Equipment and Weapons:
Jay's Camera: Not big or special, this camera is simply something she got from her father. She was put in charge of photographing important things whenever Jay was out doing his Green Lantern thing. It's just a normal camera, nothing too fancy, albeit maybe a little older and most rustic in appearance, though, aside from that, just your run of the mill camera.
Powers:
Because she was conceived when her father was given the Starheart Lantern Ring for safe keeping, she, like Jade Scott, inherited the powers of the Starheart without needing to wear an actual ring. Her powers are still developing but she has had them and been working with them all of her life.
Eternal Youth: One of the biggest perks she gets out of being a physical embodiment of the Starheart ring is that she is granted eternal youth. Oddly enough, she seems to be physically aging just a little faster than she should, though it's pretty much been assumed that, whens he finally reaches the physical age of twenty one, she'll likely stop aging or her aging will slow down to a near halt to keep her looking young until the day she dies. Whether or not this also comes with extended longevity isn't actually known. It's possible that she will still live a normal human lifespan, just never age.
Flight/Levitation: She is able to fly around or simply levitate for extensive amounts of time. Just how long, she's not entirely sure. She doesn't really tire out all that fast. The speeds she can fly at are actually quite unknown. It's something that she's never really tested too much, though should probably try to at some point. She knows that she can fly pretty fast and, as she gets older, her speeds may even grow fast. But, for safety reasons, she's only ever been allowed to go up to a hundred, perhaps two hundred miles per hour tops. It's likely she can fly faster than this, though. Actually, she's pretty sure she can fly far faster than this, but it's never been tested. Maybe when she's older, she'll be able to properly test her speeds but it doesn't look like that's going to be the case for quite a long time. The only time she is known to go extraordinarily fast is when she's out in space, reaching Mach Speeds, though that's because she doesn't have much in the way to go off of to know that she's not going within her usual range.
Phasing: Interestingly enough, those with the Starheart abilities have been known to be able to phase through objects. Phasing is another term for being able to go through solid constructs. It's also often called intangibility. It takes focus for her to do this but it's always so much fun. It makes sneaking around really easy too as it makes it easier for her to make her footsteps lighter. A perfect ability for trying to play hide and seek as well. After all, when you can simply phase out of wherever you're hiding, it's great! Childish? Perhaps! But it's just one of the many uses that phasing has. It's hard to phase attacks through her. Actually, she doesn't know how to do that at all yet, really. Maybe as she gets older, she will, but for now, she knows how to phase through solid constructs like walls and such.
Blinding Light: Also known as photokinesis, Dahlia is able to create small balls of light energy in her hands that she can then use to either illuminate an area or blind someone. The balls of light aren't usually too big, just small, able to fit in the palm of her hand. They have the smallest green tint to them, as is the nature of her gifts, after all. These little concentrated balls of energy can be then thrown at people to temporarily blind them. It's even possible to permanently blind someone, though she has never done that. She knows not to make them too bright, constantly afraid that if she messes up, she might actually hurt someone she cares about.
Energy Projection: She is able to create energy-based attacks that can have various effects from energy blasts to heat beams to stun beams. She is also able to create objects that could be used to direct this energy. It's thought to simply be the mystical Starheart energy that powers her, just taking different forms. How powerful any number of these are, she's not entirely sure. She's never really practiced with them as much, the only practice she does do is only really done in order to make sure she can control her gifts. She wouldn't want to accidentally do anything that would hurt someone.
Invisibility: Whether this is true invisibility or simply brought about by refracting the light around her in order to create the image of her not being there, she is able to seemingly disappear from sight while still being exactly where she is, right down to her clothes. She doesn't really know how to control it, however, though when she focuses really hard, she is able to make herself invisible. What tends to happen more often, though, is she starts getting very nervous or scared or extraordinarily upset and ends up accidentally making herself invisible.
Danger Detection: When she focuses hard enough, she is able to detect and reveal dangerous objects, causing a glow to appear around them in order to make them noticeable. She has to be within a few hundred yards of the object for it to be detected.
Energy Constructs: The most well known power that comes with 'Lanterns' is the ability to create energy constructs. While they are not permanent and by no means ever alive, these emerald energy constructs can take the form of anything she could possibly imagine. There is no limit to what she can make with them, so long as her imagination is able to create it. While over time they will fade, especially if she loses concentration, they can last for quite some time. She uses this the most often, mainly because she finds it fun to make it look like Charlie is in a pretty green tutu when he comes around.
Protective Force Fields: Unlike others who have either had the Starheart ring itself or were created with it's energy, her protective force field isn't something that is permanently around her. Or at least it isn't noticeably around her permanently. She has to focus on creating one and is very much visible around herself or those she is trying to protect. These force fields can hold up against bullets and other weapons so long as they are not made of wood of any kind.
Starheart Sight: Due to the Starheart Energy's mystical nature, she actually has the ability to see and track mystical and astral energy forms such as ghosts.
Slight Reality Warping: The Starheart's powers are actually quite limitless, due to the fact that what they can do is based on their imaginations. The true extents of what Dahlia might be able to do cannot be properly described. It is this slight ability to warp reality that she is able to breathe in the vacuums of space, for example. Simply because she believes she can. Were she ever convinced that she couldn't, she would not longer be able to be.
Skills:
Artistic Prodigy: While her siblings seem to excel in the creation of mechanical things, she has a remarkable talent in the field of art and design. Where her siblings can build it, she can draw out the designs for it perfectly detailed for someone to build. She is also quite good at more simpler forms of art, loving to use her siblings or people she sees relaxing around as subjects to draw them. She has various sketchbooks she uses for her drawings because of this and it is her artistic nature that helps with her extensive imagination. She's occasionally been known to try and take what she draws and make them into energy constructs.
Genius Level Intellect: Like her siblings, she is exceedingly smart. She is quick to pick up on things and, while she does no quite specialize in any one thing like her brother and sister, this intellect is what makes her seem to be far older than she actually is. Just where her IQ range lies is quite a mystery, though it's thought to be very close to her brother and sister's. She is an Andrews after all.
Photography: Because she was put in charge of photographing life events and the like by her father, as well as being very in love with the expressionism that photography has in the realm of art, she is exceedingly good with a camera. Her photos actually appear to be professionally when she takes them, always making sure to take her time before snapping the shot.
Strong Willpower: While her willpower isn't near as indomitable like a Green Lantern's would be, her morals make her very hard to deter. Where she sets her mind to something, she is known to do it, and not even the use of things like mind control are really known to change that. It is possible to, just highly unlikely. It's something that would likely make her a marvelous Green Lantern someday if it weren't for the fact she was more fascinated with the prospect of becoming a Nova.Come on, Charlie, you know you need that sidekick.
Basic Hand-to-Hand Combat: While she isn't the fighter that her sister is, preferring to use her words rather than her fist, she does have basic training in self-defense and normal hand to hand combat. After all, have you seen her family? Her mother is Rose Wilson, do you think she'd let any of her children walk around without the knowledge of how to defend themselves?
Multilingual: Like her siblings, she is able to speak English fluently as well as use American Sign Language. She has picked up Cambodian, French, and Interlac from her siblings as well as bits and pieces of Thanagarian and Kree and various other alien languages, though I wouldn't say she has a real fluency in them yet.
Weaknesses:
1.) I'm like a human sonic screwdriver! One of the very first weaknesses that should be noted is, being that she is, in essense, a Starheart, her powers are seemingly messed up by wood. Yes, you heard that right. Wood. See, even her constructs can be messed up or even nullified with the right pieces of wood. Being in a world surrounded by it kind if messes with things, but she manages. She's young after all. Learning ti deal with it isn't going to be that tough.
2.) You be the princess and i can be the knight who saves you One small, maybe even strange thing about Dahlia is, despite being so young, she has seemingly romanticized the idea of being a super hero. She sees people like her mother, her father, sister, brother, and just a slew of heroes all around her and, well, she wants to be like them. She wants to be a mighty hero, wants to save people, which can lead her to trouble. And while she has a special deal with her parents about her 'heroing', even the young girl has her times where she just tries to fly off and save the day. And that never ends well.
3.) Gosh! I'm not five anymore! Dahlia is exceedingly youthful. She's probably one of the youngest hero wannabes around. And being so young, despite her smarts, leaves her a bit vulnerable, as she doesn't have much experience with how the world works. She's gonna need to get it somehow, though.
4.) My eyes are always to the stars Or, rather, her head is often in the clouds. She has an incredibly wild imagination and a good bit if time, she isn't actually focussing on the world around her. Now some may think that's not a weakness, how good it be? But consider this, her powers are defined my her imagination and her creativity. Meaning honestly believing she can create something or do something with enough 'mental strength' so to speak can lead to it actually happening. No imagine this girl having a nightmare and then, the next day, not being able to think of anything else. Do you see the issue here? And while her father is teaching her how to control that, well, she likely has years before that properly happens.
5.) Daddy, it's hurt! We need to help it! She seemingly feels an incredibly strong connection to animals, especially injured ones and, as such, often times feels compelled to save them. From birds with broken wings to dogs who survived being hit by cars to cats who simply just look starved and battered, she can't seem to stand the sight of them. And so, more times than not, she does what she can to help or save, even if saving such a thing could lead to more trouble than it was in in the first place. But who could blame her!
6.) I was sad but now I'm happy! How she feels emotionally plays a large part in how well she can actually use and control her powers. Keep in mind these are powers she has had, actively since she was still in Rose's womb. The happier or more excited she is, the easier it is for her to control her abilities, although she has been known to start fly or levitating from excitement even when she doesn't mean to. While strong senses of discomfort or fear can cause her to become invisible and sometimes even seemingly intangible, like a ghost. Emotions are such a big controlling factor that, if you get her in the right emotional state, she can't really use her gifts all that well. Not at all.
7.) Don't you dare touch my sissy! From a young age, a sense of familial loyalty was instilled in her and, honestly, she would do anything to keep them safe. Sure, she's the youngest, the tiniest, and by all accounts would probably be underestimated, but that doesn't mean she is one to just be glanced over. You see, she's probably the most powerful thirteen year old you will meet and she just wants her family to be happy and safe. And that doesn't include just her blood family, that includes all the family friends as well. However, on the downside, what she makes up in power, she lacks in experience and boy can that mess her up.
8.) What's the big deal about boy parts and girl parts? This is odd and, in all fairness, probably doesn't need to be said but i feel like it is necessary. Dahlia is gender-confused. Well, to an extent. She seemingly has trouble differentiating males from females and often mixes up the right 'honorifics' for them. This probably isn't helped by the fact that she believes princesses are just whatever pretty person needs to be save from the big old towers. And often times, in her head, those princesses come in the form of Charlie or Wyatt or even her Father while the strapping knights and worried princes tend to be Jamie and her mother in her head. Strange, huh?
9.) Why is everything spinning? Everyone has their limits, even little Dahlia here. And being such a young age, she can reach them faster than she means too. While creating hard constructs and flying don't seem to tire her out too quickly, the majority of her other gifta do. Or when she tries creating constructs that are far too big. Of course, that's expected. However, Dahlia doesn't know or understand her limits and, often times, accidentally pushes them. It usually isn't until she starts getting dizzy or feeling sick that she finally quits on trying to do more. And that's only really because the dizziness makes it exceedingly difficult.
10.) There's no such thing as wicked stepmothers, only wicked upbringings Dahlia believes that nobody is inherently evil. At their heart, their soul, their very core there is always light. And because of this, she tends to trust people quickly, even if she really shouldn't. She's also a bit naive, which doesn't really help all that much. She likes to give everyone a chance, no matter what. Sometimes, people just need a friend to let their light shine through.
11.) You'd think i had my own secret service! Dahlia is over protected. Not over protective, over protected. The president of the united states doesn't even have as much 'security' as this little girl. Between family, novas, guardians of the galaxy, even lanterns, there is always someone there who could coddle or protect her. And, while that might not be a bad thing to some, she wishes, just a little, to have some space and be trusted to be able to defend herseld. Just a little.

THE REST
Personality:
Dahlia is quite literally the picture of innocence most days. She's just a sweet and fun loving girl who loves trying to meet, well, everyone! She's naive and easily fooled at times, not always being able to tell when someone is lying to her or when someone is actually a 'friend'. Her naivety has gotten her into trouble more times than she can count because, along with it, she is easily manipulated. She just wants to be liked and she doesn't quite understand how mean people can actually be. Because of what others have tried to get her to believe and have gotten her to do, she has been grounded a couple of times and she doesn't quite understand what she might be doing wrong.
Dahl is a just such a sweet little girl, though. She has a rather compassionate nature, especially towards people who might be thought of as misfits or animals who would be homeless without her. She is constantly bringing home strays where she can, not really able to bring herself to let a poor, injured or sickly animal to stay out in the streets to die. Whether they're of alien origin or seemingly earthly, she just can't stand the sight of them. This compassion often translates from animals to actual people more often than not.
She loves to play and is often quite hyper when she's not concentrating on learning how to be a real hero or on her picture taking or art. She is known to ask question after question and often goes out of her way to make friends with everyone and anyone she meets. She's also fairly open with what she is, not understanding that some people don't like people like her people with powers. She's also the type of girl who would rather use her words to resolve a conflict and doesn't understand why people just can't all get along. After all, everyone bleeds just the same on the inside, shouldn't that count for something?
She is incredibly smart and zips through her class work like it was nothing. She picks up on things quite easily and just loves to learn everything she can. Sometimes she'll stay after class to talk to the teacher and see if there is any extra work she can do. She likes to try and get extra work for those days where she has to go home straight away to help with things like chores and do normal child things, that way she has things to do when she's wasting time imagining what being a real superhero is like. She's also extremely creative and rather artistic, to the point in which she could be considered an artistic prodigy.
History:
We all seem to know the tale of Jay Andrews and Rose Wilson came to be. It's been told time and again, more notably by her siblings. It's not one that is necessarily needed to be known for Dahlia Andrews' birth. What should be noted, however, is that her father, Jay, once a proud Green Lantern, is one of the few who had ever been granted the use of the Starheart ring. It was more so for the ring's own protection than anything else and Jay was able to use it just fine. This is quite important to keep in mind when considering the fact that Dahlia is the only Andrews child to be imbued with the Starheart's power. Whether the Starheart ring is still under the Andrews' protective care isn't quite known. What is known is that, by the time Dahlia was conceived, it had bonded with Jay similarly to how it had bonded with it's previous owner, Alan Scott.
Dahlia was by no means planned out. No, she was very much an accident. But when Rose found out she was pregnant, she wasn't put off by the idea of having a third child. What did concern her, however, was some of the powers that were manifesting during the second and third trimester (powers that were stripped right back away from Rose as soon as Dahlia was born). One could even say that Rose was somewhat freaked out by them. After all, waking up in the middle of the night to find yourself floating above your bed can be quite confusing and even frightening when your hormones are crazy and you've never shown powers like flight in the past.
Obvious, the girl was born with her powers already active. They'd been active in the womb. And it was because of this that made raising Dahlia a bit tricky. She had to be taught at a very young age how to control some of her gifts, such as her flight and her phasing. When she was little, she'd imagine her stuffed animals coming to life and had to be taught that, technically, she shouldn't be able to do this with her powers. That there were rules she had to follow and that breaking these rules could come with various repercussions. Due to the fact that her father had powers similar to hers due to having a ring, he helped her understand them the most. Being able to fly made hiding treats and snacks difficult and at a very young age, her mother seemed to pick up on the need for using wooden containers and the like to keep her from using any energy constructs to get them down.
Most of her life wasn't spent on Earth, however. She was five when the Battle had taken place. She wasn't there for any of it, of course, nor was her family. No, rather, because of her father's warning, the family had evacuated Earth and been taken to Knowhere instead. Most of her early memories of Earth are vague at best, growing up primarily in space. It was easier on her mother, given her father's active participation with the Green Lantern Corp. Oddly enough, this had a somewhat backwards effect on her. While people on Earth seem to dream of the stars, she dreamed more of Earth than anything else. Odd, given the fact that, being in space held endless possibilities.
Education in space was quite interesting, however. The bright and bubbly girl was just as smart as her two siblings and the subjects she got taught due to where she was seemed to more of a challenge than that she would have ever gotten on earth though still seemed to be something she could breeze right through. Spending the last eight years in space has been quite neat, actually, giving her opportunities that no human had really ever had before. But even still, with the challenges and the like, she kind of wished she could be on Earth, get to know what her brother and sister had. At the very least, let her be the hero that her brother and sister were. But she is young and she has much to learn. Maybe she'll be able to prove to her mother that she could be a remarkable hero and still keep up on her education, but for now, she just has to rely on the little things she can do. As well as her ability to sneak off and follow her siblings and Charlie into trouble.

You be the princess and i can be the knight who saves you One small, maybe even strange thing about Dahlia is, despite being so young, she has seemingly romanticized the idea of being a super hero.

Oh, we could be the stars, falling from the sky
Dahlia was lying down on her bed, staring up at the ceiling of her room. Everything in here was hand-painted by her. She hadn't been too keen on the idea of her room being so plain, so dull. She had wanted a colorful room and she'd made hers just that. Her room was pretty much painted to look like someone was walking through a field back on Earth, or what she remembered of them at least. Some of the colors were a bit off, so used to the revenues of space and other planets where she had gotten the chance to go with someone. The grass, while primarily green, was tinted blue, some of the flowers she'd painted were rainbow in color, and the tree off to one side was painted with what looked like light purple apples. For the most part, though, everything looked like it should, even with a few odd colorations here and there. The ceiling that she was staring at, though, that was the true masterpiece. Sure, her room was beautiful, but that ceiling was what she liked the most. Simple and true in it's resemblance of the sky, it was done with oranges, reds, and pinks to represent the setting sun. Wispy clouds that she liked to imagine were moving across the sky littered it. Some appeared to make fluffy shapes, though everyone who looked at them seemed to always think something different. Just like a real cloud. Just like she wanted it.
It was that skyscape that she loved to stare at so much, yet right now? It just didn't seem right. It was usually so calming yet at the moment, she felt restless. She had tried drawing earlier but ended up with a pile of crumpled up papers on the floor, not able to get anything right. She had tried cleaning, which had done well to distract her for a while, but she'd gone through it so fast that she didn't really seem to think it was worth the time. She'd even tried seeing if anyone around Knowhere needed help with anything but all of that was for not. So she thought, perhaps try and relax in her room. But that wasn't really helping one bit. Dahl kept fidgeting, not even creating small constructs to distract her seemed to help.
Perhaps it was because she needed to be more active, though she didn't think that was the case. She was almost constantly moving, after all. Why would it be that? No, she knew exactly what it was making her so restless. Her head turned away from her ceiling to look towards her window. She could see the beautiful vacuums of space right outside of it and she longed to be out there, longed to explore, longed to find her way back home. Wyatt and Jamie got to go wherever they wanted, got to be apart of the Guardians of the Galaxy. They'd earned it, but she would likely have years before her mother would actually allow her to be a real hero. She just wanted some fun, wanted an adventure, a story to tell her siblings. But she was supposed to try and be good, right? Earn her privilege just like Wyatt and Jamie had. But there was a small thought in the back of her head. 'What momma doesn't know,' she thought.
Deep down she knew it was wrong but as she hopped off her bed, she realized that, so long as she was back before anyone noticed she was gone, she couldn't possibly get into trouble! She changed to do it, too, into something more form fitting and dark before she'd started to sneak around Knowhere until, finally, after what felt like half an hour (though, that was probably more so due to her nervousness about getting caught), she found her way Continuum Cortex and, while it took a lot of concentration to keep herself invisible, she was able to make it out of Kowhere.
She felt so free out in the vacuums of space and a bright grin spread across her lips as her invisibility wore off so she could fly, freely, through the stars. Just where she would go before heading back to Knowhere, she didn't know. Perhaps she would stay close, or maybe she would find her way to some seemingly deserted planet, have a real story to tell. Or, even better, maybe she'll make a friend out here! Oh, wouldn't that be exciting? "It's so nice to be free!" she giggled to herself, moving through space without any real agenda. She just had to remember to try and be back before anyone started to ask any questions.
