Alright, we need an actual President, not just a nameless, faceless person. This will be a two part poll, potentially.

You know who my suggestion is for this one xD Because, like you, I can definitely see Tony running for president.

I gotta go for the woman who tried to have Captain America arrested by mere SHIELD agents and then lost her post to the guy who lost it to an insane criminal, Maria Hill

I suggest Black King Sebastian Shaw. Part owner of Shaw-Oscorp, plus there'd just be some fun and interesting aspects.

Okay so, not placing a vote because I have a further suggestion. Basically the first option, except with a close but not quite right version of Trump's name. Then we have an anti-mutant, anti-alien, anti-woman president in power. If something happened to him during the apocalypse storyline, then we'd have a martyr for anti-mutant, anti-alien, anti-woman causes. And given that that sort of climate is a lot of the premise of lots of different comic characters, I think that could lead on naturally to various different sorts of story line eventually, all of which should be pretty interesting. I mean, I wouldn't plan for any specifically but that's why it'd be good; there'd be a lot of space for different variants of a sort of sudden oppression story line going on afterwards, especially if it were exacerbated by the Apocalypse story line just from the sheer destruction which is bound to happen anyway. Otherwise I would still vote for option 1 as it gives us an opportunity to write under an oppressive regime which is where superheroes/villains seem to be most interesting imo. Yes, I did deliberately wait until after the election to say my thoughts here.

The problem with basing it off of a real person is the fact that we will have to make some assumptions about their views. With this election having been so emotional and ugly, you may well offend people with the interpretation you choose. With a fictional person you are free to take them as far left, right, up or down as you want.
