those two are talking about?"
Before she could say anything further, however, she heard the beeping and, even before T'Shan had spoken, she'd thrown herself backwards, skittering away, and quickly notched an arrow in case Gizmo was trying anything. And then it opened, and the smaller robots came out. Well, that'd get in the way of James and Ginnie talking through anything. "Looks like he did try something different," Aileen commented, replacing the arrow with her last explosive one as she backed up, "No need to look quite so happy about this, T'Shan." But she was smiling herself.

Lots of things were going through James' mind. He watched Ginnie cross her arms. The next thought was that she'd fire the Unibeam and James would smash through a wall. This wasn't going to go well for anyone. He'd just gather up his courage and say what he had to say. He saw a quick glare from Hawkeye. He wasn't going to win her over anytime soon. At least T'Shan wasn't glaring. That would just take the cake. James looked Ginnie straight in the eye.
"I'm sorry, Iron Maiden. I over stepped. I'm still getting used to working on a team. That was rude of me. I'm going to make a public apology in front of the other two, so I can attempt to repair undermining your leadership over the comm. I accept any and all responsibility and any punishment you deem necessary." James holds out his hands in a placating gesture. He would accept anything she deemed fair. He decided that it needed to be done.
There was a strange beeping and James felt his belt vibrate as the remote started going off. He sighed and looked over at the shaking robot. "That is never good. At least in my personal experience." James unclipped the beeping remote and handed it to Ginnie. "Don't suppose you can make this stop?" When the robot stopped shaking James looked at Ginnie. "I was expecting a boom." And then the robot opened and smaller versions started walking out of them.
James sighed and looked at her. "It's always something in this business..." He reached over and set his energy shield to energy blast mode. This was going to be interesting.
