Mallory waited patiently, leaning against a wall as people hurried passed. She watched them go about their little lives, scurrying here and there on their way to unimportant places. Occasionally, Mal would look down at her backpack, sitting on the ground next to her feet. It was filled to the brim with balloons filled with superglue, glitter and confetti. It was a little over the top for her taste, a little loud and flashy, but that was Aaron. Loud, flashy, look at me type stuff. It was also why she was waiting here, patiently. They had been planting a few of those things all across the city and now she was here, at the appointed time so they could move on to phase two. She liked phase two. She also liked the way Aaron caused chaos. Which was what the start of phase two would be. No one did chaos like the Trickster. Maybe the Joker, but Aaron had a flare for it that was actually funny. Well, Mallory found it funny.
She locked on to a man across the street who's arms were loaded with paperwork as he walked brusquely down the street. Mallory was bored because she was early so she decided to entertain herself. With a small turn of her wrist, she gathered up a gust of wind to torment the poor man. His papers went flying everywhere. For added effect, she blew out a small breath, causing him to stumble and drop more papers for her to play with. Twirling her finger, she sent them into a little flurry, spinning around him like his own personal snowstorm. With great futility, he tried to grab them as they flew and Mal smiled. She watched the poor man jump about, trying to gather them all. Aaron had rubbed off on her after all these years. It was petty and ridiculous and Mal would have done it again in a heart beat.
She spotted Aaron walking up to her out of the corner of her eye as she continued to torment the poor soul. "Everything all set? I've got a few extra party favors if you want to use them to kick off this little shindig."

Aaron was ecstatic, which he usually was when about to commit a crime. He had everything he needed; his trusted bat, Batsy and a duffle bag filled with explosives (non lethal ones, because when they exploded they either exploded glue, confetti or glitter). He had been planting them in various places around town making sure that no one saw him plant them, but in places where people will spot them eventually. Sure some people will say it's wrong to get people all worked up over a fake bomb threat, but it would give him and Mal the time to do what they wanted for the afternoon.
When he put down his last bomb he made his way to where he agreed with Mal where they would meet. The duffle bag was hung from his shoulder as he was walking down the street with his earphones in listening to "walking on sunshine" and had a freshly lit cigarette in his mouth. He spotted Mal and could guess she was using her powers by how she was looking at a man who's papers were flying in odd ways, he couldn't help but smirk. He removed his head phones when he approached her.
"Having fun?" he said followed by a small laugh. "You have extras!? Brilliant! I used all of mine, I put them everywhere; under neath benches, in air vents, in buses and even got one in a baby carriage." He said letting out a small giggle before continuing. "Alright now for phase 2."
He pulled out his burner cell and had 911 ready to be called. "So what do you think will be the most believable?" Aaron changed his voice to a god awful German accent. "Agent of zee HYDRA?" changed his voice again to more higher and gave himself a stutter"M-mad man wanting to g-g-get noticed?" He then lowered his voice "Or mutant terrorist?"

With a small flourish, Mal blew one of the papers directly into the guys face. Then she let her hand drop as she turned to Aaron. She gave him a small, gleeful grin to indicate that, yes, she was indeed having fun tormenting people. She reached over and grabbed one of his headphones to hear what he was listening and nodded appreciatively before letting it fall back to his shoulder.
"A baby carriage. You're gonna have to tell me how you managed that one later." She bent down and picked up her duffle, tossing it over her shoulder. She looked around one last time to see if they were getting any unwanted attention before she clapped her hands together. The sound of a thunderclap reverberated overhead and she grimaced.
"Yeah...I'm ready for Phase 2." It should be noted that Aaron was one of the only people that could make Mallory laugh. Sure she laughed at other people when she caused things to happen to them, like the poor man and his papers. But Aaron was the only person who could do it on purpose. So when he started off with his horrible impressions, she tried to hold back a laugh. But by the time he got to "mutant terrorist," she had lost the battle, her shoulders shaking and a small chortle coming out of her as she shook her head.
"HYDRA is always good for a massive panic and major response. Plus that awful accent is something I need to hear more of."

"Was actually pretty easy. A young mother was too concerned to take a selfie with her Mocca latte then to notice me hand the kid a lollipop and place one underneath him." He shrugged. There was a time and a place for selfies and when you have a kid, there are very few times and places when you can take a selfie. And none of them include ignoring your kid.
He got a grin at the sound of the thunder. He loved having a weather manipulator as a best friend. He knew she was excited about job as he was. Then again she always loved jewellery, so there would be a big reason for her to get excited. Aaron on the other hand found stealing jewels, or anything that wasn't cash. You always had to go get it fenced and only get a fraction of it's actually worth. Of course their are exceptions where he steals things because it would look good in a collection, things like an ingot of nazi gold, a eastern dragon carved out of emerald or the hope diamond, but he liked making people happy, so why not break into a jewellery store.
This also led to him loving that he could make the grumpy goose smile with joy. Actually he thought he was the only one that could make her laugh, and a life with out laughter isn't worth living.
"Alright, HYDRA it is!" He started making a display of clearing his throat and readying his voice, by coughing too loud, and saying "mi, mi, mi, mi" for way too long.
"Alright, showtime!" He whipped out his burner phone and dialled 911
"Yez, Güten tag! I am ze Kernal Kraytos und me und my men have placed zeveral of bombs across your luvely city. You better be schnel if you want to stop them. I know you whon't." He stopped the call and threw the phone in the air.
"Mal, can you blast that phone with your epic thunder powers?" He asked smiling. He always loved to see Mal use her powers, they were always awesome, no matter in what situation.

"You know what would have been funnier, is replacing the baby with a doll and seeing how long it took her to realize it wasn't her baby. Could have had a little side kick along for the job." She shrugged at him before he started dramatically clearing his throat longer than necessary. If that was a sign of things to come, she was in for a good day. She shook her head as he whipped out the phone, grinning at his antics.
She had plans with the jewelry they were going to steal. Mainly draping herself in it and feeling pretty. It was the only girlish thing she allowed herself to do. It was the only girlish thing she liked to do. Maybe fill a bathtub. Who knows. She'll figure it out when they made their great escape.
When Aaron started on his horrible German accent, she couldn't help it. She let out an actual laugh. Well it was more like a cackle that probably only helped with the phone call, but she found it hilariously bad. The clouds dissipated with her laughter and brought the sun out suddenly.
"Oh, right. One smiting coming right up." She put her hand dramatically in the air and pointed at the sky, conjuring a small, black cloud and disintegrating the phone with a strike of lightning. Then she grabbed Aaron's hand and started running while people were still very distracted by the bright light.
