Equipment and Weapons:
Powers:
Super Strength: At her current capacity, Helen has the ability to lift upwards of 50 tons, easily lifting and tossing around cars and tanks and tearing through inches thick steel like it was paper with her bare hands.
Super Speed: Helen has the ability move at supersonic speeds, making her literally too fast for the human eye to follow. She can achieve speeds of at least Mach-3 during atmospheric flight and has the mostly untested capability to hit even greater velocities when the need arises.
Super Agility: Helen possesses great superhuman agility and reflexes to compliment her superhuman speed. She can perform acrobatic feats far beyond that of the finest human athlete and easily evade bullet-speed projectiles
Flight: Helen can fly at speeds of at least Mach-3 in the atmosphere. She is a highly agile flier and can turn on a dime in midair, even while traveling at great velocity.
Super Stamina: Helen can exert herself at maximum effort for up to 24 hours before tiring.
Invulnerability: She is impervious to most forms of damage and can absorb a tremendous amount of punishment without injury. She can survive unharmed in the cold vacuum of space. She is bullet-proof and such attacks merely bounce off her skin on contact. More powerful attacks such as rockets, mortar shells, and bombs are only slightly more effectual, due to the fact that she can absorb their explosive energy. She is unfazed by blows delivered from opponents weaker than her and can withstand blows even by those who are stronger, though continuous and repeated hits by opponents of such great strength can eventually wear her down.
Energy Projection: Captain Marvel can generate extremely powerful photon blasts. If she has absorbed a great amount of energy, Helen can generate even stronger energy blasts. One of her favorite tricks though, is to fire small blasts from her index finger, with which she's become very accurate.
Energy Absorbtion: She has the ability to absorb a variety of energy and use it to power up her own blasts and redirect the energy if need be. Some energies are more easily absorbed than others. Kinetic, nuclear, and electric energies are easiest, magical energies are more difficult yet still possible.
Minor Molecular Control: Helen possesses a limited degree of molecular control, which she can use to transform regular clothing into her Captain Marvel costume and vice versa.
Skills:
Skilled Martial Artist: Carol and Kyle had started to train her, but Coulson trained Helen to fight like she meant it. Coulson, being paranoid about his charge and knowing Carol had had her powers removed before, trained her because he didn't want her to rely on powers alone. Though she prefers kickboxing and boxing, she's trained in Judo and Aikido.
Skilled Marksman: Coulson taught Helen how to handle basic handguns and how to shoot. She's best with her own photonic blasts but knows her way around a gun.
Survivalist: Coulson taught her how to survive out in the wild, preparing her for any eventuality. She knows how to start a fire, make a shelter, hunt, set traps etc in case she ever found herself stranded on this or any other planet.
Skilled Pilot: Like her mother, if it has an engine, she can fly it. She was learning how to fly while she was still learning how to walk. She has several licenses both commercial and private.
Smarty Pants: While not at a genius level IQ, Helen is deceptively smart. Because of her personality, most people think she's just a pretty face but she picks up on things and can surprise most people with her knowledge and insight.
Photography: Helen is a shutterbug. She loves to take pictures of people, things, places, you name it. She's quite good at it too. Enough so she's considered taking a major in photojournalism.
Sketch artist: Helen, like her father, is rather good with sketching down what she sees or drawing whatever comes from the top of her head. She likes drawing, likes the focus it gives her, but she never has the patience to finish it to completion.
Baking: She bakes when she's upset. Something about the precise, methodical actions calms her down.
Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
Fool me once: Helen is very trusting, which can get her into trouble. She likes to give everyone the benefit of doubt, even when that person is clearly going to betray her trust.
Kid Gloves: she calls it her actual mutant power, the ability to become the "kid sister" to most people. Even though she hits harder than a Mac truck, people still tend to treat her like a kid or want to protect her from everything when she should be protecting them. This causes people to underestimate or undervalue her and her abilities. On the upside, god help you if you make her cry.
Young Gun: Helen is new to the Superhero game and she's out to prove herself. She wants more than anything to be accepted for what she knows she can do. This leads her to be overconfident and cocky.
Bull headed:: Helen has a stubborn streak a mile wide and it can keep her from admitting she was wrong or that her way isn't always the best way.
Selective vocabulary: Helen has a hard time saying no, wanting people to like her and fearing if she says no, they won't be friends anymore. It has gotten her in more than her fair share of trouble.
No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die:Near-invulnerability does not equal immortal. Helen is still partially human, despite her superhuman abilities, and can be killed just like anyone else. It just takes a hell of a lot more to take down Captain Marvel than it would an Average Joe
Big bada boom: Helen can be overloaded with high energy attacks which would cause her to explode with the force of a nuclear bomb
FAMILY:
Mother: Carol “Captain Marvel” Danvers
Father: Kyle “Green Lantern” Rayner
Adopted father/Guardian:
Siblings: None yet
Children: none
Extended family: None
THE REST[/u][/b]
Personality: She was never one for her first name. Helen. It's just such an old name, and not one she heard very often. She started going by her middle name in middle school and never really stopped. Instead of lashing out like a normal kid when her parents died, she put on a facade. She would be happy. She would smile. No one knew that her parents had been heroes. No one could know that they had died for all the world to see. So she dove into school and tried to adjust to life with Coulson, but he knew how bad she was hurting. She sometimes tries to hide her troubles behind a giant smile, burying everything deep down until she's alone or she can't take the pressure any more. She knows she has big shoes to fill, following in her mother's footsteps, and she knew she couldn't dwell on being sad or morose over the loss of her parents. She has to make them proud.
If you sat back and quietly observed Helen, you could see her mind is always working, taking in the world and the information it has to offer and how it works. Just like her father, she sees things from a different angle than most people, seeing the potential things have. She has a creative soul which she expresses through her photography. She keeps some of her father's sketch books and has a few of her own filled with random sketches and studies
History:
Carol Danvers had always wanted to go to space. She wanted to explore the big wide open. Of course she had been in space before and come back to Earth, but the second time out, she noticed it was getting a little crowded in her sky. There was so much more out there now, so many more people fighting, people to help. And as she begun to notice, misery
acquaints a man with strange bedfellows. She ran into Kyle Rayner while trying to help out a planet being attacked by Skrulls, looking to expand their empire ever further. Having had her own fair share of run ins with Skrulls, Captain Marvel was more than equipped to help Kyle stave them off.
A strong relationship formed there, having found another person from Earth so far out in space and they stuck together even after returning from space. Once back, however, they found they were a bit too different for anything to last. The deal had been done though and Carol was pregnant. Kyle of course would not just leave Carol alone to raise Helen. He moved to New York to be close by when he could, when the Guardians didn't have him patrolling some far off sector. Carol stuck closer to home, rejoining the Avengers and raising Helen, even becoming the Avengers SHIELD liaison and becoming good friends with Director Coulson.
Of course everything changed during the battle. Coulson could sense something big was coming, the movement of villains was telling. He knew it was something big. So he asked Carol to go into space and bring back some old friends of hers. Carol put Coulson in charge of her daughter while she ran his errand, knowing full well the director had a full plate but it was a big favor to ask with Kyle also off planet.
Captain Marvel came back with the cavalry hot on her heels, having grabbed the Green Lantern Corps after notifying Kyle and contacting the Novas along the way. Helen, like the rest of the world, got to see the fight play out on on TV. Phil had her stashed away from the battle, knowing it would more than likely get messy and he didn't want her anywhere near the fallout. So, with a slew of agents, she got to watch as Thanos crushed her father's skull in his big, meaty fist, and her mother, trying to fight off Darkseid, failing to absorb his Omega Sanction and apparently obliterated in the process.
That can do a lot to a nine year old. She shut down totally for a month. Didn't talk, mostly slept and barely ate anything. But Coulson took care of her. That had been Carol's last request. And he'd fulfill it. There was a lot of rebuilding to be done after the battle in New York, but helped her rebuild too. Gently coaxing her back into the world. Work and home life were kept completely separate for awhile until she got older and her powers started growing. Then he started using both his contacts and his facilities available to make sure she got the right type of training for control.
Phil was loathe to let her actually superhero, even with her powers. But he couldn't keep her locked down forever. So when she was 16, he agreed to let her be a Teen Titan and work her way up to an Avengers membership. Currently she still is a Titan, but has moved back home to pursue college.

Lydia had been waiting for this day pretty much all her life. She actually got to suit up and join the heroes. Phil had given her the go ahead. He just had something to give her first. She waited patiently in the backyard, adjusting her costume one final time, several times, with what little molecular control she had. She took a deep breath when she heard the back door slide open and settled on something similar to her mother's last outfit with a bit more of a militaristic flair, which she paced nervously around in. She felt Phil stop behind her more than saw him, and she turned and smiled at him. The man had been like a father to her when she thought she'd never have parents of any kind ever again, and though he was starting to grey, and looked slight and unassuming, she knew he could kick damn near anyone’s ass in the blink of an eye.
His face looked serious though, as he held a package under his arm. She tried to read him, tried to pick up on what was going on, but he had always been very good at keeping a blank face. He must be terrible to play poker with, she thought.
"I like it," he said, nodding to her. "But I think it’s missing something." He handed her the package which Lydia took eagerly. She tore at the brown paper wrapping and then slowed to a crawl, staring down at the brown leather jacket in her hands. It was old and worn, but obviously well taken care of. Oiled regularly and cared for, Lydia felt like she was holding a fragile piece of glass in her hands.
"This…this is my mother’s…flight jacket…" her voice was barely above a whisper.
"It is…try it on, I’m sure it fits." Lydia slid her arms into the jacket and felt it curl around her like an old familiar friend. The smell of it awakened some old memories, buried deep. They caught her by surprise. She caught a few runaway tears on her cheek and wiped them away, before grabbing Phil in a crushing hug.
"Hey…Lydia…some of us need to breathe..."
With a surprised “oh!” she let Phil go and backed up, standing at attention, waiting to receive her orders.
“Today is about you. Today you will determine what kind of person you want to be wearing that outfit. You could be a hero that is out in the daylight, that everyone sees and cheers for. Or, you can be one that skulks in the shadows, doing what’s necessary, still being a hero, but getting none of the praise. Working in the grey areas. You could be like me, at SHIELD, or you could be something different."
"Phil, I fly, I shoot bright shiny photonic beams out of my hands and I can lift upwards of 20 tons. Hiding in the shadows I don’t think is something I’m capable of." She was rubbish at hide and go seek, trying to be sneaky just wasn’t something she did. Of course when growing up in a house with spies, one’s view of how sneaky was sneaky tended to be a bit biased.
Phil gave her a small smile then, nodding his head. “Very well, I think that answers that question. I've already requested a spot for you on the Teen Titans, they're just waiting for your answer, kid.”
“Yes!” she shouted excitedly. “YES!!!! TELL THEM YES!!”
“Alright! Alright, you can meet the team next week.” Phil laughed as she caught him in another bone crushing hug.
