The Quinjet flew a good 35,000 feet up over the Atlantic ocean. They had been making their way towards the Savage Lands. James had arranged with SHIELD to provide an assist if they needed it, but in the meantime the Avengers had all agreed to go on a team building exercise with him. He'd made them promise to leave everything except the clothes on their backs behind, so that he could teach them some good survival skills and how to work together. It was miracle that Ginnie trusted him to arrange all this. It was a slightly larger miracle that he got her to leave the armor behind.
James reached into the overhead storage locker and passed out a couple of utility belts to everyone. "These are basic utility belts. There's a knife, flint and steel, some fishing hooks and some rope. Everyone gets the same things. We are working on bare essentials. The object of this game is real simple. We survive for a few days on a camping trip and everyone goes home as better team unit." James gave a large grin. "Now, the biggest surprise. We're going camping in the Savage Lands." He paused and let that sink in for a bit.
"Now, normally, we would have the Quinjet land and we'd walk out. However, for this exercise, we're going to do something a bit more fun." James tapped the locker next to him marked 'Parachutes'. After the initial questioning of his sanity, he pulled a 'chute out and strapped himself into it, helping anyone else who needed it. James gave a quick show of how it all worked and then walked over and hit the release to the door. The ramp dropped down and showed the Savage Land below them, a paradise in the center of a frozen wasteland.
"No one is afraid of heights, right?"

Leaving behind her armor for this little 'team building' exercise hadn't exactly been the hardest part of this whole trip. She was all for that, taking a sort of survivalist twist on team bonding. And, while it seemed almost stupid or crazy to her, she quite trusted James. She wished she could trust all of her team to have her back like she trusted him. Sure, she trusted Aileen to an extent, that was her best friend, after all. And she... well, she knew that if push came to shove, T'shan was good back up. But she wanted to be able to really trust them all. The Savage Lands might have been a somewhat insane place to go for this but she had a feeling that camping here with her team would work out for the better. And in a few days, she just hoped that they hadn't killed each other. But back to the point, leaving her armor hadn't been the hardest part for her. Sure, she felt quite attached to it, thought that she needed the armor in order to be a real part of this whole thing at times, but she knew that she could learn to work around it. As she won't always have it. No, the hardest part was leaving the rest of her tech at home. No self-enhanced 'apple watch', no way to see how the company would be doing while she was away, and no way of talking to the AI program she had created with her father. Not having JARVIS was likely the hardest part of it all. But she would live, her tech would be safe, and she was pretty sure that her mother could handle her business for this trip. Still, she felt quite naked, despite having her own clothes and the like. Even as she was handed the utility belt and she wrapped it tightly around her waist, she still felt naked. It was a dreadful feeling. One that had her wondering, 'Why the hell did I agree to this?' It was too late for those sorts of thoughts, though. She watched James a moment as he spoke and rolled her eyes. Well, it was a big surprise to them, at least. Herself, though? Well, she was the actual leader here, she had to be in the know. Or so she liked to think. Her fingers messed with the utility belt, tightening it a bit more, though it was already tight enough really. It was a nervous tick, she supposed. Needing to do something with her hands. She did it more often when she was lost in her thoughts, though. "Remember, this is meant to help better us as a unit. And in order for us to actually do this, we muse not just listen but also actually work together. During our duration here, James is in charge, mostly. You'll take orders from him if and when he gives them, no questions asked, got it? I have a feeling survivalism is more his thing anyway." This was his 'team building' exercise after all. And, like stated, she trusted him. She just hoped that trust wasn't misplaced. Ginnie did give him a bit of an odd look when he started on about how they would 'normally' go about something like this. This part, she hadn't known about. They weren't going to land? "You really are crazy, aren't you?" she asked, laughing a bit as she got herself a parachute and strapped it on. She was used to heights, even used to the free fall part of parachuting from various exercises she had gone through when she was learning just how to control the Iron Lass suit and then later, the Iron Maiden. She'd never actually used a real parachute before, though she knew the gist of it. She would just have to watch James closely, follow his lead on when he pulled the string on his to make sure she did the same. As the others got their 'chutes ready, she stood there, staring down the ramp at the almost serene looking paradise in the center of snow and ice. How it was able to exist was something she didn't quite understand but she loved it. It was beautiful, a true marvel of nature. "Well if they are, this is definitely going to be a change of pace for them," she remarked. "Because there is no going back now, right, Captain?" she smirked before she decided why wait? In her head, she started recalling every manual she'd ever read on this. It was always a good idea to be prepared because you never know when you might need such information. At the very least, it would be smart to pull the chute at, at the very least, 250 feet, right? She would still likely be going off of James if she could see him but there was no better time to take lead and show the rest of her team it was alright. She started moving to the edge of the short ramp, turning at the last second to look at her team, the wind making it almost hard to keep her footing there as long as she did. "Alright Avengers, let's go." Without another thought or word, she turned and pushed off into the free fall, her hands at the ready to pull the string that would release the parachute at any moment. While T'Shan didn't see the challenge in surviving the jungles, being the Prince of Wakanda and all, he liked the idea of spending time together. Not just because it meant getting some possible alone time with Aileen it would help the team over all. While he might not be the first to admit it, he'd agreed that the team needed something to make them more solid. T'Shan was wearing a simple pair of jeans, boots and a T-shirt, not being too concerned about going for clothes that fit the elements. Of course given his durability and endurance he didn't really feel too concerned. However, not having Mjolnir or Skugga with him was concerning. He was used to Mjolnir always being on his hip and Skugga always on his shoulder or at least near by. But going without his snark would prove very different for him. He'd manage, but he didn't really care for it.
He took the belt and put it around his waist. He examined everything and shrugged. He likely wouldn't need most of it, but he could see the appeal.
"I may not need a lot of this. I've never actually gone fishing with hooks before. The rest of you may have them."
He said before being handed the parachute. He looked at it with confusion and shrugged.
"You know I can survive the fall right. It's been a few months since I've fallen from this height. Could be fun."
He said before putting the parachute on. He knew there was no point arguing, he'd lose anyways. Plus he was here to prove he was a good teammate and someone who could be counted on. As soon as they got the all clear T'Shan winked to Aileen and ran towards the opening and jumped out. He shouted in joy as he began flippinf around through the air.

Even Aileen had to admit that she could see the use in a team-building exercise. Sure, she absolutely trusted Ginnie in a fight, and she had the sneaking suspicion T'Shan wouldn't let anything happen to her if she could help it, and especially since their recent "adventure" together, she felt like there was something between her and James, they didn't exactly have cohesion. That was one drawback in working as a team, you actually had to work as a team. You couldn't just rely on the instincts you had as a solo fighter. And at the moment, their team was just four solo fighters who occasionally hit the same thing. Which had actually suited them just fine in the past, but Ginnie and James seemed to think that it wasn't as good as they could be. Somehow, Aileen wasn't surprised they were agreeing on things that meant they spent more time together. Not that she'd ever voice that to them. Well, she might not voice it to James. She was definitely planning on teasing Ginnie at some point about it.
She could think about it reasonably all she wanted, it didn't change a few things. She felt naked without her bow. She was almost ashamed to be around the others without it, even if over the several years of their friendship, she was pretty sure Ginnie had seen her actually naked at least once, and she was sure neither T'Shan or James would mind it, she just hated the feeling of vulnerability. Compared to T'Shan or James, her bow was the only thing that bridged the gap even a little, and now she didn't have that. And of course, she realised that if this was how she was feeling, Ginnie had to be feeling it much much worse. She also didn't fancy the sound of a survival weekend from hell. So sure, maybe they couldn't go and get drunk for every team-building exercise, but once couldn't hurt, right?
She took the belt James offered her, trying not to look too generally grumpy about the situation. But then she heard his next little surprise, and her jaw dropped and her eyes narrowed. "We're going camping in dino-land?" She asked, looking at Ginnie. James seemed just about macho and crazy enough to be okay with this, but Ginnie was too smart, surely. But Ginnie wasn't overruling him or cussing him out, or even looking at him like he was crazy. Which meant she'd known about this and still agreed with it. Well, she doubted those two were picking arguments anymore.
"We're going to talk about safe holiday destinations when we get out of here," She grumbled, but she couldn't fight a smile as he pulled out the parachutes. God yes, she could certainly get behind that. "I've always wanted to parachute," She said as she took one and hastily pulled it on, before less hastily checking the straps. If she died on this trip, she at least wanted to go out fighting a dinosaur, not because her parachute fell off. She could put up with the trip, and dinosaurs, and taking orders from James, and the two of them making gooey eyes at each other, and maybe T'Shan and James making gooey eyes at each other. Well, it at least helped to think she could. For the team, she'd do it. She grinned at T'Shan's wink as he ran out, and then rolled her eyes actually somewhat good-naturedly at James. "I wonder what he plans to do this mission," She said, and then stepped out of the plane into nothingness. She whooped as she went into free-fall, feeling the rush of adrenaline she lived for, not wanting to pull the cord just yet.

James gave everyone's gear a quick check over, before letting them go about their own business. His hands deftly checked Ginnie's chute and belt and he gave her a little grin. "Well, maybe a little. Sane people are no fun though." T'shan was refusing the belt full of things. James took a look at it, "Just wear the damned belt." He'd redistribute it all later. "I am well aware that you can survive the fall, but this is good training for you as well. There will be certain situations where we may not have our fancy abilities and we may have to rely on other means. Besides, it'll be a good time."
A quick smirk to Aileen. "What? I like dinosaurs. I'm a Jurassic Park fan. This seemed like a good opportunity. If you don't like the location, we can talk to our travel agent when we get back." He nodded to Ginnie. "This will be an eye opening experience for everyone, I think. We can't turn back now. Waste of a good vacation then." One by one, James watched them leap out of the Quinjet. He turned and tapped the comm panel. "Everyone's off. I'll call if we need a ride."
"Be home by ten and don't stay out too late." A voice called back from the cockpit.
"Whatever you say, Phil." James closed the mic and leaped from the quinjet. He brought his arms in close to his side and went into a straight dive. His narrow profile caused him to speed past everyone as he made no effort to slow. He let the wind buffet him around a little bit. James didn't like traveling without the shield any more than anyone else liked traveling without their tricks, but he didn't want to become too reliant on any one thing and his team shouldn't either. As he saw the tropical paradise expanding in his vision, he spread his arms and legs out, letting the air currents slow his decent, so he could get his bearings. Cap focused and looked around to pinpoint the other members of the team. They'd mostly follow his cue for a landing. He gave a quick thumbs up and pulled the cord. The chute expanded out of his pack and promptly went flying away as it broke free and sent Cap into a tumble.
He took a minute to straighten himself out and then gave another thumbs up and pulled the backup chute. This one deployed successfully and James felt his body slow and begin to float down.

Here's to being human and taking it for granted An eye opening experience indeed. She was almost amused by everyone else's reactions to the news. Sure, the whole parachuting part had been a surprise to her, but the rest of it was not. She'd noticed the look that Aileen had given her up on the Quintjet and had made sure to send her back a reassuring smile. She knew that she wasn't going to hear the end of it the next time Aileen got some time with Ginnie alone. Girl was probably going to try and chew her ear off about being okay with this. And then make some silly accusations about her and James. She knew her friend all too well. Ginnie hanging around anyone longer than was seemingly necessary tended to divulge in Aileen accusing her of either feelings or trying to drop hints that she should date. Dating wasn't exactly a priority but her friend never really seemed to understand that. These thoughts seemed to flow right back out of her head as quickly as they'd appeared as she tried to force her focus back on the free fall. It was a marvelous sensation, actually. She never really thought that she would be so excited about this. She'd went to start asking JARVIS a question, though, about her altitude only to have to stop herself, remembering she'd left her tech at home. Right... She missed JARVIS already. Talking to the AI had always been fun, even if it seemed to be a bit snarky or sarcastic on occasion. It didn't really matter though, because it understood him. Or at least, she liked to think it understood her. Ginnie turned her attention towards James and saw him give a thumbs up so, without a thought, she pulled the cord and the chute deployed perfectly. She was brought up a few inches before she started her slowed decent. However, the sight of James's chute being faulty sent a panic through her. She couldn't watch one of her teammates die already! "James!" She shouted as best she could. Her heart was racing at the sight. He gave a thumbs up but she couldn't seem to believe it was alright until he deployed another chute. Thank goodness. The rest of the float down she tried focusing on calming her heart, and her landing was less than stellar, practically stumbling over as her feet touched and the chute fell around her. She let it stay there for a moment, though, as she continued to breathe. Okay, she was calm now. She crawled out from under the chute and tossed it back before turning what had started as a worried glance became a full on glare towards James. T'Shan twirled around in the air, just having fun with it. He nearly reached for Mjolnir, ready to use it to direct his fall. But then remembered he had no Mjolnir and no Skugga. They hadn't taken his amulet however. Of course most didn't even know he had it. Plus it was only used to communicate with his father is Asgard. He usually kept it tucked into his shirt. Of course he also knew that losing it still wasn't out of the question. He wouldn't be too surprised for James or Ginnie to confiscate it. Although he'd rather James took it. Ginnie's fascination with Asgardian artifacts created a slight level of concern.
As he fell he glanced over at Aileen before James flew past him. Impressive. But T'Shan was used to flying straight like that. He rarely got a chance to just enjoy the air around him and flip. But when he got the thumbs up he pulled the cord and his chute deployed. It was then that he noticed the cord. Reinforced to ensure he didn't just rip it off. For that T'Shan was grateful. Sure he could survive the fall but he also knew it likely wouldn't be the best idea when surrounded by dinosaurs and other vicious beasts. His landing definitely left something to be desired. After going through a large tree he ended up hanging upside down from the tree. With a sigh he simply hung there, slowly spinning.
"You do this for fun in Midgard?"
He asked with a groan. The idea that people willingly did this for enjoyment was beyond him. Sure the falling was fun but the landing was not quite as much fun. Then again he also had a feeling that he likely didn't do it right. But at the same time he also needed to get out of the tree. He sat up, if you could describe it as that, and went to try and untangle himself. It was then he heard the wood groan.
"By Valhalla...."
Had one of them landed in the tree they likely would've been fine. However the tree didn't seem too prepared for his bigger Asgardian frame. With a snap a large branch broke free and he fell the 10 feet to the ground, landing on his back. The branch however was undamaged in the fall as it landed on his stomach.
"I have gathered the first of the firewood."
He said with a groan as he pulled himself to his feet. Luckily he'd barely been in the tree for a minute, but it was still annoying. He then proceeded to try and untangle himself from his chute before the wind picked up and his friends needed to chase him down.

If there was one thing Aileen was going to enjoy about this "camping trip", it was the parachuting. She loved the feeling, the way it was like flying, and most of all, she loved the adrenaline rush. As she fell, spreading her arms and legs, she let out a couple of childish whoops. Hopefully the wind would snatch those away before her teammates could hear. Ginnie was used to putting up with her like this, but she didn't want to look like an excited kid in front of T'Shan or James. She waited as long as she thought it'd be safe before pulling the chord, the sudden jolt upwards catching her and making her curse. Okay, that hurt. Although it wasn't anything compared to free-falling through the air, it wasn't all that bad to just hang there, comparatively slowly falling, just looking at the ground beneath her. You almost couldn't tell it was full of dinosaurs who were going to try and eat her.
She continued to parachute down, and started to look at her teammates as they made their descent. James hadn't pulled his parachute yet, and as Aileen watched, it came free and broke away, leaving him to fall. "JAMES!" She cried, but the wind snatched her words away and it wasn't like she could do anything to help him. He was lower than her and going faster, and it wasn't like she could control this thing. She realised she was holding her breath as his spare chute deployed. Of course, they had spare chutes. Thank god for that. She exhaled, her chest pounding. Now, hopefully, they could actually land without anything else happening. If one of them nearly died in the landing, how the hell were they supposed to survive a week in dino-land?
Eventually, although it probably hadn't taken too long, the ground came rushing up to meet her. She stumbled as she hit the ground, but unlike Ginnie, she was used to falling off of things with nothing but her own muscles to support her, so she was able to catch herself before she hit the ground. She shrugged off the pack before the parachute could drag, and looked around. "Everyone okay?" She asked, deciding that was most important. "James?" She could see T'Shan was fine, just struggling with some...difficulty, so she left him to it. Ginnie was good, she'd just landed awkwardly. James was probably fine, she just wanted to make sure. "Well, we all made it at least."

There was a slight thud as James landed. He went about unfastening the chute and looking around. As his other team members landed, he looked for T'Shan and found him in a tree. Well, briefly, anyway. "Well, some of us use it because we have to. That was good form. Not sure that branch will burn, but we'll see if we can make it work." Ginnie stormed up to James demanding an explanation. Like it was his fault the main chute failed.
"Well, I tried to do my best Superman impression, but forgot halfway down that I don't know how to fly on my own." He gave her a smirk designed to infuriate her and then leaned in until they were almost nose to nose. "What do you think happened? The main chute failed. That's why all parachutes have a back up. In case something like this happened." He was slightly annoyed with the anger in her tone. Like he'd planned to have that happen. James rolled his eyes and turned back to Aileen. No, are you alright? Just anger.
"Why, yes, Hawkeye. I'm fine. Slight bit of mechanical failure. Hopefully, that fills the bad luck quota for the trip. Thank you for taking the time to check on my well being." He dropped the pack and wandered over to T'Shan and helped him with the pack. "Everyone else okay?"
"The trick is usually to go for open spaces. It's more helpful." He thumped the Asgardian on the shoulder. "I know you could have landed without one, but the trick is to land without being noticed by seismic detectors. And you'd probably alert someone to something."
James wandered over to his pack and examined it. The compartment where his first parachute was still had some line attached. He rolled it in his fingers. Cut. Interesting. Wonder how that happened. First order of business was to scout around. "Everyone grab your chutes and fold them up and put them back in the packs. We can use them to create shelter later." He grabbed his and started folding it back up.

Here's to being human and taking it for granted She practically heard T'shan land. For someone who could fly, he certainly couldn't do it too well when parachuting. Out of all of them, she'd almost expected T'shan to have the most graceful landing. Well, second most graceful considering James seemed to have done this a number of times before. She heard Aileen but her eyes were still steadily trained on Cap. She probably had no real right to be annoyed. Except that this was planned between them in advanced, so she'd pretty much expected things like this would have been prevented. Logic dictated that, in these sorts of circumstances, sometimes you couldn't account for faulty equipment. But that didn't mean she couldn't focus on that small detail and pick at it. It didn't help that he seemed to be purposefully trying to agitate her now. That stupid little smirk. She could hit it right off his face but this was meant to be team building. She wasn't about to be the one to start the first fight during this. He leaned in and, while her initial instinct was to lean away, knowing all too well the temptation that could follow, she stood her ground. "Shouldn't there have been precautions to prevent such actions." Translations being "You scared me half to death," though she wouldn't say that out loud. She rolled her eyes and looked at Aileen as well before deciding to just go to her parachute and start folding it up. "Well, I'm fine. No broken bones or bruised knees. Might have to get a new heart if things like parachutes not opening right keep happening. Certainly, nothing like that would ever happen on an island full of dinosaurs." There was quite a bit of sarcasm there, though secretly, she was actually excited about this. She'd always wanted to study dinosaurs. Imagine what she could learn here. And maybe, just maybe, she could get the chance to touch or even ride on one of the more peaceful dinos. Assuming there were any peaceful dinos. She was careful as she folded, trying to make it fit back into the pack before shouldering it again. "Already on step ahead of you there, Cap," she muttered, trying to take a few deep and calming breathes. No need to be agitated, no need to be angered. It wasn't his fault, though she could push the blame on him all she wanted. She should probably apologize for the attitude that she'd given but, well, there was a small matter of pride and a larger matter of stubbornness pretty much preventing that. Maybe later on, if she felt it necessary. And when she wouldn't be seemingly embarrassing herself in front of the rest of her team. "Speaking of shelters, though, i'm guessing that might be the first thing we do? I'm not entirely sure, but establishing a base camp sounds like it might be beneficial. But, this is your trip. Your rules..."The highs and lows of living, to getting second chances ✿

"Anything will burn Captain, given the right amount of time."
He said with a light laugh as he managed to untangle himself and get to his feet. He nodded his head to James as he made his comment and patted him on the shoulder. He had a feeling he was simply patronizing him, but he'd let it go for now. This was James' mission and T'Shan had no proof of that. He finally managed to unhook himself from the parachute and looked at it still tangled in some branches. He knew he'd need to fix that for whatever reason. For one they probably didn't like the idea of him just leaving it lay around. Plus it probably wouldn't benefit the local wild life in anyway.
"Perhaps all part of my plan Captain."
He said with a laugh. Sure he could potentially survive a fight with a T-rex, but he might also be the sole survivor of their group. However fighting it would be fun and certainly was something he'd like to try. However without Mjolnir he wasn't as confident as he'd normally be. He'd grown used to the weight on his hip or in his hand. He didn't like it but he wasn't the one who made decisions.
"Yes, shelter would be good."
He was about to add that they didn't need parachutes for shelter but kept his opinion to himself. He was used to creating his own shelter with leaves and so forth. It was something he'd had to do as a child in the Wakandan jungles. He and his sister had been trained to survive on their own. But this journey wasn't about surviving, this was about team work. He went to work rolling the parachute up, peeking at others and trying to mimic them. This was very much out of his wheel house, not something he was used to. Sure he could handle storing armor and weapons, but not so much parachutes.
"Are we going to make camp here or move on further to a more ideal spot? Likely something with water and perhaps some sort of natural means to hide us."
He hadn't meant to throw out his own ideas or sound like he was trying to take charge. Of course in retrospect he could see how it would be seen that way.

Aileen would have smirked at James' sarcastic response if it hadn't been aimed to piss Ginnie off. "Well, that would have been fun, but for a few...mishaps," She commented. She could still feel the adrenaline rush, but it was just as much from seeing James' chute fail as it was from her free-fall, and wasn't nearly as enjoyable as it could have been. Still, James seemed fine, so Aileen was allowing herself to relax. If he was okay enough to be an ass to Ginnie, he was probably good to go. As he leaned in, she smirked and turned away before she made a comment that Ginnie would make sure she regretted. She hadn't forgotten the last time her best friend had hacked her cable and rendered her pretty much devoid of entertainment for a few days to teach her a lesson. Still, she was storing the comments up until they next got drunk, or just to casually slip in to conversation.
"As long as you're okay, Cap," Aileen said, just making sure one last time. As he made the comment about her taking the time to check, she knew it was really aimed at Ginnie. "It's how she shows she cares" Aileen mouthed to him in case he said anything he regretted. She'd been on the receiving end of Ginnie's concern enough time to know that when her friend was sober, she showed it by giving the person she was worried a telling off. "I'm fine, yeah, and that's one life experience I can tick off my bucket list. And coincidentally, nearly getting eaten by a dinosaur is another one, so this is so my camping trip." So despite her panic, she was still going to make jokes.
"Well I think I did one bushcraft camp back when I was like...thirteen, so really, I'm leaving this one up to you guys." Her main focus for the trip was staying alive and making sure everyone else got back in one piece. And maybe singing around the camp fire. She could leave the decision-making up to one of her wise and brilliant leaders. Sarcasm at least partially intended. She wandered over to T'Shan, and poked him on one of his very well built and well toned arms. "You okay there big guy?" She smirked. "Well, we know that if we ever need a bomb, we can just chuck Mr Doesn't-Need-A-Parachute out a plane at whatever we need levelling." She grinned and patted his chest as she walked away, scanning the trees for movement. She could joke all she like, but she wasn't risking anything sneaking up on her friends.

The anger that flickered through Ginnie's eyes reminded James all too well of things he'd seen before. He saw the flash in her eyes and the tensing of muscles. She was contemplating hitting him. He was tempted to push a little more and let her. He locked eyes with her. "Well, it's a parachute. Mostly cloth and string. Not much you can do other than add a redundancy like a back up chute. If you think of an improvement, you should work on it."
"Yes, shelter is a good idea, but first I'd like to get us the lay of the land. I don't want us to make shelter in the path of a raptor feeding ground or next to a T-rex's nest or anything. I think we should scout the immediate area and make sure everything here is ideal and that it has what it needs. If it does, then we build a base camp."
He looked over at Hawkeye mouthing something about Ginnie and let the anger dissipate. She was worried about him and was just showing it the best way she knew how. He tried to let the anger slip away. He pulled out his knife and started looking around. The logic was simple. He and T'Shan had survival experience. He'd split them up with the girls and they'd wander. It would give him and Ginnie a chance to talk at any chance. "T'Shan, you're with Aileen. Ginnie with me. Let's look around. We go for a half a klick out and look for anything dangerous or useful for survival. We meet back here in 20-30 minutes. Anyone needs anything, yell."

Here's to being human and taking it for granted Ginnie just focussed on getting her stuff together, making sure the parachute fit in right again after it was folded. She threw a stony glare towards James as he kept pushing her buttons. Her fingers twitched as they paused in stuffing the chute back into the bag before they clenched around the fabric. She took a deep shaky breath, trying to keep herself controlled. She kept up eye contact though as she tried her hardest to push away the thoughts of slapping him. Her annoyance and worry were not worth risking everyone else's lives. She straightened herself up, tossing the bag over her left shoulder before glancing around again. She also refused to let anger or worry ruin this trip for her. All the sightseeing she wanted to do, the research and the like. She couldn't let that be sullied by James pushing buttons again. He seemed to be good at that, pressing buttons. He was just pressing the wrong ones this time. She kept one of her hands on the bags strap, it giving her fingers something to curl around rather than trying to find contact with someone's pretty face. She caught sight of Aileen mouthing something out of the corner of her eye and almost wanted to ask about it but decided against it. It was probably just something about be nice or whatever. Of course, she was completely wrong in her thought process but she didn't need to know that. "Yes, that's right. Scouting the area first would be quintessential, considering the wildlife around here." While she personally wanted to see the dinosaurs, she didn't want an up close and personal look at them when she's trying to sleep or something. She almost chuckled at Aileen's joking. Almost, but she was still trying to calm herself down. The angry look from James even seemed to soften, which helped hers calm just a little. As he issued orders for who goes with, well, who, she almost wanted to complain. She would much rather deal with Aileen at the moment but she was sure there was reason behind it. And she had to remind herself that she promised James he was in complete control here. So instead, albeit with a quiet grumble to herself, she headed off with James, keeping a few paces in front of him. Or trying to at least. Initially, she didn't want to talk but she supposed she would need to, wouldn't she. She couldn't just keep eying her surroundings to get an idea of how everything looked in the area. Taking a deep breath, she stopped moving a moment to glance at him. "Sorry for being so harsh," she muttered, trying to look anywhere but his actual eyes. There, that wasn't so hard and as soon as the words left her lips, she began moving again. Her pride couldn't be hurt too bad if only one person was around to hear. The highs and lows of living, to getting second chances ✿

T'Shan was mostly ignoring Ginnie and James fighting. Primarily because they seemed to always be fighting and arguing about something. It was just another average day for them, only difference was they were around dinosaurs and had no weapons. He was still concerned about no Mjolnir or Skugga, he still felt naked without them. But he'd agreed to it and he was still plenty tough without them.
"20 or 30 minutes? Well I suppose I can make due with that much time."
He said with a wink. As James and Ginnie walked off in one direction he walked off with Aileen in the other. He began examining the stuff in the general area, looking for any signs.
"Hmm, seems a variety of animals come through here. None too big though. The over hanging trees likely are responsible for keeping the bigger ones away."
He said glancing at the ground and various bushes. His tracking skills were useful, now especially. He was just as skilled as his mother or uncle, especially when you add his Asgardian senses. He did enjoy being paired with Aileen though. He and Ginnie didn't get along so great and James was...well he wasn't sure. Sure James fought well so there was that, but this was about more than fighting.
"Is now a bad time to mention that I have always wanted to fight a Tyrannosaurus?"
He asked with a laugh as they walked. Sure he had weird dreams but still a dream. He simply wanted to test his strength against the mighty kind of the dinosaurs.
"But don't worry. I'll keep you safe."
