Marvel looked at Hawkeye for a moment, her experience with flirting was...limited. High school wasn't exactly filled with smooth talkers, just awkward teenagers figuring out what talking to each other was. Of course There was always Sebastian and his overt comments about her person. But she never really took those seriously.
Then she started to giggle. She was rather flattered at the attention. Then she mentioned it being easier to watch James' back when he wasn't playing dodgebullet and failing miserably. her giggle turned into a hearty laugh.
"Yeah, that'll be the day. Maybe then he'll come up with good plans and stop eating pie." She shook her head and started picking up erroneous weapons and crushing them between her hands. Didn't need them causing any more crime because someone picked them up off the street. She was about to answer the code name or name question when James answered for her and she nodded along.
"Yeah, some of us like a little mystery in our lives. Maybe I'll tell ya later Hawk, after you and Cap are done flirting with each other." She looked over at James and just rolled her eyes. James had, as long as she'd known him, liked talking up the ladies, and she had become rather used to it. Just once though, she'd like him to actually last longer than one night with a girl.
"C'mon, let's get him back to the Mansion so can not move for awhile. Maybe you could play doctor?" She grinned at Hawkeye suggestively.

"I'm not sure your camera could handle it," Aileen said with a small laugh to his comment. As she straightened up from her little "reward" for James, she decided that she most definitely liked Captain Marvel. Anybody who giggled like that after being flirted with was somebody she definitely wanted to talk to more. It was just sweet. She didn't actually know how old the girl was, so she was probably going to keep it on the lower end, just to be safe, but, yeah, definitely fun. And then as the other girl laughed, Aileen smiled. "Coming up with a good plan would involve coming up with a plan," She commented, "And he seems to prefer leaping off of buildings dramatically before thinking of anything."
Then James chimed in about the codenames and she nodded. Well, it wasn't like she had much of an identity to protect, but she wasn't going to make things difficult for Marvel. "Don't worry Cap, I won't ask again," She said with a small smile on her face, "Well, not around these guys at least." She continued to pick up the weapons she'd found, but she kept the movement quick this time. Well, no need to show off any more. "Now there's a mystery I wouldn't mind cracking," She said to Marvel, and then tried to pull as innocent an expression as she could through her mask. "Flirting? James was just..." She bit her lip to avoid smirking, "Watching my back." And then she laughed, "Watching it far longer than was necessary." Yep, Marvel was definitely someone she could see herself being friends with, and James...well, maybe she'd been too quick to judge James. He wasn't that much of weird jerk after all.
"Yeah, I'm sure he'll love that, laying down for hours and not doing anything," She said drily, "Although maybe he'd stay quiet for a bit if I was there, playing nurse, all dressed up." She laughed again at the ridiculousness of the mental image. "You sure you're not hurt, Marvel? You sure you don't need me to play doctor as well?" She definitely appreciated it when somebody was suggestive as well.

James shook his head. There was no discouraging Lydia when she got on a role. "Hey, I didn't hear anyone complaining when I was being a distraction so you wouldn't be pinned down anymore. My plans are great, if people would follow more of them, we'd be better off." James shrugged. "I had a plan. The entire time. My plan involved putting Hawkeye up where she can do the most good and me running around here doing what I do best." He wasn't sure who he was trying to convince anymore.
"There was no flirting. It's just a little friendly banter. I was watching her backside... Er. Back. Making sure that it wasn't going anywhere or that no one else was attacking her." That sounded much better. He was a little annoyed that his little sister was questioning his abilities in front of Hawkeye. But then again, he knew what she was up to. She was probably trying to keep James from falling into bed with Aileen. He wasn't really trying to do that, but who knows what went on in that girl's mind.
"Hey, now. I don't need a doctor. I'm fine. I'm at one hundred percent functionality." The mention of Hawkeye playing nurse made him pause. "Wait... You have a nurse costume?" And then she made the offer to Lydia too. James' shook his head. "And now my excitement is gone. Murdered in the prime of its life. Gunned down before my eyes like the rest of my hopes and dreams."

Lydia gave her brother a side long, knowing look and just shook her head. "Yeah well whatever you do best is, unfortunately for you, not what Wolverine does. You don't have the healing factor, bub." Looking around for how either of them got here, she could not see any form of transportation. Getting Captain America back to the Avengers mansion was going to prove interesting to say the least. She could easily carry them both, but she doubted he'd suffer the indignity of being carried by his little sister.
Looking over at Hawkeye when she asked if she was hurt, Marvel giggled again and shook her head. "No, I don't need a doctor. But I'll keep your number in case I skin my knee." Hearing James complain that his excitement was murdered, she laughed even harder. "Gonna need brain bleach for that image in your head, aren't you?"
She wandered over to him and grinned mischievously. "One Hundred percent functionality huh?" She poked him in the ribs, one quick jab, just to demonstrate she wasn't buying what he was selling, then she dropped her voice low so only he could hear her. "You have an appointment with a doctor or I'm dragging you back, putting on the damn nurse uniform myself and scar you for life." Her grin grew wider as she gave him another poke, for emphasis.

"And now we know why Gin- Iron Maiden makes the plans," Aileen said with a faint laugh, "As her plans consist of more than 'Take the bullets while other people do things'." Now that she was sure James was okay, just bruised, she felt a lot more comfortable teasing him. He wasn't at risk anymore. "Yeah, Marvel," Aileen said, "He was just watching my back. For a long time. And grinning." She deliberately turned away from James there, just to see if he had the willpower to "prove" he was just watching her back. She looked over her shoulder at James and grinned as they continued to rib him. Ha, rib. Well, he really should have thought about the teasing he'd have to endure before he went and got himself shot.
"Yeah, we've got other people to act as the cannon fodder, Cap," Aileen commented, "People who don't break ribs when they're shot. You're better for...punching people." She knew he was good for more than that, and she was deliberately keeping her tone light and teasing in the hope of not offending him. A bit of teasing was all well and good, but she didn't want to legitimately insult him after he'd gotten shot. After he'd helped her out.
She smirked at their reaction to her mentioning a nurse's costume. Well, there were benefits to having an extensive wardrobe, and this was definitely one of them. "Oh don't be so melodramatic," Aileen said to James, biting her lip to avoid laughing at his extreme reaction, "Maybe there'll be a time I wear it and Marvel's not there, who knows?" There probably wouldn't be, but his ears had practically pricked up when she'd mentioned it the first time, and she wanted to see his reaction again. She stepped closer as Marvel said something to James, and couldn't help grinning. "Just saying Marvel, if you borrow my nurse's outfit, I'll need to be there to see it," She paused, "Just to make sure it looks good on everybody." She finished with a wink, making the lie obvious. "And definitely give me a call if you're ever looking for a doctor." She laughed again.

"Brain bleach. Scotch. Same thing."
Cap pulled his comm out and radioed the capture in to the police. He gave Hawkeye a wink and deliberately turned his head away from her backside this time. James wasn't going to let her win at this game. Not after taking all those bullets. He made sure to inform the police that Hawkeye and Captain Marvel made the collar. James wasn't feeling much like taking the credit for something he barely took part in. "Cops are on the way. I made sure to let them know who did all the work. You two get full credit."
Lydia jabbed James in the side and he winced, giving away the truth. "Okay, okay. Just stop with the poking. You two seem to be well versed in enhanced interrogation tactics. See if SHIELD's hiring or something already." He shot his sister a glare from beneath his mask. There were perks to being invulnerable. James had none of them. Occasionally, he forgot that and everyone was very quick to remind him that he wasn't superhuman. There were days, he wouldn't mind being Superman.
A quick glance at Hawkeye and James shook his head. "Don't make promises you won't keep. And if it satisfies both of you, I'll have Iron Maiden take a look at me. It's just a cracked rib or two. There isn't much anyone can do for them. I'll let her scan me and she can tell you the same thing I just did."
