Roxy was back and the threat from the alternate universe was handled. Everything was going right back to normal and Roxy was trying to forget about her brief stint in a cage and how her doppelganger had jumped Jor. She didn't like that whole thing and felt angry and embarrassed. But for a moment she was working a case that had led her to Gotham. She knew she should think twice about being in Gotham but she didn't care. She wasn't afraid of Batman and was more pissed than anything that they'd only briefly met once.
The case she was working was pretty straight forward and one she'd been known to be involved in. Someone was running people in and out of Gotham. The first place she'd check was the Iceberg Lounge but turned up nothing. Then there were the street rumors about the new Mad Hatter. But people either knew nothing or wouldn't talk. So she was back to square one. She was following up on a small time gang who suddenly had new clothes and weapons but no real businesses to explain it. It wasn't all adding up to it and it was bothering her. She knew she should be more careful though, this was home to @thomas, or Batman more accurately. She was there without his permission, not like she'd ever asked permission.
She sat atop a gargoyle with her legs crossed and looking down at a small part of the group who at first glance looked like they were doing nothing. The dice game was a cute little fake. Enough that you wouldn't really look twice. But as she sat there watching she began to figure out a code. What seemed like random conversation over a dice game was deeper.
'We need to get going. Will you stop rolling the dice so well? Move it, you're too close. Them cops haven't been seen around here in a few days now. At least give me a chance to get my money back. Three AM comes way too early it seems.'
She sat there watching. They were going to move at 3 AM, now she had a time. She just needed a location. Well ideally two locations, a start and an end point. Problem was the entire conversation wasn't code, a good chunk was just a conversation. As she sat there she began getting the feeling she wasn't the only one watching and not only that she was being watched.
"Watching a young girl at night. That has often been frowned upon in most societies. So are you a Bat?"
She said out loud. Of course she also knew there was a decent chance she was just talking to herself. All the gargoyles around, not to mention the old wiring in buildings could bring on the feeling of being watched. But if no one was watching her than no harm done, she was just talking to herself.

Herald was good at his job, granted even he would admit he was nothing compared to the late Oracle, but he had his skills and he used every one of them to aid Thomas in his work around Gotham. This meant keeping tabs on the 'new Robin' so to speak. Ever since Thomas had run across her he had Herald track her movements, even went so far as to find out who she was just so he could get every bit of information he could on her. Yes, he'd been taught well by his father and was that damn good. When she popped her head back into the hole that was Gotham Herald instantly notified Thomas. "Heyyo Bats... Just thought I'd give you a little heads up. That Roxy girl you've been having me keep tabs on just popped back up on the grid within the city limits."
Thomas paused on the rooftop he was on and listened as Herald gave him the location of the girl. He sighed as he knew exactly what she was doing there and also knew the crew she was watching wasn't just any crew. Just like she'd noticed, things were different since the 'event'. He'd been keeping tabs on it all the best he could but he was waiting to have all the pieces in place before making a move. Seemed that was now out the window. He fired his grappling hook and launched himself into the night and as he came close to her position he used his grapple to launch himself high, and silently glided to a gargoyle above her, activating his active cloak as he landed.
He crouched there, watching her in silence as she watched the crew below. The joys of being Batman, he not only watched her, but was also listening to what the group was saying so as not to miss anything on their end. Then he heard her voice "Watching a young girl at night. That has often been frowned upon in most societies. So are you a Bat?" Thomas sighed and slowly stood up to his full height upon the Gargoyle. As he did his active cloak deactivated and slowly shimmered down his body until he was completely visible.
"Not just a Bat... I am The Bat... And you forgot my number one rule already..."

She glanced up as she heard his voice and shrugged before turning her attention back to the group below her. SHe had no desire to deal with Batman, even if he likely didn't feel the same way. Hell she was almost certain he wouldn't feel the same way. But at the same time she didn't care. She had her own issues to deal with. But right now she was simply focused on her job.
"I didn't forget Batman, I simply chose to disregard it. Actually I like the term ignore, more insulting."
She said before turning her attention back to the group below her. She wouldn't bow to the Bat like she'd seen so many other people do. No, she'd wanted to be trained by him for so long and he kept brushing her off. Or at least that was the impression she got. If he'd really been interested in training her, he would've found her long ago. But no, instead she just went ahead and did her own thing, and never heard from Batman.
"Plus from what I hear every rule seems to be your number one rule. But just for clarity, which rule am I being accused of forgetting? Stay out of Gotham? Always wear black? Seems I'm always breaking some rules."
She said with a shrug. She looked down as the group began to move. Feeling this conversation was over she grabbed her bow and a grapple arrow and fired it to a nearby building. She swung over, sticking to shadows as she walked along with them. She didn't need to bother looking around to see if he was following her. On the one hand there's a chance she wouldn't see him and on the other she knew he wouldn't let her wander off alone. That was fine with her, she wanted to work with him anyways. She knew there was a decent chance that the group was going nowhere in particular, but that was fine with her. It seemed the criminal hot spots were always changing lately.

Thomas sighed as he watched Roxy begin to move again. He waited a moment, tracking her as she swung away and when she was far enough he took out his own grappling gun and made his way to a higher point. He knew she'd be aware of the fact he was still tailing her but he also wanted to make sure he stayed hidden, it was a Batman thing. He felt his left eye twitch as his commlink kicked on and Heralds voice was once again in his ear. 'She really is something ain't she...' Thomas paused on the next gargoyle and crouched down. "Herald... You may be my older brother... But you keep this up I'm going to hurt you..."
It was a quick break in character for Thomas, but he also knew that Dick wouldn't tell anyone. He swung one last time and paused once more, looming over Roxy like a dark guardian angel. She wouldn't admit to needing on, but he also knew she wasn't as well trained as she thought. That last bit nagged at a part of him and he would do his best to fix that once everything was said and done. He slowly stood to his feet and shook his head. 'Don't shoot the messenger Tommy boy... I mean... You're just like the old man when it comes to "number one rules" so she had you pegged from the start. Either way... Should I start setting up a new nest for her?'
Thomas closed his eyes and sighed. "Nest... Really Dick? Bird puns this late at night... You need a hobby..." There was a pause followed by a laugh. 'Says the billionaire playboy who spends his nights dressed like a bat fighting crime....' There was a long pause....... "Touche'" Thomas sighed once more and dropped down, landing softly and silently beside Roxy. "I won't try and talk you out of this... I'll even lend a hand... However, we do things my way and after this is done you are coming with me to the Batcave and we are going you have a talk... Is that clear?"

"You know who he and Herald are don't you?"
'Theories, nothing more kiddo.'
"Bullshit."
'Language! Well you're right. But still.'
Roxy shook her head at Question's comments as she walked. Sure she loved him like a father and may even one day actually call him that. However that day didn't seem to be getting any closer. But she still held out hope that one day she'd be comfortable enough to actually do that.
As Batman landed beside her she didn't glance over at him. She had a feeling he'd at least give her enough room. He was smart enough to not get that close to her. Sure she likely couldn't hurt him with it on his terms, but still, she'd try. She enjoyed her space and wasn't about to let him of all people invade it. She looked at him calmly as he made his offer. She said nothing simply blinked at him before turning and continuing on her way.
"No deal. I do things on my terms. So either you kidnap me which I wouldn't put out of the realm of possibility for you. Or you can talk to me when I feel like it."
'Telling off Batman? Not sure if I should be proud or punish you. Ok, yeah I'm proud. You have our own respect for authority.'
Being bold was harder than she thought. Sure she'd always wanted to go to the Batcave and get picked to be the new Robin. But at the same time she didn't want him to think he could come and speak or do whatever he wanted and she would jump and go along. She was a born rebel, always had been.
"Now if you'll excuse me Batman. I'm going to take care of this gang here. Since we all know Batman doesn't bother with street level anymore."
She said with a sneer before continuing on her way. Had she not been kinda thirsty she would've spit at him. But honestly part of her had always been angry Batman allowed that underage stable to exist for so long in Gotham. He hadn't stopped their pimp, she had.
"So go save a moon or something."
She said walking to the edge of the roof and watched the gang get in a truck. She threw a tracer on the back of it and grabbed a locator out of her belt.
'That was a bit much.'
"I'm not the first one to want to say that."
She said calmly before she took off at a run, trying to follow the truck.
