Alex every once in a while would visit the battleground to pay respects to the fallen heroes and just visit her mothers statue. The memories she could remember of the battle weren't good and it pained her to even think of them, so it took a lot of will power for her to visit so when she did she usually would do something she loved doing afterwards, so she was going to the battleground backpack over her back with her costume inside.
She walked through the wasteland passing the many statues passing and stopping at some of them. Of course she never really knew them, but the times she went with Jessica they were people she was once close with. Of course she had no words to say to them but there was some form of acknowledgment she felt just by being there. She spend the longest in front of the statue that Jessica would usually linger at. That of the previous Captain Marvel. Whenever Jess would take of the 'good old days' it would always somehow involve Carol. After waiting around for a few moments she made her way to the outskirts of the battleground to where her mothers statue was. After a few minutes of staring and trying to hold back tears.
"Hey mom... uhm I guess to continue where I left off last time... Met May... she was cool I guess, plus I took down a rampaging Rhino that would even make-" She was going to continue until her Silk-senses started going off like to the point it was deafening. She jumped out of the way of whatever was going to happen right as a rather large, odd looking man as about to walk right past her. As her Silk sense started to adjust and calm down she saw a man with what looked like skin of gold and purple walk past, just looking at him made her silk sense tingle, whatever he was here for it wasn't anything good, and by god she would stop him doing anything to be-fowl anything here. She quickly undid her backpack, looked around for anybody that could see her and quickly changed into her costume.
"Sorry to cut this short, but..." She said looking in the direction of the man was walking "Duty calls." she said starting to trail the guy. Sure her powers told her this guy was trouble but taking him down for no reason, he first had to something wrong or at least try to before she could do anything. For all she knew right now was that he could be the son of Captain Atom or something.
She knew he wasn't there to mourn about anybody the moment he got to the statue of one of the Green Lanterns and just seemed to laugh at the statue.
"Look who's dead now little punk! This is for all the trouble you caused me!" the man said as he winded a punch to destroy the statue.
Alex reacted quickly and shot a line of web to the fist. "No I hope you weren't planning to do what-"" Alex was quickly and easily flung by the villain with just a movement of his hand hard onto the ground.
Alex slowly started to get up from the ground with a groan "Okay less talk more-" before her silk sense as she noticed a beam of energy going right for her. She successfully dodged being struck full on by it but it did still hit and sent her flying again.
"Did anybody get the name of the dick who hit me?" Alex said trying to stand up again but struggling.
"Major Force! and I will be your doom!"

Phil had been a bit more harried today than usual, glancing at Lydia every time he walked through the living room as he barked orders on the phone. She thought about asking him what was going on, but knew he wouldn't tell her. There were lots of things he couldn't divulge, and she'd learned awhile ago just not to pry. He was a very good poker player. Today though, his straight face seemed to be slipping just slightly. She wondered why he was taking calls at home, when he should just be on the Hellicarrier for these kinds of things. But, she figured, he was keeping an eye on her after everything. At least he wasn't asking her all sorts of questions, or asking her how she's doing every 15 minutes. That probably would have driven her crazy.
She was getting the feeling that the phone calls might be about her, or at least related in some way with the way he kept looking over at her. But she simply remained on the couch, reading her book in silence. She was only able to catch snippets, her curiosity getting the better of her as he moved completely into another room to talk. Quietly, she put the book she was reading down, and to avoid any creaky floorboards, she simply floated after him, hanging out just outside the door. She could hear more, now that she was paying attention, but it was still only half of the conversation. They were talking about someone named Zmeck. The name sounded familiar to her and she started to wrack her brain before she audibly gasped. In an instant, she was in Phil's office and he paused mid sentence to look at her.
"Where is he?" She asked flatly, trying to mask her rising anger.
"Lydia, don't worry about it. We've got it und-"
"Where is he?!" she slammed her fist down on his desk, the sound of splintering wood filling the sudden silence before his desk just completely collapsed. She'd heard Clifford Zmeck's name a few times in her life, and every time, it was something horrible. Some things her dad refused to talk about altogether and even her Uncle Hal was hesitant to discuss the things the man known as Major Force had done. If he was out and running around, people were going to get hurt and she was not going to let that happen. She was also uniquely suited to take him on, drain him into ineffectiveness and toss him back into his cell.
"Lydia..."
"Phil. Please. Where is he? You've got no one else to take him down. I'm tired of sitting around here doing nothing. I'm going stir crazy and...that...He needs to be handled. I can do it. Now, tell me where he is." She didn't look down at his desk, already feeling horrible about destroying it. She'd apologize later though, she had a bad guy to punch in the face right now.
"Battlegro-" Phil didn't even finish the word before she was gone in a flutter of papers, leaving Phil in his office alone wondering how much time was too much time spent with speedsters to learn their dramatic exits.
Lydia flew as fast as she could, wondering just what the heck Major Force was doing at the Battleground. She had an idea, though she really hoped she was wrong. She formed her costume on the flight over, her helmet closing over her face as soon as she hit subsonic speeds. She arrived in the blink of an eye, spotting his garish gold and purple form near her father's statue. He looked like he was about to destroy it and that made her see red. That was the only place she could talk to her dad, only place she let herself not be the happy girl everyone knew. She was not about to let someone destroy it.
With an angry shout, she flew into him, driving her fists into his midsection with all of her momentum, blasting him away to watch him bounce along the ground. "Someone needs to put you back in your cage, Major Tantrum."
Lydia hovered between him and the memorial, her hands and eyes glowing brightly with power. She knew she had to be smart here, not just strong. But he was going to really push her buttons.

Alex head was a bit fuzzy as she looked back at the creep that had just given her the fastest and most uneven smack down she had faced so far by anybody. She couldn't really tell what he was doing. All she saw as a blur of purple and gold, and a glimmer of red. Than a lot of red. Then no more purple and gold. Alex started getting up "Note to self: never get hit like that ever again." She said as she got up fully.
Thankfully her vision was a bit more clear now and she could see the Gold and Purple man on the ground a while away getting back up and she looked around to where the Major Force was standing before he got knocked the f*ck out. There was a new figure floating in front of the Green Lantern statue. It didn't take long for Alex to realise who it was "Helen?" or thats at least the name she remembered for the new Captain Marvel. She was about to loose focus entirely if it wasn't for the fact that Major Force swore loudly and started getting back up. "Wrong time to discuss this, back to major bozo over here" She said with anger in her voice. This guy was the scum of scum for even trying to destroy anything in this sacred land.
The man looked like he was to explode with rage, but then he did something that surprised Alex. He started laughing. "Careful pipsqueaks, I've handled whole teams of heroes who had a better chance of beating me then two wannabe fakers. Tell ya what, you surrender now and I'll kill both of ya all quick like." He said smugly to the two of them.
"Look... Major Force. I know you're pissed that you're stuck with the absolute worst villain name I've heard since Paste-Pot-Pete, but if you ever dare think I would let you run rampart here without a fight, you are sorely mistaken." Alex said cracking her knuckles, she knew already from what this guy had done that it'd be a really tough fight, but she would defend this place to the very end like how most heroes would and it seemed like she would have to as her silk senses started buzzing like crazy as the man seemed to be charging up some kind of power.
"Wrong answer!" He shouted before sending a massive energy blasts towards the both of them. Alex moved out of the way before she could get hit again with whatever energy he spat out.

Lydia's anger dissipated momentarily when she heard her name. Well, her given name, not what everyone called her. She turned and looked at Silk curiously, trying to figure out who was under the mask that would know to call her by that name. Phil only called her that when she was in super trouble. But she was right, wrong time to discuss who's who, especially as the Major Jerk was asking for another fist to the face.
"Fakers? Really? I could take you with one hand behind my back. You're the wannabe faker!" Lydia realized with another person there and the whole memorial around her, she had to fight smart, not angry. Even though she wanted nothing more than to pound this guys face into mush, that lead to problems and slips ups and she couldn't do that.
She jumped in front of Silk just as Major Force let off his new attack and she stood there and absorbed it all. And did not like it one single bit. Absorbing energy always felt weird to her, but this just felt gross. It was still energy, she could still convert it, but she was not happy about it. It was like eating a week old burrito and these were the consequences of that decision.
"Fight smarter not harder," She mumbled to herself as she fired a few potshots at him, trying to come up with a plan. "Silk! Right...that's your name? Silk...I think he sees entirely too much. Can you take care of that?" Lydia was flying by the seat of her pants, but if there was anything Lydia had learned from James, it was planning on the fly. Even if they were really, really horrible plans.

Alex was more then grateful when Lydia possibly saved her from something more then a painful death. Whatever this psycho creep was spewing her silk senses did not agree with it at all. Though the main thing Alex was worried about was the fact that this guy would not only be extremely difficult to restrain but due to the close nature and the amounts of memorials around they had to make sure he didn't destroy anything. Alex felt like she had better chance and taking down the Sinister Six in one of their convoluted plots then doing this.
Silk tried her best to keep her range from this guy, but that made it a bit difficult to actually hit the guy, right now she felt more of a liability then an actual help. So far what was going on was just Marvel and Major Force trading shots, while Helen involved her in a plan she had, or at least something that needed to be done for whatever she was brewing up to work.
"You got it Cap'n" She said with a smirk and a small playful salute to Cap. A Big guy like that it really shouldn't be too hard.
Now the problem was to get the his attention towards her. Which shouldn't be too hard, this guy didn't seem too smart, he seemed more the type to be easily distracted by something annoying. Which was exactly one of her specialities. So when he turned to fire a shot at Lydia he turned his back on Alex. A great position to get his attention
"You think your puny attacks can hurt me? HA! I laugh in your face!" The jackass mocked. Thought he was right. From what Alex saw all the attacks that hit the guy seemed to do nothing. Of course she barely knew who the guy was and had no idea what powers he could posses. During then Alex made her move. She fired two shots of silk from her fingers to the calfs of the brute and pulled with all her might. The Major klutz wasn't expecting and stumbled forward.
"Who has the balls?!" The brute asked as he turned around and pointed at Alex "You're deadmeat!" before starting to charge at her.
"Geez you need to calm down. Theres no need to throw a Major Tantrum" she said with a small giggle at her own terrible joke as the giant man was charging at her at full speed. It didn't take long for him to get close enough for Silk to springing a trap she had planned.
With a quick movement she was somersaulting over the man and shot web at his face blinding him. She landed behind him as he stumbled to the floor. Apparently the sensation of web hitting his face mixed with not expecting her to even dodge threw him off balance. While he was on the ground trying to get back up Alex started firing a barrage of stick webbing to keep him on the floor and just an annoyance, though it seemed like it was doing very little. His strength was a lot more stronger then the stickiness of the webbing and their tensile strength.
"Whatever you're planning do it fast! He's not gonna stay down and blind forever!" She said to Captain Marvel as she tried to keep him down
