Enrique watched the entire scene completely collapse and sighed. This is why he was glad he wasn't the leader anymore. Well technically he never actually had been, his replacement was. But even he felt that was a terrible choice. He wasn't leadership material, not yet at least. Could he lead a small squad or even be second in command? Sure, he could pull that off. But leading the entire team, no. That simply wasn't his style, he wasn't that good. He simply rolled his eyes and shook his head.
"Sí Barry, llama a la mujer que te quiere muerto puta..."
He said shaking his head.
"Lydia is right. Let's ALL calm down. Everyone's on edge...for whatever reason. We can all calm down, eat something, watch some movies and get to know each other. Then we'll all see it's a big misunderstanding."
He said with a smile. He was trying to play peace keeper. He wasn't good at much else and also didn't feel like having a Teen Titans vs X-Men fight on their front lawn. Especially since that'd bring down the higher ups and no one wanted that. Angry Justice League and X-Men would not be helpful. The Titans were likely already being watched heavily given how easily they'd all been replaced, two of them for a year.
He didn't know exactly why she was attacking Barry and Walt, also didn't particularly care either. As far as he could tell they didn't even know who she was. meaning it was highly unlikely they'd wronged her somehow. So maybe she was confusing them with someone else.

Edward was about to mutter a warning to Kayleigh to not do anything when he heard her comment towards the speedster, but decided against it. Sure, it was a risk having her around the Flash, after things involving her mother that he still hadn't got the full details of, but he was trusting her not to do anything, and he didn't want to embarrass her in front of the others. Then she aimed a punch at the kid and Edward sighed, already stepping towards her. Sure, the Flash guy had dodged it, but still, it wasn't a great way to start their evening. "You calm the heck down," He muttered, stepping in to practically hiss into her hear, his hands ready to restrain her if she tried again, not that she'd like that, "And if you try that again, I will suggest we play truth or dare." It was an unusual threat, and not one that would make sense to many people, but he knew Kayleigh would get the underlying meaning behind it.
Honestly, Edward wasn't sure how disappointed to be about Kayleigh's next actions. Sure, she was instantly unfriendly and told them she wanted to hit them, but she was at least polite to Lydia and Enrique, which he supposed was good for her. Still, she really had to calm down, or she'd just make this night more awkward than it already was. But still, with Sebastian at least, she was saying kind of what he was thinking. Just for different reasons. He saw her look as he stayed close, but he suspected that she didn't mind as much as she pretended to. Had it been anyone else, he might have squeezed their shoulder or something, but he didn't feel like breaking an arm just yet.
He could feel the tension rising as the others reacted to what Kayleigh had said, and he almost winced as Lydia and Jor attempted to lay down the law, but still, he felt like he should be backing them up. Why was he forced to be the rational and calm one out of the two of them? He was not a rational or calm person. "Food sounds like a great idea," He said quickly as Lydia suggested it, and only partially because his stomach was growling. If Kayleigh had her mouth full, she at least couldn't piss people off quite as much. Hopefully. He sighed as Enrique said something about a bitch, but he wasn't going to point that. "Yeah, I think we should all calm down," He said through only slightly gritted teeth. He hated playing peacemaker, "Bring on the food and films." And hopefully they'd be a lot friendlier soon.

”Yeah, well, I have more experience than you and the last Barry Allen I knew was a total prick. And pretty similar in appearance, and the Flash… why’d you drop the codename?” Kayleigh shot Barry another birdy for that insult. She knew full well she wouldn’t be able to get a punch on him now- she might be reckless but she wasn’t moronic. With what seemed to be all the Teen Titans ready to stop her in the event of a proper fight, any blows would come back to hit her hard. ”Also, don’t use sexist slurs. I won’t call you a dick and in exchange you don’t call me bitch, c***, or anything else that relates to my being female. Unless of course, you call be a bitch again.” Even Kayleigh couldn’t deny the irony in that statement. In fairness, however, it was a fair exchange given her proceeding comment. One insult about her gender for one about his. Next time he’d get a lot more.
”Ah, time out, I’m so scared. And fuck you.”
Kayleigh’s eyes flicked straight over to Ed’s- which meant looking into the sunlight and removing some of the protection her sunglasses provided. She held up one hand to defend her eyes from the light- pretty rapidly- and drew the other hand back too, but that was at his comment.
It shouldn’t be her pissing other people off that should worry Ed so much as her driving them to fight back. That was a real issue. And Edward should know full well that she could piss people off no matter how able she was to talk at the time.
She shot Lydia and Jor each a glare- Jor the more threatening one- and huffed again. There was no need to say it was Ed’s words that made her reaction. ”Can I at least put them in the entrance hall or something? You do not want people getting their hands on nth metal freely; I have enough Hath-Set as it is.” Kayleigh knew they’d see that as just an attempt to keep her mace unless she put one of them in charge over it. So she chose the only one who she was fairly sure wouldn’t really piss her off and make her regret this later. ”Marvel gets jurisdiction.” She was still hoping she could salvage some of the weaponry before they got inside. It seemed a reasonable hope.
Kayleigh could detect that everyone was judging her pretty heavily right now. She sighed just a little, crossed her arms over and then sighed again. ”Look, I don’t know how these two flashes lasted so long- or even why you guys both look so different- seriously what the heck does the speed-force get up to, and weren’t you at least-“ She pointed at Walt. ”From a parallel dimension, Dark Flash? But I know that you pissed me off then and I will kick your faces in if you piss me off now.” That was the calmest explanation anyone could reasonably expect from her on this. That was also the most explanation they could expect, probably.
”Before you ask, yeah, I am Hawkgirl and no you may not call me that. It’s bloody fucked up that I used to be defined by my powers and my sex- and Khufu got to be Hawkman so why was I named like a kid?” Hopefully that would refrain them from that.

Walt burst into agreeable laughter at the use of the phrase "Dark Flash".
Speaking through his near-hysterics, he repeated it. "Dark Flash..." He finished his chuckling and smiled all the brighter afterwards. "I like it! And don't you worry. Whatever my otherworldly hypothetical doppelganger may have done to displease you, I don't intend to repeat his mistakes." He looked directly at Kayleigh, still wearing a sincere expression of potentially-overbearing friendliness. He had a habit of making fast friends with people who wouldn't mind killing him- Tricky, Fries, and now the girl with the mace- and so far, he hadn't had reason to regret it.
Next he turned to Danvers. "Well, lookit that, Care-Bear! Even the newcomers have the instinct to defer to your maternal authority!" Turning to Ed (he already thought of him as "Ed", although he decided to refrain from buddying up for as long as possible for fear of agitating their relative peace,) and Kayleigh. "You can trust her with the mace, and anything else. She's managed all of us for years." He could usually make Danvers smile, and he felt that now would be a proper time to try.
Next he spoke to Superboy- particularly addressing his "please punch me in the face" comment.
Smiling curiously at him, Walt joked, "Yeah, he's... he's nice like that."
Finally, taking pains not to agitate Seb or Rapidash (whom he considered to be among the 'fallback' team in terms of welcome-waggoning) with his jokes, he turned to face the Tower, theatrically taking the younger speedster's arm as he did.
"Let us escort our visitors inside, young Master Allen, if it pleases you," he said in his best impression of gentry. Then, when they were far enough away from the group, he whispered, in the mixed tone of gentle sternness he had learned from his older siblings: "Please be civil, or failing that, quiet, or failing that, please embarass us in some way that doesn't turn us both into carrion, alright?"

now i can't seem to breathe right cause i keep running
Barry sighed as he listened to everything going on and when Enrique said something in Spanish Barry slow turned his head and tilted it a bit. "I'm pretty sure if I could understand that I'd be offended..." That aside he went back to keeping an eye on the winged wonder and making sure no more fists were going to be flying at his head. However he was soon addressed by said winged person and when she spoke Barry felt his original calmness beginning to fade. Suddenly, the immature facade disappeared and the other side of Barry came to the forefront. "First, you insult my father again, I don't care who you claim to be or how many lives you say you've lived... There isn't a person here who'll stop me shutting your beak..."
He knew that someone would jump on his case for that but honestly, he'd have said the same if she'd insulted any member of his actual family, or those he considered family. "Second, don't start swinging on people you only just met and maybe I'll consider refraining from calling things how I see them..." He was fuming and if anyone knew how bad that was it would be his cousin Wally. A sudden arcing of yellow would flash through his eyes, and he felt it. That was what snapped him out of it, that and Wally being Wally. He turned and looked at his partner in crime and smirked. "Why yes Master West, I do believe we should..." With that Barry made a mocking bow and 'this way' gesture much like a butler would before turning to head back inside. He paused one last moment to look at Kayleigh and smirk, "Oh, and we've lasted this long because we were trained well and know what we're doing... In my case I was born into it... The joys of being the son of The Flash..."

The scene was rapidly slipping from controlled to chaotic. Jor was immediately searching for a way to quickly disable Hawkgirl. A few quick scans of Kayleigh were made to determine her physiology. A brief thought about using heat vision to temporarily disable her came to mind, but was pushed aside. Then Lydia spoke and brought the whole thing in line with help from Rapidos. Jor offered Enrique a friendly smile and nod. He didn't know the boy as well as he would have liked, since Jor had discovered it was a doppelganger he'd befriended, but he would take the time to get to know them all over again.
As Hawkgirl glared at Jor, a small sheen of sweat broke out on his forehead. He felt slightly dizzy for a moment and then looked around. Nothing was different. He did feel a little warmer, but the Kryptonian boy supposed that was to be expected during a summer day. Once Barry and Walt walked away, Jor had decided that the situation was in hand. The mace had been turned over to Lydia. Jor nodded. Kayleigh's assessment was one he agreed with. There shouldn't be any Nth metal loose without control over it. "I believe there is room for the rest of your things in the foyer. That way nothing will be stolen. We have a very good security system."
There was a sudden sigh of relief that Zoey wasn't here at the moment. Jor had invited her, but she had told him she might come later. He just knew that Zoey would perceive the threat and end it rather quickly, but then the entire situation would be out of hand. "Perhaps going inside is a good idea. Let us get some food and we'll proceed to watch these movies. I require more knowledge of your culture."

Letting out a deep, calming breath, Lydia took the mace gladly. It was a lot heavier than expected though it didn't show outwardly when she gripped it. She was very curious about the mace. Her dad had told her stories. But she'd ask Kayleigh about it when she was less hostile. This was quickly turning into more trouble than she had anticipated and she wasn't sure how it was going to stay this calm. She supposed she could understand some of Kayleigh's frustration and instincts to lash out at everything that moved, but she couldn't, personally, live like that. Life would seem very unpleasant. And there was more than enough unpleasantness already.
She grinned at Walt and scrunched her nose at him before pinching his cheek. "That's because everyone knows to listen to mom." The sarcasm was strong with her today. "And if you've got all those memories, and supposedly know all about the Flashes," she looked over at Kayleigh. "Then you know the reason they last so long. You can't get rid of them. They'll eat you out of house and home, blasted parasites," she laughed good-naturedly, slinging an arm around Barry. "Training is only partially the reason."
Once everyone was inside, she pointed out the food she'd had set up and she put out a hand to stop Barry and Walt before they could tear through everything. "You two, wait til everyone else has gotten something. Now," She looked at everyone else. "I've got pizza and soda, because what teenager doesn't like those things. There's also popcorn, and various baked goods. And a giant pillow nest in front of the tv with blankets and such so we can all get comfortable. Should we run out of pizza," She looked back at Walt and Barry. "You two are going to Central City and getting us more."
Lydia pulled out plates for people to use and napkins and cups, grabbing a slice for herself before a few brownies and cookies were added on. Then she wandered over to the fridge and pulled out a solid colored water bottle and handed it over to Sebastian. "I...uh...dunno what you microwave it at but here. I know you have a stash but it's fresh....don't ask." She turned back and went to watch as she took her first bite of pizza, making sure everyone got food that wanted it, keeping the mace next to her. She knew it probably made Kayleigh uncomfortable not to have it, not unlike Marty not having his ring on him, but she didn't need that thing being used on her people. So she would happily keep it with her.

Sebastian watched as everything seemed to be calming down. With a sigh he shook his head and turned his attention back to the room Lydia had set up for everyone. She really had gone all out. Well whatever kept her busy he figured. That definitely wasn't his style however. He usually put all of his efforts into his art, well that and a few other carnal past times. But he had been told that he wasn't allowed to practice those past times here. It was boring having to abide by so many rules but he also had a mission to accomplish, not to mention having sworn an oath to Batman to be part of the team.
He began to sip from the bottle from the microwave and smiled a bit. He watched as they all began to make their way into the Tower.
"I was kinda hoping for a fight. Money's on the winged wonder."
'I'm gonna tell her you said that.'
"Ah hell. Good thing I can't die. Well, not by normal means."
He said with a laugh as he sipped from his bottle. He spun around with a smile as the others came in. He gave a polite wave to the others, realizing he really did need to make friends. He didn't get along with most, with the exception of Gabby and Adam. Not to mention Lydia. But they were...whatever. Plus Kayleigh looked fun and Ed was...standing right there.
He glanced over as Lydia approached him and smiled. He accepted the bottle and looked at it with a raised eyebrow. There was definitely a series of questions there though, questions he'd apparently have to wait on.
"Thanks Liddy. Already got one, so maybe I'll wait. Keep it like dessert."
He said with a wink and a smile. He then snatched up a brownie, taking a bite, washing it down with a swig from his bottle. Admiral Fluffy Paws meanwhile poked at Ed.
'Hey Ed, do me a favor and snatch me up a piece of pizza. Just a small one. Sebastian's distracted by Lydia, as usual.'

Enrique laughed lightly. Ok so maybe he didn't get along so great with everyone. It was really more of a case of he wasn't going to abide by by a means of making someone happy. No, he would call it like it was. Just trying to be nice would get nothing done. His year in that cage had taught him that. Plus they weren't exactly making things easier on any of them. But Flashes weren't always known for NOT antagonizing people. Especially when Barry asked if he would be offended.
"Oh Barry, I'm almost certain you'd be offended."
He said with a laugh before following everyone in. He knew he was pretty much being over looked and in some cases ignored. That much was confirmed when they got inside and Barry and Wally were told to wait but not Enrique. Which was insulting since everyone knew those with super speed had a hyper metabolism and Enrique himself hadn't eaten in a while. Enrique stood beside Barry and Walt and crossed his arms.
"Esperaré. Desde que tengo super velocidad también."
He mumbled to himself as watched people get in line. He knew his odds were better if he got there before Barry and Wally, but also knew he couldn't beat them in a race. Sure he had the means to reach the same levels, but his body currently couldn't handle it. He'd begin aging too rapidly and die by time he hit double the speed of sound, if not more. But he was working on a better way to deliver the serum.
"What movies are we watching anyways?"
He asked curiously, and to try and make conversation.

Well, at least the situation seemed to be calming down. Edward wasn't nearly so worried that Kayleigh was going to demonstrate how to break the nose of a Flash. Despite this, he stood close to her in what could easily be taken as a show of tenderness or comfort. He couldn't be sure that, if she did anything, he could stop her before anything happened, but he'd have a better shot if he was closer to her. He almost winced as Lydia took Kayleigh's mace, but even he had to admit it was probably safer to have her without it. He'd been on the receiving end enough times to know that the room was better off if she didn't have it to hand. Still, he knew how much she cared about her equipment, and he knew she'd hate to have it taken away. He wasn't much of a comforter, but he'd be sticking by her tonight. Well, more than he would have done anyway, seeing as they were surrounded by strangers and honestly Kayleigh was the only person there he felt comfortable with.
With the tension outside dying down, Edward felt like it was safe to walk inside, but he made sure to stand near Kayleigh the whole time as they walked. It wasn't just that he wanted to stay close in case the loss of her mace made her cranky, it was that he felt reassured around her, more relaxed and more confident. He pulled away slightly, however, when he saw the food and the layout of the room. It wasn't going to be a stiff, awkward movie night on armchairs away from each other. Instead, it was going to be a casual sprawl. Well, he'd always appreciated casual.
Lydia told the Flashes to stay behind, and Edward had meant what he'd said that they'd be lucky to get there before him. Not that that stopped him from walking up to the table with a plate and piling it high. He had a few slices of pizza and several brownies after his first pass at the table, and he was pretty sure he was going to have more before he was anywhere close to full. He didn't know if it was part of his powers or just natural appetite, but he could practically eat his own body weight in food. He was munching on a slice when he felt something poke him and heard a voice. He was expecting to see somebody, so when he turned, his gaze was at head-height. When he saw nobody, he lowered his eyes, and then saw a cat. He jumped backwards, but kept hold of his plate. "What the hell?" He asked, "You're...a cat. Are the mushrooms on this pizza funky?"

Kayleigh noted how Lydia reacted to Walt there. “Mum”? Acting like their mum sure must get tiring.
”And that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t try. The only good thing about supervillains is they started up the Flash rogues on their own free terms. Those ones got their priorities right.”
So Kayleigh had consented to Lydia taking her mace. That didn’t mean that she liked it. She felt exposed without her mace, especially around all these people- including those ever-so-annoying Flashes. She had thought the last generation of them had been frustrating. No way was she siding with Ed to reassure herself. She was glad that he was already seeming to do that so she didn’t have to be seen to be supporting that notion.
Kayleigh stuck fairly close to him as they walked indoors. She tried to make it subtle, but she was maybe a little preoccupied with adjusting to losing her favourite weaponry.
Human powered flight required quite a lot of energy. Normally, this was supplied by her belt, meaning she required no normal sustenance, but she didn’t have her belt right now. Or at least, it was in her bag.
Kayleigh took her place in the line behind Ed. She didn’t exactly wait patiently, but she got there and took what she felt was probably a reasonable share. Actually she went slightly under what would strictly be her proportion. She wanted to make sure the Flashes got their share- if there was one type of hero more annoying than a content Flash, it was an irritable Flash.
She was tempted very briefly to go look for her sister, but she knew that Gabby wasn’t here at the moment. It would have been nice to have just one familiar face among the titans. It would have been nicer to have someone she knew she wouldn’t end up punching at some point tonight.
Kayleigh headed off and away from the table, looking to find anyone she could talk to and not end up pissed off with. Rapidos, maybe? He was on his own, and he hadn’t said anything particularly annoying before.
She headed over to where she could see him between the others. The others seemed to be ignoring him mostly. That was good, in a way.
Kayleigh didn’t miss observing Ed and the cat. That was strange, but, hey, her best friend was essentially a were-wolf stuck mid-phase, so she could deal with it. That didn’t stop her from snorting just slightly- probably just enough for both of them to hear.
She stood next to him, took a couple of bites of pizza and then spoke.
”I’m guessing the Titans have to have some proof that speedsters aren’t all annoying to keep them.” She gestured at where she thought the others had been a second before. They likely weren’t there anymore given most of the queue had dissipated. ”I’m also guessing the team leader has more of an idea of what films we all have to brace ourselves for.”

This didn't seem too bad. Until the "waiting for food" scenario. Barry and Walt shared a glance, and then the latter was gone and back with eleven boxes of pizza.
"Just for us!" And with that, but Walt sat where he was beside Barry, cross-legged, and tore through the first three boxes himself. At that point, he stalled for a moment, chewing contemplatively. He noticed the new girl stray as far from the two of them as possible.
"Hey, Bear...," Walt didn't want the evening to proceed with such harsh boundaries, but he also didn't want to take anything seriously.
"I think... that we oughtta do something really nice for our new folks. They're on our team, after all. And, y'know, the girl is just... tentative. "Ruffled"... you know. C'mon." He smiled winningly. "Let's win them over."
