Post by Virginia "Ginnie" Stark on Feb 17, 2015 15:07:36 GMT -6
Ginnie stared out the window of her office. While she was supposed to be writing up her proposal for a joint venture with Queen Consolidated, she found her thoughts were drifting off elsewhere. She didn't quite feel like she was really here today, didn't quite feel like herself. Which was odd because she always felt like herself. She knew why it was though. She had spent so many of the past few days awake, wide awake working on this proposal and yet it wasn't done yet. It should be done but it wasn't. It wasn't yet perfect. It needed to be focus but she couldn't focus on making it such perfection.
"Might i suggest something, Miss Stark?" came a voice in her ear. It made her jump. She hadn't been expecting it, not by a long shot. Then again, she rarely did when she was lost in her thoughts.
"What is it, JARVIS?" she asked, her fingers finding their way back to.her keyboard as she typed away. Deleting and rewriting passages of her proposal.
"Perhaps getting a bit of sleep might help."
"I don't need any sleep. I'm doing perfectly fine."
"When exactly was the last time you got even a modicum of sleep, Miss?"
"I said I'm fine. I just need to get this done. I will get this done. This is important for the company and i will not let it fall through. It's due in a few more days," she huffed. Her fingers had finally gotten back into the motions, typing away, bit by bit. The proposal shouldn't take that much longer. Unless everything she wrote was utter crap. And as she paused to read over a passage she just wrote, she found that it was turning out that way.
"Yes, and you were saying what now, miss?" she could almost hear it laugh. If it could, she was sure it would.
"I do not need sleep," she muttered. She yawned, though. Her body was trying to tell her otherwise but she refused to listen to it. She would be just fine.
"Then perhaps a break? Go get something to eat, possibly a coffee. You're going to need it if you don't want to sleep."
Now there was an idea. A small break wouldn't hurt, she supposed. And JARVIS usually made a good point. Sighing, she deleted the garbage she had written and saved the document before shutting the computer off. "I suppose you're right. And what is a little break going to hurt?" she asked herself, getting up to slide her coat on. As she moved to grab her 'suit'case, she heard the voice speak up again.
"Perhaps you should leave that behind."
"Perhaps you should mind your own business just this once." she made a motion as if about to grab the case but, ultimately, she listened to JARVIS. What was she really going to need it for anyway?
It didn't take long before she got out of the building and started heading towards a little cafe she frequented when she needed a goof cup of coffee to refreshen herself. But as she was about to open the door, an explosion could be heard. She pursed her lips. "Why do.i ever listen to you?" she muttered to the AI before running off towards the sound. She might not have her suit but that didn't mean she couldn't help.

Olly was working on a case in NYC and was about to break it when the stuff hit the....spinning...thing, fan, yeah fan. The person in question was wanted by SHIELD and tended to have fun with EMPs, or so he'd use as an excuse. Commandeering a police horse and riding off towards the disturbance. As he rode his white trench coat flew behind him, getting lost in some swirling snow. He began to trot beside Ginnie with a smirk. He held the reigns with one hand and his cutlass in the other.
"Well hello Miss Stark. Lovely day for a stroll isn't it? Care to join me in some bad guy smacking?"
He asked with a smirk. On this day his hair was long, but tied back in a pony tail. Those who didn't know him would think that he looked odd and out of place, given his dress pants, dress shirt, vest and tie. Of course those that knew him thought he looked odd just walking around. Then again he seemed to always look odd. Probably due to being dressed so formally despite being anything but. Olly was very familiar with Ginnie, maybe not as familiar as he might've tried to be, but still familiar. Being the liaison between SHIELD and Avengers he knew all of them, but especially the leader. He held his hand out with a polite smile, followed by a wink.
"I'll keep the flirting and innuendos to a minimum, until after the fight. Or at least I'll try to keep it to a minimum. Yeah I probably won't actually."
He said with a laugh. He knew he should be concerned dealing with an EMP emitting criminal. Namely since his arm was susceptible to EMPs. But he was looking forward to fighting with one arm. He was always up for a challenge. Maybe not so much like that mad man Scion, but still.

Ginnie was practically cursing at herself in her head. Always bring your suit. Always be prepared. These were her rules. These were rules she had always followed. And yet, instead she had listened to JARVIS. 'Leave it behind,' he said. Stupid computers.
The sound of hooves on pavement barely registered in her mind. She was going into this without armor, meaning she was much more vulnerable than she usually was. She really needed to work on a new suit type, one she could leave home and yet still call to herself. Then again, she was sure she could have JARVIS go into the mainframe to control one of her 'In-progress' suits to bring to her. Though they wouldn't be of any real help, not with the work that still needed done.
It wasn't until she heard her name that she started to actually focus. She slowed down her pace slightly so she could get a better look as to who it was. She would have to be stupid to not recognize him. And not just because she knew his sister. She did do some work with SHIELD from time to time, not to mention the hacked files she still had in her possession. It also helped that she had actually done a bit of work with him in the past. He was just one of those types that was inpossible to forget. "Would be much more lovely if people could just behave in this city for one day," she retorted. She kept her jaw clenched as a yawn threatened to escape. She wasn't tired, her brain simply needed oxygen, that was it.
"Wonderful, and how about while you aren't flirting, Olivier, you hand me that cutlass and give me a lift onto that horse of yours. Make travel easier for me. I wasn't exactly prepared for a fight." She held up her empty hands.
"Miss Stark, I am not sure that this is a good idea. You haven't slept in days. How are you to handle well in a fight?" JARVIS pointed out, practically buzzing in her ear. She ignored him though, felt she had to. Innocent lives were at stake, and she wasn't going in alone. So rather than listening, she held her hand out to Olly, hoping maybe he would give her the lift she was asking for.

He laughed lightly at her acting almost non-chalant despite the city apparently being under attack. Then again for heroes it was kind of the normal day to day sort of thing. While he himself wasn't a hero exactly, working with SHIELD did expose him to numerous threats the average person, heroes included, might not even know about. Which was fine with him, not to mention what he wanted. He liked being where the action was, it was sort of his type of life. It was mainly why he had agreed to join SHIELD, he'd see action and help people, all things he wanted to do.
"Sorry but no cutlass today Miss Stark. No one, not even Rayne, touches my Cutlass."
He said before taking her by the hand and speeding up, pulling her onto the horse behind him. Holding the reigns in his teeth he fished his dagger out of his boot and handed it back to her.
"This is the same dagger Saint Peter pulled on the Romans, trying to defend Jesus. Always comes in handy when I'm in a pinch."
He said before getting the horse to speed up. This certainly wasn't his first time on a a horse and he was certainly used to it. While not as good as some he was still extremely skilled. As they neared the intersection they could see a guy in what was clearly a home made trench coat covered in wires. However it was emitting EMPs meaning there was no power nearby. The electricity seemed to also be making a shield, something that SWAT was finding out.
"We need to distract him and somehow get close enough to shut down whatever that is he's wearing. You're the tech genius, what do you suggest Miss Stark?"

Well, Ginnie had tried. Not that she necessarily cared much whether or not she got to use the cutlass. Her swordsmanship was limited at best, and that was only becaue she needed it for her suit's energy blade. No, all she really cared for was hitching a ride. It was an almost fluid motion, his taking her hand and her getting onto the back of the horse.
One of her arms hooked around his waist as an anchor, wanting to make sure she didn't fall off. She had ridden on a horse or two in her time, mainly as a child, though, when her parents had been trying to get her a hobby. "A man defensive of his sword. Can't say that's a first," she muttered, almost as a joke. It wasn't a good joke by any means but it was a joke she thought had been at least funny.
As he handed her a dagger, she took it and examined it. Well, it was better than nothing. She listened to what he said the weapon was and, honestly, if it wasn't for the fact that she knew Olly in any way, she would probably think he was full of bull. "You have the oddest of weapons, Olivier," she said to him as she rested the dagger in her lap. In her ear, the sound of JARVIS's voice slowly turned to static the closer to the situation they got. Well damn, that wasn't good. On the plus side, she wasn't going to have to listen to him nag her about the dangers of this little venture.
As they got ever closer to the intersection, she noticed the man there. Already, ideas were flooding her head. While they weren't necessarily the best ideas, considering her highly uncaffeinated stated, they were a start. "Correction, Olivier, I'm simply a genius," she said under her breathe. She wasn't meaning for him to hear her, though. She tapped her knee lightly with the flat side of the dagger. It could actually be of more use than she had originally though. "One of us would need to get close enough to either sever the wires or overload his coat with his own electrical energy current. First thing should be first, SWAT needs to be warn not to shoot. Unlesa you know something i don't, that jacket could hold a lot of potential." she paused. "Almost looks like he was trying to make a rip off of my suit. A terrible one at that. But, as for distractions. You're much better at causing a scene. You get me close enough, i can take care him. Though i might need your arm."

As she made the comment about his weapons he gave a light laugh. She didn't even know the half of it. Of course you could argue that he himself didn't entirely know what he had since his stories changed.
"You have no idea Miss Stark. I also have the weapons used by m.....used by Jack the Ripper."
He said as they rode to the intersection. That was a close one. He was still a major wanted criminal, even if some had theories about who he was. Hell they weren't even close. When they stopped he listened to her plan and nodded his head.
"Small problem, my arm is susceptible to EMPs. Sure it self repairs over time however he seems to be constantly emitting them. But I can definitely do a distraction. Remind me to tell you the story of how I distracted Custer."
He said with a laugh before hopping off the horse. He had his cutlass in one hand, keeping his bionic arm empty. He slowly strolled over towards the man who was babbling on about numerous threats and demands. Olly shrugged and showed his badge to SWAT command who got the people to stop firing.
"Alright Captain angry pants. What's this about? Aliens, government listening devices? Been awhile since I dealt with a crazy crack pot."
He mentioned, laughing lightly. He could tell he was just on the cusp of the guy's radius. His arm was handling the man's crude EMP emitter better than he imagined. But he knew it was not going to last forever. His arm hung by his side, making it mostly useless and heavier than he remembered. With a sigh he kicked a rock towards the man, watching it bounce off.
"Interesting. I'm curious as to how all of this works. Maybe it has something to do with harnessing ambient static electricity. Then again that's not my real skills."

Used by Jack the Ripper? She looked down at the dagger with a bit more interest now. That was a story she would want to hear. How in the world did he manage to get a serial killer's weapon? And how did he even know that it had belonged to him. She doubted it was engraved with the words 'If found, return to Jack the Ripper'. Although that would have been highly entertaining. She actually looked to see if there was any such engraving but it was of no luck. Perhaps it wasn't this dagger that was used. She would love to see the one that was. If examined with the proper equipment, she might be able to solve a mystery countless others had failed to! How marvelous!
Her attention was taken away from the weapon, however, as Olly began to speak once more. "I never said i would need it in working condition. I might be able to cybernetically hardwire it from a distance to make it draw in the ambient energy surrounding that man. Drawing some of it in might allow you to fire one energy shot. Just one, though. Hopefully it would be enough to overload his systems. However, that is just one plan. A back up.one at that. If i can cut the right wires and simply disable the coat, then we should be right as rain. Can't make any promises though." She would have to figure out the proper distance that she could use the quasi-computer on her wrist. It was similar to the apple watch almost. A much newer version of it that worked better for Ginnie but that was beside the point. She just needed JARVIS to work, to help her hack the arm and hope it works. That was all math she could do as she tried her first method of disabling the man.
Ginnie made a mental note about 'Custer', if only because he made her curious, before watching him get off the horse and move towards the man. As he did that, she moved forward and took the reins in her own hands to move away. It would be faster for her to get up around the man. She had to take a couple of different roads to do so but it gave her an opportunity to figure out the EMPs strength and affected distance.
"JARVIS, be a dear. Keep talking so i can figure this out. And while you're at it, start working out just how to hack into that arm of Olivier's. I'm not entirely sure it will work but it would be quite useful. Actually, why don't you use the signal from Stark Tower, see of you can't disable the suit itself. Not sure that will work either but at least it's yet another possibility attempted."
"As you wish, Miss Stark. But do be careful. If you are going to be reckless, at least be smart about it."
"As if I'm ever not smart in anything i do," she snorted. The computer kept spouting on in her ear and she kept moving with the horse, slowly coming back to the intersection. As the words in her ear turned to static and then nothing, she slowed the horse more until she stopped it. This was the cut off distance. She would need it as a marker for herself.
Sliding off the horse, Ginnie held tightly to the hilt of the dagger and started to make her way up behind the man. She had to take the bud out of her ear as static started filling it again. For a poor man's attempt at the Iro. Maiden suit, it was at least effective for what she assumed it was meant to do. She could hear Olly talking on the other side. He was in her line of sight and everything. SWAT hadn't bothered stopping her. Having a public identity was definitely useful in situations like this. 'Being a loud mouth seems to have it's benefits as well,' she thought about Olly as she got ever closer to the man. She was being careful, needed to be to make sure she disabled this correctly. So many wires, it was a wonder this man hadn't electricuted himself yet.
((Ooc: Bleh, not too proud of this one but hope it's okay))

"So you're going to hack my arm and take control of it? Not sure how I feel about that.."
He knew it was their only real option to take him out since she didn't have her suit. Why she didn't was a matter he'd bring up assuming they survived this. Of course he always assumed he'd survive. He never went into anything figuring he'd never walk out. Giving up was simply not his style. He just didn't do it, that was something that had been bred in him from a very young age. Madroxes don't give up, even when they should, they don't. So he focused on talking the man down.
'It's quite simple you imbecile. I'm sick and tired of the government doing whatever they want. Always going through my mail, listening in on private conversations, putting dirty sites in my browser history!'
"That's what you're pissed about? Seriously. I say just admit you went to the sites, take the yelling and move on with your life. But sure, let's do this whole thing. Alright, this'll be fun."
'I'll destroy anyone who stops me!'
"How?"
'Well my EMPs form a barrier. No technology can stop me and no one can touch me.'
"Yeah but does the barrier work both ways? I mean it looks like it would."
The man raised a gun and fired. It hit Olly in the arm and he looked down with a sigh. Yeah it hurt but he was trying to show how it didn't.
"Super fancy coat and you use a Beretta? What did you waste your time on because the coat looks like you cobbled it together five minutes ago. Not to mention you could've just said the barrier would let you shoot out. I would've taken your word for it. Seriously, no trust anymore."
'Well you're one of them!'
"Them who?"
'Illuminati!'
"Aw Christ, this crap again. The Illuminati haven't been around in years."
He knew that was likely untrue and also assumed they still existed. But they didn't seem to affect him negatively so he didn't really care that much about them.

Well, this was... very bad. Ginnie had underestimated the strength of the suit. She had honestly thought it would be essy to sneak up behind, but as she came nose to figurative nose with the actual barrier, well, it became relevant that she wouldn't be able to pass through. Which made her curse under her breathe. She probably should have known that before, though. Had she been at her full.mental capacities, the barrier's strength would have been obvious. Or she liked to tell herself as such, at the very least.
She took the dagger and just barely touched the barrier. She could already see the static bounce off of the metallic edge of the blade and it wasn't letting anything pass through it. 'Damn,' she thought, quickly backing away from it. She went right back to the horse, the last point in which she could hear her 'companion' chastise her decisions. He was still talking and it almost made her laugh, but this was no time for laughter.
"Alright JARVIS, plan b is in effect. Hiw is hacking into that arm going?" she asked.
"Not good, miss," he replied, which prompted another, much more vocal, "Double damn," from her.
Her eyes scanned her surroundings. She needed to find a computer and state. She really wasn't in the mood to use the 'watch' she wore on her wrist. She probably could if she really wanted to, being that it really wasn't much of a watch and more of what Apple had failed to make workable decades ago with their 'Apple Watch'. But the smaller screen would make it prove difficult for sure.
She was in luck, though, as she spotted a news van start to pull up. Without much other choice, she went over to it with a big smile and opened back of it just before the actual news people had the chance. "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. I need to borrow your equipment. Please and thank you," she cooed. She didn't wait for much of an answer, pushing herself through to the feed computers. She could hear half of the crew arguing behind her and while the other half just watched. She paid them no attention. "JARVIS, sync up with the feed and help me with this." Her fingers started to fly over the keyboard as she started putting in codes and trying to triangulate just where she needed to send the signal to link with Olly's arm. "And if you boys are going to help, send someone with a mic near my partner. He's the idiot talking to the loon. I might need to communicate with him, okay? Just don't get close enough that you might get hurt. We don't need New York's favorite news team in a hospital." She wasn't quite thinking as she spoke, were she, she probably wouldn't have just asked them to send a mic to Olly. But, in her current state, she didn't see much other choice as she worked on his arm.
It wasn't actually as hard to hack as she would have suspected. She might have to add some security to it for him herself. If she could get in this easy, who knew who else could? She, of course, was much smarter than most people though. She rerouted the signal going through it to try and make it start drawing in the static energy. The would have workes much better if she could take the arm apart and put it back together herself but she didn't have many options at the moment.

He wondered what was taking so long and knew he should likely be worried. However, he himself wasn't the kind of person to get worried. It was something that truly annoyed almost everyone that he worked with. He didn't plan or worry, he just did. Sure, were his sister involved that'd be a different matter. But this was primarily just him, no reason to worry, better to just go. Everytime he planned something always went wrong and ships ended up accidentally sinking. Good thing the world bought that BS iceberg story.
'But they exist! You admit it!'
"I assumed it was at least mostly common knowledge. Doesn't exactly mean that they're out to get you and whatever."
This seemed to phase him as he lifted his hand firing a blast of static electricity at him. This sent him flying into the windshield of an abandoned car. He glanced over and saw an intern holding a mic. With a roll of his eyes he grabbed the mic and shooed the kid away.
"I'm ok Miss Stark. This mixture of glass and metal broke my fall."
He said twitching slightly, some after effects from the blast. He stood up, leaning against the car.
"See, we were having a nice conversation and you had to be all rude. Seriously, what was that about?"
He asked, walking up to where he'd been before.
"How about you turn that barrier off and we settle this like men?"
'Or how about I electrocute you?'
He said, firing another blast. Olly continued running, dodging all the blasts, not yet firing his gun since the bullets will ricochet.
"I vote for that as Plan B, personally. Mainly because that sounds painful..."
He said jumping, sliding and rolling as he dodged the blasts.
"Hey Miss Stark, how about you actually do something!"
He said into the mic, running back and forth.

Ginnie's fingers continued to fly over the keyboard. Her mind was completely focussed on the computer, on hacking that arm. But the sounds of Olly's voice echoing around her did seem to be a bit of a distraction. "I figured you would be okay, Mister Madrox. That hard head of yours will no doubt help in breaking your falls," she said, almost sarcastically.
She was doing what she could but finally, she had the access she needed, rerouting how the armed work, even somewhat boosting it's efficiency. It wouldn't be permanent by any means, hell she wasn't even completely certain that it was going to work the way she was hoping. But it had to do something, yeah? Just had to. She was seriously going to have to just personally upgrade it later, if the man even allowed such a thing. Oh, that didn't matter.
"Let us remember, Oh Time Lord," she started bitterly, "That i can't do much without my suit. Now you listen to me and you listen well. Do all you can to lift that metal contraption you call an arm to the barrier and touch out. I've rerouted the system. It should be able to store enough for one good blast. Or you can always try catching the energy that poser senss at you. Could be fun." Her tone was surprisingly serious as she said that. Of course, on the inside, she felt terrible. She wished there was more she could do, wished she had brought her 'suit'case with her. This would have all went much more smoothly had she.

He laughed lightly at her comment. Sure he was in the middle of a battle against some guy who was insane, paranoid and wanted to fry him, but there was always time for humor. Plus it was funny, of course that could've been a few random jolts running through his system.
"Oh, it helps Miss Stark but it's not exactly a long term plan."
He said with a light smirk. He continued to run and dodge blasts, firing a few random shots at the feet of the man. It did its job and got him to move and miss a few shots. He heard her plan and nodded his head.
"You want me to run up and touch a man trying to electrocute me? Yeah why not."
He said taking cover behind an over turned car. He could hear the electricity surging through the car as the man continued to blast it, with no effect. Enough of the rubber was touching the road to ground it.
"Remind me to bring you to a universe where you can simply call it and whistle. Of course the fact that version of you is dating that version of me and can't tell us apart has nothing to do with the visit."
He said with a laugh. He sheathed his sword and kept his gun in his hand. With a nod of the head he twirled the gun.
"If you get me through this I'll show you anything you want Miss Stark. If I die...well I hope Rayne avenges me."
He said quickly jumping over the car. He ran straight for the man, rolling under an electric blast and used his actual arm to lift his bionic arm to the barrier. He knew the EMP could make it harder to control, something he truly hated.

Ginnie smirked ever so slightly at the sounds of his laughs. Okay, she wasn't as serious a hero as she liked to lead her team to believe. But then again, she did that for her team because, well, the Avengers needed a bit of serious, especially with the small band of misfits that they were comprised of. And a little laugh here or there was far different from obvious flirting in battle (like some of her teammates did). "Then dodge until you get that arm charged." Yes, thank you captain obvious for that solution.
Her eyes shot up to the lone monitor still watching the scene. What crazy fool was actually out there filming this, she couldn't help but wonder. She just hoped that nothing happened to them. She didn't need some camera man's death on her consciousness. That would just be tragic and she wasn't sure she could sincerely deal with something like that. She was happy, however, to see that the man was dodging almost every attack while taking what seemed to be minimal damage. She honestly couldn't be happier to know that. It meant she probably wouldn't have an angry time jumping sister to deal with then.
"Olly, if i didn't think this plan would work, we wouldn't be executing it." She didn't bother to mention the fact that this was likely her third or fourth day without a wink of sleep but she was fine! Just peachy! Even if she had a computer program nagging in her ear telling her that she was very wrong about this plan. She had a good feeling about it. It wad going to work. Had to work.
She couldn't help but roll her eyes and nearly groaned at those words. "I really do hope you mean to take me to this universe and that wasn't just some ridiculous way to ask me out," she grumbled. A soft yawn escaped her and she covered her mouth to make sure that it wasn't heard. She had to wipe a few fatigue induced 'tears' from her eyes as she watched the man move as much as the camera was allowing. She wondered a second if she could quickly hack that feed and make the camera move so she could- no, stop Ginnie. Focus. She had one man to keep alive, that's who she needed to focus on.
Anything, he said? That seemed like a dangerous promise to make. And she knew that she was going to take advantage of that opportunity when the time came. "If this kills you, i promise i will call Rayne myself and make sure she gets here in time to either stop me from going through with this or ti save you, okay?" That wouldn't cause some sort of temporal fluxuation ir paradox, she hoped. Didn't matter.
As the hand touched the barrier, she started typing again, fingers flying. She could see the power levels start to rise in the arm but she needed to do this all manually. She took a deep breathe, her finger hovering over the button. "When i tell you to shoot, you shoot that gun right at his shoulder. Do not let him die," she ordered before pressing down hard on the key. The arm let out one statically charged shot right through the barrier and, if Olly was smart enough to have it aimed, she hoped it would hit the chest. If it did, that suit of his would be fried, the static barrier would fall down. Here's to hoping. "Now!"
((TAG;; @captain OOC;; Let's just hope she doesn't need to call rayne xD))

He laughed lightly as she asked if the plan to show her another universe was more than just a crude way to ask her out. He laughed lightly because she wasn't far off. While he didn't truly intend it as that he couldn't deny facts. It was a sort of go-to move for him. Showing women different time lines and alternate universes was a good way to get them close. If it worked on Ginnie then even better. If it failed, well he could still count her among good friends, not a terrible second place.
"Little from column A, little from column B. Oh the things I can show you Ginnie...A whole new world! Shining shimmering splendor. Tell me Ginnie, when did you last let your heart decide....A WHOLE NEW WORLD!'"
He sang, laughing at his terrible singing skills. He'd learned to fight from some of the best warriors. But going back in time to talk to people like Freddie Mercury and learn how to sing never crossed his mind, or hadn't yet. Hell, for all he knew in the future he was also a highly accomplished singer. Sure it'd be odd but not exactly out of the realm of possibility.
"Or sweetheart, if I die Rayne will kill both of you. The only person she loves as much as herself as me. But hey, you're a solid second place. I mean you may be tied with a couple people, but tied none the less."
He said with a laugh. He could feel his arm charging, absorbing energy and did as he was instructed. Clenching a fist as best he could and steadying his arm with his free hand he released the energy. It was tricky, namely since his arm didn't fire. Sure he'd contemplated that feature but had the Colt at his side. The energy blast went through the barrier and hit the man in the shoulder, sending him rolling to the ground. Olly drew his gun with his only working arm and knelt on the back of the semi-conscious man.
"You're under arrest by order of SHIELD."
His bionic arm was dead at his side. He could feel the circuits doing their best to repair themselves from having channeled that massive dose of energy.
"Hey tin woman, wanna help ensure this guy stops being a threat? This is kinda your jurisdiction after all. Then maybe you can fix my arm."

Here's to being human and taking it for granted She brought her palm to her forehead at those words. No, not those words. That song. What was with the people she was around lately and Disney. Honestly, these people really needed to learn to let go of their childhoods. Then again, it wasn't the worst song he could sing. She was far from amused, though. "Please, Olly, at least leave the serenading until after we have the bad guy in custody?" she suggested. It wouldn't be the worst of ideas, after all. Focus on the task now. Afterwards, she really couldn't be bothered to care what he did. Though she would really prefer that he wouldn't. He didn't exactly have the most amazing of voices and, if she wanted to hear the song, she would just pop in an old dvd of Aladdin to listen to it. Or get JARVIS to play it. She was sure that the tech could do that simple of a task, after all. Her hands moved away from her face so she could cross her fingers as she watched the monitors. "Well then, Olly, if you do die, i will tell your sister about my clearly undying love for you that you seem to believe i have if it makes you feel any better. Of course, it'd be a lie, but I'm sure your soul could rest happily in the after life. Even if that means I am destined to die on a lie." At least if Rayne killed her, she liked to think that it would be quick and painless. In her currently fatigued state, she was pretty sure that she wouldn't be much of a match for the time travelling pirate woman. Even if she tried. There was the slight possibility it would all work out in the end, though. But part of her seemed to highly doubt that in the end. She kept her fingers crossed, though, as she watched, finding herself hoping and even praying that he didn't die. Yes! Oh thank goodness. It was a good hit. She quickly moved out of the news van and practically ran to the scene of the crime, sliding to a stop just behind the culprit. She was quick to strip him of his jacket. "Where you're headed, you won't be needing this. I don't quite appreciate people trying to use my style and tech. Especially when it's done so poorly," she tutted. She was definitely going to have to dispose of this permanently but for now, it didn't matter. "He seems human at least. Throw him in a cell, i can interrogate him at a later date. So long as they take care of him for now. I think i pretty much owe you at least the arm fixing and upgrade though." She looked at Olly, even offered a small smile to him. "Thank you for trusting me, by the way. You may annoy me, but I wouldn't do anything I thought would actually kill you."494 | @captain | That song reference, though xD I have this feeling that Olly seriously ships himself with Ginnie and she's just "I really don't understand why you do this to yourself..." |
