It was 8am in Metropolis and the young John Kent could be seen sitting at a table in a Starbucks typing away on his computer as he took a sip from his coffee. The kryptonian hybrid was sitting near the window and there was an empty chair on the other side of the table he was sitting at. Aside for his table, all of the other tables in the building were full with some of the customers typing away on their computers like John. This of course was very stereotypical of writers since they are usually portrayed typing up their work which was a stereotype John really didn't mind. While he did fit the stereotype, there were several benifits when one types at a coffee house like the free WIFI, the good view the window has and the aroma of coffee if you're the kind of person who likes those kind of things.
The young man was typing an article on how public opinion on mutants is at an all time high and some people consider both mutants and humans as being one race. But just because public opinion on mutants is at an all time high doesn't mean that there were still hatred on both sides which was something that John made sure to mention in his article as he felt it was something that still needed to be over come like racism. When John was done with the article, he quickily read over it before submitting it on his blog at the Daily Planet's official website. When the article was submitted, the alien hybrid smiled as he was glad that his paper was finally over. He would then proceed going onto the website for Dragon Age Keep since he planned on buying the third installment to the Dragon Age series, Dragon Age Inquisition. Through the website, John could make the decisions made in past games and import it into the game to affect the world of the story. The twenty two year old had finished making his decisions for the first game last night and was currently making his decisions for the second game with his first decision being that the main character is a human mage.

After suffering through a thoroughly frustrating night, Alexis deserved nothing more than over-priced iced coffee and something sweet to ease the ache in her empty stomach. She had been running on three days lack of sleep and even longer without food. Most humans in her position would be long dead, thankfully Alexis was far more Amazonian than she was human in most cases. Still, she liked to indulge from time to time and today was such a time.
Alexis walked down the streets of Metropolis with squinted eyes against the morning sunshine and a definite ‘Do Not Talk To Me’ vibe. She had just gotten out of an arms deal meeting with a bunch of low life dealers and finally had some time to herself in what seemed like months. Who knew getting the latest SHIELD grade guns could be so difficult?
Glancing at the time displayed on a digital billboard, Alexis groaned internally when the numbers flashed just past eight in the morning. Yup, coffee sounded just about perfect right now. Picking up the pace, Alexis dove into the first Starbucks she came across and made a beeline for the lineup to order. She finally started to feel slightly more alive when she had a coffee cup in one hand and a pastry in the other. Turning on her heel and observing the shop she spotted the only open seat across from a man concentrated on a laptop in front of him. Frowning thinly, Alexis’ need to sit and actually relax outweighed her asocial tendency. Her heels clicked quietly in the loud shop as she walked cautiously up to the man and gave him a polite smile. “Is this seat taken? Everywhere else is full.” Alexis said, feeling the need to state the obvious in her defense.

As John was thinking about what kind of personality he should give Hawke, he heard a voice ask if the seat was taken. The kryptonian hybrid turned towards the direction of the voice and saw a woman that appeared to be a few years older than him with a coffee and a pastry in her hands. With her natural beauty being enhanced by the gods, John took notice of her great beauty and considered her one of the most attractive women he has ever seen. But there was one thing that was very obvious to him and that was the fact that the woman standing before him was the infamous Wonder Woman, a villain that John had expected to cross paths with eventually considering how he was now a super hero now. But he didn't expect to see her while in his civilian identity. He also couldn't believe that nobody else aside from him was able to recognize her. Okay John. Play it cool, there is always the possibility that she doesn't see through you disguise thought John with all of his mental processes taking place at super speeds in his mind.
"It's not taken, so feel free to sit there" said John with a friendly smile on his face as he gestured his hand over to the chair. He would then go back onto his computer and clicked on the Diplomatic/Helpful personality before going to the companions section and picking Isabella as Hawke's love interest.

Alexis was only half paid attention to the man on the other side of the table as she scanned the store for any familiar, or undoubtedly unwanted faces. That didn't mean she caught the man's momentary expression of alarm when he caught sight of her face. Her head snapped back in his direction and narrowed her eyes suspiciously at him. What could she have possibly done to cause such an emotion on him? Okay, that was admittedly stupid question. The amount of lives Alexis had ruined or negatively effect in the past seven years was undoubtedly high. At least in the thousands, if her mental calculations were correct.
She returned the man's smile with a tight lipped smile of her own before setting her coffee and pastery on the table between the two of them. "Thank you." Alexis said politely. She sat down in the chair heavily and had to make an effort not to groan in relief at finally catching a break after such a long week. The contacts she was wearing to disguise her eyes to look more brown than red were beginning to itch and make her eyes water but Alexis easily ignored the sensation for now. At that moment in time, coffee was more important than her physical discomfort. She didn't even flinch when the scolding liquid hit her tongue and praised her Amazonian resistance to extreme heat as she gulped down her coffee in one go. Alexis set the now empty cup back down on the table and returned her eyes back to the man across the table. "Is it always this busy at this time in the morning?" She wondered out loud, barely containing her contemptuous glare at the gathered people in the shop. Herd of sheep that they were, they were certainly much more irritating than usual when hyped up on coffee.

"No problem" said John after the super villain thanked him. As she sat down, he couldn't help but notice that her eyes were beginning which made the kryptonian hybrid wonder if she was using contact lenses instead of some kind of magical illusion. So using his x-ray vision, John was able to see though her contacts and saw the red eyes that would have made Alexis stand out considering how it was an unnatural eye color. John too had an unnatural shade of blue as an eye color, but his glasses diffuse the blue in his eyes to a natural shade of blue. "Problem with your contacts or something?" asked John after he watched her gulp down the cup in one go which he would have found impressive if it wasn't for the fact that he knew that she was almost invulnerable. He would then continued to lay out what he has done with the other members of the party of Dragon Age II and as he did, Alexis wonder out loud if it was always this busy this time of the day.
"It's always this busy in the morning. You have to consider the fact that people are coming here for their morning coffee before heading to work and then you have writers like me who stay in their seats for a couple of hours as they get their work done on the computer" explained John thinking that the question was directed at him.
