Walt loved this place. No shame in it.
He stood beside his friend in a red hoodie with the Flash emblem emblazoned boldly on the front, and a broad smile blazing across his face.
"What next? Villains? Notable Rescues? GOD, I love Saturdays! The turnout here is phenomenal. Every weekend. Every day, actually. How long has it been since I was here?... Yesterday. I was here yesterday. I loooove this. Honey-roasted peanut?" He held out the snack in his hand to Barry.
They had made this trip before, but it never got old for Walt. Since his father Wally had taken him here, (before Walt's own powers had even manifested,) he had been in love with the legacy. Having the Kid here just made it more enjoyable.
Walt kept smiling down at his younger partner. "This place is incredible, isn't it, Barry? Whered'yawannagonext?"

If Walt had no shame, Barry didn't even know what the word shame meant. Coming to the museum never got old for Barry either. Seeing the place that was built to memorialize his own father, come on, how could that ever get old. Especially now that he himself would one day become a part of this place. Even though Walt currently held the mantle that was his birthright, he didn't much care. He was ok with being the Kid Flash for the time being, especially since he was so cool with his cousin.
He stood next to Walt, goggles on his head and an old retro looking Flash t-shirt under a yellow and red jacket. He took a handful of peanuts and shoved them into his mouth, chewing and swallowing before the blink of an eye. He took in a breath and nodded as he exhaled. "I always love seeing the people here... Especially knowing why they're here... It never gets old Walt... Never, never never.... and....... Notable Rescues!" He smirked knowing that Walt could have easily guessed he'd say that. I mean, who wouldn't like seeing their Father saving people... Right?

There are days when Mallory wondered what the hell she was doing. Today was one of those days. Today she found herself wandering through the Flash museum, probably to torture herself. Everything was too bright, and cheerful, and generally annoying. She had her headphones in her ears to ignore people while she wandered around. She spent most of her time in the Villains room, considering it research for how not to beat a Flash. The minute she got to the section on Weather Wizard though, the room grew colder and people began to filter out, complaining about the air conditioning. Sh looked up at her father, anger and contempt evident on her face. That man, that asshole was her dad and she generally hated the fact that he was in a museum, even if it was because he was one of the Flash's Rogues.
She walked around the case with his old costume in it, the ridiculous colors it was made of almost making her roll her eyes. He always had to be the center of attention. She did smile at the poor replica of the weather wand they had on a small display next to the case. She supposed it made people feel safe it was here instead of out there and being used. Jokes on them though! She usually had it on her person at any given time.
"Pompous ass. Always thought you were better than everyone else, didn't you? Well now you're rotting in prison." She muttered to herself. And now I get to show you what a real weather wizard can do, pops. She turned over to the Trickster's display and pulled up her hood before slipping on her goggles. Clouds quickly started to form against the ceiling, the room going dark and causing whoever was left to look up in wonderment then in fear. The clouds flashed with lightning, scattering people just before the hail started to fall. She pointed at the Trickster's case and a bolt of lightning struck it, shattering the glass around the display. she walked up and grabbed the coat, putting it on and stuffing the pockets with the yo-yos, exploding rubber chickens, sharpened jacks and whatever else they had on display. One stop shopping for her best friend's birthday.

One glance at Barry after hearing the shatter of glass was enough for Walt. He was in the room with the girl before most of the shards of the broken case had hit the floor.
Fully costumed, he spoke to her now in a tone of a lenient reprimand.
"You know what? I agree. Those prices at the gift shop are-" He made an exasperated noise and flipped one hand in a "what can you do?" gesture. It wasn't like to Walt to punch first and ask questions after. He much preferred to try to talk around a problem if that meant it could be solved nonviolently. In this case, that seemed manageable.
He smiled winningly. "You a Trickster fan? Yeah, between you and me, he's not the worst guy around. I've told him, I wish he would come to the light side of the Force, but he... y'know, he likes his yo-yos. And explosives. And jail. But I don't think I've met you personally!" Walt, having noticed the strange weather patterns in the room and how they seemed to center on the girl, grasped the nature of his potential adversary. But still he approached her, gloved hand outstretched, beaming.
"I'm gonna be honest, I don't want to fight you. Can we be friends? Is that a stupid question? I'll tell you what, you keep that stuff. Really! I'll look the other way. As long as you promise me that nobody gets hurt today, and you give me a fair shot. And also my friend here." Walt assumed that the boy would be at his heels. After all, if Walt had any advantage over Barry, it was only marginal.
"Kiddo, this is my new friend." Walt turned to where he assumed Barry would be standing. "She's gonna join us," he turned back to the girl. "If you want. Are you hungry? Lunch is on me!"

now i can't seem to breathe right cause i keep running
Something wasn't right and Barry knew it. The people moving out of the villains wing complaining about the air conditioning when he knew the museum didn't even have it turned on. He scratched the back of his head and then began to fiddle with the yellow and red flash ring on his hand. It was always amusing having people ask where he got such an amazing replica not knowing that his father had made it specifically for him. Then he began to smell ozone and that's when his eyes narrowed on the door of the Rogues Gallery. Before the first crack of lightning was even finished shattering the Tricksters case Barry was releasing the compressed Kid Flash costume from his ring, changing into it and scooping up the wayward civilians still in the room. He knew that Walt liked to think he had one up on the younger speedster, and in some ways he just might, but when it came to speed... Well Barry tended to hold back to let his elder keep the dream alive.
Still, Barry made his move and got out just before Walt showed up and then almost on que the young Flash appeared seated atop the Weather Wizards glass case, his legs rocking back and forth. "I don't know man... She doesn't seem the 'new friend' type... I mean, she did just pull a crazy stunt that literally BLEW UP a reinforced glass protective case..." He hopped down and whacked Walt upside the back of his head and sighed. "We also don't just turn our back on something like this... Jeez man, you have to much of a soft spot for good looking girls... Especially the bad girls... We're gonna need to have us an intervention later..."
He turned his attention to the young lady and cracked his neck. "Now, unlike my friend here, I'm gonna ask you to put all of that back, put our hands behind your head, and don't make this any messier than it already is..." Barry's tone was no longer his normal jovial and light hearted tone. Instead he sounded much like his father did whenever he got serious. As he looked at the Mallory his eyes began to crackle with yellow lightning and he simply waited for the next move.

The clouds in the room started to dissipate as Mal was caught completely off guard by the rather friendly attitude of the Flash. Even behind her goggles her eyes were wide, looking at him like he was a little off his rocker. And she was well acquainted with crazy. He was trying to reason with her. Aaron had warned her about this kind of crazy tactic, but she'd never really thought how crazy it would sound to actually hear it out loud.
"Lunch? ...are you kidding?" She hadn't planned on hurting anyone today. She usually tried to avoid it if at all possible, but you know there were just some days it was unavoidable. Today seemed to be turning into one of those days. Especially when Kid Flash reacted to her presence much more like she expected. It snapped her back to reality. If her dad could keep these guys on their toes, she could do it without breaking a sweat. She stood up straight, as if acquiescing to Kid Flash's request, to put her hands behind her head.
"Ah heck, birthday shopping just isn't the same anymore. I haven't the foggiest idea what to get people, you know?" After a moment the entire room was filled with fog so thick she couldn't see her hand in front of her face. Of course that little problem was solved with a quick turn of her goggles, she could see just fine. And to make sure the speedsters had an even harder time moving around, she lay down a thick layer of frost on the floor. Then she made her own quick escape, heating up her steps as she made her way to the door so she wouldn't slip her own self.

Walt took a deep breath as the room started filling up with fog. He looked sternly at his partner as he slowly pulled his goggles over his eyes.
"Not cool, man."
Walt vibrated his lower body quickly enough for him to focus his potential energy (while already chuckling about the "foggiest idea" pun) before releasing it rapidly enough to leap nearly horizontally to the door-frame just as the girl was reaching the steps.
"Wait!" He shouted down the steps after her. "My friend's a dick! We can still get lunch!"
He could have caught her by now, but that didn't feel right. Not to mention that Barry could, too, and given his less-than-stellar talents in the realm of civil discourse, the Flash had cause to be concerned. Walt turned his head to face his friend beside him, never a step behind, in the doorway. There was good-natured frustration on his face and in his voice.
"What was that, man? We were talking. And we may have even been able to get her to be cool if you hadn't started in on that "ready, fire, aim" stuff. We're s'posed to stop fights, y'know." Walt let out a brief exhale.
"Look, I don't wanna condescend. I know you're every bit the speedster I am, so don't think I don't. But... look, please. Let's handle this one my way, and I'll cover the next... 200 pizzas. Say deal?" Flash extended a gloved hand to his companion, a restrained smile on his face.

Barry watched as the room began to fill with fog. He sighed as he brought his own goggles down over his head and activated the infrared setting. He saw her make the move for the exit but he decided to give his friend the chance to make the right choice. On top of that he could see the floor freezing and, instead of leaping over it, he vibrated his feet to cause friction heat that would melt the ice where he stepped. Once at the doorway beside his friend he couldn't help but want to smack him upside the head again, however he did not. He did respond however...
"Yes, we're supposed to stop fights... But she BLEW UP the damn reinforced glass case man... With freaking lightning! How are we supposed to just let that slide? She could have killed everyone in that room had I not gotten them out..." He paused and slapped a hand over his mouth. He'd managed to get them out without Walt knowing but the cat was now out of the bag.
However, he didn't let that stop him from trying to move on. "Still, intervention, just saying dude... You really need to check yourself into a bad girls rehab if that's even a thing..." He moved out of the doorway and looked at the stair well. "Ya know, we could catcher... Like instantly... But noooooo you have to try and get a date... Fine, but make it 300 and we've got a deal." With that Barry moved to the wall and leaned himself against it. But if she tries to kill you, I'm dropping her. No go on Casanova....

Mallory didn't particularly feel like sticking around while the two idiots worked out their heroic differences. And it wasn't her fault the case "exploded"; it was their lame ass museum that didn't have safety glass on it. That usually burst into tiny, harmless little projectiles. And the whole point of making that room cold was to drive people out of it so it would cut down on the injuries. She wasn't that much of a monster. Still, while they were talking, trying to figure out who got to pay for pizzas, she dug around in the pockets of her newly acquired jacket for a distraction or two. Ah, rubber chickens and jacks. Perfect.
"You know, I'm not really hungry," her stomach groaned loudly in opposition to that statement but she kept on. "But it seems like you two have some things to work out, so I'll just leave you to it." She tossed two rubber chickens at them, tossing down the sharpened jacks in the door way as they exploded and bolted outside. As soon as she tasted fresh air she flew up, off the ground, hopefully out of reach of the pesky speeding nuisances. And maybe to search for some pizza. Because the Flash said it. It sounded good, even if she had been planning on getting a Big Belly burger earlier.

Flash knew Barry was talking, and he had some vague retorts primed and ready- Am I supposed to be surprised you did your job?- but he couldn't focus on his voice. He was focused on the girl. He did hear what sounded like noncommittal approval from Barry near the end, though, in response to which he placed both hands over his chest in an exaggerated "be-still-my-beating-heart" gesture, boasting a dazed, happy expression to match. When she bolted outside (after throwing... rubber chickens? And toys?) Walt was there, early enough to see her take off from a distance.
"You think she likes me?" KF might have been there to answer the question, he might not've- Walt was really talking to himself.
He dashed up the side of the building closest to the arc of her flight and shouted when she reached a height at which he thought she could hear him.
"Aw, c'mon! I think I have a coupon!!" He began rummaging frantically in his pockets.
In the time it took to find the scrap of paper in the pocket of his costume, the girl was too high up, so Walt followed her up the side of a higher, adjacent skyscraper, dropping the coupon in the panic of losing her. It floated down to the street level unnoticed.
He started his next appeal a little earlier from the top of the next building.
"C'mooon, please!! It doesn't have to be pizza!!!"
