An armored car was heading down the highway towards the airport. Inside, along with a couple million was also a statue worth close to 5 million. Why put it all in one truck? Well the drivers had asked that same thing. Perhaps the owners were arrogant enough to believe they'd be safe. Especially since there were four armored SUV's surrounding it, each with armed gunmen inside. Of course a town like this notorious for its Rogues would show them just what a terrible idea this truly was. This was likely nothing more than a carrot on a stick for them. Then again with all the rogue and crazy doctors in this world who's to say that's not their real goal?
The vehicles came to to a screeching halt when they encountered a large pile of overturned cars blocking both lanes. The gunmen got out and began scanning the area, also looking for a way around. So far the only option seemed to be turning around. The high concrete banks on either side would make that very difficult, unless they have C4 or some other explosives. Which of course they did. They began to fit some explosives to one wall, intending to drive off the highway and into an adjoining neighborhood. As they waited the gunmen were getting jumpy. They were using thermal imaging to try and look for any hostiles that had to be nearby. One opened fire on a bridge, seeing someone aiming something before ducking back into hiding.
The overturned cars blocking a major highway and now people opening fire was more than enough to alert CCPD and any potential heroes in the area.
'Careful guys, we don't need a Flash showing up.'
"Ya know, there are other speedsters than Flash and Kid Flash."
Speed Freak said, appearing in a yellow flash and now sitting on top of the pile of over turned cars.
"¿Por qué la gente siempre se olvidan de mí? Por qué mi padre pasar por esto?"
But he didn't get an answer as they all began opening fire. That was more than enough to tell him that what they were transplanting may not have always been their's. That was another matter. More importantly he couldn't have people with explosives and assault rifles firing randomly in public. He zipped down and grabbed the detonator from one man as they tried in vain to keep up with him. Any speedster will tell you that avoiding assault rifle fire is easy. People think just because something shoots fast they'll be fine. These people were trained, but not for someone like him. As he ran he upped his speed and headed for one of the SUV's. He jumped and drove his feet into the side of it, sending it rolling and taking out three of the gunmen.
"Sí, soy un velocista que no tira golpes."
He then turned and ran, punching two more men out and sending them spinning to the ground in a heap.
