Gotham City was hardly the sort of place anybody wanted to go alone, what with its reputation for things ranging from killer clowns to gun-wielding aviary life. But, the trail lead here... at least Adam thought it did. He wasn't exactly a master detective, but he did have a degree of pattern recognition abilities... and access to the computers in Titan's Tower.
The danger he might have been in, though, was somewhat mitigated by his 'eccentric' choice of clothing. What could best be described as a wrestling singlet, beneath a tiger-striped jacket and crowned off with a tiger mask covering most of his face. He hadn't hesitated at all in coming to Gotham when he thought he'd found Roxy but all things considered doubted that 'Adam Sato' was what was needed in this situation. Besides, he didn't exactly have a forwarding address. He was going to have locate her the old fashioned way: At a crime scene.
Which brought him to 'part two' of his fashion style. A single headphone with a cord snaking from inside of his mask down into one of his jacket pockets. His phone had been painstakingly equipped with the best police scanner app he could find and every moment was spent listening and weeding out the sort of crimes that he didn't think would appeal to his quarry.
"One of these days I'm going to make her friend me online." He considered aloud, glancing up to a conveniently lowered fire escape. "Well, might as well indulge in the cliches, huh?" Adam laughed, bending at the knees to jump upwards and grasp the bottom rung and pulling himself up with a bit of a flourish. The line of thought he had was fairly obvious: if he couldn't find Roxy through tracking or visiting crime scenes, perhaps if he made himself visible enough somebody would call the police about another weirdo in a mask wandering around the city.
From there, it would be a simple guess that the runaway Robin might be interested in the appearance of a vaguely familiar masked man. After all, in this city odds were probably 70/30 it was a villain instead of a hero. And so, he made little effort at things like stealth, or keeping himself in low visibility as he clambered onto the roof of what was, presumably, an apartment building. The light was fading in the skies, but not quite enough that he would be terribly hard to spot in bright primary colors.
Maybe I should try roaring, or something. Adam thought to himself, stroking the chin of his mask in thought.

Roxy was no longer Robin. In fact she was now known as Scarlette, only confusing part? She never called herself that. That was what everyone else referred to her as. She was occasionally shadowing Owen as Red Hood, but usually said nothing. She was new to this side of the law and was trying to figure out how to take care of everything. Of course she also seemed to be handling it pretty well. A few bodies had piled up in her wake. Of course it didn't hurt that most people thought that Red Hood was nearby when they encountered her.
Tonight she was in the seedy apartment of some drug runners. But they were low level, not what she was looking for. But sure enough when the underlings didn't check in, due to their lack of consciousness and being tied and gagged in a smaller bathroom, someone came looking. That was when she struck. She watched him slam the door behind him as he began looking for someone. The tables were empty, aside from the piles of whatever drug he was selling. She didn't care as much about the drugs specifically as she did at their existence and who they were being pushed to. But it also helped that he was funding some mob too. It allowed her to nip several buds in the process. Of course she had no idea Adam was in the fire escape across the alley and a few floors down.
As the man began quickly scouring the apartment for his employees or a bat, that was when she struck. He raised his cellphone to call for back up, maybe a clean up crew to eliminate the evidence, then a bolt came from her crossbow and went through his hand. He dropped the phone and clutched his hand. That was when Roxy emerged from her shadowy viewing post. It hadn't been difficult to hide. JUst be quiet and out of direct line of sight. She drove the heel of her boot into his jaw. He staggered back and over a table, spilling the contents on the table everywhere.
He began fumbling in his pocket for a knife, unable to reach his gun with his good hand, when she kicked it away. She then began to deliver left after left to his jaw. He spit some blood and a tooth to the floor before trying to recover. She had his by surprise and he had no hope right now. She was angry and would get the answers she wanted, by any means.
She grabbed him by the throat and slammed his head through the window. She pushed, his back bending against the broken window frame.
"Who do you sell to?"
The man groaned, between her hand on his throat and the various injuries he'd suffered and was now suffering.
"I presume you have names for me. Unless you're as useless as you look."
'Mason. I sell to Mason and he sells to the rest. I swear, I swear!'
"Mason huh? I always suspected he had more power than he let on. Tha..."
Then she looked up and saw Tiger on the fire escape.
"You're wasting your time..."
She called out before shoving the man out the window and watching him fall. The last line was to Tiger, not the man, who before being terrified was mildly confused.
"Go home!"
She yelled out before turning away from the window, not even bothering to watch and see if he went splat. She got what she wanted. Ideally he'd be fine dead but oh well. She had to go find Mason and hope Adam didn't do...well anything Adam-like.

Whatever plans and contingencies (if any) Adam was working on were thrown out of his head with astounding force as he took note of the building directly across from him. One hand gripping the railing as he took note of a familiar build framed by the window, his other pulling the ear-bud from his... well, his ear. It was lucky he had done it, otherwise the younger hero probably wouldn't have heard Roxy's admonishment.
Not that he had time for any of his usual bits of snappy repartee. No, he had a bigger concern; specifically that Robin, or Scarlette as she was now being called, or Roxy... he wasn't sure which name to use any more, had just thrown a man from the window. The next act was obvious. His hand was already on the railing of the fire escape, his body leaning forward to get a good look at the girl 'across the street'. When her victim was tossed, he launched himself over the railing with only one thought in his mind.
I really hope that thing about cats landing on their feet is true!
Which, technically, it is. Unfortunately that ability is more rooted in agility than any mystical cat powers. They're just very aware of their bodies and how to twist in order to land the way they want to. And in spite of the moniker he wore 'Tiger' was not quite so lucky. Especially when leaping through the air, across the space of an alley, towards a falling man. A man falling head first at that.
The two bodies collided in mid-air, with Adam throwing his arms around the other man's waist, attempting to use the momentum of their joint fall to at least land in a position that WOULDN'T be fatal or maim them... which mostly worked. Initially the duo bounced (for a given value of the word) off of the brick of the building itself (not an experience Adam was eager to go through again) before landing on a dumpster.
Years of leaning how to fall properly were likely all that saved Adam himself from any severe injuries as he took the brunt of his accident like a champ, flattening his body to disperse the impact... although that did still knock the wind out of him. Gasping, he craned his neck before fishing into his pocket, actually a little surprised to find his phone still intact.
"The day might start going my way..." He wheezed, clambering shakily to his feet before casting the other man a glance to make sure he was breathing. Taking in the alley itself as he dialed for paramedics and looking for the twin to the fire-escape he'd just been on for this building.
"Hello?" Adam declared into the phone as he grasped the bottom rung, pulling himself up all over again. "There's been an accident, a man fell from the window at-" He trailed off before giving the address, working to get back to the room he'd just seen his quarry in from there.
Even if he'd missed her, which was likely, he was only a step behind now. He could track her the old fashioned way from there, surely.
And if my jacket is ripped, she's buying me a new one!

Roxy watched carefully as the man fell head first. Sure it was arrogant to assume Adam was here for her, he could be working on another case. It's possible the rest of the team had moved on and were doing just fine without her. It could be a coincidence but honestly a small part of her hoped that wasn't the case. A small part hoped he was very worried and was scouring the cities looking for her. She had essentially vanished. Her last known location had her destroyed communicator, blood and all the tracking devices in her R cycle ripped out. So it only stood to reason that they might think she's dead, hurt or captured. Which in reality, she's never felt better. She's finally accomplishing something in her quest for vengeance.
She also trusted Adam would likely save the guy, or try. She had enough information from him so she didn't need him either way. If he died it would help her out in the long run. Would show the city not to mess with her. With Owen's help they'd already slowed down a few of the mobs. Of course it was only a matter of time before they rebuilt, given how this city operated. But if she did it right they'd be crippled long enough for most of them to be damaged in the grand scheme and to make it harder to rebuild.
As she ran from the apartment she activated the sprinkler system, part of a fail safe that she'd actually had to reconnect in this slum. As she did the water would destroy all the drugs , meaning they couldn't get them and sell them anyway. More importantly a cleaning crew couldn't burn it down with the workers in the bathroom. They just needed money and their starvation was being exploited.
Once free of the apartment she made her way up to the roof, looking down at the two. He'd saved the scum, barely, but he'd done it.
"Not bad Tigger."
She said calmly before running off. She cleared the gaps and stuck to shadows. It seemed almost impossible to take the Bat out of her. Once she was a few buildings away she stopped and sent a quick decripted message to Owen.
'Mason was buying the stuff. He lied to us, again. Going to his safe house now.'
She needed to talk to the liar once more. SHe hated being lied to, it annoyed her to no end. Of course she'd have to make him pay for lying like that. That was fine with her though. He made more than enough teeth and fingernails. Of course her planning on vengance and messaging left her blind to her surroundings, no doubt Owen would make her pay for that.

Climbing the second fire escape was the easy part, all he had to do was keep moving. One hand over the other, one foot passing the previous and he'd get to the window he needed. It seemed to have been left open, but Adam took a moment to actually examine it for any traps. Roxy had left, and she'd gone to a lot of trouble to stay away. On top of that, she'd just tried to kill a guy (or so it appeared, but the young Titan continued to be willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.)
He adjusted his gaze skyward as he was certain he'd heard something from Roxy. "You know-" He shouted upwards, continuing to climb. Even if he hadn't heard anything, he'd be certain she heard him. "you're making it REALLY hard to have a conversation!" He came to find her, to talk to her... and even if she kept running to the end of the city limits, Adam was absolutely certain she would hear him.
Getting to the top of the building, he hoped at least, was a quicker process from the fire escape than from the interior. "I think all the effort I put into this deserves at LEAST five minutes of your time, don't you?" He added. "Maybe even a nice meal in some cool greasy-spoon type diner you've found here?" He added as he hoisted himself up onto the building top, catching the shadow in the distance.
Well, long-jump isn't my specialty... but what the hell? He considered, taking a few steps back before running, picking up a full head of steam as he reached the lip and throwing himself like a beautiful cat-bird through the air, hitting the next building low, rolling himself across part of the 'floor'.
Sure, it jostled him a bit (he'd never really tried parkour building-travel before, but seemed to think he had the jist of it.) but he was able to ignore that for the moment. The adrenaline of getting this close to his target, to 'out-detectoring a detective' as he'd put it was exciting. But more importantly, he was close to getting ANSWERS from her.

She could hear him yelling something from the alley but was mostly ignoring him. She figured she could out run him, it couldn't be hard. Especially since she was far more athletic than him, or so she thought. In reality it was a different kind of athleticism and stamina wise he was likely on a different level. Obstacle course, she had a chance. Straight race which this might be turning into, all Adam. If anything right now it may simply be a case of Tortoise/Hare. She was the hare, arrogant in her superiority and now she was stopping, figuring he wouldn't catch up to her.
Just as she finished her text she heard his surprisingly graceful landing. She sighed and shook her head, putting her phone away and grabbing her crossbow. She aimed it in his direction and fired, the bolt sticking in the roof about 10 feet from him.
"Last warning Tigger. Go home."
The bolt began to tick and she turned to run. The bolt was one of her delayed explosive ones. Not a huge explosion but certainly more than enough to push him back and get her a chance to escape. As she ran she loaded a grappling bolt and fired at the roof. SHe swung down to the street and kept running. In her desire to get away from Adam she just realized she was running the wrong direction from her motorcycle. Now there was about three buildings between her and her motorcycle with Adam likely on her heels. She knew she had no choice. She folded her crossbow up and placed it in her coat, grabbing instead her 9mm. She hoped she didn't need to use it but knew she was accurate enough to stop him with a leg shot and not kill him.
"Please, don't follow."
She said, more to the universe than to anyone, let alone him. She knew he couldn't take him in a fight. She knew there was no chance for him. He'd be hurt and she didn't want to hurt him, not if she had to.
