Walt chuckled without really hearing what the kid said. It was just easier that way. Without warning, he grabbed the Trickster's arm.
"And a-waaaaayyy..." Walt halted in his exaggerated motion.
He yawned. Finishing, he shot a guilty, flat expression at the villain.
"Sorry. Hungry."
When Walt and Tricky reappeared, Walt held the other by the collar of his shirt to keep him still. They lay that way on a grated walkway hanging above a large, dimly-lit room. Beneath them stood a convocation of men standing before a man in a black suit, who stood speaking at a podium. As the Flash and Trickster hid, the man rolled out a large display covered by a sheet. Before the man on the stage could remove it, Walt leaned in and whispered to his companion.
"WayneTech. Calling it. Probably a Tesla cannon prototype. Used for nonviolent and immediate incapacitation of humans and metas."
The man running the show removed the sheet and proceeded to rattle off a nearly-exact description of the tech while Walt stared at Tricky with a humorous, flat-mouthed expression.
As the auctioneer began the bidding, Walt resumed whispering while laying on his stomach. By this time he had released his hold on Tricky, and used his two free hands to gesture composedly as he spoke.
"Now, the really good part about being a good guy is that you're stealing from bad guys, so, like... it's cool. And you know what else?" Walt looked Tricky straight in the eyes in anticipation of a response... but only for a second. Then he leaped down into the crowd.
Upon his landing, and in the midst of the rapid reaction of the men around him, Walt shot up his empty hands, his face panicked.
"I surrender!!" Walt's face changed from fearful to eager in one fractured second.
"Just joking." And then he set about his business.
