Jor was humming "Them Bones" as he worked on James. He had managed to temporarily stabilize the super soldier enough that he could attempt to repair some of the damage. He could tell that much with his own eyes. The man's aura stopped dimming long enough for Jor to think he had a chance. A few well placed low level heat vision blasts and Jor was able to remove the rest of James' costume. He and the two other robots worked with tools now, attempting to knit the cells of James' organs back together. The sounds from the other Avengers and Lydia came and went in the background. Jor simply blocked them out as he administered a painkiller and anesthetic he formulated for the man's enhanced physiology.
A cursory examination of Captain America with x-ray vision told Jor that while James was in excellent shape, some of the injuries he possessed were concerning. If Jor did not know his line of work, he would wonder if the man wrestled city buses for a living. He ran the scanner over him again and noted that the regenerators were starting to take effect. The organ damage was repairing itself at a rapid pace, using Cap's own physiology to assist in the repairs.
The exchange of words between the Avengers and Lydia concerned him. If a fight broke out in here, it would not be a fun thing. It would also endanger Captain America's life. That would not do at all. He ceased his humming and spoke without looking up from his work. "I realize that your emotions are running high due to a traumatic event, but if you could refrain from fighting, that would be best for my patient. I could suggest several other options to sort out your feelings including playing video games, reading or warm hugs. Thank you in advance for your cooperation."

Here's to being human and taking it for granted She felt Lydia put an arm around her and, without much of a thought, she leaned against the girl for comfort. Ginnie didn't like seeing the people she cared about like this. It always hurt her in places of her heart she rarely believed truly existed. After all, the heart didn't actually dictate emotions, not on a biological level. Yet it was always the heart that was pained, like it genuinely was some how connected to how she truly felt about things. She didn't want to look, didn't want to see, but with Lydia holding her, she felt like she should. Her eyes slowly turned back to where Jor was operating on James and she could feel herself physically wince. She hoped he'd be okay. There were plenty of things she hadn't yet gotten to do or say. And, well, the last couple of times they'd talked, it'd been back and forth between pleasantries and fighting. She didn't want things to be left like that. T'shan was being obedient, finally, though she could hear the sarcasm in his voice. She wasn't really going to care that much for it. No, she had said her piece, she wasn't going to start a fight. If T'shan couldn't handle it, then he could leave. She didn't need him here if all he was going to do was start trouble. She looked over at Aileen a second as she heard her name being said. She knew what that meant. Aileen was pretty much telling her to stop. But Ginnie was already done with the argument. Her next words to T'shan if he didn't drop were going to simply be 'leave'. She did, however, take Aileen's hand as it came across Lydia and squeezed it before burying her head into Lydia's shoulder. While she hated always being the shortest, it did have certain benefits. Like always being able to hide against other people on the rare occasions she might need to. She heard Jor finally speak up about the fighting and she blanched a moment. "Dreadfully sorry," she said in a weak voice. "It's not usually like this. It's just... you know... I take responsibility for the fighting and I will stop. I don't want anything to happen to him, or you for that matter, while you're doing your work." She paused a moment again. He was right, they all needed to chill. But she wasn't going to leave this room until she was sure that James was safe. "I must ask, just how much internal damage is there?"The highs and lows of living, to getting second chances. ✿

Lydia reached up, slowly rubbing Aileen's back as the taller woman practically melded herself to her side, she tried to be of some comfort. She knew what Jor was doing was rather unsettling, but necessary. That was the whole reason why she'd called him here after all. And he was right, of course, starting a fight now while Jor was trying to save the very reason they'd all gathered here was rather pointless. As soon as Ginnie burrowed her head into Lydia's shoulder and completed the little circle of comfort, her hand went to Ginnie's head, cradling it there. From her reaction to the whole thing, she could tell Marty had been right. There was at least something going on between Ginnie and James. He just didn't feel the need to share it with her. She'd interrogate him about it later, after he was conscious, and not bleeding to death.
Then she looked over at the Asgardian from her little circle of protection rather hesitantly before answering. "Well, before he was Captain America, he was pretty secret about what he did. Even I didn't know. Phil knew. Neither of them talk about it. Though anyone good enough to make him an enemy would likely be very good. Good enough to hid themselves from JARVIS at any rate, I'd imagine."

The situation seemed to have almost calmed itself, but Aileen winced against Lydia as she heard the thunderclap. They didn't need him losing control of his powers right now. "T'Shan..." She whispered, both in response to his words and the thunder. He couldn't actually think of himself as an underling, could he? He was a part of the team, they all were. She actually found herself hoping he was just being catty to Ginnie, through her. Which still wasn't really a good thing. She felt herself choke up slightly as Lydia rubbed her back and Ginnie squeezed her hand, and held onto the two of them like they were her lifeline.
She winced again at Jor's words. Not because she saw anything wrong with them, but because he was right, and Ginnie and T'Shan fighting was really what they didn't need. And also because she was pretty sure all of them needed a hug right now, but she wasn't prepared to leave Ginnie and Lydia, and it didn't look like T'Shan would be welcome or want to join in their little huddle. Still, T'Shan seemed to be finally back to normal, asking questions about who might have done this and their capabilities. Somebody looking to hurt James because of his dad? If Aileen's mind hadn't been overtaken by worry still, even now that James was getting medical attention, she might have been able to consider the idea more objectively. The worry that whoever it was could get into the Tower and do it again to her or one of her friends didn't help, either.
Aileen looked over again at James as Ginnie asked how bad the damage was. She didn't even care that he was naked, she just wanted to see if he was doing any better or worse. He was still bloody, and she couldn't see too much, but it looked like the lasers had helped, despite how horrific they were to see. "Yeah, how bad is he?" She said, her voice still not much more than a whisper.

T'Shan was pacing back and forth. He was still upset and the weather outside proved just that. While the thunder and lightning were dying down outside the rain was still pouring. Was he upset because he'd grown close to James? Sure James was a warrior, T'Shan respected that. But at the same time he was also the enemy. The last thing he needed or wanted was to go 'native'. Sure it'd be simple enough. Kill this universe's T'Shan and Skugga and take his place. This T'Shan was weakened enough that quickly ending him would take no more than a minute. Perhaps he could go after Aileen. He glanced over at her, nice form. Not quite the same as the one he knew, but different was sometimes nice. Still, he saw the warrior's form hidden under those clothes.
As they asked about how he was T'Shan snorted with a light chuckle.
"Captain is too stubborn to die. Not to mention, and I do apologize in advance, but think logically. Think from a warrior's view. If someone had the means and the skill to get in and out of here undetected and get the drop on Captain America, he, or she, could have easily ended his life. No, this was to send a message. It is basic tactics. Infiltrate an enemy camp and cause mayhem. Burn crops, destroy supplies, steal weapons, maim their bravest warrior, it is as the Midgardians say, warfare 101. Look at the bullet wounds, I am sure the Kryptonian would verify. If treated soon enough those are not life threatening. The shots were not random, they were done by a master marksman. They avoided most major organs and arteries."
He said examining Captain America as best he could over and around Jor and his robots. He knew Captain would survive. He'd have lots of rehab to do, but he'd survive.
"Marvel, perhaps it is best that 'Phil' begin compiling a list of possible enemies with the means to do this. We need to know what we are up against."
He said crossing his arms. The storm outside was now no more than a light rain. He was upset, but also enjoying this. Of course he knew exactly WHO had done it. You don't encounter the Winter Soldier and live without knowing what to look for.

The Avengers had finally calmed down. Jor supposed that was understandable given the situation. "It's fine. I am only performing life saving surgery on Captain America. I can still do several other things here at the same time. Perhaps, we could make MASH references while I do this. I enjoy your television programs." Jor used his heat vision to close another artery that was bleeding, then began running a tool over James that emitted a blue light.
"Hm. Usually humor is employed to break tense situations. I will have to work on adapting my sense of humor. I am decidedly unfunny. Perhaps, I should have brought Flash in for a consult."
After a few moments, Jor had decided that enough of the tissue damage had been repaired in the his body to declare him stable for the moment. "The bullets did not destroy any organs, though one or two were nicked. I have gone ahead and fixed that. He is stable currently, but will require more work. As doctors would say, he's not out of the woods yet. I am convinced that he will live, however." He turned and spoke in Kryptonian to one of the robots and it picked up James' hand for him and brought it to Jor. Jor held it and scanned it with his microscopic vision.
"To be quite honest, he wasn't in the best shape before this. My scans have discovered that his body shows signs of repeated abuse. Breaks, bruises, internal scarring. Even with his enhanced physiology, this is quite concerning. It looks like he has been wrestling tanks on a weekly basis. If Captain America had limits, I would say he has not adhered to them for a very long time. His ribs were recently cracked. I'm not sure if anyone knew about that."
The Kryptonian probe placed the hand inside a small box. The weapon had somehow disrupted the cells inside the hand and left them all damaged. Even if Jor could reattach the limb, he suspected it would never function right again or at all for that matter. "I am going to be working for some time. I am sure that none of you have an appetite, but you should make an attempt to drink some water and take care of yourselves. I am not accepting other patients today."
