Flo had chosen her target essentially at random. She just wanted an excuse to mess with someone, and wherever she headed to, there was bound to be a hero on call in the area. She took the choice of San Francisco. There was a suitably ridiculous number of heroes working in that area. There was bound to be one of them around.
Having put on suitable garb for Keres, she walked over into a shadow and vanished.
She reappeared outside a bank near the centre of the city, a few blocks away from what would really be considered the big hubs- somewhere she could pretend she was doing this for physical money rather than as entertainment.
Flo was instantly greeted with suspicious looks as she entered the building. No-one was actually running yet. She might consider herself a villainess like this, but that didn’t mean she wanted every citizen around her dead. She knew how bad that could be, particularly as a result of her powers, so she’d want the people to ideally not be dead by her hands. But she wouldn’t have admitted that justification; the justification for her actions would be that it made her more likely to get her prize quickly.
Flo drew in the shadows from around the hall area towards her, not forming anything particularly strong yet, just a pool of shadows around her, with arms reaching up sporadically throughout its surface. She kept walking forwards to the front, not failing to notice the people starting to leave as she advanced.
Flo could easily see one of the men at the back dialling up on a phone, presumably to call the police. She let the call start to go through before she spoke up, confirming what the man was probably saying down the line. ”I wouldn’t call the police in if I were you. What can they do about me, when I can do this?” One of the shadows separated itself from her vicinity, and flew outwards, hitting the phone out of the guard’s hand, and pinning his arm against the wall with a flick of her wrist. It took more concentration than she let on.
”Good boy.” Flo smiled, winking at the guard. ”We could do this the easy way, or I could show you what happens to bad boys.”
