"Sloggin' across the planet with my MA5B, a motivated Devil Dog, a tenacious Marine!" - UNSCMC Cadence
The Marines - First to fight for humanity's continued existence.
In 2525, Harvest fell. Humanity learned that it was not alone in the wide expanse of the cosmos. First contact with aliens was far from peaceful and humanity was thruster into a war for its survival as a species.
It's been seventeen long, arduous years since then. The Covenant, a hegemony of different alien races united under shared fanatical religious beliefs, have executed a genocidal campaign against the human race that has left many worlds in shambles. Battle after battle, colony after colony, the fight against the Covenant grows more perilous. Were it not for the brave men and women of the United Nations Space Command and their tireless efforts to keep the enemy at bay, humanity would have already been doomed.
"When I die please bury me deep, place an MA5 down by my feet! Don't cry for me, don't shed no tear; Just pack my box with PT gear! 'Cuz one early morning 'bout zero five, the ground will rumble, there'll be lightning in the sky! Don't you worry, don't come undone, it's just my ghost on a PT run!"
The rough and tough Marines are the only thing standing in the way of the Covenant's genocidal campaign to exterminate the human race. Men and women from all over human colonized space have sworn the oath to defend humanity against all its enemies no matter the cost. They're humanity's first and last line of defense, and they're always ready to fight no matter the locale -- from space, air, land or sea.
Some Marines are volunteers who signed up to vanquish the alien threat. Others are draftees that were conscripted to meet the personnel demands of the military as it finds itself facing staggering losses from each and every one of its battles against the alien onslaught. Despite their origins, all Marines have one thing in common with each other.
They're all trained to fight and die for the cause of humanity, and for the man or woman beside them.

Halo: Oscar Company RPG is set in the expansive Halo Universe in the year 2542, approximately ten years before the events of Halo: Combat Evolved. It takes place in the interim years of the Human-Covenant War, often thought to be the bloodiest of the entire intergalactic conflict that nearly claimed the entirety of humanity and their colonies. It is centered around a unit of Marines, comprised of battle-hardened veterans and untested greenhorns, and their struggles during this trying period of the war.
The story revolves around the characters that make up this almost ragtap group of warriors and how they interact with the horrors of war that constantly surround them. The story is driven forward by the characters and their actions, and these characters are all created from the ground up by the players that portray them. The Oscar Company RPG favors realism over the typical over-the-top Hollywood-style action most would expect from other sites.
Our character creation process is relatively simple and straight forward. We do not ask for role-play samples in our character applications, only that player's create a believable and well-rounded character. While our RPG does take place in the Halo Universe, we strive to come up with original ideas and locations for our missions.
With only a word count minimum of a hundred fifty words, the Halo: Oscar Company RPG welcomes players of all role-play skill levels to register an account and create their own original character. We offer secondary roles for players who may not want to be constrained to playing the typical infantry Marines of Oscar Company with the inclusion of "Guest Characters." Guest characters are simply characters that fall outside of the chain-of-command of Company O, such as pilots, tankers, combat cameramen, etc.
