A new prize had just been discovered. A sculpture that was encrusted with some of the biggest gems Max had ever seen. It was on loan from Italy to Star Labs to see if they could identify it and who might have done it. All archaeologists and anthropologists came up with nothing. Already Max had figured out how to get in and out with the statue. He'd pull the gems off and sell them while keeping the statue for himself. He didn't need or care about the money. He just wanted the challenge. Well he was contemplating keeping one gem for a particular reason but was still on the fence.

He was coming straight from the FriendLink office, one of the few times he and Izzy travelled separately. She had some other business to attend to, checking on sites for new potential offices as well as meeting with an advertiser. Usually Max could wear potentially advertisers down but occasionally he had trickier ones. In that case he'd send her to woo them. Should her curves and sex appeal fail, which was rare, she had her pheromones to confuse and hypnotize them. He was still wearing the skinny jeans and his hoodie as he walked into his house. It was the larger one in the middle of the forest he preferred. He was planning on having the rest of the Gang meet him here. He also wanted to discuss new potential Jacks. In his mind however there was only one.

But as he walked into his house he was still talking to Izzy on his phone, unaware of what else was going on.

"Listen Izz, I don't care what they say or do. They're worth a lot of money. Besides at the end of the day you're going to feed them to your plants while we roll around naked on the money we steal from them.........well ok maybe not roll in the....what?"

He picked up on the scent of blood. He looked down and his three servants were laying their with their throats slit. A low growl came from his throat as he let his claws grow.

"Someone has killed my servants. They're still here too. Get here n...."

There was a gagging sound and then the phone fell and the call ended. Now his broken phone and bloody hoodie had joined the three dead servants in the entry way.

There is no such thing as justice

Izzy didn't often mind having to work with the advertisers, though they were certainly annoying to her. She knew how to work them over when Maximus wasn't able to, knew when to up the pheromones or when to touch someone where her chemicals can seep into their skin. She knew everything she had to in order to keep them in the palm of her hand if and when the usual switch of the hips or flip of the hair didn't seem to be doing it for someone. She had her glasses case in her bag, ready to take her glasses off when the men arrived but, for the moment, she had Max to keep her occupied.

"I don't see what the big deal with these guys is," she grumbled into her phone. She kept glancing around from time to time in order to see if her 'guests' were arriving, however she didn't currently see hide or tail of them. Not even the plants seemed to have felt them, yet, which was just a tad bit troubling. These men were already ten minutes late and she was dreading having to stand here much longer. At least she had the distraction. She chuckled softly at his words, shaking her head as if he could see it. "I'm not sure that would be... appropriate, Mister Regim," she mused. That wasn't necessarily saying she wouldn't love to do so, though.

Just as the words left her lips, the men she had been waiting for appeared. A hand came up to tell them to wait a moment as Max said something else. The woman froze, her facial features dropping at the words. "Max? Max!" The line had already went dead on her. "Shit," she muttered. Pressing the button on the side of the phone to turn it off quick, she slipped it into her bag and looked to the men. "I'm sorry, boys, but we're going to have to reschedule this. There's an emergency that I must attend to." She didn't let her worry show through as she stepped closer to them. Pushing a bit of concentrated pheromones to her lips, she kissed each of the men gently on their cheeks, making sure her lips were close enough to their lips to make the pheromones work quickly. Their eyes dilated before looking lovingly towards her. "Next week, three o'clock. Be on time, okay?" They both nodded their heads. "Until then, I'm going to borrow your car. Is that alright?" Loving 'mhmm' and cooed 'go right ahead' came from the men. All that wanted was to get closer. She smiled sweetly as the older looking of the two held out a set of car keys. She took them and headed right off.

Once she found the car, she was off, not seeming to care about speed limits. It was almost masterful how she maneuvered through the streets. She knew that if someone pulled her over, she would just use her pheromones on them to make them leave her be. A hand came up to the side of her head to touch a button on the glasses as she pulled up into his driveway. How long it took, she wasn't even sure at this point. "Send text to Ten and Ace. Text start: Emergency at the King's. Report immediately. Come armed. End text," she said. The words for the text message flashed across her glasses before the word 'sent' did. Good, that was all taken care of, the glasses were tossed to the side as she shut the car off and slid out a few yards away from the house. She let her skin go to it's more natural green so she wouldn't have to focus on it before slipping through the trees, slowly nearing the house. She started calling for the plants around her to grow towards her, ready to use them if someone attacked. 'Maximus, you better be okay in there.'

Board meetings, why did it always seem to be board meetings. Granted, these days they went a lot smoother, since they didn't want to end up bring thrown out a window like the last man dumb enough to speak out against Mr. Stane. Still, he found them so dreadfully dull and always wished he didn't need to deal with them. However, he'd promised Maximus that he wouldn't throw anymore of his hand picked board members off the top floor and as such he needed to at least play the part of the business tycoon.

On this day they would be discussing the possible movement into the market that, up until now, had been held only by Stark Industries. With some minor modifications here and there Stane International had managed to find a way to skate the patent laws and come out with their own type of ARC Reactor that they claimed would out perform the current Stark versions. Granted, he knew that Virginia would send her pack of lawyers to the front door of STANE International but he also knew that his own lawyers were ready to counter their claim and win.

Ezekiel sat with his feet kicked up on the large table as he waited for the board to come in. However, as he did his secure line buzzed. He brought up the screen and quickly read the text from Queen. His eyes went wide as his mind began to switch over to Zeke. While he had no real love loss for Maximus, he still owed him a great deal and now someone had dared to come onto their turf. No, this was unacceptable. He slowly stood, removing his glasses and ruffling his hair a bit. He hit a button on the table and spoke curtly. "Deborah... Tell the board the meeting has been canceled... I have matters to attend to and will be out of the office for the rest of the day...:

Before the woman had a chance to respond Zeke was already on the move to his private elevator down to a sublevel. There he had both sets of his armor waiting for him and after a moments pause he stepped within the ACE Armor. The massive armor closed around the man and as the helm closed over his head the HUD came up and the red eyes flickered to life. Within moments he was flying through the air towards where Queen was. He arrived not long after Queen and began circling high about the home, scanning it as he did so. He then opened up the secure comm line to his Queen to notify her of his arrival. "Queen, your ACE is here... I am above King's Home and making scanner sweeps. I am prepared to make entry but I warn you... The home will be quite damaged if I do so... I await your decree."

With that Zeke continued to fly around until he received his orders...

Henri had been getting rather bored, staring at a screen all day. Media monitoring was apparently something Max thought she could do. She played with the wheels of her wheelchair, rocking back and forth a bit while she double checked every mention of Max or his company. Most of it was just so inane, she wanted to slam her head onto the desk. There were a few she'd shoot off to some investigative department that seemed like they could be trouble, but most of it was just a giant bitchfest. All people seemed to do was complain. Complain, complain, complain. She filed a few of the complaints in a special folder after doing some research on the people who did the complaining, marking them for further looking into. It was definitely outside of the law, what they'd do with that research, but that was always the fun part. At least she wasn't stuck listening to some idiot drone on in a board room. She probably would have lost her mind in there.

It was time for a break. She was starting to get a headache from staring at the screen for so long. She spun one of her wheels to turn the chair around before heading out of her office. Of course, she really didn't need the wheelchair anymore thanks to Max, but she still used it when she was out and about in "civilian mode" as it were. She had grown accustomed to certain reactions from people, mainly they got the hell out of her way when she was rolling along. And it was good publicity for Max, she filled three little arbitrary boxes by working for him in such a capacity.

She was halfway to the elevator when her phone buzzed with a text from Izzy. She knew she shouldn't exactly be happy that there was an emergency, but she was definitely glad for the excuse to leave the office for the day. She rolled right up to the receptionist and tapped her hand on desk. "I am going to be out of zhe office for zhe rest of zhe day. Zhere is an offsite emergency I must attend to. I will not be available." She started rolling again toward the elevator, waving a goodbye. "Hold all of my calls!" she said as she spun around and backed into the open elevator. She dropped all the way down to the garage and headed for her car. Quickly, she put the chair in the trunk, changed and armed herself, then ported into the driver's seat and headed to the coordinates.

She pulled up behind Izzy's car and shut it off, not even bothering to open the door as she ported out. "I am 'ere, Queen. What is zhe plan?" She walked slow and steady up next to Izzy, not wanting to port next to her and risk getting attacked by plants.

Max's teach had arrived, just as instructed. Henri was an interesting case as well as Zeke. But the really peculiar one was Izzy, his Queen. The boy had fallen for her. He should know better than to fall for the help. Oh well, he'd had a rather lax upbringing. But Max will learn his place. He was learning his place now in fact. Pinned to a wall with his own sword through his stomach and his toes barely grazing the ground. WHat a pity he hadn't inherited his father's own healing ability. But the exploding ability was hard to argue. It certainly had its uses, only some of which Max had truly understood. As Zeke scanned for bodies inside the man was grateful for Max's paranoia and ensuring that any of his Ace's scans wouldn't penetrate his home.

But now was time to deal with the three and let them learn who the boss truly was. The front door slowly swung open allowing the smell of blood and death to roll out. From inside, in the darkness was just a set of glowing eyes, similar to that of a wolf watching prey from the shadows, waiting to strike. All at once the eyes turned and disappeared back into the darkness, A small twist of the sword and Max let out a scream through gritted teeth. He didn't want to give his attacker that satisfaction but his own body was betraying him. Yes, a very lax childhood. The attacker then simply sat down and waited patiently, an evil grin spreading across his face.

Max's attempt at fighting back hadn't fared well or lasted long. He'd lashed out as soon as he smelled the attacker's presence. The slash with his claws had stunned the attacker but it wasn't long before he was over powered and really simply, out-classed. One swipe and a lucky punch and he was over powered. Beaten with the hilt of his own sword and pinned to the wall. Now the attacker waited, Max trying to figure out a way out of this without blowing up his house and Izzy.
