Aliases/Nicknames:
Nora, Dr. Freeze (By Leandra), Ellie, Norrie, Nor, Frosty, Ice Queen, Frost, Snowball, Miss Icicle, Miss Snow, Miss Ten Below (those last three coined by herself), The Brains, Miss Freeze, Currently using her real name as an alias where she needs to
Birthplace:
Central City
Hometown/Base of operations:
Gotham/Central City
(and occasionally other places as well, but those are her main two... so I suppose mobile but, you know)
Species:
Mutate
Gender:
Female
Age:
Twenty Five [Born December 21st]
Alignment:
Villain
Affiliation:
Killer Frost Twins and Captain Cold
PHYSICAL
Height:
5'2”
Weight:
123 lbs
Hair Color/style:
Naturally black, though often dyed Blonde
Eye Color:
Brown though used to wear Icy Blue contacts. They also seem to take a ice blue sheen when she's using her ice powers.
Anything Else:
She has a couple of tattoos and her skin occasionally has a slightly ice-blue tint to it, though that's usually when thin ice is starting to spread over her skin.
Equipment and Weapons:
Cold Gun v2.0: Now, this cold gun never really worked too well until she got her powers. She'd been trying to find a way to repurpose her 'father's' old freeze ray to make it smaller, more compact, to be handled easier by the military types that were paying big bucks for a working weapon. But the problem with downsizing and down grading to be better suited for soldiers is the issue of actually making it work for longer than five seconds. Which had always been the issue. Long recharge time with a short use time. It was most so finding a proper way to charge the core than anything else. So for the longest time, the idea had been scrapped. Until she was mutated. With the ability to generate cold off of her body, and even control ice to a degree, she was able to constantly keep a charge in it if she really needed it. It's marvelous what a little bit of power can do for you, isn't it? With her gifts as a conduit to keep it powered, the Cold Gun can fire a near steady stream of Cryokinetic energy in order to hyper freeze them. It's smaller than both Mr. Freeze's and Captain Cold's Cold Guns, but still bulkier than the average gun. It can be hard for her to lift or carry some times, so she doesn't often use it. But it's pretty neat to have, isn't it? She'll probably end up giving it to either her brother or sister one of these days.
Powers:
Thermokinetic Cryokinesis: Much like the Killer Frost's of the past, most notably Louise Lincoln, Nora has the gift to generate extreme temperatures of cold from her body, going as low as sub-zero temperatures. Because of this cold, she could easily get past most thermal detectors as no living organism should be able to get their body to as cold as she is able to. For the most part, this ability seems to be used to freeze victims into place, whether it be just the feet or spread it over their body as a whole it's pretty useful. I mean, the person inside will likely freeze to death if she never unfreezes them or someone doesn't come to help but, you know, details. She can also use this to create a sheen of ice over different objects in order to break them. Such as metal, rock, etc. Through skin to skin contact, primarily lip to lip, she can push ice into a person's system or just certain parts of their body. Her powers also grant her a small amount of control over wind, primarily giving her the ability to call forth gusts of super cold air she can then use to direct such things as ice spikes, daggers, or other such things. She is able to generate and shape ice as well as snow however she so desires. Often times, like some of her predecessors, she is known to use hand gestures while using her powers to give a more theatrical effect to it all. It's not necessary for her to do things, though it makes it all so much more fun. The range she has on her attacks isn't quite known though, generally speaking, she tends to like having things in her line of vision. Contact with whatever it is that she's attacking stronger, though it's not necessary for freezing, attack, etc.
Energy Absorption: Nora is able to absorb various kinds of energy in order to convert them to cryokinetic energy. Primarily, though, it is heat energy that is best used for this. By simply absorbing the heat that is already present in the atmosphere, she is able to freeze the moisture molecules that hang in the air in order to create various effects. This can make small icy clouds or mist in an area in order to keep herself hidden as well as help her slowly start to generate snow and the like in her hand if she so chooses. The possibilities are endless.
Thermokinesis: Usually, when you picture mutants, metas, and mutates that have ice-based powers, you often think of using heat in order to bring them harm, to damage them, make them weaker, and the like. The oddest thing about most Killer Frost's though, including Nora and Leandra, is that heat doesn't damage her. No, rather, heat is something that she needs, it is an essential part of her very existence. Without heat, she could possibly die. Of course, she could probably convert cold into minor amounts of heat simply to keep her existence going, but that would be the extent of that. No, rather, using attacks based on such things like heat and fire actually strengthen her, giving her more energy to use in order to convert it into cryokinetic energy.
Resistant to Extreme Thermal Changes: Being that she is an ice-based person who is very much able to absorb heat-based attacks, she has quite a resilience in areas of both extreme heat and extreme cold.
Skills:
Engineering: Being that she was raised up to be a scientist, one of the things that she has gotten quite a bit of aptitude in is engineering. Most of her engineering prowess lies within military weaponry and advancing it to be better, to be stronger, to be something that people have never seen before. She's good at drawing up plans for different weapons, though most of them have a common denominator. They always tie back into her research into Cryonics. Yes, she likes trying to see how she can tie the two together. She's no where near being an expert but, well, she has enough know how to get her by.
Knowledge of Chemistry: She has an in-depth knowledge of chemistry as it was one of the things she had been made sure to study in college. Because chemistry was something that could very easily help with Cryonics. She likes learning the different chemical reactions that can create more chilling effects rather than explosions and the like. More than anything, she likes working with Nitrogen and chemicals with similar properties.
Expert in Cryonics: Being that she was raised by Victor Fries, it's no wonder that she ended up taking more of an interest in Cryonics than any other field of study. Cryonics is the low-temperature preservation of animals and humans in order to slow their systems to a near stop but still be alive. It is often used in order to preserve people who cannot be sustained with medication or cannot be resuscitated. It is currently thought that large animals and humans under cryostasis cannot be brought back with the world's current technology, but Nora knows better. Like I said, she's an expert in the science of it and knows how to bring people back from that other side. It's more so a question of wanting to or not.
Expert in Thermodynamics: A branch of physics concerning heat as well as general temperature and how they are related to energy and work. It is, pretty much, what she had majored in when she went to college. She had found it essential in her work with Cryonics and, later, in her work with militarizing weapons such as the cold gun. It is actually her knowledge in thermodynamics that has probably helped her the most with her powers as they seem to translate pretty well into them.
Weaponry Modification: Being that one of the things that she worked on as a scientist under private funding mostly had to do with the modifications of different weapons to have varying effects, mostly elementally based, she has quite a bit of knowledge in regards to how to modify a good bit of weapons, able to take them apart and put them back together with ease. It's just sort of her thing. Always has been. She's not really an expert in it and it does take time to make the modifications, but give her the time she needs, she can modify pretty much any weapon you give her to the specifications wanted.
Knowledge of Anatomy and Genetics: She has an in-depth knowledge of the human anatomy, right down to knowing just where every little molecule is meant to be. Anatomy and Genetics had been a very keen interest of hers growing up, probably instilled in her more so by her 'father' than anything else, and was one of the sciences that she took classes in going to school. Not like that degree is doing her any good now.
Proficient Marksmanship: While she isn't perfect, she has a proficiency with weaponry such as guns. Working with them, modifying them and the like, she clearly needed to learn how to at least use them. While guns aren't really how she cares to take care of things, she at least has an understanding of how to use them and how to hit her target if she really needs to.
Minor Hand-to-Hand Combat Skills: She has no formal training in hand to hand combat. If she had to go toe to toe with most people using just fighting skills, she'd be toast. She's the brains of the operation, essentially, while her two siblings are the brawn. They've taught her a little bit and are still teaching her how to fight. She has enough skill to get by on but, really, why is she going to use her fighting skills when she can just as easily use her powers, right?
Weaknesses:
1.) Wait, who was I again? - When she was younger and brought into the care of Victor Fries, he made damn sure that she thought she was his actual kid. He used a few hypnotherapists and a couple of other people to help effectively brainwash and seemingly wipe away some of her earliest memories. This is something she is finally starting to recover from, thanks in part to the accident that changed her as well as having her biological siblings by her side at last. She has moments where she does forget who she is, though, some repercussions from the previous brainwashing, though she'll heal up completely from it eventually.
2.) Really? Ice puns? - Now, I know what you're saying. Puns are not a weakness. Have you heard how terrible people with ice-themed powers make their puns, though? I don't care what you say. It's a weakness for her. It almost seems like a psychological need to make them from time to time. Like she wouldn't be able to function like a proper human being if she didn't slip an ice pun in here or there. It might actually kill her. Well, not really, but the way she uses them, you'd think it would. She abuses them more so when she's actively being Frostbite or Killer Frost rather than when she's being 'Leona Snart' aka Nora Fries.
3.) She's as cold as ice - The way her powers have effected her body, they have actually made her core temperature closer to freezing point than anything. To say that she's cold as ice isn't just a pun on her attitude, it's pretty factual. She is literally as cold as ice and she can make her body even colder if she really wanted to. The problem with this? It makes it hard to actually blend in properly if someone touches her. Being so cold actually has quite a few drawbacks, but it also has it's perks, so she really doesn't mind it.
4.) Warm me up, butter cup - That being said, she needs heat to live. She needs it's energy, to convert it. While she can weakly survive creating her own thermal energy, heat is essential to her very existence. Whether it comes from fire, someone else's body, or even just the normal heat put off by the sun, she needs it, or some form of energy that she is able to absorb so that she can convert it inside her body and continue living a healthy life. Well, as healthy as a crazy lady can live one, that is.
5.) Remind me, why should I care? - She has a total disregard for human life and the value of it. She doesn't see people as people. She sees them as animals, as things that are simply in her way and if they are stupid enough to get in her way, then they really don't matter. Because of this, she can be very dangerous. Her mind is corrupt, twisted, she's off of her rocker, and people should be able to see it. She lacks the empathy that most people seem to have and, quite honestly, has always lacked that empathy. Some people would consider her to be sociopathic, but she argues that, in order to be a sociopath, she would have had to been born that way. She, however, does not feel she was. No, rather, she just doesn't care enough to have empathy, therefore she lacks it.
6.) You mess with her, you mess with me - The only person, or should I say people, that she actually cares about, are her two siblings. These two people, she would do literally anything to protect or save if she thought something had happened to them. Or, at least she likes to think she would. She says she'd save them, but at the same time, she's only known them for a short while. Would you save someone you might feel you barely know? Especially if you tend to lack any sort of care for people in general. Only time will tell. But, for the moment, she thinks of them as her weakness. She just hopes no one puts this theory to the test.
7.) I don't need skills to beat you - This is sort of basic but she lacks combative skills. She's slowly learning from her siblings, but, for the most part, she's learning to rely on her powers as well as her brains in a fight rather than the actual skill itself. This means she'd be pretty easy to beat up if it came down to an actual fist fight. But, you know, you'd have to get through all of the ice first.

Personality:
THE NEW NORA
Cold: This is't just a pun because of the ice theme. Eleanora is cold and her attitude shows it. She tends to come off a bit rude and stand off-ish at times and, honestly, you can tell just how much she doesn't give a rat's ass about anyone but herself. Well, herself and her siblings, though that can be debatable. She's a bit snarky when people talk back to her and, when she's not running high on her newest scheme or crime, she doesn't seem to really show many emotions either. Outside of 'That was awesome' and 'You're annoying me, I'm going to kill you now'. She's generally apathetic towards others and even when she seems like she's feeling a bit of empathy, it's quickly frozen over. Often quite literally.
Intelligent: She's always been rather smart and I suppose a bit of a science nerd, though all that nerdiness has now been transformed into a more of a sort of calculated methodical output. She's good at thinking out plans, coming up with the tactics for different jobs, finding every out that she needs to know before hand before moving in. But, when it's called for, she is also highly adaptable. Because she knows that there are always unaccountable variables in every little thing that people do that she cannot possibly factor in. So while she might use her intelligence methodically, most of the time she needs to improvise. She supposes it's a good thing that she's pretty clever then.

THE NEW NORA
Cold: This is't just a pun because of the ice theme. Eleanora is cold and her attitude shows it. So while she might use her intelligence methodically, most of the time she needs to improvise. She supposes it's a good thing that she's pretty clever then.
Power Hungry: She is, while not necessarily too driven a criminal, a rather power hungry woman. She was given a taste for it the first time she used her powers, while not completely purposeful. The way it had felt that first time to be the one completely in control, to be the one that people feared. To be able to do things and get her way just by using a little bit of her gifts. A taste of power, and it made her want more. More power, more money, more more more. Anything that she thinks can get her more power or more money, she's likely to do. She's really only interested in her own physical and financial gain. And, being new to the whole crime scene, she's not really looking for the entire destruction of everything or to rule or to be on top, not really. She just wants fame, infamy, something that can be written down in the history books for all eternity, whether it be good or bad. And if she makes a bit of cash along her path of power and fame, that's all the better.
Wildcard: While she might be methodical, she is also somewhat unpredictable, a wildcard no one saw coming. After all, had you asked any number of the scientists who had once worked for her whether or not they thought she would become the next Killer Frost, well, I suppose no one would think that of anyone. But considering how seemingly compassionate and quiet Miss Fries had been, it seemed a bit more absurd. But with power comes corruption, and that sort of corruption was pretty quick to take hold. When a desire strikes her, she acts out on seemingly pure impulse. I suppose any Killer Frost could be thought of as a wildcard. They're next moves rarely seem to be able to be pinpointed. But that's probably how most villains like it.
Ice Puns: It goes without saying, i supposed, but Nora is one to use puns a bit too much. It's seemingly a need. And while it's not much of a personality point, it is something that she seems to have troubles with. You see, she just can't stop herself. Especially when the pun's are just laid out in front of her so perfectly. Plus, there is no better way to make an entrance than with a pun!
THE OLD NORA (AKA HER NEW MASK)
Quiet: Nora used to be that girl who would sit back in the corner. That girl no one would notice because she was so quiet, that even mice were louder than her. She used to be that girl who would simply focus on her work and nothing could really tear her from it. Even when she spoke, her tone was often quiet and soft, as if she were distracted by something or another. Or like that was all the vocal power that her vocal cords could really put out. She was only really loud when she had to be. Like when the scientists working under her direction weren't doing as they were told. That was when she'd get loud.
Driven: Once hard working, she had an actual drive for everything she did. That drive was beyond money or power. That drive used to be to do right by her father, to make him proud. To be a distinguished scientist in a magazine. And you could see her drive in the way she worked. You could see it in everything she did. Every move she made, every word she said, her drive, her passion for her work was just so beautiful. It's too bad that it's all seemingly lost now.
Seemingly Loyal: She was once a loyal girl, to a fault. Those she trusted, and that was few and far between, she would always stand beside. While she was not physically opposing, her smart tongue was usually a good thing in back talking and defending those she thought of as friends. She would back anything her friends said, so long as it seemed sound scientifically. If there was some sort of fault on those she was loyal to, she would still defend them outright, though she would later on talk to in private and fix their mistakes. This part of her seems to be lost, though it might just be hidden beneath her now frozen exterior.
Scientific Mind: She had a scientific mind, constantly working through algorithms in order to make sure that what she was working on would actually work. Mental maps of the weapons she was working on, as well as her own side work filled her head. Hypotheses as well as each variable that might need to be taken into account were things she thought about on a regular basis. And, if it could not be proven with science, then she honestly didn't believe it existed. After all, everything could be explained with some form of scientific proof in the end, even what seems to be 'super powers'. While she doesn't seem to be doing so much on the science end anymore, she does still have something of a scientific mind, especially now with what she has planned for some... human experimentation.
Seemingly Compassionate: Believe it or not, Nora used to be a compassionate girl. Or, well, she pretended she was. As she knew it was just weird that she had a hard time empathizing with people, had a hard time with real emotion. So she used to put up a front of compassion, like she cared for people because she used to think that, honestly, she should care for people. After all, people were on this earth for a reason and they were no different from her. So she should care for them, right? She's lost all compassion, though she does wear it like a mask from time to time.
History:
It is pretty much a stated fact that Leonard Snart enjoyed a lot of things, including prostitutes and hookers. What more, though, is that he used to actually have one he favored more than the rest. For a while, the usual Hooker/Buyer relationship stood strong but, as does happen when you spend your life doing what woman of the night do best, there is the occasional occupational hazard. Long story short, Snart got his hooker pregnant. Allison had always had a bit of a fondness for Leonard, he was a favored customer, always had been. And when she became pregnant with his kid, she was almost scared to tell him at first. But the one thing about Snart that seemed to be different from a lot of men like him is what could easily be called a fondness for children. Children and woman were not to be harmed in any way during the heists he used to pull, it was an unspoken rule. And, while he might not have been originally pleased with the notion, he promised to be in the child's life. While love wasn't something he believed himself capable of, he cared for Allison as much as he really could and, together, they had a baby boy.
Raising the boy with Leonard, though, Allison never really saw her self as fit for motherhood. It scared her, honestly, and she felt she was a terrible mother. A few years after the boy was born, when she learned she was pregnant again, that fear took a root deep in her head and, without so much as a good bye or a reason why, Allison had left her son behind with who she felt was the only man able to care for him. Not just that, but the only man she had ever actually loved. She went far away, making sure to leave no trail, even changing her name to Veronyca Montoya to make sure that he couldn't find her so she could give birth to his second child. Or, well, what ended up being his second and third child. Yes, twins. Two beautiful, dark haired twins. She knew that she couldn't take care of one child, though, let alone two. So she put them up for adoption, leaving them with an orphanage in Gotham, as far away from their father as she wanted to go. Before properly leaving them, though, she made sure that the matrons of the orphanage knew that they did have names. Leona Caitlin and Leandra Louise Snart. She hadn't quite thought that last little bit through, though, giving them their father's last name. She figured it was the least they deserved, though she had always hoped Leonard might not find out about them.
For the first five or so years of their existence, Leona and Leandra grew up in that orphanage, having only each other as friends. None of the other boys or girls ever seemed to want to get close to them. Some of the older kids had started nasty rumors about how their mother was a whore. Of course, they never boded well with the twins, even when they were little. Another thought that they knew the last name Snart, and made it seemed like it was a plague to have such a name. While the rest, well... with a name like Snart, you can only imagine the jokes. And yet, though it all, Leona had always tried to seem so pleasant, so polite. So delighted. She still had so much innocence, even for a girl growing up in Gotham. It was truly amazing.
It had been one day when the younger kids of the orphanage had been brought to Robinson Park to play that he first saw her. The way she acted with her sister, so innocent, so sweet, even the way she laughed seemed to remind Victor of his frozen wife. He had had plans that day to commit some crime that would help him get money to start his research back up. Just a few million more and he would have a cure, he was sure. But when he saw her, and he was reminded of Nora, he had a different idea. A better plan. When Leandra's back was turned, Victor had one of the men who was supposed to work with him on this job to lure Leona away from the others without being noticed. As soon as he had, Victor took Leona away back somewhere safe. Or, well, what he thought of as safe.
Of course, there were some issues at first. She constantly cry about wanting her sister back, wanting to go back to the orphanage. But Victor only needed her, only wanted her. And, blinded by his own delusion, he got the assistance of a few hypnotherapists and others with a background in hypnotizing and brainwashing in order to make Leona forget about everything and replace those first five years with memories as if she were actually Victor and Nora's kid. Of course, with a little research, he knew that she could probably find out that wasn't so, so there were fail-safes in order to prevent that. Little mental triggers that would guide her away from ever wanting to find out the truth. The long term effects weren't something he worried himself about. No, all that mattered was having her there and now. And, while he had to adjust his living environment so that she could live comfortably, in the end, he thought it would all be worth it.
After that, Leona Caitlin Snart was seemingly no more. In her stead was a girl by the name of Eleanora Lorraine Fries. But he would always call her Nora.
Growing up, Nora went to school like any normal girl, Victor seemingly reformed from his prior life of crime in order to raise his 'daughter'. With a little help from the right people, he had all the necessary paperwork for Nora, and even had her information put into system files to make it all seem legit. Forgeries like that were expensive, though, and he had to find real work in order to keep up supporting his daughter and himself. There were very few scientific corporations willing to hire him, but he'd found work as an assistant at Gotham University, where everyone could keep an ever watchful eye on him. He wasn't about to make a mistake now, though, not when he had bigger plans.
Everyday after school, and once all of her homework was done and completed, Victor would often spend time with her, tutoring her in various sciences that he felt she would need to know as well as making certain she slowly started to learn everything that his research had come to produce. He needed her to help him find a cure for her 'mother', for his wife. She used to think that it was all that she could ever want and she would promise her 'daddy' that she would do anything in order to find the answer that he had always been searching for. She was a daddy's girl, that was for sure. And, truth be told, he actually came to start genuinely caring for the girl. It was because of him that she became so interested in cryogenics, thermodynamics, as well as the weapons side of the two. Let's just say she found his cold gun one day and started getting very curious.
Once she got into high school, he started dying her hair. He'd convinced her that she would look better blonde. And while it might have seemed weird at first, when she saw herself as a blonde for the first time, she was in love with her own appearance. She finally looked like she was really a member of this family. She looked like her mother, or so she thought. Her poor, 'sleeping' mother... Soon, she was dying her hair on her own, preferring it to her natural color. High school was a breeze, and with her father's help, she ended up graduating a year early at the age of sixteen. Scholastically, she had been far ahead of most of her classmates, especially in her science classes. It was actually in science that she had applied to Gotham University to study. And it was her seemingly advanced knowledge of them that had scored her a scholarship there as well.
It was soon after starting college that she started having an occasional dream, memories of a childhood she had never known. And in those dreams, there was always a girl, one who seemed to mirror her appearance, though not quite her personality. Though young, every time she had the dream, she could tell that they'd been close. However, usually, she thought that it was just a preposterous dream. Nothing of import would come from them, surely. After all, they were just mechanization of her own mind. The only thing that bugged her, though, were the names she'd wake up whispering. Leona. Leandra. Who was Leona? Who was Leandra? These had been questions she'd brought up to her father once, though he had brushed them off. She was just having silly dreams.
She was seventeen when the Battle happened, though it didn't have a real effect on her, aside from getting her out of school for a day. And though most people were seemingly sat in front of their television watching it happen, she was with her father down in his icy lab running experiments and learning, doing her studies or homework that wouldn't be due for days, maybe even weeks to come. Just because people were dying, so called heroes and villains alike, did not mean that she had to give a rats ass about what happened to them? What they ended up doing? No, she cared about her education, about making a difference in this world. Though it was at one point, and one point alone, that she did take a break to watch a little bit of the fighting that had started planting the seeds for an idea. For the militarization of her father's Cold Gun.
She was about twenty when she started her grad work, working towards her doctorates. It was also during this time that she began interning at a science lab in Gotham who were working with cryonics and thermodynamics. They'd seen her grades and her thesis in the apertures of thermodynamics and how it could be used to create a better class of weapons for soldiers. It was already proven that such things as guns that generated beams of ice and even heat. If they themselves could just figure it out, imagine how much money they could earn in funding alone. For the first three years of her grad degree, they worked on it in private. During her time away from the lab and school, though, she was working on a cure for her mother.
Over the years, though, something had started happening to Victor. Slowly, he felt he was deteriorating. Already, he could feel it in his hands, need to rely more on robotics than anything else to use them. After some tests, they learned that, without some form of a cure, he'd likely deteriorate into nothing. With what she liked to think was a little bit of thought, she convinced her father that she would be able to find the cure that he wanted for mother. But not just that, but she could find a cure for him, too. With a little faith, some day they would be awakened and reunited. It was a bit harder due to his already sub-zero temperature need, but Nora succeeded in putting him under cryostasis, further slowing the deterioration to a near stop while he slept along side his wife.
At first, she had continued searching for a cure, but upon graduating with her doctorate at the young age of twenty four, and getting hired on full time at the lab, she slowly started to steer away from that. Finally having enough to go off of, and even a few personal 'connections' to an actual Cold Gun, they started working on an actual gun. The government, of course, found out about their work. And, with a bit of a proposal on the scientists' part, they struck up a deal to make functioning Cold and Heat Guns for the US Military if they were needed. They would be better than any Atom Bomb or Nuclear Warhead they could every drop because these wouldn't cause nearly as much radiation. Or so they liked to think.
For six months, she worked day in and day out. For six months, everything seemed like it was going fine. She had one semi-working prototype that she was just trying to make better, so that the military could properly use it. For six months, things were going great. And then it happened.
She had just turned twenty five and, instead of out partying like a normal girl probably should have, she had decided to stay at the lab over night to do some more tests and try to make the gun work properly. She'd been the only one left, aside from the janitor, and was working diligently, constantly going from the coolant vat to one of the work tables and back again. The room was cold, often chilled to keep the chemicals she worked with just right. That and, well, she was so used to colder temperatures because of her father's lab that it usually slipped her mind that the other scientists might not like it. Everything seemed to be going just fine up until she heard an alarm go off, for barely a moment, before shutting off. That had her on high alert as she picked up the gun she was working on like it was her only defense. That was when she saw them. Two people: a man and a woman. She had been ready to waste her single shot but had hesitated. The girl bore a stunning resemblance to herself. It caught her off guard at first, long enough to get kicked. They'd been trying to get her to drop the gun but, rather, she ended up jerking and accidentally pulling the trigger. The frosty stream froze over the coolant vat and it broke, pouring over them. She doesn't remember much of what happened next. She swore she had gotten hit again. And someone hitting a button, though it was all a bit blurry. The last thing she really remembered was a flash of a bright light before everything went ice cold and dark.
Three days later, when they all finally came too, the scientists of the lab had been walking in after the weekend and yelled at the sight. There were three people on the floor. Herself, the guy, and what she could only assume was a doppelganger. Nora had slowly opened her eyes and sat up. Which was probably what really made them all freaked out. She was as cold as ice and oh, how she was annoyed. She had gotten her first taste of power that day as she and the 'doppelganger' froze each and every one of the scientists with a power they didn't even know they ever had. While Nora had wanted to smash them all to pieces, the man stopped her, saying that there wasn't any need for it. With a snarl, she grabbed the gun she'd been working so hard on all of these years and ran with the girl and the guy.
It was weird, though, when they'd all gotten away, the girl went to say something and all Nora could think to do was hug her. Like she knew her. But... she couldn't know her, right? Those memories from her dreams were flashing through her head again. Leandra. That was the other girl's name. That was her... twin... Her sister. That person she had felt she'd been missing all of her life. This was her. And while she didn't quite know the man, she'd come to learn he was her brother, her real brother. Her real family. While she might not have completely trusted them, she figured 'what the hell, they're family, right?' And for the last six months, on and off, they'd been working together. Her brother, Captain Cold. Her and her sister, Frostbite and Coldheart. Well, at least on their own. But together? Oh, together, those two girls went by a different name...
Killer Frost.

You're as cold as ice and you never take advice
Eleanora's usually brown eyes seemed to have a blue gleam to them as she smirked. She had a brown sack over her shoulder as a thin layer of ice slowly started to spread down over her body, clothes, and hair, the same frosty tint covering her entire body, even the bag. She stood outside of the bank for just a moment, looking from one side to the either. People weren't really seeming to pay her much attention. Stupid Little Gothamites. They'd always been slow, though, she knew that. She'd always known that. It was pretty much lesson number one that good old Doctor Fries had taught her when she was younger. Most of them had a 'if it doesn't effect me, i don't really care what happens' policy. That was how they'd always worked. And oh how she loved it!
With a smooth sort of confidence, she strutted right into the bank, whistling the 'Snow Miser' song. You all know how it goes, don't you? 'I am miss white chrismas. I am miss snow. I am miss icicle. I am miss ten below,' she thought along to her own whistling, changing the lyrics ever so slightly in order to make them fit her. They were perfect, weren't they? The lyrics? The song. Oh so beautiful. There were people inside, everywhere, not a single one even paying her a smidgen of attention. Good. That meant this was going to be so much easier than it was already going to be.
Taking the bag off of her shoulder, she spun it in the air and looked over towards the doors. Her other hand came up and made a slow sweeping gesture, watching as ice started to grow nicely over the doors. Thin at first though, as it spread, grew thicker and thicker in order to keep it from being opened. She'd already done the same outside to the other exits. Sure, the ice might start to melt away slowly, but by then, she'd be done with it all and on her way. People still hadn't quite noticed, too lost in their own worlds as they talked to the teller. Good. Time for the show.
"Everybody... FREEZE!" Nora shouted, one hand going out and making ice spread along the ground so that it could cover the feet of the men and woman inside of the bank. There was a twisted little smile on her lips as she started to chuckle. "Get it?" she laughed. "I'm so clever. Now, if I were all of you, I'd stay where you are because, well, anything goes wrong, I can assure you all, people will be missing you. Just not me."
