Maximus stood on top of the roof and watched as the armored truck rumbled down the busy street. Of course he himself had never been concerned about collateral damage. Hell if it was bad enough he'd donate some money to a relief fund, look like a hero and get a sweet tax break. That was exactly what he was a fan of, anything that made him look better and made people not look at him as the King of Hearts. The truck stopped in front of the bank and three men got out, carrying only one small case. Inside was a priceless gem. He wanted it. It was one of a kind and would be nearly impossible to get. As soon as they entered the bank Maximus waited a few seconds and flew at the front of the bank. The card flyer stopped and he hurled himself at the front of the bank with a large explosion. People were sprawled everywhere, some alive and some dead. The guards tried to call for back up as they looked for a threat. But the threat was something they were likely not ready for. That was proven as they stared in shock as out of the smoke and flames the King of Hearts emerged, sword in hand. He leaned down and seemed to casually light a cigar off the burning remnants of the door.
"Lay down your guns, hand over the gem and you'll keep your lives. I'm feeling generous today."
He said with a laugh. But the guards shakingly raised their guns, willing him to stop. He shot his free hand to the side and fired a magical energy blast, killing one guard instantly. Then, before the rest could respond he shot forward, slicing with both his sword and the claws on his free hand. When he was finished the guards lay around him in a bloody heap. One clutched his bleeding throat, still trying to call for help on his walkie talkie. But he quickly plunged his sword down, destroying the walkie talkie.
"I wouldn't count on help. You're on your own."
Maximus could stag him again but instead kicked the man's hand away, letting the blood flow faster. Soon enough he stopped moving. Maximus then turned his attention to the locked black box and smiled.
"There we are. Don't mind if I do..."

While Max was quick to dive down towards the door of the bank and make his theatrical and explosive entrance, Isabella found herself hovering a few yards above the bank on her card flyer. Currently wearing her Queen of Hearts costume, she was trying to get a good idea of where the closest precinct was and if back up was on its way at all. She doubted it. And even if back up decided to show up, she had a good enough view that she could easily stop them. A few big roots here and there, branches joining and intertwining to make barriers, she could stop anything she put her mind to, really. Or at least she liked to think she could. Of course, that wasn't always set in stone, she figured. But who was really going to try and stop her? Try and stop Max? She snorted just thinking about it.
After another moment's observation, she decided there was no threat, no danger. Now it was time to play. She could hear the commotion going on just yards below her and she dove down on her card flyer towards the ground as fast as she could before pulling up right at the last moment. She was just inches above the ground now, peering in through the hole where the door had once been. A smirk was hidden under the full faced mask. "Well, well, well, seems like you've handled this fine all by yourself," she said with a chuckle.
Stepping off of the card flyer, she left it outside and strode into the bank, leaning lazily against what was left of the frame. "Anyone else want to try and stop him? I'm always looking forward to a good show,"" she cooed, her head turning from one side to another, looking at all of the little miscreants that were scattered and cowering within the bank. Bodies were already strewn on the floor and the sickly scent of iron tanged blood was already floating around. Her eyes turned towards a small plant that was resting in a pot on one of the teller's counters and she grinned. She didn't need to approach it to understand it, to influence. A small vine started growing out of the pot and crept over towards black box, curling around it the second it got near it. With little effort, she made the vine lift the box from the ground so it would be at chest level with The King. "I believe this belongs to you, Your Majesty."

He laughed lightly as he heard his Queen enter the bank. He glanced over his shoulder but was well aware of what was going on around him. There were no potential threats at this moment. But then again no one really was a threat to him, especially if his gang was full. But even with just Queen here he knew he'd be unstoppable. Plus she was nice to look at which he definitely enjoyed. Of course he didn't pick her solely for looks, of course they did play a very key part in her hiring.
"Well the name King has to be regularly protected. Otherwise someone gets uppity, then their blood gets everywhere and you know I hate scrubbing blood out from under my nails."
He said with a laugh, his voice modulator doing the proper job of hiding it. He constantly upgraded it, making sure it couldn't be cleaned up or figured out. So far it's working, he hasn't been caught yet. But at least he couldn't be linked to the King of Hearts, that's what mattered. As the box was raised up to his chest he took a hold of it and examined it. He opened the box and examined the gem.
"Beautiful. But of course its beauty is dwarfed by that of you, my Queen."
He said before taking her hand and kissing it. He loved playing the royalty aspect. He was about to really go for it when a shotgun blast sent him crashing backwards. His suit would easily stop the damage from the shotgun, but the kinetic energy would still sit inside him. He could harness it, but also hold it if need be. He lay there among the debris and bodies and sighed.
"Queen, be a dear and feed him his intestines would you?"
He asked sitting up and adjusting his crown.

John could be seen flying through the air wearing his Superman T-shirt and a pair of blue jeans going on his daily patrol. As he flew, he heard gun fire coming from the other side of town and stopped in his tracks as he used his telescopic vision to see what was happening and saw the two head members of the Royal Flush gang. He noticed that dead security guards were around them and that people were binned down to the floor by vines. The king himself was on the ground with some of the dead bodies and he could hear him ask the Queen to feed the guy that shot him with his own intestines. He would then fly down towards the bank at lightning fast speeds and appeared in front of the man with the shot gun."Your going to have to go through me if you want him" said John in a stern commanding voice. He would then turn use his x-ray vision to peak under the mask of the king of hearts and what he saw took him by surprise.
"Max Regem? What's a wealthy guy like you robbing a bank?" asked John with a puzzled expression on his face. After all, Max Regem was a well know and wealthy public entity and the creator of Friendlink.com. Hell even the alien hybrid himself had a profile on that site and was considering even making a profile for Superman as soon as he found a way to make his IP address untraceable. After all, he didn't want a tech savvy villain figuring out who he was and wear he lived through his IP address. Then again, his wealth would explain how the Royal Flush gain got its hands on advanced technology thought John as he waited for an answer.

(OOC: For the sake of progression we'll skip Harls till her stuff is figured out)
"Wait my dear...."
He said holding a hand up to stop Izzy from what she might have been doing. The new arrival of Superman was definitely very interesting. He'd rather deal with him instead. Of course if Ace failed him then he'd have an opening and who better than Superman? Of course with Superman here he'd rather have Ace to back him up but that was fine, he'd manage. He always wondered what would happen if Superman punched him. With enough strength he'd likely level Metropolis. A little extreme but could be fun as well. He twirled the sword before resheathing it. He crossed his arms and slowly approached Superman, casually. His intent was to not pose a threat to Superman, primarily because he likely didn't. To his knowledge no one had gotten close enough to the original with Adamantium to see if it worked. Perhaps Maximus could be the first. He stopped, examining the drying blood under his nails. He began to pick at it and smirked lightly as he was identified.
"Max Regem? You mean that devastatingly handsome CEO and founder of....what's the insipid social media site? Link my friends or some such nonsense?"
He asked with a laugh.
"Of course I kid. Who doesn't know FriendLink.com? The site is worth a fortune and everyone and their mother, literally, is on it. As for claiming that I am said founder, well, that's quite the accusation...."
He said shaking his head. He picked up the smoking cigar that had been knocked from his mouth when he was shot and took a drag. He puffed it a few times to get it going before turning his attention back to Superman.
"We can discuss what my identity is or isn't later. I mean magical illusions aren't that complicated in the grand schemes. Of course you could just go and tell everyone who you think I am. Of course who would believe you? I mean sure if your predecessor had done it Max would have numerous agencies knocking on his door in minutes. You however, well, most people aren't sure exactly what to think of you. Of course those are some massive red boots to fill. Can't say I have that problem. My predecessors were morons for the most part."
He said with a shrug before taking another drag of his cigar and puffing out a quick smoke ring. He resumed his walking, almost pacing back and forth in front of Superman. It was almost animalistic in nature. The way a powerful predator moves when cornered. He was observing everything, waiting for the chance to pounce. As he walked he dragged his hand along a pillar, gouging deep lines in the marble with his nails.
"So Superman, is this the point where we fight? Because I've always wondered what you'd look like bleeding."
He asked with a smirk, feeling the energy from the shotgun currently moving through his system, waiting to be utilized.
