Extraodinarily pale; faint scars from her father; a joker card tattoo on lower left hip
Equipment and Weapons:
Joker Costume:There is honestly nothing special about her 'uniform' so to speak. It's just a normal outfit, some make up, and green hair spray. It has some holsters for guns and knives and, occasionally, a knife that can be triggered in the sole of her shoes.
Knives: Anyone who knows the Joker knows he relies more on weapons and the like than his own actual physicality. This is definitely true for Josie. As she took up the role of The Joker, she found a love for knives. You'll never see her leave home without at least a switchblade in her pocket. While her blades all vary, there is one she holds near and dear to her heart. Its a black metal switchblade whose hilt has a card design in white, purple, and green, a big J on one side of it. It was a gift from her father and, though she seems to despise him, it's her second most valuable personal affect.
Spade Locket Pendant: Nothing seriously important, equipment wise, it is, however, her most prized possession. It is exactly as it sounds. It is a locket in the shape of a spade. On the inside of one part is a picture of her mother making a wacky face, on the other side is a picture of her father with an x over his face. She is always wearing it, always, even when she's dressed as The Joker.
Guns: Another thing that she has always had an admiration for is guns. And while real guns had never been her father's style, they were most certainly her style. Any gun she could get her hand on is quite useful to her but it's not all she uses. Aside from regular pistols and the like, there are also flag guns (that when the trigger is pulled, a pole pops out with a flag that says 'bang' or something else on it that, after a moment, fires out at the person at high velocities), pop guns (that, much like harley quinn's, have giant corks on them; sometimes these corks are made of steel ot concrete and fire at high velocities at people, other times, the cork is attached to a string and what is actually released is confetti from the barrel or a gas that was concealed inside), and other such gag-like pistols.
Acid: A fan favorite of Josie's is acid, any type of acid at that. However, acid is a dangerous thing to play with so she doesn't often actually use it. However, she does have a few flower gags that hold acid in them. What can she say? She has her father's sense of humor.
Gags & Toys: Something that is a Joker Classic is taking normal, everyday gag items and toys and turning them into something extraordinarily deadly. Take a squirting lapel flower, for instance. Rather than water, it has been modified to spray burning acid. Or the hand buzzer gag can go from it's usual playful shock to a few thousand volts of electricity coursing through the body. Enough to stop a heart or restart it. Nothing is safe when she takes the time to tinker with them and turn them into her own little Joker Toys.
Baby Firefly and Otis: Named after her two favorite characters from an old Rob Zombie movie, Baby Firefly (or Baby for short) and Otis are one of the few things that her father left behind that she truly cares about. These two spotted hyenas' parents were birthday presents to her long ago, as a means to try and cheer her up after her mother's death. There is very little special about them, aside from being well trained and incredibly loyal. Josie tends to use them as enforcement or clean up and, surprisingly, feels for them much like Harley had once felt for Bud and Lou. It's a strange little relationship but they are her children and she loves them.
Smilex: What some people don't seem to know is that the 'Joker Gas' and 'Joker Venom' has an actual name. Called Smilex, it comes in liquid, gaseous, and even dust-like solid forms and is known to have a devastating effect on those that ingest. While it takes a bit of time, smilex starts by making the victim a bit irrational, paranoid. They would do things they usually wouldn't. But from there, it evolves. Uncontrollable laughter, contorted features, skin growing cold and pale, eyes wide and bloodshot. But it's the smile, blood red and twisted, tearing into the cheeks that is the Piece De Resistance of this chemical and it is with that smile that they die. A beautiful death, if you ask Joker. Of course, she also has an antidote but she doesn't ever use it.
Mallet: It may seem ridiculous but Josie, occasionally, uses a giant mallet made of wood to help knock some sense into people. This isn't a weapon she tends to take out with her unless she literally has no other choice. No, rather, it is used to beat disobedient clowns into submission, or a bloodstain on her carpet. One of the two.
Powers:
Immunity to Toxins: Simple enough, Josephine is able to tolerate all toxins, poisons, and illnesses. There really isn't much to it. It just makes it very convenient for when she is mixing up chemicals and accidentally ingests some or some enters through the bloodstream.
Enhanced Durability: She is able to endure a hell of a lot lf damage, far more than any human should. She is able to be slammed into things and hit with strengths that should pretty much kill her yet don't. Just how much wear and tear she can take is anyone's guess but she isn't invincible by any means. As you know, if it bleeds, it can be killed. And she definitely bleeds.
Enhanced Stamina: She is able to keep going for days on end without sleep. And, while this isn't healthy and doesn't allow her to work at her greatest potential, it allows her to work at her station with her chemicals or toys for days without her brain slowing down. Of course, she does feel physical strain, she just feels it slower than most. She isn't one to physically strain herself, though. She has thugs to do that.
Enhanced Reflexes: While she isn't able to run extraordinarily fast, she has amazing reflexes, almost cat like reflexes at that. So long as she can see it coming at her, she can easily dodge it. It helped that she also has the disciplines that gymnastics gives her. Now she can't dodge literally everything, catch everything. Her reflexes are only enhanced, not supernatural or perfect, but their good enough for her.
Skills:
Chemical Genius: Maybe genius is a strong word to use here but Josie has a vast amount of knowledge in regard to chemicals, what they mix well with, and the type of things that can be created with them. True, she never went to a real school to get a real chance to learn about them from teachers and the like, her father had been known for his use of chemicals. Did you really think he wouldn't teach the person he wanted to take his place about these things? It was probably the only times he was fatherly towards her.
Engineering Expertise: The only other time he was fatherly towards her was when he was letting her however while he was building things. She picked up on things fast and, well, engineering of a chemical and mechanical nature became hobbies. While no genius, she likes to think of herself as an expert on the topics and it's this knowledge she uses to aide her in rebuilding the little toys she has lying around her warehouse to make her deadly weapons with.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: And it was in training how to fight that her father had seemingly taken out his aggression on her and called it training. She isn't trained in any one kind of fighting style, which is fine with her. She knows how to defend herself and that is really all the matters. And where hands don't get her, henchclowns and guns do.
Gymnastics: This was something that her mother had been into, probably one of the deciding factors in Joker's choice of her, and it was something that Josie and Frannie did together often. Frannie taught her so much and Josie soaked up the knowledge and skills and put them to use. Gymnastics has given her a great deal of flexibility and helps quite a bit with fighting but, really, it's just a lot of fun.
Knife Fighting: She is skilled with a knife and knows how to use one in a fight. She actually prefers it. She feels that blades give killing people a much more personal touch, something that guns cannot provide. And put a blade to a man's throat, he's likely to listen, ir so she has learned.
Marksmanship: Josie has a number of targets in her warehouse that she can use to practice her marksmanship, some of which are of a moving variety. That's what she has Baby and Otis to clean up for, though. She has gotten quite good with a gun, and even with throwing knives, daggers, and even cards. They are, after all, much more reliable than your fists.
Bomb Creation: Creating bombs and explosives is simple chemistry when you really get down to the thick of it. So long as you know just how much of what to use, you can blow up anything. And boy does she love to make fireworks.
Street/Card Magic: While a silly little talent she has picked up, card tricks and what is known as close up magic. Close up magic involves a lot of slight of hand and being quicker than the eye can register. And you know what else a good magic trick is good for? Putting a smile on someone's face before they find a knife in their throat.
Manipulation: Josie is highly manipulative and, to her, it is a fine art. See, some people can be manipulative but it's just simple. No, for her, it's a refined skill. It comes with a bit of acting and a lot of confidence. And the latter is something she has in abundance. She uses manipulation to make people follow, make people fear her, or to make people believe that she isn't a bad person only to show them they should have trusted their gut.
Torture Methods: Torture is fun, and an amazing thing to use to get information out of someone or to start brainwashing them, make them into something that she might want or need them to be. Or just because it's fun to listen to her victims scream and beg for mercy. A mercy that she rarely gives.
High Pain Tolerance: Being raised but what in truth was a highly abusive father and a mother to afraid to stop anything from happening, Josie is very tolerant of pain. So much so that she loves it, treasures it, admires it. Pain is pleasure, nothing more, and that is a mindset that seems to help her endure so much more than she should be physically able to.
Weaknesses:
1.) Clinically Insane: Josephine is nuts, bonkers, clinically messed up in the head. She doesn't understand right from wrong, she is unpredictable, crazy. She sees the world in a very different light than everybody else. She's not normal, not by a long shot. But, let us be honest. She was raised by the Joker, who thought she would be?
2.) Human: For the most part, Josephine is human. She was even born human, only special because if experiments that her father performed on her. And, like any human, she can be killed. It just might take a bit more beating to do (although a bullet to the brain is always said to do the trick.)
3.) Daddy Issues: Josie has issues, a lot of them. But her biggest issue is with her father. She hates the man, has ever since he killed her mother. Yet she was completely devoted to him. It was a complex relationship they had, even in death. She often sees him, in her mind. A hallucination of him simply standing there, watching over her, making sure she turns out just like him. And she'll yell at him, she'll shoot at him, curse his name just to seemingly fall into his arms by the end, being held by something that isn't really there. She hates him but she loves him. She wishes he hadn't died because that means she couldn't actually kill him, make him feel the pain her mother had felt when he had killed her. And it eats away at her, from the inside. She just doesn't allow others to see it.
4.) Sociopathic: Sociopaths don't understand emotion, don't know why they feel it, don't know what they really are. And while there is the occasional exception, for the most part, Josie has zero undestanding of emotions. What she understands is that she can use them to her benefit, use them to manipulate others. But she honestly doesn't understand them or what use they actually have for people.
5.) Mood Swings: Josie is known to suffer from violent mood swings. One second she could be happy, laughing, and the next there is a barrel to your forehead and she's screaming in your face. During these swings, her anger is often known to get the better of her, which is dangerous even to her.
6.) Overly Confident: Her confidence level is through the roof. She believes, with the right amount of time and effort put into something, she can do anything she puts her mind to. The thing is, she's only human, and not even one that's really all that strong, so this confidence can lead her to do things she honestly can't actually do. Even if she thinks she can. There is nothing more dangerous than getting in over your head.
7.) One Big Joke: Everything in life is just one big joke. One that she wants to get the last laugh in. She isn't one to take many things seriously and she is extraordinarily theatrical. And what she is after is that one big joke, the one that will show everyone else just how meaningless life truly is. Funny, for someone who hates her father so severely, she has turned out just like him.
8.) Reckless: Josie is reckless, she isn't one to plan many things in advance, or at least she doesn't let herself seem like she is, and this leads her to come off as incredibly reckless. And when people are reckless, they often make mistakes. Even if she tries to be meticulous, she is bound to mess things up, do things recklessly and without thought. And that just can't end well.
9.) Fearless: Some people might think that being without fear might be a good thing, even possibly be a skill, but no. Because fear is what keeps people from doing quite a few ridiculous things, things that can get them killed. Fear is what keeps people safe. Without it, they are bound to fall. She fears nothing, or at least she hasn't found something worth being afraid of just yet, and she doesn't find it likely that she ever will.

THE REST
Personality:
She likes to let people see her differently from what she really is when she's out in what she calls her mask: Josie Lawler. You see, Josie, she is weak, she isn't anything to be afraid of, isn't a freak. She is a normal everyday girl. And that sickens her. But she plays along. She has money, she has smarts, and she has the looks of a rockstar. She even sings, and rather well at that, but that isn't much of the point. She knows how people might see her. Having a criminal record tied to the previous Joker, people don't always believe she is as reformed as she likes to pretend she is. They wouldn't be wrong, of course. She's far from reformed. But she had been so young when she went in, she doesn't see how people can hold it against. She's the daughter of the Joker and that was always going to stick with her. But she didn't have to let people see that side of her. It was just a game, after all. That was all life was, when you thought about it. And she always played to win. After all, it was just all about acting and manipulation, two things she knew very well.
But underneath the mask was a terribly monster: The Joker in her truest form. The Joker has always been a wild card, so to speak. An uncontrollable chaos, an unstoppable force always pushing forward, always looking to win at the chess game that is life. The biggest gambit of all, if you would. She is unpredictable, one can never be too sure just what she might do next. And coming out of hiding so recently, she's looking to make a name for herself, make things right again. Or, rather, make them right for the first time and succeed where her father had failed. Find the perfect punchline, the perfect end to it all. She wants to paint Gotham red with Batman's blood and watch it all burn to the ground.
She's a twisted soul with a sick sense of humor. To her, most things are funny, but the darker they are, the more hilarious they become. Death is but a joke, nothing scary about it. And were her time to come, she would not feel fear, she would be amused. And at least she knew she was going to the same place her father went. Maybe she would even be able to make him pay in death. Not that she's looking to die. No, she quite likes the living. And she can't die before that scumbag batman does.
Josie is highly intelligent and quite methodical and she would never let anyone believe she was anything but. However, planning things out isn't quite her strongest suit and, well, being unpredictable was so much more fun. She would rather wing it than take the time to make a plan. Plans always have holes, things you can't account for. And she can't stand the idea of making a plan that isn't perfect. So, if ot can't be perfect, why bother? That's not to say that there isn't some small amount of planning involved with everything she does, it's just not enough to be notable. She's not a woman with a plan and she's not about to start pretending she is.
Josie is a terrifying women when she is crossed. Not because of her mood swings, though they have always had quite the effect on the clowns. No, what is terrifying is the aura she seems to exude, when she gets quiet, serious, a dark look in her eye. It's a quiet type of rage that has an effect on people you would never expect. When she's being loud, shouting, throwing things, shooting all willy nilly, that's fine. You might still live. But when she gets quiet, talking calmly with that look of death in her eyes, that's when people need to start either praying or begging because it never ends well.
History:
In order to understand Josephine's birth, it probably would help to understand how it even came to pass. Practically everyone in the world knew about the complicated romance that the Joker and Harley Quinn had once had. And everyone should have known it wouldn't last forever. And when Harley had finally left for good, well the Joker was ecstatic! No more bumbling blonde bimbo rummaging around his things, messing up his plans, trying to get the Batman before he could. But one thing he didn't factor in was the dependency he himself had actually grown accustomed to. No more Harley had meant that there was no longer that woman's touch to the place, no longer someone who was willing to do everything and anything they could possibly do to please him. And, surprisingly enough, he missed it. He needed someone, just not Harleen.
In came the ever fabulous Francine Lawler. Her name was literally a laugh and that was one thing that Joker had always found amusing. Once a highly regarded defense attorney, and quite wealthy at that, there was one thing she had always felt drawn to, and that was the Joker. His case files were insane, but not as insane as he was. And during a fateful arrest that landed her as his attorny for a case people were hoping he would get the death penalty, Joker found his chance to make a newer, better Harley Quinn. The case itself doesn't matter, it ended like all others seemed to, with him in a padded cell in Arkham Asylum. No, the case was seemingly just the catalyst that would change Frannie's life, the time she would finally first meet the Joker and end up in the second act of the Joker's twisted love life.
After Joker inevitably got out again, he found his little minx, that lawyer that had gotten him out of a death sentence and started work on twisting her into the little monster he knew was at the core of every man and woman. It didn't take as long as he would have thought. Months, maybe a year tops, and it was because of her curiosity, her interest in the man himself that she even gave him the time of day. How he truly turned Francine into his second Harley Quinn, no one was ever certain of. All people knew was that another ditzy acting blonde was by his side again, causing chaos and destruction in Gotham.
It was maybe three or so years after Frannie had left her old life behind that Josephine came along. She wasn't exactly a surprise to the Clown Prince and his current Princess. No, she was planned, knowing that they wouls only have so long until one of them met their end. Someone would need to keep the Joker's name alive. Joker had just hoped it wouldn't be another idiotic female. That had been a disappointment to him. And maybe that was why he had been a bit rough in her upbringing.
The Joker wasn't sure there would be a second chance and, to be quite honest, he wasn't even sure he would be able to raise the first kid without killing it. Josie had been a quiet baby, however, which had been a blessing. Frannie did her best to raise her up right but she couldn't seem to leave the Joker. She loved him and she wanted her daughter to have a father, no matter how crazy or messed up he might be. Josie had always been much closer to her mother and her mother had taken up the role as teacher in her younger years since Joker wouldn't really let Frannie sign Josie up for a real school. Homeschooling wasn't so bad amd it was during that time that Frannie got Josie into gymnastics. It was good for exercise and so much better to do during 'physical education' than running or silly sports had ever been.
Joker saw how close his new Cupid of Crime was getting to his actual princess and, well, that angered him. He started interjecting himself into Josie's life more. Started teaching her about chemistry, how things worked, all the while seemingly studying, wondering how he could make her better, stronger, faster, perfect. Josie thought nothing of it. She loved her daddy and loved that he was giving her attention.
It became a familial power struggle: Frannie and Joker fought over Josie constantly and, usually, the little blonde wasn't around to see. She was out back playing with Bud and Lou or bossing a Henchclown around for fun. But the times she did see it, she would often get in the way ti try and stop it. That was never a good idea. She would often get hit by her parents, sometimes by accident, other times to teach her a lesson, when she would try to get in the middle of the fights. She just wanted her parents tk get along, be a happy family. But that was never going to be the case and, deep down, she always knew that.
When she was fourteen, however, the idea that they would ever be a 'happy' family died when a fight went too far. You see, Frannie wasn't the idiot she pretended to be as Harley Quinn. She was smart and she knew that this romance would not only kill her, but would probably always be the death of her only daughter. Francine had money still, tons of it in different accounts, all set aside as a fail safe incase things ever got too dark with the Joker. And though she loved him to death, she knew she needed to get out. Unfortunately, the Joker saw right through that plan and, well, things didn't end well for Francine.
Josephine wasn't the same after her mother's death. Her mother had been so important to her and it had torn her apart. And Joker could see that. He didn't want his little pumpkin mad at him, he wanted her loyal! Wanted her to be a strong thing, wanted him to become his next Harley and, hopefully, someday, be the next Joker even. So to try and brighten her spirits, he got her a pair of hyena pups. One boy and one girl (though that had actually been a mistake). At that time, Josie had named them Ren and Stimpy, having thought they were both males. Still, that hadn't actually done much to make her like him again, it had gotten her to realize that her father at least seemed to care at least a little bit. So she tried, she gave him a chance.
A few months later, he had invited her to watch him work with his chemicals, said it was going to be a lesson. And it had started off as one. Until her father dosed her up with the concoction he had been working on previously and then practically dunked her head into a cooled vat of what he was working with currently. He knew that it was possible it would kill her, but he didn't care. It was a risk he would take. He held her head under the liquid until she fainted. Or she could have been dead, she wasn't exactly sure. All she knew was that, when she woke up, one of the henchclowns had his mouth very close to hers. She had pushed him away and proceeded to bash his head in with the first thing she could find. It was another few days later that her father reappeared but she wasn't completely the same anymore. Her appearance was a bit different: her skin was much paler and so was her hair, and her eyes were green. But that wasn't all, things about her body were different, too. Her reflexes were better, she wasn't tiring as fast as before. But that was only the start. Her father, he was ecstatic. It was like he had truly recreated his original Harley Quinn attribute wise with his intelligence and twistes nature. She was perfect!
But after that incident, she grew to resent her father. She did as she was told but someday she was going to have his head and she would put it on a pike outside her home. She played the part of his newest Harley Quinn, the third generation, meanwhile wondering when to take him out. But her chance never came, and maybe it wasn't meant to. It started when she ended up taking the fall for her father and wound up in Arkham for a short stint. She was just turning eighteen at that time. It was only a few months but, the day she had escaped, something big happened in New York. The big bad Battle. She had been by herself at the time, wondering where her father was when she flipped on the television. It was laughable, seeing all those heroes getting their asses handed to them. She watched and watched and watched, wondering just when the Bat would meet his end. What she didn't see coming was when her father made an appearance and died to save the Bat. She. Was. Pissed. And out of a television because after she saw that, she pretty much destroyed it.
How dare he die? He was meant ti be her kill! And now he was gone. She hadn't seen how the Battle ended but she didn't care. Joker disappeared and so did Harley Quinn. But their legend lived on. For years, she had been building up her resources, doind small time crimes but never getting caught. Just to get things going, to get prepared. But there was no longer a need to prepare for, well, anything. The stage was set and she was going to make it hers. They wanted to kill him, fine! She would show them that the Joker is forever, that the Joker never dies. Oh, and boy was it going to be a laugh!

Sample RP:
Josie was quiet at the moment as she watched the painted fool in front of her. He was yammering on, apologizing for his latest blunder in what was already a short list of failings. She wasn't pleased, not in the least. His behavior was appalling to her and, slowly, a white hot anger was boiling inside of her. She had her hands behind her back, one hand holding her wrist while the fingers and the other were curling up into a tight fist. She was trying so hard to keep calm, she didn't have enough help at the moment to really chance killing another one of her men but he was making it so hard to be calm.
"Start from the beginning again and explain to me how you lost an entire shipment of weapons," she said calmly, though her usually bright green eyes were dark, menacing, as they tried to stare right into her 'employee's' eyes. He kept diverting them away as he went along explaining, again, how he had been duped. One of those Bat-freaks had stopped them and, rather than fighting or trying to do something productive, he turned tail and fled. Her fingers twitched as she listened. It made her sick that she had ever even hired this man in the first place! What was she paying them for?! Oh wait... that's right, she wasn't!
In her head, she could see herself in his face, a stoic expression there as she spoke, telling him how useless he was, how he was a spineless swine who didn't deserve a job. She could already feel her fingers curling around his throat, explaining to him that he was lucky to even be working for someone was great as her. As she imagined her fingers tightening around his thoat, they actually did tighten around her wrist. But she didn't say anything, didn't actually do anything as he spoke.
After a moment of silence, she turned away from him, looking at her desk. She tried to keep herself composed for a moment, looking at everything that was on her desk. Her eyes landed on her gun and, just like that, she was laughing. It started as a small chuckle, which slowly evolved into bellowing laughter. Her hands slammed down on the desk and she leaned forward slightly, blonde hair falling into her face. At the sound of her laughter, the man started to chuckle nervously. While she laughed, her hand slid over to her gun and, in a fluid motion, she went from bent over to pointing it straight at the man. Her laughter died suddenly as she did that. "Failure isn't funny," she growled before pulling the trigger twice. A bullet went to each of his knees and he fell over, a scream tearing from his lungs. She walkes over to him, that dark and serious expression from before on her face.
He tried to get to his knees, get up in anyway as he begged for his life, pleaded with her. And she let him try to get into a decent position but it didn't do him much good. She held the gun loosely in her hands as she stared down at him. "You're not even worth a joke to end you on." She brought the gun up to again, aiming it right at his head. Tears were streaming down his face, make up smearing as he apologized, pleaded. But she didn't care. She squeezed the trigger, let a bullet tear through his skull and he was gone. She watched the light leave his eyes and only then did she genuinely smile. "BABY, OTIS, DINNER!"
