Equipment and Weapons:
Kid Flash Costume:While Barry originally wore the titular yellow and red Kid Flash costume when he first took up the mantle, he has since updated the look. He sees himself as more of a "Flash" then being just Kid Flash. As such his costume is now a deep crimson, opting not to copy his fathers scarlet costume. The cowl still matches his old one, being open on top instead of completely closed off. He has also opted to replace the armored areas and instead has had the entire suit enhanced with a tri-weave kevlar/carbon fiber lace. The upgrade can stop a knife blade with ease and can even stop a bullet so long as it isn't a point blank shot. The suit is also flame resistant should he run up against the occasional fire baddy. Beyond that the suit is still resistant to friction and can still be worn for long periods of time without any risk of wear. Also, to further differentiate himself from his father and cousin, the accents around Barry's costume are silver. This also matches his now silver lightning that denotes his new levels of command over the Speed Force. He also has opted to keep the stealth function so by pressing the emblem on his chest the entire suit will take a black/grey hue.
Goggles: Like the previous Kid Flash's, Barry wears goggles to protect his eyes from debris while running (even though he doesn't need them). The goggles also have light/radiation wavelength detection and thermal imaging capabilities.
Flash Ring: Barry's Flash Ring is a small ring with a spring-loaded opening. The ring is used to compress and conceal his costume while operating in civilian life. To open it, Barry presses a small button on the side and the top of the ring opens, releasing the costume (which is chemically treated to shrink). This allows Barry to change clothes at super-speed.
Powers:
Speed Force Conduit: The Speed Force is a vaguely defined extra-dimensional energy force from which most speedsters draw their powers. Being that his father is the very source and creator of the Speed Force, Barry can not only tap into the Speed Force with no effort at all, he has also been gifted with some qualities that other speedsters may not have. Like his father, he is unaffected if any other speedster tries to steal or drain his speed. He is also faster than most of the Kid Flashes that came before him and, much like his father, will most likely become one of the fastest beings to ever exist when he gets older. He is currently fast enough to break almost all of the barriers if he focuses but has never tried to enter the Speed Force itself due to the risk of not making it out, on top of he is unsure he is actually fast enough. While he could reach speeds higher, he does not chance going beyond Mach 10, since he was told that speeds above that level are catastrophic to the environment. If trained correctly, however, odds are he could likely reach any speed he can imagine, and more.
Accelerated Healing: Like other speedsters, Barry is not invulnerable nor durable enough to sustain damage however if he is harmed he will heal at very high speeds. Any normal wear and tear damage to his body is almost instantly healed.
Decelerated Aging: As with other conduits, Barry has a slower aging process. This power can be imparted on their most intimate loved ones by extended contact rather than distribution. Much like how his mother gained it from his father.
Energy Construct Creation: Like other conduits, Barry can use the matter generated by his speed to create solid objects such as walls or bridges. This power requires constant concentration and reapplication of the construct for it to remain stable. While he can do this, Barry still has trouble keeping the constructs solid for very long.
Flight: Barry can rotate his arms and spin his body like a top to achieve something of a kind of helicopter flight. With practice some conduits can even achieve controllable flight if launched at high speeds. Despite this ability, he will always faster on his feet.
Increased Perceptions: Since he is almost always traveling at the speed of sound, Barry may miss important events as he runs by. The Speed Force however, has granted him enhanced senses that allow him to see, hear, smell, touch, and even taste at an increased speed and understand it as it is processed.
Infinite Mass Punch: Thanks to the Speed Force, Barry has an increased level of strength added to his body which he can impart in many different ways. While he could ad strength to each and every move he makes, this would require attention and stress for each movement and thus is almost never used. However, Barry can focus the Speed Force's extra-dimensional energies into one massive punch that. This type of punch has been known to push people from one continent to another. Barry though, can currently only build up enough power to knock an enemy several city blocks.
Phasing: Barry, like most conduits, can vibrate his molecules so quickly that he can achieve intangibility for short bursts allowing him to phase through objects.
Self-Sustenance: Barry is able to travel at incredible speeds which causes his body to work overtime. In situations where his body may be too fast for him to breathe he can draw on the Speed Force for sustenance. However, this results in Barry having an increased metabolism at all times which requires him to constantly refill his energy supplies.
Sharing the Force: Through the Speed Force, Barry is able to allow his friends and family to run along side him at equal speeds. He can also help other conduits who's access to the force may only be minor and grant them full levels of the Force.
Speed Force Aura: Those who are propelled by Barry during high speed situations can survive the harsh conditions associated with mach speeds due to being protected within his aura.
Speed Force Conduit: Due to Barry's connection to the Speed Force he is a Speed Force Conduit. This means that he is connected to the Speed Force and is tethered to it.
Steal Speed: One of Barry's lesser used abilities due to his still learning what he can do. However, to some degree he is able to steal the accelerated motion or momentum from objects or people to reduce their speed or even virtually stop them. He could, in theory, also used this ability to steal speed from other Speedsters or other fast moving people.
Supercharged Brain Activity: Unlike some Speedsters that neglect this ability, Barry uses the full potential of this gift. Thanks to the Speed Force Barry is able to access superhuman levels in his brain beyond just processing information. He can test theories, understand difficult equations and run trial and error in his brain at superhuman speeds.
Superhuman Stamina: Like most Speedsters, Barry uses his superhuman speed and reacts at superhuman speeds, therefore, he must run for extended periods or operate for a large amount of time. His body is able to handle the stresses of superhuman racing without noticeable distress.
Superhuman Speed: As a Speed Force Conduit Barry has one main ability above all else. He is connected to the barrier and accumulation of all Speed known in the universe (even more so as the child of the Source). Since he could walk he was able to immediately understand how to run at superhuman speeds and his body instinctively understands how to react at high-speed situations. As Barry is reaching his prime he is slowly able to move at faster and faster speeds, being able to reach the speed of Light with enough willpower. The faster he gets, however, the higher the level of stress upon him so he must be careful to not reach the point of slipping into the Speed Force.
Vortex Creations: If Barry plants himself on the ground and rotate his extremities he can cause an incredible amount of wind to burst through a focused funnel. He tends to use this ability automatically when he runs to reduce the air currents around his body to low enough levels to no longer inhibit his speed. He could also create tornadoes and gusts with his arms if he wanted to.
Skills:
Super Speed Reading: Barry is capable of reading at superhuman rates, accumulating mass amounts of knowledge in seconds. However, unlike his father, and information he gathers this way he is actually able to retain.
Eidetic Memory: A gift that neither of his parents really know how he came about gaining, Barry is able to remember everything and anything he sees or reads. This coupled with his speed reading makes learning a stupidly simple task.
High IQ: Some would consider Barry a genius but he himself stops short of calling himself that. While he's never taken an IQ test he does know that his IQ is rather high and way above average. However, he tends to give credit to his ability to remember everything he reads more so than to his overall general intellect.
Polymath: One of the other things he's picked up from his father is his love to the forensic sciences, criminology and chemistry. Using his speed reading skills, and his eidetic memory, Barry has become well versed in forensic pathology, criminology, criminal psychology, and chemistry. Beyond that he has taken it upon himself to learn computer forensics, computer hacking to a degree, and computer engineering.
Telepathic Immunity: One of the perks with having supercharged everything is the aspect of his supercharged mind that imparts telepathic immunity upon him. Because his mind is always moving at a mile a second, so to speak, anyone attempting to read his mind will be unable to keep up with his thoughts and thus be unable to read or control his mind.
Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
1.) I'm So Hungry!: The main weakness for almost any speedster, at least ones like those in the Flash Family, is their supercharged metabolism. This causes Barry to need to constantly eat large amounts of food in order to keep his energy up. The amount also increases the longer he goes without eating while using his speed. While he can draw on the Speed Force to keep him going, he can only do so for a short time before he NEEDS to eat or he will be unable to use his speed.
2.) The Best There Ever Will Be: A down side to being the son of the most well known Flash and also the Source of the Speed Force, is that Barry can be a bit full of himself from time to time. Especially when it comes to fighting or stopping the bad guy. Barry sees himself as the next best thing and as such can get himself into a lot of trouble when he starts to bite off more than he can chew. Even worse is that he will never admit to this fault and it has gotten him pretty beat up on several occasions.
3.) The Allen Family Secret: As with most superheroes, Barry has to keep his identity a secret from the outside world. This is one of his most important weaknesses because if it were to get out that he was Kid Flash, well the rest of his family and his friends could be in danger and that is something he'd never want for them.

THE REST
Personality:
Barry isn't what one would expect from someone as smart as he is or as learned as he is. Due to his youth and his abilities Barry is prone to being goofy and a bit of a jokester. While he knows when to turn it off and be serious, he still tends to bring that lightheartedness into any of his fights. Over all, the main thing to know about Barry is that he almost never takes anything seriously unless he absolutely needs to.
On top of everything else, Barry is still very much a teenager. His hormones are raging just like any other teenager and much like kids his age, he tends to think he's immortal. He also tends to run his mouth a bit when he's in costume in an attempt to impress the ladies, though it doesn't always work out like he plans. Finally, he tends to like to take trinkets after a fight is over if he can get away with it, though this doesn't happen often, but when it does he has a spot in his room that acts as a sort of trophy case. Over all, put plainly, Barry is above all else a teenager.
History:
Bartholomew William Allen, the son of the fastest man alive, the Scarlet Speedster himself, was born sixteen years ago on a wonderful summer afternoon. His father, Barry Allen, and his mother Iris had finally had their first child together. While the two were older than most would have assumed possible to have a child, the Speed Force works wonders on a person when it comes to aging and thus the two were still very much able to have a child. With the son of Wally West taking up the mantle of The Flash, Barry felt it was time to retire for good and raise his son right. However, he would soon find out that normal wasn't something that the Allen family was ever really good at.
Being that Barry is the live Source of the Speed Force itself, something in the back of his mind told him that his son would end up being a Speedster, how couldn't he? Sure enough, once the younger Allen was able to walk it was almost impossible to stop him from running. While his speed wasn't even close to what some would deem 'super human' at the time, he was much faster than he should have been. It was as if his father had seen it coming all along and it didn't take long for young Barry to begin getting faster and faster. Being born of the Speed Force itself, the young Barry found it almost natural to run at speeds beyond that of any normal human. His mind, naturally spinning faster than anyone, allowed him to take in information at a higher rate.
Beyond all that, when Barry turned 5 it came to light that he was also gifted with an eidetic memory, something that neither of his parents knew was in their genetics. His father even suggested that it may have been a gift from the Speed Force itself. Either way, the young Allen was showing that he was much smarter than any other child his age, couple that with his almost uncanny ability to already control several aspects of his growing powers, his father felt that they had themselves a prodigy and knew that he had to do his best to train his son, and train him he did. As Barry grew up, aside from his school work that all but became trivial to him, his father would take him out running so he could develop his powers with someone who knew exactly what he was going through. By the time he was 10 he had already learned to surpass what those who would wear the Kid Flash mantle could do when they took up the mask. It was incredible but it didn't come as a surprise to his father.
Life went on and Barry soon found himself testing out of grades in school, managing to make his way into Central City High at the age of 12. Taking all of the Honors courses he could and even some of the more advanced pre-college courses Barry set himself on a path to not only graduate by 16, but also prepared himself to join his father on the Central City Police Dept. in the Crime Lab, which his father was the Director of. However, in that time he also took up the mantle of Kid Flash, joining his cousin Walter who was the current Flash. Now, at the age of 16, Barry is out of High School and while he can't join the CCPD just yet, he still plans on fighting along side his cousin as Kid Flash as well as continue his training to see just how fast he really can be.

Sample RP:
Barry yawned as his eyes began to open. He was asleep at his desk in his room, apparently having fallen asleep while studying. He was pulling an all-nighter in preparation for one of his Honors Chemistry classes. He decided he'd read at a normal pace instead of speed reading just because he didn't want to cheapen the experience. However, looking at the book only a few pages in, he realized that may have been a mistake on his part. Shaking his head and clearing his eyes he looked over at his alarm clock and mate note of the time. "Oh it's only 7:28... Wait...7:28! Oh crap, oh crap, oh crap..."
With that Barry turned back to his book and kicked his speed reading into high gear, finishing the entire book, twice, in just under 30 seconds. Slamming the book closed he found his way into the shower and literally took a 'quick' shower, another 30 seconds... 7:29, he only had one minute to get to school before he'd end up being late and he was -never- late. Finishing the shower Barry was a blur, running back to his room and getting dressed. Grabbing his backpack he turned and took off towards Central City High.
He was lucky that his Homeroom was right next to the boys room as he was able to make a b-line right for it. With only a few seconds to spare the halls were empty and as he entered and turned right around to exit he turned the corner and entered the class right as the bell rang. The teacher looked at him and narrowed her eyes upon him. "Mr. Allen, glad you could join us... You're lucky you made it in before the bell... Now take your seat." Barry smirked and quickly found his seat before grabbing two granola bars and quickly scarfing them down. His perfect attendance was still in tact, just how he liked it...
