It all started as a game. Cosmic Entities wanting to create the ultimate show. So they merged the Marvel and DC universes to see who was best. But it didn't quite work out that way and they lived in peace. Until the kabal of Circe, Dormammu, Darkseid and Thanos teamed up. Heroes and villains alike came together to stop them. When they were done the kabal was defeated but over half of NYC was destroyed and the heroes and villains who opposed them were left maimed and/or insane from the war. The rest were simply dead, along with millions. Now the next generation is nearly forced to step up, trying to save the world.
Apocalypse has arrived with his Horsemen and army. Titan Tower, Jean Grey Academy, Central City, Keystone City and more have fallen. Thousands, if not Millions of humans have been killed by the Plague. Human/Mutant relations are at their lowest in 15 years. SHIELD has been crippled by all the attacks and heroes are falling. Help may be coming though! CURRENTLY LOOKING FOR A MODERATOR. PM JJ GRAYSON IF INTERESTED! ALL CREDIT FOR CODING AND SKIN WORK GOES TO CHUCK
"Oh that's a lie Kitten. I know for a fact it's killing you."
He said with a wink and a laugh. He knew her far better than he would let on, at least for now. Of course if he kept drinking it was only a matter of time before he told her everything. Sure he was good at keeping secrets but alcohol had a tendency to loosen even the strongest tongue. He ignored her as he went on his way, well until she stopped him. He took a swig from one bottle and smiled.
"Haven't had this in centuries. Last time I did this I ended up roaming around the desert of Ancient Egypt. I think that's when I lost my sword under the Sphinx, along with my cell phone."
As she corrected him he looked back and forth and sighed.
"I always miss that turn."
He said before walking as she took his hand. He smiled a bit and gave her hand a squeeze before she began flipping. He clapped as best he could with an open hand and closed one holding the bottles.
"Always the show off aren't you? I wonder is it the Queen thing or an Asgardian thing? Since your brother seems pretty good at being the center of attention. Then again being seven feet tall and able to push a building over by leaning on it will put anyone in that spot."
He said with a laugh. He then motioned for her to come with him and stepped through a door onto the balcony. The balcony was hidden by the walls of the palace and some large trees yet still had ample sunlight. He stepped out and slipped some sunglasses on before placing the bottles down. He took his coat off and laid it on the railing before loosening his tie slightly.
"I must admit Kitten I feel a little naked without all my weapons."
He said shaking his head before sitting down on the floor against the railing. He took another swig and examined the bottle shaking his head. He knew it was a bad idea to drink this in the heat and sun but he didn't care. He was here to relax and hang out with a....friend.
A rush of warmth had run through her when he squeezed her hand, part of the reason she’d let go and shown off, trying to shake that off. Was it really in anyone’s best interest for her to be that close to someone like Olly...Olivier? She was Queen and Black Panther first, Princess of Asgard second, sister to T’Shan, then S’Fada.
Ada simply stood at the end of the hall, smiling at him after her little routine. ”It is of the Asgardian blood for sure. An of Thor’s line.” Her brown eyes watched him motion to her before slipping through the doorway. She walked in behind him, watching the way he moved. She was scrutinizing every inch of him as her thoughts swirled.
The way he tasted when she’d kissed him still lingered in her mind as much as his touch on her cheek did. He was different, very different from anyone else she’d ever been with, much less dated. Although, to be fair, she hadn’t really dated since TNG Staff and not at all after her mother had died. Who was suppose to be right to rule a country by her side. How could she know who that person was. Was it someone she loved? Or someone to make an alliance with? Or someone who would make a good ruler. Was it possible to find all those things in one person? Should she be out looking or simply wait until this person showed up in her life.
She looked up at him as he spoke again. A smile formed on her face and she stepped up behind him, leaving all her worries in the hall behind her. She started to slip one arm over his shoulder, and the other around his waist, but instead simply rested an arm on his shoulder. ”I am a weapon. I can be your weapon for now,” she said, glancing at him.
Below them there was a decent size redwood tree garden of young trees. She’d had it planted when she became queen. They were all still pretty small, in comparison to how tall they could get. An artificially chilled stream flowed through it, keeping this courtyard cooler than others. There was a cedar chip path wove its way through the trees, crossing the stream with a log bridge. She loved this because it was so different from the jungle that surrounded her. It was a little piece of the West; of California.
She let him go as he moved to sit on the floor. They didn’t have to, but he didn’t seem to mind, so she sat down next to him, just watching him. She slowly sits down next to him, pulling her own ale close and taking a swig.
As she confirmed that the arrogance was an Asgardian thing, and especially in Thor's line he smirked a bit. It was always good to have your theories confirmed. He didn't care that she was arrogant. Hell, who was he to judge arrogance? He was often considered one of the most arrogant beings in SHIELD. Which again was actually impressive. He laughed a bit and as he walked onto the balcony he felt her wrap her arm around him. He placed his hand on her's and smiled, gently kissing it.
"You're not just a weapon Kitten. I mean sure you can throw a car through a building, but that's a whole other thing."
He said before going to sit down. He glanced over as she sat beside him and smiled. He took a swig from the bottle before glancing over at her and scooting closer to her.
"So what's this I heard about you disappearing and sealing yourself off. From what I heard it has something to do with your brother's new godly status. Dealing with a stronger sibling is always tough."
He said with a sigh before taking another swig of the bottle. He glanced to her and smiled a bit. He knew just how tough it truly was for her. He had been dealing with it for centuries, it sucked, but he'd made peace with it about a hundred years ago.
Ada smiled when he kissed her hand. She smiled again after they were sitting on the floor and he scooted closer to her. She liked him close. She stopped...did she really just think that? For so long she’d been on the ‘Olly is an annoying turd’ band wagon, and now she wanted him close. She looked at the bottle in her hand for a moment and shrugged, taking another swig of it. She turned to look at him as his voice reached her ears again, that smile on her face. But it didn’t last long.
It died when he asked a rather heavy question. Her head was already swimming from the ale. She didn’t want to have to think about any of this kind of stuff right now. On the other hand she wasn’t one to not answer a question just because it made her uncomfortable. After all, she was a Queen.
”I do not,” she started, landing a heavy hand on his thigh. ”Want to talk about it,” she continued, giving his thigh a pat. ”But yes. Yes I am envious of my brother, alright. Is that want people want to hear? I am jealous that my little brother went away.” Her voice cracked as memories of that day came racing back ”I think he is dead. And then when he comes back he is….I am...worthless. Replaceable. Who would want me in place of a god.” Damn booze. Tears ran down her cheeks. She felt inadequate and it wasn’t a feeling she was use to. In fact, she’d never actually felt that way before. ”He went away, and I fear I never got him back.”
She hadn’t cried, hadn’t allowed herself to cry since the day she’d watched him explode, and even then she hadn’t been able to let herself grieve because she had had to control her emotions to use her powers, and after that she’d taken her brother’s place on the Avengers. Tears dripped down on to her hands. She glanced down at the bottle in her hands.
He knew he'd struck a nerve even before she spoke. He knew her well enough to know talking about feelings had never been her strong suit. But he knew from experience he could get it out of her if he kept at it. He just needed to be careful so she didn't throw him off the balcony. While not ideal and certainly risky, he also knew in the grand scheme it needed to be done. He sat there in the silence, noticing her tears.
"Ya know my sister is better with her powers than I am. Actually she's pretty much superior in every way. For starters people actually like her. But she can use her powers to teleport around a room, I never could figure that out. Sure I can hop around time and universes well enough, but it's nothing compared to her."
He said before taking a swig from the bottle. He wanted a cigarette now but also knew better than to attempt it, even on a balcony. Later on he'd pop out into the jungle have a smoke, maybe do some hunting.
"I'm jealous of her, so jealous. Her team loves her, she has a boyfriend, or whatever and a great daughter....that I kidnap from the future. Long story. Ya know how I get past it? Alcohol and physical pleasure. Well that and I do my best to be useful to everyone. I know the Avengers don't like me, I made peace with that decades ago. I suggest looking past all the differences in your brother. I mean he's going to grow and change, he wasn't always going to be your little brother who kept trying sneak up on you with his mace."
He said with a smile.
"Besides, who said you won't become a goddess in your own right. Goddess of beauty and desire. You can demand sacrifices of make up and slutty lingerie."
He was saying words, and she knew they were suppose to comfort her, she knew that, but they didn’t. For someone who’d been to so many times in history, knew her future, he kinda sucked at this whole comforting thing. But still, it felt good to talk.
”The powers are not the only thing. He got to have a life. Still gets to. While he was running around the realms being an idiot. Drinking too much, partying more than he should. Being with whomever he wanted. I was here, ruling a country. I blame him not, but sometimes I wonder what it would have been like if he had been the elder, and I the younger. If he was here in the palace instead of me.”
She finally looked up from her hands and at him. She knew she was pouting like a small child, and for once, she didn’t care. She didn’t have anyone standing around telling her she had be a queen or that she had to grow up. It was Olly, and he probably wouldn’t care. She could go back to being queen tomorrow.
”He never was very skilled at sneaking was he.” She let out a soft chuckle at the memories, before becoming more serious again. She looked at him, holding his gaze. Smiling when he talked about her becoming the Goddess of beauty and desire, but only one comment stayed with her, and when he finished talking, she said, ”I like you Olivier.” She wanted to lean over and kiss him again. She still remembered how he tasted on her lips, but she didn’t want him thinking she was just using it as a diversion again.
He simply listened to her and smiled. She needed to talk and she needed to get over stuff. Yes consoling may not be his strongest attribute, he was better at giving advice or combat. When it came to helping someone feel better he'd never been good. It was something all his past relationships had taught him, if they could be considered relationships. With a smile he stood up, as best he could as the rum was hitting him. He took a swig from the bottle and held his hand out to her.
"C'mon Kitten, let's go see what that world would be like."
He said opening up a portal in front of them. He gently kissed her hand with a smile before walking through the portal with her.
"In this universe T'Shan was born first and you're the fun, light hearted party animal......."
He mumbled something after animal before walking through the hall, his arm tucked around her's as if he was escorting her.
"So T'Shan is the Black Panther you go by Power Princess. Not the best name but you're too strong for anyone to question it. Basically your lives flipped. You had the collar, got transported to the vast future and became the Goddess of Strength after wielding Mjolnir. Of course here you were raised in Asgard instead of Wakanda."
As they walked through the halls servants bowed to them.
"That's a longer story, but we're here to talk about you and T'Shan."
It took her quite some time to process what was actually going on. Her body responding to his held out hand before her mind by taking it and standing up. She smiled and followed him through the portal before it dawned on what he’d actually said. That he was taking her to see what it would have been like if she’d been born second and never had the mantle of Queen on her shoulders.
She was only half listening to him as her eyes scanned the hall they were walking down. It felt strange. This was definitely not her hall, and it wasn’t even like the difference where big. Just subtle things here and there, a slightly different vase. A different guy dusting a portrait of Shuri. She let Olly pull her in close. She wasn’t feeling very secure right now, in her vulnerable and drunk state.
”Animal..what?” But her words were covered up as he continued to talk as if he han’t just mumbled something. She snorted at the very idea of having picked the name Power Princess. She moved even closer to him as someone approached them, actually seeming to notice them. As soon as they passed she pulled him into a side hall that wasn’t used much, as least not in her world. She pushed him against the wall, looking around the corner to see if anyone was coming. Her brain had finally caught up and made a coherent thought.
”Olly...this, we should not be here okay? I...I was only talking. People...we aren’t actually supposed to know. What if I like this version better?” She sighed, leaning her forehead against his, combing her fingers into his hair. ”Thank you for thinking this would help, but I do not actually want to know. I want to fantasize about it, but I am afraid of risking liking it better here than at home. Also...why if they find out we are not this places Ada and Olly?”
She was kind of rambling now, but she only paid attention to half of what she was saying. Most of her brain was far more concerned with how close they were at the moment, and nice it felt.
"Animal nothing. Don't worry about it. I mean sure certain terms, like sex crazed fiend, are occasionally thrown around, when you're not around. Then again it's also used in relation to a certain CHECKMATE agent."
He said with a smile. He was about to go on about all of the differences in this universe until he was pulled into a side hallway. As she pulled him close and ran her fingers through his long hair he was temporarily distracted. Ok, distracted may not be the most accurate term but it was the best one that came to mind. As she began pleading to go back he looked at her with a smile. He reached up and gently brushed some hair back away from her face. While he knew it was dangerous he also knew that he couldn't pass up an opportunity like this and planted a kiss on her lips. He wasn't sure where this would've ended up, between the emotions and alcohol, who knows what might've happened.
He took control pushing her against the wall and picking her up as he pressed against her and deepened the kiss. His lips moved down to her neck until he heard someone clear their throat. He turned his head to the side and saw T'Shan, a slightly less muscular T'Shan however, in a black suit standing there.
'Must the two of you insist on fornicating on every surface of this palace?'
'Wait, you have both eyes. You are not my brother in law. WHich better mean this is not my sister. I don't care why you're here, but I want you both out. Get your fluids on someone else's surface.'
"Always the blocker T'Shan, in every universe."
"C'mon just 5.....30...."
He looked her up and down.
"...you're right. We'll go. I would spend way too long with her."
He opened a portal behind him and backed up into it. He kept his hand held out for her and waited for her to come through the portal. However he also understood if her curiosity would get the better of her. He was a patient man though, especially when she was concerned.
Ada inhaled sharply as his lips pressed against hers. Her eyes closed as she lost herself in the kiss. Her fingers buried themselves into his soft hair until her entire hand cupped the back of his head. Her other hand dropped to his shoulder, and then slid down to his bicep, resting comfortably there, until he pushed her against the wall behind her. There was a small grunt as she hit the wall. Her hands tightened their grip as his body pressed against hers and he lifted her feet off the ground.
”I am starting to understand the “sex crazed fiend” part,” she said with a grin. Her eyes closed as Olly’s lips trailed over the tender skin of her neck. It felt as though her heart stopped when she heard someone clear their throat. She suddenly felt extremely exposed and wiggled out of Olly’s grasp to stand on her own feet again. She felt like a small child under the disapproving look of a parent, something she hadn’t felt in a long, long time. It was kind of exciting. Her head jerked up though as T’Shan continued to speak.
”Brother in Law? They…..are they happy?” She wasn’t even sure she’d get an answer, or if she wanted to know. Until this very moment, she han’t given a thought to Olly being anything more than an occasional lover, or even just a one night stand. Her eyes slid over to Olly, really looking at him, watching him interact with this T’Shan.
It was eventually decided that they would be leaving, right now, and Olly opened a portal behind them, stepping towards it. Ada stepped in the opposite direction, pulling herself together and looking at T’Shan, not as a younger sister, but as a Queen to a King, equals.
”Do you treat them well?” She meant the people of Wakanda. She knew the answer wouldn’t actually matter in the end. She would leave and never come back. Once he answered she turned and followed Olly back through the portal, leaning over to whisper, ”Does it lead to my bed?”
Olly was fine being ignored. It'd be weirder if she didn't want to ask any questions. Olly opened the portal and simply waited patiently. He knew for her he'd wait centuries. He knew she was worth it and in the grand scheme it would pay off.
'They are quite happy S'Fada. Recently celebrated a third anniversary. Or at least I trust they're happy, or I told him I would take his other eye.'
He said with a smile. This T'Shan was just like her. Behaved differently when it was just them. He made jokes and had fun. Of course he'd been adamant that he didn't like other versions in his palace. It wasn't negotiable, this universe was just for them.
'I treat them quite well, as well as you do S'Fada. Now go.'
He said before turning and leaving. Once S'Fada came into the portal he grabbed her around the waist. He fell back onto her bed, with her on top of him.
"It leads to A bed, pretty sure it's yours...."
Olly said with a laugh before seizing her lips in a kiss. He wrapped his arms around her before rolling her over with a playful smile. He then resumed his work on her neck, what he'd been doing when he was interrupted. He'd been with many women but this was entirely different, not just because she was a Queen and a demi-god. He loved or cared for the mothers of his other children but in all his future travels he'd learned S'Fada was special.
Some time later they were both laying there. His sword was buried in the back of the door, thrown when someone had tried to interrupt them.
"I should probably apologize to her...."
He said with a laugh before giving her a quick kiss.
