Danny had some free time as he had no more classes for awhile. So after shooting a quick call and learning Dinah was indeed in town he decided a trip to Gotham was in order. He hadn't spent any time with Dinah in way too long. Sure back when she was fun they used to party together all the time. Yes the occasional article about them came out but they couldn't be further from the truth. They were friends and nothing more. Of course ever since she got clean they'd had even less in common. Sure they'd talk briefly at award shoes and the occasional music show not to mention the random text conversation. But she was busy being clean and running her own label and he, well now he had nothing. He pulled the Challenger into the parking ramp and glanced over at Missy, panting in the passenger seat beside him, head out the window. He parked in a more secluded area and rolled the windows up. Reaching into the glove box he grabbed a small box and did a quick bump, suddenly feeling better and more energetic. "Time to put on my face Missy. You ready to see Dinah?" Missy gave a loud 'woof!' in response and he rubbed her head. He climbed out of the car and Missy jumped out of the car following him. He was wearing a pair of shorts, sandals, a sleeveless Queen shirt and sunglasses. He adjusted the bandannas on his wrists, making sure they covered the couple of new scars on his right forearm. He motioned for Missy to follow him and made his way into the building. He noticed the stares and did his best to ignore them. Hell just his reputation alone was enough to warrant staring. But that coupled with blue skin, fae wings and tail didn't exactly make people look away. Plus there was the occasional issue that came with wandering around with a loose pitbull. Sure he had a leash in his pocket just in case but knew she was harmless unless threatened, and sometimes still harmless. Danny walked up to the front desk and smiled, keeping the sunglasses on. Primarily because he was trying to hide the red in his eyes. He was strung out, high and a little drunk. But then again he pretty much always was, so it was nothing new for him. "Hi there. I have a meeting with Dinah Grayson, she should be expecting me." Normally he'd just wander back there. Hell he was still tempted to do it. But he had plans to one day get signed by them so making it awkward now wouldn't be good. Plus he also knew the story of a rogue and demanding Imp would sell and not help him in any way. So he leaned against the counter and waited calmly as the receptionist likely messaged Dinah. Missy meanwhile sat down beside him, looking around. Danny patted her head twice and she laid down beside him, waiting for the signal.

The one thing about running a music label was actually running it. And that made Dinah bored. Almost to the point of tears. She liked scouting new talent, she loved being in the recording booth, hearing what they were coming out with next. She hated, hated paper work. And she had a mountain of it. And she should really hire someone one of these days to condense it down for her so there wasn't such a massive pile waiting for her to sift through when she came back from tour, or recording her own stuff. But that meant more paperwork and interviews and more shit she really just didn't want to deal with.
So, that's why she was in her office, staring at contracts, looking over the files the lawyers had sent over and making sure everything looked decent for all involved. She was going pretty casual today, cut offs and black tank top with a button up thrown over it to cover her still black and blue shoulder. She had things in her closet she could change into if she needed to look like "Bosslady" but she really didn't like to. She was a damned heavy metal rockstar, and a pencil skirt and heels wasn't going to change that.
She had her feet propped up on her desk, skimming over the latest contract, when her buzzer for her phone went off. She picked it up lazily and cradled it against her good shoulder, only half paying attention to either of what she was doing. "Yeah?"
"There's a Mr. um...McCoy here to see you ma'am? He says you were expecting him but he's not-"
"Is he a short ass red head with an adorable pit bull?" She put the contract back on the desk, leaning back in her chair.
"Um...those would not be-"
"Yes or no answer Delilah. Simple as that." Dinah didn't much care for people to point out the most obvious of Danny's features. Anyone with eyes could see he was blue, with wings and a damn tail. But that wasn't who he was and she refused to point out the obvious. He was a damned person, even if they hadn't seen each other in awhile, and she was going to treat him that way.
"...yes, Ms Grayson."
"Good! Don't tell him anything, I'll be right there." She dropped her feet from the desk and pushed away from it before walking quickly over to the elevators. She'd go down and meet him in front of everyone.
The elevator dinged and she walked out, spotting them both just waiting. She grinned as she walked over waving before dropping down to say hello to Missy with the most excited voice anyone had probably ever heard from her in the entire building. Except of course Danny.
"Hello Missy! How's my favorite dog? How's my pretty girl?! The tater tot treating you good, baby girl?" She gave the dog love and hugs and pets and attention before finally standing up and looking at Danny.
"So, you the real McCoy?" She grinned widely at him, knowing it was an old and stupid joke but it didn't make her any less amused.

Danny waited patiently as he listened to Delilah message Dinah. He whistled calmly, tapping out a beat on the desk. He was restless and hated being in one spot too long with nothing to do and no one to talk to. Of course the coke he just did could also be the cause of his restlessness. He was getting bored, he should keep a ball in his pocket for Missy. he had a bone but it was pretty hard and he didn't trust himself around all of this breakable stuff.
"Ma'am? Pssh, ya hear that Missy, Dinah's a ma'am now."
Missy barked in response and Danny laughed.
"I am not a sir Missy."
He said shaking his head before Delilah hung up. He looked over at Delilah and leaned in smiling. He was bored but there was an attractive woman he could hit on. So it wasn't a complete loss. Hell if anything he might get more out of this visit than he'd initially thought.
"So....Delilah is it. Beautiful name. I'm thinking that when you get off we should go get a drink. I mean flight coupled with a prehensile tail, I am certainly able to show you a good time. Ya know what they say. Once you go Blue it'll be your favorite hue. Ok, I say that, no one else. But it'll catch on you'll see."
He said with a laugh and a smile. The elevator opened and he looked over at Dinah with a smile. Of course he wasn't that surprised when she bypassed him entirely and began talking to Missy. Missy wagged her tail and rolled over onto her back in order to get a belly rub.
"Double D, it's been so long. You're a ma'am now. You've come a long way from beating the hell out of one of my clingy groupies in the mud. Man Tennessee was fun. Ya know, once I got past all the slurs of course."
He said with a laugh. He knew though that she wasn't the same kind of person now as she was then. Instead she was clean and successful and running her own label. If he hadn't lost everything he could be running a competing label right now. Of course someone like him wouldn't do well to actually run a business. He was too strung out, drunk and emotional to even stand a chance.
"Are you gonna show me around or keep me in the lobby where everyone can see me?"

Delilah just looked up at Danny passively, putting on her safe smile, the one she saved for clients. Dinah had many types of people come through here and she was the first person they saw. She had long ago gotten over being star struck. And Danny hitting on her was nothing new. She took it all in stride as she continued to do her work while smiling at him and nodding appropriately. She even chuckled a little as he laughed before her phone rang and she answered it.
"Hey! Stop hitting on my receptionist. She's not playing for your team anyway." Dina smiled at the ma'am comment. She supposed he was right, she was a ma'am now, but that came when you had your own company, even if you didn't feel like a ma'am. She always felt like a rock star.
"Hey, I can still beat your groupies into the mud. And bigots. You know, equal opportunity beat down." She grinned. They did indeed have some good times in Tennessee, along with some outrageous expenditures she remembered getting yelled at for and rolling her eyes. That was another lifetime. She could see the tell tale signs on Danny though, that he was still using, still drinking. It made her sad. He could be so much better if he wasn't so strung out. But he was still her friend, first and foremost. She would help him if she could.
"I dunno," she grinned. "My lobby is awfully bare of pretty things to look at. I just might keep you here. Buuuuuuut if you're hungry, we could go out for lunch."

As she was scolding him for hitting on the receptionist he simply shrugged. Not the first time he's been accused of hitting on someone who was of another persuasion. If anything he seemed to almost do it on a regular basis. Whether that was because he made terrible decisions or him just hitting on every woman was another matter.
"Well I do enjoy a challenge."
He said with a laugh. He smiled a bit when she talked about beating up some of his groupies. He knew how trust that was. She may have looked scrawny and short but she definitely had some moves. If anything it was impressive. He didn't exactly understand it but he didn't feel like asking. He might've asked once or twice when they were drunk and he likely got some sort of aerobic kick boxing class at the gym. Not entirely sure how true it was but she was good at evading his questions. He'd pretty much given up asking most questions.
"Well everyone needs pretty things. I could stand here on a pedestal and people can take a picture with me. It could be fun."
He said with a smile. He wouldn't be against going to lunch though. Especially since he was so hungry now especially. He hadn't eaten in awhile, he thought. Plus he was so strung out he likely hadn't eaten in quite some time, not an uncommon occurrence. Especially since he usually lost track of time when he didn't have any classes.
"I think I passed a Mexican place about a block from here. Smelled good. I know Missy went nuts for it."
