After the apparent deaths of Lydia and T'Shan, Olly had spent a couple hours trying to explain everything, well everything he could without giving too much of the time line away. Of course the threats and constantly ducking punches didn't make explaining it any easier. But eventually he'd gotten it out. They would be back in 49 hours. However to T'Shan and Lydia it would be much longer, closer to a month. Olly had spoken to SHIELD and gotten them to set up a quarantine area for the returning Lydia and T'Shan. He knew no one would like it and he was still fairly certain he'd get a bullet to the back of the head in some alley when this was done, but he didn't care. His death, while troubling wouldn't do too much to mess with the time line. On the one hand he knew he's lived long enough anyways. People were trying to gather around as the people in Hazmat suits milled around and kept watching an 'X' on the sidewalk. A timer had been set up next to it that was counting down. The plastic tent over head was making everyone warm. Well that and the nerves likely weren't helping. He just hoped he had the time right. He knew if it took too long he'd end up dead. Wouldn't be the first time an angry person had threatened him because of some family member. Everyone was in a Hazmat suit, something he'd been clear of. The atmosphere would be toxic for most people, with the exception of a few. People like himself, T'Shan, Lydia and S'Fada. Olly was fine as he'd already been exposed to it. A fact they once again hadn't been thrilled with, but he would defend his decision until his death, which may be in a minute or so. He noticed a few suited SHIELD agents with assault rifles and couldn't help but suspect they were more for him than anything following T'Shan and Lydia. "Make sure the gurney and med teams are ready. The Quarantine rooms are on stand by and you can talk to them there. The world they're coming from is very different and very deadly. Nearly everything has evolved to make people like Superman rest at the bottom of the food chain. Now here we go in 3....2....1...." The timer hit zero and he could feel everyone tense up. Nothing happened and he eyed the gunman suspiciously. He mentally shifted his hip, feeling the sword and gun on his body, ready to be drawn should SHIELD or the Avengers seek their misguided revenge. Then the portal opened, the same one people had seen Olly come through countless times. "Oh your god. Whew, beginning to think I was off. A few seconds seems fine though...." ----------------------------------------------------------------------- A 12 year old Olly had been hopping around time and exploring when he had encountered T'Shan and Lydia. By the look of them they'd been there for sometime. Between T'Shan's tattered clothes, facial hair and both of their generally dirty look and unkempt hair. He'd gone to introduce himself but been greeted by his name. He was quite confused but after a brief explanation he understood everything. He could take them home. Sadly his accuracy wasn't as good as it would become in later years. As the three walked towards where they'd come into this time line spirits were up. They were going home, it would be good again. T'Shan enjoyed Lydia and her company however he missed his friends and sister. They'd helped each other in ways neither likely, fully understood. As they walked they heard a loud roar, the massive bird was back and angry. The three took off to a run as Olly opened the portal in front of them. As they ran a flower popped up, seemingly out of nowhere, right in front of T'Shan and released a puff of yellow pollen. T'Shan coughed loudly before collapsing. "Grab him Lydia, we haven't got much time. I can't keep the portal open forever." He said helping to pick T'Shan up as best a 12 year old could. They ran and dove for the portal, making it through just as it closed, the tip of the bird's talon coming with them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Alright this is what I told you all to be ready for. Med team get T'Shan into the chamber. He needs to be scrubbed, intibated and given time. Lydia needs to be scrubbed, all of their clothes burned, and the ashes vaporized. That and just a general cleaning wouldn't hurt anyways. You all need to wait. The pollen and microbes on their skin won't do you any favors." He said trying to relax everyone even though he knew it would likely be useless. Olly turned and looked at his 12 year old self, giving a wave and a smile. "A pink mohawk? Man I become a douche...." The 12 year old Olly said before disappearing into another portal. Tags: Aileen Barton, Helen Danvers, James Barnes Jr, Marty Jordan, @blackpanther, Virginia "Ginnie" Stark

T'Shan and Lydia had been, where ever they were, for close to a month now. Things were going alright so far, in the grand scheme of things. Both of their powers had massively amplified. Lydia could fly and emit enough energy to vaporize, well anything. T'Shan's strength meanwhile had likely surpassed his father's and may be in the Superman/Captain Marvel realm. He'd lifted a bird that made Fin Fang Foom look like a simple pigeon. Ever since that they'd been mostly fine. Just spending time together, talking and surviving. They'd managed to take over a small cave near a stream which had become their home. The predators no longer went near them, viewing them as more dangerous threats.
Surprisingly they'd even encountered Skugga and Admiral Fluffy paws, still alive and still roaming the planet. He was getting water when he picked up a familiar scent and noticed a young Olly walking towards them. Yes he lacked the audacity that was his pink mohawk but T'Shan knew him anywhere. Now they were going home, Olly was taking care of them.
"It will be good to get home and actually shower again."
T'Shan said before he heard the roar. The large bird creature was coming back. T'Shan may have been able to throw him but he couldn't kill it.
"We must move quickly."
He said, quickly moving to a run. He noticed the portal pop up ahead of them but didn't see the trap door flower he'd come to call it. It popped up ahead of him and sprayed him with a dose of its pollen. He tried to fight it off but only made it two steps before collapsing and everything went black.
-----------------------------------------------
Now back home hew was placed on a gurney, Skugga landing near by trying to pretend he wasn't as concerned as he truly was. The people in hazmat suits began to intibate him, getting air into his lungs.
Suddenly T'SHan was in a room of pure white. Walking towards him was his father. The two hugged and just as Thor was about to speak T'Shan was pulled from the room and began to cough. His connection and focus on his pendant has been broken. T'Shan tried to sit up as the SHIELD agents failed to keep him down.
'T'Shan, you need to relax. They're trying to help you. You're ok now.'
"Aye...."
he said as the tube was removed from his throat as a nasal cannula was placed on him. Her looked around and noticed his friends as well as Lydia also being put in a quarantine room similar to the one he was entering. Then he noticed S'Fada and gave a smile as Skugga entered the room with him. They tried to remove him but one swipe from his talons had them backing off.
'Where he goes I go.'

Home. Lydia hadn't so much given up on trying to get there as she had refocused on trying to survive where her and T'Shan were now. Everything had been trying to kill them at one time or another and even though they had carved out a little piece of territory for themselves and were generally left alone while inside it, wander outside it and they were instant targets. Foraging had been done mostly through trial and error and they stopped trying new things after they found a few they could eat. Lydia didn't feel like pushing their luck.
She'd taken the time to get at least someone comfortable with her new powers, but the feeling that she would explode when using them, never really went away. She had, however, successfully learned how to turn it on and off at will. She'd also found out there was a time limit on it, which was a surprise to her. While it gave her a serious boost in power, she hoped she never had to fight anything that would take longer than she had to take down.
When T'Shan came back with Olly, Lydia nearly cried. They could get home now. And eat actual food. And see her friends and family. And sleep in an actual bed. She had grown used to living out here in the middle of some alien jungle, but that didn't mean she liked it.
"Screw the shower. I want a cheeseburger." Lydia smiled as they started to follow young Olly. OF course nothing ever goes smooth, why does it never go smooth? That stupid bird decided that then was a good time to come back and terrorize them. They started running until T'Shan got a face full of pollen, and Lydia wondered what else Murphy's law had in store for them. She picked up T'Shan, thinking briefly he wasn't as heavy as she expected, grabbing Olly by the collar as they ran and dove through the portal.
The pure elation of being back home was severely tempered by one of Lydia's most hated words: quarantine. She hated the isolation of quarantine when all she wanted to do was give her friends and family the biggest hugs she could. She didn't care that her hair was a hot mess or that she probably smelled horrendous, she just wanted to feel the solid brick wall that was her brother giving her a hug, or listen to Walt talk a million miles a minute. But instead she was in a room in spare SHIELD sweats, sitting on a gurney.
She knew why of course, she had unknown alien microbes that could take out half the world probably. She didn't know. But she also wasn't going to take that chance. So she let herself be stuck in a small space with it's own oxygen system while waiting for the all clear.
"Can I at least get a book or something? Or a cheeseburger while I wait? How long am I gonna be in here?"

James stood back watching. He nodded to members of the team, when Olly started giving orders. He'd reluctantly agree that this was the time traveler's show and had agreed to stand back in case help was needed. He made sure that they were both securely put into quarantine and safe. He looked at the younger version of Olly and nodded.
"You really do, kid. You should work on that. Still time."
He hadn't really been sure how to take the last week or so. He'd gone from believing Lydia was dead and trying to avenge her and T'Shan, to learning that his friend and little sister were alive and well in a possible future. He'd spent some time trying to get everything set up. He'd flown Marty out from Central City and sent a text to Walt. Though he knew he and Flash weren't on the best of terms, he knew it was a start. He let Phil make a call to Carol Danvers, still getting resettled in the city thanks to the boys.
"I'll have them get you a tablet or something to read on. Less chance that you'll put some kind of outbreak on it. I'm not dealing with that this week too. You get to be the monkey behind the glass for at least 48 hours or longer. Cheese wants to make sure that you're both good." James gave her a smile.
"You look good for a dead girl." James put his hand against the glass. "I'm glad you made through, squirt. I wasn't looking forward to being an only child again. I had no one to shift the blame on anymore."
He turned to see a SHIELD agent admit Martin Jordan. James knew this was going to be an awkward thing. He looked at Marty and the sack with the cheeseburger, fries and milkshake in it. "You can just phase it through, Marty. Your ring can..." James paused. "I'm sorry. I forgot." He gestured to an Agent. "Get that food transported into the cell ASAP." He looked at the two of them and scratched his head, looking over at the partition separating Lydia and T'Shan's isolation sections. "I'm going to go see how T'Shan is doing. I think Aileen and Ginnie are over there now."
The super soldier stepped through the curtain and looked at the Asgardian behind the glass. "I feel like we should charge for admission. At this rate, we'd make enough money to pay for T'Shan's hair styling bills." He flashed a smile to T'Shan and his teammates. "You're looking pretty spry for a dead guy. Nice to see you managed to come back in one piece."

The trip had been interesting. After his return from the past, Marty had been abducted by the Guardians of the Universe and unceremoniously dropped off back in his apartment. James had made some calls to him and Walt and explained what was going on. Marty had a few explanations of his own to make. Then James sent a Quinjet to get him and rush him back to New York City. Lydia's Super soldier brother was nice enough to make arrangements with Ginnie Stark and got Marty to stay in one of the spare rooms in Avenger's Tower.
He was late to her and T'Shan's reappearance because he had to figure his way around the subway system for the city. But he'd managed to stop and get a burger meal from her favorite place and then showed up to the address he was given. His information was verified and he was cleared and escorted in by a SHIELD Agent. Marty nodded to James and looked at Lydia behind the glass. He heard what James said about phasing the food and shook his head, holding up the ring and James apologized.
The test pilot passed the food off to the SHIELD agent and Marty looked at Lydia. He smiled at her to reassure her. "I just got my ring and badge suspended. It's no big deal. I'm glad you're alive, Princess Sparklefists. I missed you." He took a deep breath and his memories came back. They hadn't been speaking when the incident happened. "I made some mistakes. I made a lot of mistakes. But it doesn't matter, because you're alive."
Marty gave her a smile again. "Walt's coming too. And we have a surprise guest for you. I'd tell you more about the suspension, but it's tied to the surprise. That should be here soon." He sent Walt and Carol texts asking for an ETA from both of them. He put the phone away and put his hands against the glass.
"No more stupid heroic self-sacrifices, huh?"

| COUNT:xxxTAG: namesOUTFIT: linkNOTES: blah blah | Ada had put on her finest Asgardian royal garb to meet her brother and Helen Danvers when they returned. She stayed at the back of the group, near @captain as everyone waited. The ticking away of the seconds seemed to be even longer than the actual time @thorson and Lydia had been missing. She could feel everyone, family, friends, agents, all tense up as the time Olly said they would come back hit, and then pass. The SHIELD agents shifted tensely as the seconds ticked away. She inched closer to Olly. Her hands were clasped in front of her as they all waited, nerves growing, tensions mounting, and emotions running high. She couldn’t stop the gasp that escaped her lips as a portal opened and a young Olivier stepped through with T’Shan and Lydia. She could feel the tears welling in her eyes, but she couldn’t let her emotions run away with her. She watched as everyone else went to greet the returnees. S’Fada slipped her hand into Olly’s giving it a thankful squeeze before moving toward T’Shan. She stopped in front of the glass. She had to smile when Skugga forced his way into the room. Ada would be patient, and wait until they gave the all clear to go in, but her skin was itching, nearly crawling to just burst in there and hug him until he pushed her away. For now, she would wait, behind the glass, but she did press her hand to the glass, moving her fingers over the glass, waving at him. It took all her control to not break down in front of everyone. | [img alt="" src="" style="max-width:100%;border-width:5px;border-right-style:onset;border-bottom-style:outset;"] |

Walt saw the text from James. He sighed and smiled, turning to the woman beside him, about to speak.
Then Walt saw the text from Marty and was at his side about just as quickly, after a hasty "Be right back" to the woman in his father's Central City apartment.
Eyeing the bag in Marty's hand, Walt smiled. "You're too kind." Then he raised his own hand and lifted a massive bulk bag of burgers. Smiling at his newly-civilian partner, Walt dipped into his own cache and started chewing. "Gotcha covered."
Then he noticed the glass cage that Lydia and T'Shan in their glass cages. "The hell is this?!" Walt erupted through a mouthful of processed beef. Tossing his sandwich back into his bag, Walt brushed his hands together and approached Lydia in her cage. He smiled and laid a hand on his Marty's shoulder.
"Marty's right," Walt said gently. "He made a lot of mistakes. Absolutely ghastly work. Lucky I was there." He smiled more sincerely. "I really missed you, Blondie." He lifted the bag. "Brought you sammies," he finished lamely.
Walt turned to the other individuals in the room impatiently and spoke casually.
"So what are we talking? Nanites? Cholera? Zombie plague? Doesn't matter. The moment's too perfect." Then, ignoring protests, Walt began to vibrate and moved through the glass, hugging the bag of burgers tightly to his chest. A blurry speedster dropped them at Lydia's feet, maintaining a frequency that (he guessed) would prevent infection from whatever hypothetical contaminants Lydia might be carrying. Then he embraced her closely, but not so tightly as to misalign her insides. Then he held her at arm's length, still an abstract pallet of crimson in his Flash hoodie, and smiled.
"Lydia Danvers," Walt started, his voice wavering as he did, "Marty and I have a surprise for you."
Walt reappeared at Marty's side, dragging him back to his apartment. Carol Danvers stood from the living room couch as soon as she saw the boys appear. "Do you always leave people hanging like that?" she asked.
"What am I, Spider-Man?" Walt quipped, and then wrapped an arm around each of the two others, and set off to return Carol to her daughter.
