(Note: This story takes place before Adam's time as Death)
Somewhere on Manhattan...
The young Titan looked from the paper map in his hands once more and up to the building in front of himself, then back to the map. Then cast his gaze around several more times until he was able to find a street sign. All in all the effort took only a few seconds, actually a shorter time than the groan of annoyance he let out as he tried to fold the map back up in his hands. The San Francisco demi-native (well, he HAD lived in New York once, ages ago) eventually gave up on that endeavor as well and simply began folding it haphazardly until it could fit into his pocket.
He was off from his intended destination, but not so badly as to make the entire endeavor pointless. "At least I'm in the right borough." Adam conceded to himself after several moments and stuffing his hands into his pockets. The whole trip was quickly proving that, perhaps, he'd greatly over-estimated his abilities to navigate cities that weren't San Francisco... still, it had seemed like a good idea at the time. Only recently had Adam discovered that there was an actual Shaolin Temple branch in New York, more to the point it was headed by a real monk at that... and most promisingly: it had somehow survived the battle eight years ago.
Naturally, he'd wanted to spend a few days there to train. Getting permission from his mother had been difficult (borderline impossible, honestly. He was burning up a lot of favors getting this far) but at least he'd managed to work out a place to stay with Ted Grant. The old boxer had considered it an excellent idea to let the boy learn some other tricks.
But now, he realized, he'd very nearly missed his window of opportunity to reach the temple for the day... and sight seeing was never a bad idea, right? "And I'm NOT telling Mr. Grant that I was aiming for Lower Manhattan and wound up near Times Square." The boy added to himself, shaking his head vigorously before he started walking once again, careful to avoid the throngs of people milling about. He wasn't quite sure what he wanted to do, though. Maybe figure out which 'Famous Ray's Original Pizza' really WAS the original?
It was hard to really decide where to start with New York, but as if it was an omen or lazy writing a flyer drawn by the breeze slapped the youngster in his face, startling him from his reverie. The paper in question was an advertisement for 'Discovery Times Square'.
Limited time showing, mysteries of the Mediterranean exhibit!
Featuring the Bow of Apollo!
"...Really? They're just advertising that?" He asked, not even bothering to read the rest of the flyer, except what he needed to find the address, hoping he could locate THIS building at least. "I mean, that's basically asking Wonder Woman's villains to show up and try to steal it..."
(OOC: After much back and forth, it's finally here! ...And terrible. But hopefully it'll get better!)
