T'Shan had been changed ever since he was taken a year ago by his evil version. Sure on the surface he seemed the same fun, joking Asgardian warrior many had known since childhood and when they were Titans. He was still joking and laughing and had been to many a party since coming back. Some might argue he's been drinking a bit much, but he also can't exactly get drunk, not off Midgardian liquor. However things had been awkward as of late, something no doubt the other Avengers had noticed. It was primarily noticeable at night, when he slept, for the few hours he did.
The nightmares were hellish cruel things, worse than anything his cousin could cook up on his darkest days. Ginnie had done a lot of work on his room. Essentially re-enforcing it and turning it into a Faraday cage, ever since one night he nearly fried the wiring in one hallway and burst through the wall. But those of his team mates that enjoyed sleeping in thunderstorms likely seemed to be enjoying this. Anytime he slept the sky raged until he got up and gave up on sleep. Luckily he was a demi-god with near boundless stamina, making sleep not entirely needed.
Tonight was just another night for him. It was just past 3 AM and T'Shan was working in the training room, as usual, and just like usual he was fighting himself, and losing. Skugga was perched in the corner watching, but trying to look away. Skugga seemed to be fairing better than his master, or at least was better at hiding it.
Just like always though, the other T'Shan seemed to win. As was evidenced by the massive thump on the training room door as the simulation faded. The doors opened and he slowly fell into the hallway, groaning. He held Mjolnir tightly in his hand and wore weights on his ankles and wrists. The simulation in the room froze with the other T'Shan holding his Mjolnir in an uppercut fashion. Skugga flapped over and landed on T'Shan's chest, looking down at his prone body.
"You fall for that move every time. One would've assumed you'd have learned by now."
"Aye Skugga, aye. Soon enough I will figure out a way to beat him."
"He is defeated and done for T'Shan. In the end you won."
"That is up for debate."
He said before slowly sitting up, brushing his hair off his face as Skugga landed beside him.
