Boredom didn't tend to suit Aileen very well. While she didn't mind curling up with a book occasionally, or having a movie marathon or something like that, having absolutely nothing to do tended to leave her in a bad mood. However, when she'd woken up this morning, she'd found that she'd managed to go through pretty much all the clothes she'd been keeping at the Tower. The rest were at home, and that was somewhere she was avoiding right now. Knowing that that evil bitch from the other universe had been there, sleeping in her bed, wearing her clothes, eating her food, it just didn't feel like home anymore. She'd already moved to a different room at the tower, but she couldn't exactly just move house. So rather than going back home to pick up clothes, she decided to kill two birds with one stone.

So it was a shopping trip for her. She worked for Ginnie Stark and she was fairly sure she could use a company credit card if she had to, so it wasn't like money was an issue. So she had the whole day to just try on outfits, decide what she wanted and get it. Perfect. Well, it would be if she had anyone to spend it with. Oh well, she could do just fine by herself. And she had. So far she'd gotten three outfits, a couple more tops, and she'd even popped into Victoria's Secret and gotten herself some interesting stuff. Well, if Ginnie questioned the bill, Aileen felt like she could just show her what she'd bought and Ginnie would understand. 

Still, she'd been shopping for almost four hours now, and she was getting kinda bored. Plus carrying around the bags was getting a bit inconvenient. Maybe it was time for her to head home and try and do something else to fill in the time until Ginnie or one of the others got home. Maybe she'd go to a movie or something. Well, before she decided anything, Aileen decided to stop off for a drink at a coffee shop. She sat down at a table with all of her bags and got herself a cappuccino, and then sat by herself, sipping it in a slightly sulk fashion. She needed something to do. And not in the distraction way, in the superhero way. The job way. She still went on patrols most nights, but it seemed like she just wasn't getting as much crime as she used to. The last time she'd gotten anything more interesting than petty theft was that girl in Metropolis, and she wasn't looking for a repeat of that. Well, being gloomy wasn't going to help her. Maybe she just needed some company.

Kammi liked New York a little more than she should. After all, it wasn't as if this city did much for her. No true wonderful moments or terrible ones that she could necessarily think of but the city as a whole was still so beautiful, even in it's own destruction and ruined sections. How she wished she could have seen it's destruction nine years ago. That would have just been marvelous. Imagine watching as the buildings slowly burned away and turned to rubble. She hadn't even had the pleasure of watching it live on the television. She would like to blame her departed older brother for that, though she wasn't entirely sure if he was the reason for it or not. Not anymore. It was possible, sure, but her memory could be a bit fuzzy at times. Even if she wasn't under his control at the time, she could certainly blame him for the tampering he did that had ruined her mind. Because, obviously, he was the cause for her somewhat more broken mentality, yes?

No matter, she was in New York and, like every other time she'd been here, she was here under a very specific guise: Sharon Rogers. And it was for a certain reason as well. She had a story behind it. Something about a grandmother she could use, say no relation to Steve or anything. But it was a name she was using for one reason and one reason only. She knew just how much it would get under the skin of anyone walking around as the so called Captain America. Anyone worth their salt knew the importance of both those names. At least in either the heroing world or the SHIELD one. She knew that, eventually, she'd have to make her move, but she wanted it to be perfect, wanted it to be just right. Until then, she had smaller factions scattered around the world working on various things, from science experiments to creating diversions. Anything to keep the focus off of the real brains behind the movement. Sooner or later, HYDRA would be in control, and no one would even realize it until it was all too late.

Before she could really think too much on that, though, her eyes caught the glimpse of a rather familiar red haired wonder. The beautiful Hawkeye. She saw her through a window and it made the fiery woman stop a moment. A small smirk touched her lips as ideas started to form. Aileen had been such marvelous help with getting information before, perhaps it was time to start utilizing her again. After a moment of thought, she moved into the shop, putting up her best look of surprise. "Aileen?" She questioned, moving towards the girl before a pout started to touch her lips. There was something wrong with this picture, something wrong with this woman. Wonderful. There was no one better for manipulating than a woman who was depressed. "Are you okay, hun?"

Aileen knew these gloomy thoughts weren't like her and weren't becoming of a superhero, especially one who was known for being upbeat and not very serious, but she couldn't help it. It just felt like the Avengers had had all of maybe two good months before everything went to shit. They'd started to get closer, all of them working together and trusting each other, and then James had lost his hand. And then she'd been replaced and been taken by....him. The other James. And then it had turned out that the T'Shan she'd known for a year had been a fake. An impostor who'd fooled them for months. She'd still known the old one, of course, but the one she'd flirted with, gotten close with and even maybe thought about more had just been planning the best way to kill her and replace her with the other Hawkeye. 

Even after the other T'Shan and James had been killed - and despite everything, doing it had still hurt - things hadn't stopped. What looked like a mugging in Metropolis had turned too quickly into a fight she couldn't handle, with the "victim" outfighting and torturing her, telling her what she wanted to do to her. And then she'd had a lecture from Ginnie about responsibility. It was just shit. She took another grim, moody sip of her cappuccino, and then, as if her wishing for company had summoned her up, Aileen heard someone calling her name.

She looked up to see a familiar face walking towards her and then looking concerned. It was....Sharon, right. Sharon Rogers. The Avengers fangirl with a crush. A bit of heat entered Aileen's face as she remembered the somewhat unexpected makeout session from last time. But if she was gonna hang out with someone she'd only met once to try and ease her foul mood, might as well be someone she knew liked her. 

Aileen forced a smile on her face as Sharon sat down.
"I'm fine," She said, trying to wave it away, "Just a bit...down, I guess. Can I get you a drink? Sit down?" She'd wanted company and something to do. This would do fine.
