Powers:
Healing Factor: Edward’s body can heal itself at an astounding rate, to the point where minor injuries won’t affect him at all. Most cuts and anything that affects his skin will heal nearly instantaneously, and things that damage the muscle will take a few seconds, normally not long enough to put him out of a fight. Broken bones will take a couple of minute to heal, but start healing almost straight away and will heal crooked unless he sets them. He can reattach a severed limb assuming he keeps it in contact with the rest of his body within a minute or so of losing it. His healing factor also gives him extreme resistance to drugs and boosts his immune system. He has never fallen ill and it would take an extreme amount of a drug to affect him.
Bone Claws: Edward has three claws on each hand that extend from the spaces between his knuckles, and are about 11 inches in length. He does not have openings for them, and they cut through his flesh each time he does. Unlike animal claws, which are made of keratin, Edward’s are made of densely packed bone. They’re even stronger than the rest of his skeleton, and near impossible to break without serious application of force. They’re especially sharp at the points, but do have an edge and can be used for cutting. They’re sharp enough and strong enough to cut through wood and bone, as well as thinner metals, but not stone or thicker metals.
Reinforced Skeleton: It’s not adamantium, but all of his bones are extra thick and strong. They’re very tough to even crack, let alone break, and will stop most blades. The thicker bones will stop bullets
Superhuman Senses: Edward’s senses are all enhanced, to basically superhuman levels. He can just about track things by smell, although he struggles, can pick out detail from thirty feet, and can hear conversations from roughly three rooms away.
Superhuman Strength: Edward’s strength is beyond that of all humans, and up into superhuman standards. He’s not as strong as somebody who’s been injected with super soldier serum, for example, but he can break bones and punch through thin bits of metal with ease.
Superhuman Speed: Edward can reach a top speed of around 35 MPH if he guns it, and comfortably jogs at around 20MPH, although this will wear him out over time, and he has to eat a lot more to compensate for the calories he’s burned.
Superhuman Reflexes:: Edward can react to things faster than any human. If he’s aware someone’s about to shoot at him, he can be counted on to throw himself out of the way of the bullet, and it can be very hard to take him by surprise as he’ll be able to see and react.
Skills:
Unarmed Combat: Edward is good with his fists and with his claws, although he lacks formal training. He uses his instincts, speed and strength to help him mainly, and thanks to spending much of his life in fistfights, he knows which parts of the body really hurt when hit.
Car Hotwiring: One of the skills he’s learnt over his life is how to hotwire a car. He can do it with most makes and models, but the more modern the car, the harder it is to do, generally.
Lying: He spent most of his childhood and teenagerhood lying to his parents, and as such got pretty fluent at it. He can lie without feeling guilty and perfectly believably.
Lockpicking: Edward also picked a fair few locks as a teenager, and, when he has a screwdriver and a hairpin, can do it pretty well on most locks. It tends to take him a few minutes, however.
Perseverance: Edward prides himself on his ability to keep going once he sets his mind to something. He will go through hell to finish something if he’s sufficiently invested, and tries to never give up.
Weaknesses: (3 minimum)
1.) Lack of Control: Edward lacks a fair amount of control over his bone claws. He can retract and extend them at will, but they will also extend if he’s angry or scared, and he’ll find it difficult to retract them.
2.) Quick to Anger: He doesn’t have the best grip on his emotion’s, either. He can be angered very quickly by small things, and it can take a while for his frustration to drain away. He doesn’t make the best decisions while angry, either.
3.) Drowning: The extra weight afforded by his skeleton makes it harder for Edward to keep afloat, and his healing factor can’t protect him from drowning.
4.) Electricity: Electricity causes him as much pain as it would a regular person, and messes with his body all the same. His heart can take more before giving out due to his healing factor, but he can’t last much longer than the average human.
5.) Pain: Despite his ability to heal quickly, he still feels just as much pain as anyone else. His healing just reduces the amount of time he has an injury to cause him pain. As a result, while he is able to physically take a lot more punishment, it will hurt him just as much and he will have to work himself up to it.

THE REST
Personality:
Resentful: Edward is very quick to bear grudges, and can find it hard to let those go. He can also just come up with reasons to grow resentful of people, whether or not they really affect him in any way. When he has a grudge on somebody, he tends to refuse to see most, if not all, of the good they do, and refuse to admit that they might be right. He’ll often start arguments with them for no reason or act up.
Brave: To a point, he is extremely brave. He will think nothing of charging into a fight, even if he knows nothing about his enemy or their capabilities. He will also always stand up for a friend, no matter against what. His bravery has limits, however. He doesn’t like to get into situations he can’t win, and generally his bravery fails him then.
Sense of Justice: After spending much of his childhood dicking around, Edward learned something of a sense of justice while still causing problems with his friends. He did a lot of bad stuff, sure, like joyriding cars, but he didn't stand for violence against defenceless people, and he hated to see dangerous criminals go free.
Easily Angered: As said in his weaknesses, Edward can be very quickly driven to anger, which can take some time to die down, and greatly affects his judgement at the time. This also tends to carry over to his grudging nature.
Quick to Shift Blame: Edward is loathe to take responsibility for things, and will often try and shift responsibility and blame to other people, even if it’s just him lying to himself. This has the unfortunate tendency to make people mad at him, but he’s learnt to deal with that
History:
Edward was never close with his mother. He loved her, sure, and she always looked after him and made an effort. She cooked and cleaned, took him to and from school, made sure he was alright, took him places at the weekends. All the things a mum should do. But he always resented her. Resented her for getting knocked up by a superhero she’d been obsessed with when she'd taken a gap year to New York, and actually managed to date for a while. Rather than tell him about the pregnancy, however, rather than tell the superhero, she instead went back to the UK, and then raised him as a single parent in London. What he didn't know, however, was that his mother had been manipulated by a man named Romulus, who'd claimed to be some relation to Wolverine, and warned his mother against telling the hero she'd become pregnant. So he always acted up as a kid. He got into fights, he misbehaved. It didn’t help that he never seemed to get seriously hurt from the things he did. It only got worse when he hit puberty, and discovered his powers. His claws always frightened him, so he avoided using those when he could, although his lack of control made that difficult, but he enjoyed the speed, the strength, the reflexes, and never getting hurt.
He only really started properly acting up, however, when his mother told him she was remarrying. He'd known she was seeing a guy, but he hadn't thought it was anything serious. When he found out, however, he reacted badly. He started drinking, smoking, doing drugs, getting into more fights, committing petty theft. He got more and more friends into it. He didn't hang out with a bad crowd, he formed the bad crowd. He stopped going to school often, and eventually just gave up on his studies. Eventually, his mother's fiancée called off the engagement, something he had been hoping for from the very beginning. He didn't stop, however. He was becoming lost in the lifestyle.
Eventually, however, his troublemaking lifestyle caught up with him. Him and two friends tried to joyride a car, and when the police found them, they crashed it, and he was sentenced to a year in a young offenders’ institution. That was like a slap to the face. It took him a couple of weeks, but he realised that he wasn't helping himself. He'd let himself get lost in the lifestyle, but he knew it wasn't helping him. However, he never went to jail in the end. When he was remanded in custody, he had a visitor one day, a girl called May, who gave him a choice. She said they'd tracked him down as a mutant and that now he could go with her, to some Jean Grey Academy, or he could spend the full term of his sentence in a special prison for mutants. He didn't like the sound of cheating his way out of jail, or going to this Academy, especially as it was in America, but it sounded a lot better than mutant jail.
So he took the deal, and left without saying much of a goodbye to his mother, and prepared to settle into this Academy. He wasn't sure who exactly had enough power to keep him out jail who would be at all interested in him, and he wasn't sure he trusted them. Well, he didn't trust them, whoever they were, at all, but he owed them for keeping him a free man. He'd just need to keep his eyes open.

Sample RP:
Edward paced relentlessly up and down the street, not able to stand still. He didn’t want to rely on Carl to come through, but it was between that or certain death at the moment, and he knew which option he preferred. And if Carl didn’t deliver in a few hours, there’d be any number of criminals after him, most of them with a personal grudge against him as well as a professional one. Edward was hard to kill, but he knew damn fine that he wasn’t immortal, and that if he lost the fight, his healing would just prolong things. Another reason he was very eager for Carl to pull through.
As he paced, he was wondering if his situation could have been avoided. Could he have done things differently? Not without letting a lot more harm be done. Not without letting a lot more muggings and murders and drug deals happen. It was only natural, that when you made enemies like he did, it’d one day catch up with you. And today was that day for him, clearly. Edward sighed, and checked his watch again. It was half an hour past when Carl had agreed to meet him, and the delay was making him antsy. Was it a set up? Had something happened to Carl? Were gangbangers on their way to kill him right now? It wasn’t even the fight that worried him. It was the getting worn down. He was used to being faster, stronger, better than anyone he fought. Getting tired and slipping behind before he died? That’s what worried him.
Edward heard footsteps behind him, and he was so on edge that he felt his claws slip out then. His eyes watered as the sharp bones stabbed through the skin between his knuckles, but now he was definitely ready for anyone it might be. He turned around, and saw a very panicked Carl behind him.
“Woah, woah!” Carl said, “If you kill me, you’ll probably get blood on the tickets.”
“You’re late,” Edward said, but he breathed a sigh of relief. Carl was here. “Where are they?” He wasn’t here to waste time. Carl reached into a pocket and produced an airline ticket and a fake ID.
“You take this, and you go,” Carl said, “You don’t stick around, and you don’t talk to nobody on your way there. And you owe me big time.”
“I know, thanks,” Edward said. Thanks didn’t cover it, but neither of them were especially verbose. Carl would know what he meant. He took the tickets and ID, and then walked off, barely giving a look back.
