The sun had just gone as what constituted darkness fell upon both Central and Keystone City. Things were going well and life was just normal. Until there were two loud booms and power went out through both cities. Then just as all of the emergency generators came on a powerful wave went through both cities frying every semblance of electronics. People were just beginning to scramble and panic as the fires were starting to spread but suddenly massive thorn walls went up around both cities forming an impenetrable wall. Of course as the massive walls went up a variety of vehicles, cars, trucks and planes, were smashed. They ended up as flaming rubble and soon the panic was spreading.
Suddenly a winged being began flying over the cities dropping sparkling powder on people. It seemed odd at first until within minutes people were fighting with one another. Just as the thorn vines moved aside and made a doorway for Apocalypse and a variety of soldiers following him.
"I want you to bathe the city in the blood of the weak. It is time they know who rules this world."
Apocalypse moved away from his soldiers, aside from a few that stuck close to him. Yes he could crush anyone on this pathetic planet but at the same time he didn't like wasting his strength on the weak humans of this city, or cities or however the humans the separated themselves. He knew it wouldn't take long for the police, heroes and various sub-military forces to begin to respond. It wasn't long though before they were in firey heaps in the middle of the city, taken down by various flying soldiers.
Apocalypse approached a Flash monument in the center of the city and with a wave of his hand it was rubble.
"How long have I been gone that running away is a power? Pathetic."
He watched his soldiers begin destroying the city and knew in the distance they were destroying all buildings they could. He could hear the roars of rage and fighting increasing as more people woke up and found themselves angered. Blood was spilling in both Central and Keystone as citizens began attacking each other and destroying anything and everything, really doing his work for him.
"Now Pestilence. Cull the herd."
He called out, knowing Pestilence would hear.

Adam kept his head bowed as he followed along with Apocalypse and the other followers of the blue behemoth. It wasn't out of any particular sense of difference, but rather because of the phone in his hand he was playing a downloaded game on. Or had been before he cast a look in Apocalypse's direction. "You could have warned me you were going to do that. I have a lot of things I like on this phone." He groused before allowing his gaze to sweep out towards the twin cities of Central and Keystone... and their new barrier.
"I suppose that's a nice line of defense... but what happens if someone starts strafing with defoliants?" He inquired, furrowing his brow. It might have been pleasing to some of the people around him that Death was using his head about the situation. "Plant manipulation isn't quite new enough that there aren't hard counters for it." He added, stuffing his now useless phone back into his pocket and beginning to trek along with his leader and their followers.
As he entered the city, the former Titan kept his features neutral as the chaos unfolded around himself. Every so often he detached from the retinue around the blue man to pursue a would-be assailant, or to stop a straggling police officer, or advancing national guardsman... often with a level of force that the youth would have once called 'excessive nine notches ago'. But, he continued to return to the boss' side, hands resting in the pockets of his hoody as he watched the destruction of the Flash's statue with a wince.
"...Running AT the trouble, tends to be the power associated with him." Death offered quietly, keeping his head on a swivel now. "Speaking of... he should BE here by now. Fasted Man Alive and all that..." He found himself whispering after a moment, looking around more quickly. Anticipating a red blur to be striking... well, all of them.

Danny had seemingly taken to his new role of Pestilence surprisingly well. He didn't need nearly as much brain work as some of the others did. He'd been promised an ability to regain the fame he'd lost and and give him the power and right to earn Emily's love. That was all he cared about. So when the call came he'd turned on his fellow X-Men and kidnapped half of the student body. He didn't know what Chari was doing with them and didn't care. He also recognized a good amount of them running around destroying the cities now.
As he flew above in his newly designed green armor he followed Apocalypse's orders and began raining rage inducing Faerie Dust down on the city. While rage was more War's thing they did need to cover two cities. Plus War's new Rage dust had been based on his own faerie dust. But in the meantime he was just having fun, using his staff to take out any helicopters that got two close to the new King.
"As you wish Lord Apocalypse."
He said after getting the order. He flew up higher and the winds around him began to swirl, his aerokinesis having been amped up. He then released a new plague, something of his own creation. A combination of Flesh Eating Disease, Ebola and truth serum. It would only affect humans, mutants and metas would be unharmed. The dust began to spread over both the cities and he knew it would go further. His dust could be inhaled or absorbed through clothes. Of course he also had other plans as a fail safe. He wasn't going to let Apocalypse down, he'd seen what happened to the last War.
Once that was completed he flew down and grabbed a rage filled soldier running at Adam from behind and picked him up, dropping him where he landed with a 'crack' and a 'splat'.
"Be more careful Death. Come on, enjoy yourself, cut loose!"
He called before flying straight into an office window, smashing it. Screams could be heard from inside as he began killing anyone that was in there. He was having fun with the orders of cull the herd and weed out the weak.

Giant, traditional shaped angel wings were folded against its back as it followed Death, Pestilence, and Famine through the Vine Wall. The head tilted up, looking into the air, unseen eyes using the helmets HUD to track Pestilence as he dusted the cities with rage. Metal tinked and clattered together as the wings shifted; each exterior feather made of steel with a razor fine edge. An altered voice hissed out coldly, ”That’s my job.” Their wings spread for a moment before a forceful, downward thrust, pushed the being into the air with a strong gust swirling in the empty space that was left.
Golden eyes scoured the ground below for a suitable...well more like entertaining, place to land. The HUD seemed to know what was needed, highlighting various options before one was finally decided on. Wings folded back, making an aerodynamic V as the armored being fell from the sky at a group of seemingly unaffected National Guard. Asphalt cracked as feet landed and wings stretched out to their full span for affect. Armor flexed on the spine as the wings came back, folding out of the way. An armored arm raised, and metal covered fingers motion for them to come at them.
The black visor flashed a bright, gleeful red as though a sadistic grin was being shared as guns were raised and leveled, and fingers found their triggers. The fliers fingers motioned for them to get on with it and muzzles flashed, cases rained down on the black top, bouncing around the combat boots while burnt propellant billowed thicker until an eerie, and relative silence fell as the gun quieted. The visor flashed again, this time staying red. ”My turn.”
One wing whipped out, metal feathers coming loose, and slicing through the air, under chin straps, and into gurgling throats. Gun started up again, but now there were voices added to it. Voices that tried to be brave, but were filled with fear. It didn’t take long before all but two of them were left...standing. Each struggled to free themselves from the feathers the held them pinned to the grills of two vehicles. The metal glove retracted as the armored being loomed over the first. Soft fingers touched his exposed neck and a need to fight the closest thing began to fill him. ”Before Pestilence comes to ruin our fun,” it hissed before turning their attention to the second. ”Kill each other, with only your hands. Only one of you should have to die by him” And by ‘him’, Pestilence was meant.

There is no such thing as justice If there was one thing that Isabella loved, it was making an entrance and there was no way like making an entrance with an archway. Each step she took close to Apocalypse's side had flowers flourishing up, petals waiting to burst open with various dusts. She couldn't quite mimic Danny's dust yet, but she was slowly working towards it. A hand went out to the side for a small bit of dramatic effect as thorny vines started to weave together in an archway for their entrance. She couldn't help but smirk when each flower bud began to bloom around the archway. Such a beautiful display, how ironic that it was the opening to something that would end in such travesty and destruction. But from destruction always grew new life and that was something she certainly adored thinking about. To the woman, the fires slowly starting to burn and buildings tumbling down were oddly beautiful, though the pain she felt from their residual destruction was hard to ignore. She wished to soothe the Earth, let it know everything would be alright in the end. She'd just have to make it such when all was said and done. She slid her eyes towards Adam as she listened to him speak. She still hated the fact that this pathetic excuse of a child was their Death. She would have made a much better one, she knew so. But apparently that just wasn't in her cards. Still, while not completely her power, hearing him talk as though belittling part of her natural gift. Drawing her hand in front of her, she made another extravagant gesture as though she needed to do so in order to guide a vine up, letting the tip of it trace along Adam's spine. "I'd watch your tongue, little Death," she cooed. Violet eyes slid over towards the boy. "Nature has a rather deadly sting if you aren't careful." Though her tone was lighthearted and playful, she was sure the thinly veiled threat was still obvious. As the vine tip touched the boy's head, it drew back before springing forward, purposefully missing the teenager in favor of stabbing it's sharp tip into one of the fleeing masses. It pierced through the person's ribs before wrapping around them and holding them up. A few more vines started to hang bodies up in no real pattern. Not that she really needed to show off. She was having quite a bit of fun turning such death into a thing of beauty. How elegant it was to her seeing the vines start to bloom, releasing their own neurotoxins to rain upon those foolish enough to run under or around the dangling bodies. Though she didn't think she much needed the approval, her gaze still shifted towards Apocalypse for a moment as though asking for it, awaiting some order outside of 'culling the herd'. Once she offered him a smile, she glanced back to try and find Max. He was bound to be close by. "What do you say to some Royal fun while we tear this place apart?" She mused. Jewels and gold weren't needed but if she could swipe some pretties while killing these fools, she was far too happy to do so. All the best that we can hope for is revenge

“...and here we know Chaucer was talking about…” Mallory’s eyes slipped closed as she nodded off, finding school lately to be more challenging to focus on than ever. But she had made a promise to Owen to have a backup plan. And that meant getting through school with some form of a degree. So she shouldn’t have been falling asleep in class. English was just so boring, it was hard to focus on anything other than the inside of her eyelids.
The window rattling boom just before the lights all went out was enough to wake her up though. The emergency lights kicked on and while everyone looked around at each other, Mal grabbed her backpack and headed for the door. She figured someone was attacking the city, again, and if it wasn’t someone she knew, she was going to run them out of town.
Of course, once she got outside she started to rethink her position. “What the f*ck?” she muttered to herself as she looked up, watching literal chaos descend on Central City College. Some winged freak was dropping sparkling powder as he flew over head. Mal waved her hand in a circle drawing up strong winds to blast the powder away as she ran for a bathroom. She didn't know what the hell was going on, but she needed to get dressed for this type of party. She pulled out her gear and started changing in the dark just as someone came crashing through the door, seemingly in a rage.
“C’mon…not right now. I don't have time to deal with your sh*t.” she pelted the person with hailstones as she struggled into her suit, throwing the trench coat on over it. She snapped the goggles into her head and switched on the night vision before heading back outside.
She flew up a little to get a better look at what was going on and just stared in shock at everything; the giant, thorny wall, the fires, the people attacking everyone else. ”What in the actual f*cking f*ck is going on?” she had to find Aaron. This was beyond insane.
There was still more dust being spread around, and she didn't know what it was, but she assumed it was bad. So she grabbed the wand and kicked up a windstorm, trying to drive the dust away. And then she started in on the rain, trying to put out any fires. This was her home, damn it. She wasn't going to let someone else destroy it.
”OK, asshole. I control the sky around here. Time to ground you.” Mallory pointed her wand as she flew at Pestilence, trying to hit him with lightning strikes.

All the blood, death and destruction was beautiful. As they walked through the arch that Famine, his Queen, had made and he saw the destruction all around him. Central City was minutes from being nothing and he knew Keystone was no different. At best Keystone would only last a few more minutes at best. Maximus threw his robe back, revealing a simple pair of jeans and a T-shirt with a holster and sword on his hip. He stuck by Apocalypse, as he'd been instructed. He watched as the Horsemen caused mayhem and noticed Death seemed apprehensive.
"Death, sir, you need to learn which side you are on. Someone who can run fast is no hero. Lord Apocalypse who wishes to make the world a safer and better place is the real hero. Look at this city, for too long they let their criminals roam free. Sure they spouted little quips about rehabilitation and legality and where does it get them? They are no different than Gotham or Hub. This pile of rubble here was no different. He had the means to ensure people are safe and unharmed and yet he fails. He dares to call out the villains and who pays? The civilians who put up with it weakly! Lord Apocalypse will fix this broken world, the same broken world that did nothing when your friend Roxy was tortured. This same world sent two police officers to handle this. The so called heroes had encountered her a handful of times and did nothing to stop this. Had they acted as they should have she would still have a tongue. The beings this world calls heroes have caused more damage than good."
He turned his attention to the soldiers encroaching on them or who had been trying to take them all out. He watched as Izzy effortlessly turned them into nothing more than decorations for some disturbing Christmas tree. He decided not to mention how much he loved watching that. He drew his sword and walked over to join her.
"Rob a crumbling city with some beautiful treasures then take them back, spread them out on the bed and see what happens? I do love the way you think my Queen and my Goddess."
Yes he preferred a challenge when it came to robbing but now he was going to just TAKE what he wanted. That was the upside to allying with someone like Apocalypse. He was placing himself in position to be a King, and he liked that. Provided it meant that he got to rule beside Izzy. Sure when it came to Apocalypse he knew he'd always be a minor Clan member and that was fine with him. He had Izzy and that was what mattered. As they moved towards a jewelry store he saw some would be hero cop rushing towards them.
"Allow me, Famine."
He said before sheathing his sword and cracking his neck. He began running at the cop, causing him to waver. Max spun around the man and proceeded to wipe his hands off. Sure enough cuts began to appear on his throat and face before he collapsed. He walked back to Izzy examining his nails with a smirk.

Post by Walter West on Feb 14, 2017 20:17:27 GMT -6
Walter West stood beside his father, staring at the television. Shaky camera footage of buildings crumbling, streets cracking straight down the middle, explosions, chaos, and the sound of screaming reaching their ears from the screens as well as from the panic erupting just outside.
"Reports coming in erratically from Keystone indicate that the damage is severe, but nowhere near as desperate as our own. Again, we cannot testify-" The reporter's shrill, rapid voice was cut short but a clipped scream as a mound of rubble crashed into the TV camera's frame. The next shot was of a shadow spilling across the sky, and a mobile whirlwind spouting lightning bolts in the second of it. Walt's breath caught.
Mal.
Wally West spoke first, turning sharply to face his son. Before Walt's eyes could trace his father's movements, the older speedster was wearing his crimson costume for the first time in years. There was no hint of a smile on his face; he looked exhausted.
He spoke: "I have to go." Laying a hand on Walt's shoulder, he continued. "This is it, Walter. This is everything. You remember what I told you?"
Walt nodded sharply, his mouth set in a thin line. Protect who I love, he thought. Die before compromise.
"I'll make sure he doesn't forget." The tone of Walt's voice was final, and his father looked at him with a sorrow that Walt recognized from only the worst of his transgressions. Dad's a hero, Walt thought. For whatever reason, the many days he spent apart from the path of his father's heroic legacy were at the forefront of his mind, and the vivid images of his own face were followed by that of Lydia Danvers, which were in turn followed by memories of men he had never known, but had hurt, terrorized, sometimes with what was devastatingly akin to glee. He shuddered as he nearly lost control of himself.
What am I?
"You're a West," Wally spoke aloud, making Walt recoil slightly with surprise. His father went on without looking at his son.
"I'm going to Keystone first. From the looks of it, there are more people to save there anyway. " His voice cracked with emotion as he spoke the bitter fact aloud, and he looked old. He looked at his son, and before Walt knew it he was being squeezed more tightly than he had ever been.
"I'm trusting you." The words from his father came in a hushed breath. "This can't be New York." Walt's breath hitched against his father's chest, and then his father was gone. This time he thought of his mother and Kyle Rayner.
For a second, Walt stood staring at the wall. Then he grabbed his coat from the rack beside the door and ran out at a very average human pace. As he sprinted towards the center of the chaos, he reached into his pocket for the Titans communicator he had started using for the first time in months since losing his powers and clicked to one of the few frequencies he had memorized.
"Marty," he spoke sharply. "Where are you?"

Marty was driving over to Walt's house with a couple of pizzas. Since they'd both lost their powers, Marty had taking to hanging out with him. It was good for them both to bond, especially since Lydia was the only member of their dynamic trio with powers left. He'd been living in a rented apartment in Central City while he worked at the Ferris' offices there. He spent his days working on the Stark-Ferris Space Plane Project and his nights hanging out with Walt and going on dates with Lydia.
The car made a groaning sound and the electronics flickered. Then the car went dead. Marty looked around as the street lights did the same thing. He managed to get the car to park against one of the curbs and pulled out his phone. The cell was dead. He got out of the car and looked around, seeing Central City in blackness.
Marty looked up seeing people flying through the air. He saw a girl, throwing lightning bolts fly by. There was a sigh of relief. He knew the girl. Mallory Mardon. Walt's girlfriend? Whatever she was. He baked a cake for her. Walt never baked. That alone was enough to make Marty wonder. By the Lantern's reckoning, Walt's house was about ten blocks or so away.
The dust was out of place. He saw some people coughing and knew that it wasn't good. He looked at his ring. The life support aura should protect him. It was supposed to. "Ring. Status of life support aura?"
"Error."
That wasn't good. The ring had been restricted as far as functions and now the few that were left were on the fritz. He needed to help the city. The people. Marty looked down at his ring and spoke into it. "This is Martin Jordan. Green Lantern, sector 2814.1. Requesting temporary, emergency reinstatement. I repeat: I am requesting that the Guardians of the Universe reinstate me. There is a crisis on my home world."
"Error."
Marty gave an angry sound and started running towards Walt's house. The Titan's communicator in his pocket went off. He pulled it out while he was running. It was Walt's voice on it. "I'm running towards your house. Your girlfriend is fighting with... something out here. I don't know what the hell is going on. There's some kind of dust here." Marty started coughing. He wiped little blood flecks off his hand on to his jeans. "We've got to get everyone here. The Titans, the Avengers, The League. Everyone and their mother."

Chari had accompanied her new boss and his Horsemen. She was here for a variety of reasons. One, she wanted to see how Pestilence's newly whipped up plague was going. Sure she'd run a few tests but she hadn't been given the time to properly test it. For all she knew a solid dose of Vitamin C and some aspirin would cure it. It seemed unlikely but she'd rather take the time to check on it. But so far from what she was seeing it was going well, and fast acting. She was curious about the whole 'truth serum' aspect of the virus, but that seemed fun, if it worked.
She was also here to observe the new Dark Riders in action. Most were just souped up and modified mutants who'd been recruited or kidnapped. She didn't care how they ended up on her tables, just what was expected of them. So far they seemed to be doing pretty well. They were making short work of the police and military. But she was also here because heroes would be, and that meant hero DNA to play with. Sure she was dangerous in her own right but she'd also brought her girls with just in case. She wasn't about to expose herself with no back up. Apocalypse's whole plan could go tits up right now. They could all be in Arkham, Blackgate and where ever else they were held by time the sun rose. She was not about to enter Arkham, well not yet.
"Stay close girls. I know you want to have fun."
She said stepping over the body of a dead cop. She herself was wearing her black boots, a mini skirt, black corset top, black lab coat and was carrying her whip in one hand and medical bag in the other. She was heading for the Flash Museum. She knew she could find some DNA there, or at the very least she could find something useful. Tech was never her style but it could pull others out of hiding which meant she could make it work. She pulled her coat around her as the wind and rain picked up and sighed. Her 8 year old girls forming a wedge behind her.
"Kill anyone mommy doesn't know."
She said before nodding to the front door. One stepped forward and let out a sonic scream, shattering the door.
"Good girl."
She said before stepping through what was left of the door.

SHIELD had been scrambled along with reports he didn't fully understand. Something about the Dark Commandos and Suicide Squad. He had heard rumors of the Suicide Squad but thought it was mostly myth, at least currently. Then again his current classification level wasn't that amazing. So it was likely he just didn't meet the required level. Especially since if there was something like the Suicide Squad it would be well above him. All he knew was that he'd been ordered with a SHIELD deploy to secure the bridge and the river that ran between the cities.
He was deployed as Agent 26 with a newly made shield on his back. His old one had been destroyed by Bat-Woman. Sure it wasn't as fancy as his dad's or James' one. But it got the job done. He kept it strapped to his back as his squad made their way to the bridge. He could see all of the Dark Riders converging on the bridge and river side.
"Spread out. We need to secure the area. I want snipers in those two towers over looking the bridge. The rest of you on me. Watch the skies since we have two known flying enemies along with minor ones most likely. We need to assume all are hostile and be prepared to take anyone out."
He said as they adrew closer to the bridge. He crouched down behind a car and grabbed his rifle, resting it on the back of a car. The armored figure known as War came into view. He watched as they were heading towards a group of soldiers firing. He knew the soldiers didn't stand a chance and sighed.
"Get ready, it's about to hit the fan."
He said before firing a round into the center of the back of her head. He didn't fully expect it to work but he needed to save them. They were weekend warriors and he was an actual SHIELD agent. Sure he likely wouldn't do much against War, but he'd probably have a better shot than them. Once the first bullet connected he stepped out from behind the car.
"Take cover. This creature isn't leaving this road. I don't care if we have to drown them in our blood, they won't take any more lives!"
He continued to fire, ensuring he'd get their attention.

He'd been awoken right after sundown by his special communicator. It was just an odd amulet he never fully understood, which given him being a magical being is even more confusing. He'd spent months trying to understand it but to no avail. Try as he might he simply couldn't figure out how it worked. Either way he knew it was serious if he got summoned right at sundown. He woke up Admiral Fluffy Paws and quickly changed into his Brother Blood suit. He grabbed both swords and took the portal provided. But there was no strange helicopter flight, just appearing out of a new portal in Central City. He saw words floating above him in fire in ancient Latin, 'Do good, be a hero'. he looked around at the destruction and that was all he needed to see. Buildings were crumbling, people were screaming and running. Others were rambling and collapsing, covered in blood.
"Wh..."
'I once spent 30 years in Hell and this is unlike anything I've ever seen. So much evil and cruelty....'
"Well that's reassuring."
It was then he noticed Adam, following Apocalypse, the man who'd destroyed their Tower. He ran towards Adam, swords drawn. SOme tried to get in his way only to be hit or cut down.
"Adam!"
He jumped in front of him, placing both swords on his back.
"What's going on!? What are you doing with him? He's the enemy."
He said placing his hands on Adam's shoulders. Adam seemed odd, different. There was a noticeable power coming off him, definitely the kind of power that wasn't there a few months ago.

Luckily for Aaron, he was in Keystone when the attack began. He was shopping with Axel getting snacks and normal food after a heated food fight, that left the apartment looking like a pigs sty. Seeing as food was more of a priority than cleaning up. It seemed Doritos and chips were in high demand for Axel.
"You're going to get high aren't you?" Aaron asked as Axel put in the 5th bag of Cool Ranch.
"Me!? I am insulted! I'm no druggy!" Axel said with a mock face of pain and hurt. "But yeah. The shits great for my glaucoma" he said followed by a giggle.
Aaron just shook his head and laughed along as he went to get some Cheetos. Then a loud bang that was all too familiar was heard and all the lights when out. Aaron and Axel looked at each other and instantly noticed that something was wrong. This wouldn't be your normal blackout. Normal blackouts just happened, not with two bangs loudly heard and the commotion going outside.
"That isn't good... I got 50 bucks that it's the Grodd and his monkey boys back for revenge." Axel said as they both headed for the door to see what the commotion was all about.
It wasn't pretty when they looked outside. Sure Central got hit the hardest, but Keystone was in absolute pandemonium. people were frantically trying to start their cars to no avail, people were screaming and yelling in fear and fright trying to get away from the city or get home to pack away. As what Aaron could only describe as roving death squads were moving along the streets. Aaron and Axel would've fled home and done the same, picked up every rogue they could along the way and be out of this city before Central City fully fell, but then Aaron saw the lighting bolt which could only have on origin. Mal. Aaron and Axel just looked at each other in understanding and without another word, Aaron flew up into the sky towards home.
Stuff like this didn't take long to prepare for, he busted into his room, filled his duffle bag with all that he could. Mines. Grenades. Ice bombs. Fire bombs. All the works had collected. Even having his trusted Batsy at the ready. He flew out again. The plan was due to the bridge being a landmark it was the easiest place to find him and would make a hell of a lot of noise when doing there. He made his way through the wind and the rain conjured up by Mal for whatever reason, flying towards the bridge.
It didn't take long to arrive, and it seemed some of the people attacking the city already were there, and wrecking cars and making it impossible to take the bridge to escape Central. Right now they seemed to be playing with the people in the cars trapped. Threatening to push them over and even ripping out the doors. The worst part was that they seemed to enjoy that they were about to kill. And that angered Aaron to a new level. If anybody messed with the individuals in this city, it was going to be him, and if anybody threatened this city in such manner they would have to not only answer to the heroes in this city, but to the rogues as well.
Aaron beelined down to one of the dark riders near the edge, smacking him hard to knock him over the edge down plummeting into the Missouri river below. He swung his bat around in his hands and looked at the other two dark riders.
"Alright, 1 down 1000 or so more to go." he said with a smile on his face and throwing up an ice bomb.
"Batter up!" he said hitting the ice bomb with Batsy sending the bomb flying towards the two Dark Riders who looked frankly confused at what Aaron was doing. Their doubts and look of confusion were forever immortalised as the ice bomb exploded freezing them on the bridge. Aaron laughed as he looked at their faces. He looked at the people's face around him, the ones being harassed.
"Well? What are you waiting for?" He said as he threw a grenade at the blockage of cars on the bridge which either flew to the side or tumbled revealing a path the people could get through. "Get the fuck out of here before more come!" It didn't take much for people to leave their cars to actually run through the hole while Aaron waited patiently, either for help for the next attack.
Either way, tonight was going to be fun.

It didn't take long for the emergency calls to go out. Once the Dark Riders made their appearance SHIELD had been called in along with all of the other teams. Avengers, Justice League, Teen Titans, anyone who would respond. SHIELD was even calling in their 'secret' teams, the Suicide Squad and Dark Commandos were coming in to help. This was serious, this was as close as they'd come to Hell on Earth since the Battle, and T'Shan didn't like that. He'd barely even waited for the explanation before grabbing his axes and taking off. It didn't take him long to get there and he easily jumped over the thorn walls. As he flew through the air he drove his fist into one flying Dark Rider trying to intercept him. T'Shan made short work of him, driving his elbow into the Rider's face and sending them crashing into what remained of a car.
"A valiant attempt little Dark Rider, but I shall not be taken out by you."
He said landing calmly in someone's backyard. He brushed some of the dirt off his pants before drawing his axes and heading out to the street. As he did he began looking for Apocalypse. No one messed with Midgard while he was around. It didn't take long for him to find Apocalypse, like any decent general he made his presence known, shouting orders as people went out from him causing mayhem. T'Shan needed to stop this once and for all.
'I don't think this will work. Might I suggest a distraction and lure him away from his troops?'
"Not a terrible option Skugga."
He threw one ax at Apocalypse before jumping onto the roof of a building that was still standing. If the stories on Apocalypse were true the ax would likely do nothing. Sure it'd be nice if it buried itself in the back of Apocalypse's head and all this was done. But he also knew that was highly unlikely. A bunch of Dark Riders began to swarm on the building, heading for him. He placed the other ax on his back and readied himself. He began swinging and kicking any the got near. There was a loud clap of thunder as a lightning bolt came out of the sky and into him. He then guided the lightning through him in all directions, frying anyone coming near him. Of course the whole time this had been going on he'd taken his eye off Apocalypse, a dangerous mistake.

i can show you magic, madness, heaven, sin Mari was being a bit of a straggler at the moment, watching as hordes of students she recognized were thoughtlessly doing the bidding of Apocalypse and his apparent Horsemen. It was weird, to say the least. All this time spent with people who were trying to learn to use their powers, hoping to become so-called heroes so easily twisted and torn apart on the inside to become ignorant soldiers. Something felt almost wrong about it. Yet watching them fight, tear innocents apart, she couldn't help but find amazement in all of it. As one of the students disposed of an officer that had attempt to fire on her, she felt blood splatter on her face. A lick of her lips, and she could taste the sweet copper on her tongue, causing her to smirk. "Finally..." She almost began to giggle the word, letting her claws slowly come out of her fingertips. How long had she waited to be able to do this so openly? So freely? She didn't like this Apocalypse, didn't trust him for a second, but he was a great scapegoat and, as much as she hated to admit it, so long as Adam was at his side, she was weirdly okay with being a loyal puppy. Not entirely so, but enough to not turn her back on him. This freedom, though? It was enough to make her at least happy to be along. Another of the officers managed to down the student. How unfortunate for the soul, but there was plenty more. Faking a yawn, the lupine gently patted her hand on her mouth as she turned her attention fully towards them. A bullet tore through her shoulder when they shot out her, causing her to pull her hand back and touch the wound before it started to close. Blood colored her finger, examining it for a second. "Is that the best you've got? My turn!" There was an excited trill to her voice as she quickly leaped forward, claws slashing from one officer to another, easily gouging through their chest. Not something that would kill them but something that would certainly hurt them. Next, she slashed at the hands holding the guns as they tried to shoot her again. All she could think of was how nice it would feel to tear the hand right off but that would be cold. At least they dropped the weapons though. "See? You coulda been like me! This would have gone so much better for you if you were," she taunted before finally slashing across their throats. Blood splattered onto her as her claws came back in and she licked her lips again. Mari was about to make another smart little remark when she noticed Adam. She should have been keeping a closer eye on him, being his. What did they call her? General? Weird... But she had wanted some fun like the other apparent soldiers. Still, now getting a glimpse of him, and the way some green bitch was acting, she couldn't help but glower for a second. It didn't matter if it was a vine or not, he was touching her Tora. She had to clench her jaw to make sure she didn't shout anything, waiting a second for her to be out of the way before quickly running at him and jumping onto his back, wrapping her arms happily around his shoulders and her legs around his waist to make sure she didn't fall off. A soft kiss touched his cheeks as she asked, "What was that about?" She had hardly noticed the other boy who had come up to him. Whoops, perhaps she should have been paying more attention. "Well well, looks like we've got you a target!" She dropped her voice low to whisper in his ear. "It's time to show these fools why you're their leader."darlin' i'm a nightmare dressed like a daydream ✿
