Edward sat moodily on the private bus as it drove them to the Teen Titan's tower. Who even had a giant tower for their base of operations? Well, other than the Avengers. But they did it in a cool way. Theirs wasn't a giant T, for example, and theirs didn't float. Who needed a floating tower? It was just unnecessary.
Edward was not, on the whole, in a good mood. It wasn't that he especially minded going for a movie night and a sleepover with the Titans. He knew Lydia, for one, and Kayleigh's sister would be there as well. He doubted the others were thoroughly objectionable people either. It wasn't the company he minded, or the movie, or even sleeping round all that much. It was the fact that he'd been forced into it. If he'd planned it, or, god forbid, Kayleigh had, he'd have been perfectly happy. But no, instead some teacher at Jean Grey had thought it'd be a great "learning experience" and a chance to "bond with others like them". And as usual when a teacher at Jean Grey made a request like that, Edward heard the part they didn't say, but they both knew. The "well, if you don't want to, we could always ship you back to jail" undertones. And surprisingly, he wasn't a fan of those. He had no idea what they'd said to @flappybird to get her to come along, but it had clearly worked, as she was sitting in the seat next to him on the otherwise empty bus. He doubted she was all that happy about the arrangement either.
He shifted his weight in his seat irritably, leading him to brush up against Kayleigh again. He'd taken the aisle seat purely because every now and then he got the urge to pace angrily up and down the bus. Who even came up with this idea? He had a sneaking suspicion it wasn't May. This wasn't the sort of thing she went in for. She might try and get him into a sparring match with the whole team, but not a movie night. "You think this is a good idea?" Edward asked Kayleigh. "Do you even know any of the Titans apart from your sister?" Edward didn't exactly mind meeting new people, but meeting upwards of five with only Kayleigh and maybe a couple of others he knew was slightly daunting. He wasn't shy, just...not the most confident either.
"Can't believe they're making us do this," He muttered. It wasn't the first time he'd done that so far. But then the bus stopped, and as Edward leaned past Kayleigh without asking, he saw the tower outside. "Well, this is us," He commented, and stood up, walking slowly towards the bus doors. So maybe he was trying to waste even a few extra seconds before he had to go. He even nodded to the bus driver, who he'd spent the entire drive resenting. As he walked, he grabbed his overnight bag from the luggage holders overhead and slung it over his shoulder. Just a change of clothes and something to sleep in, along with a toothbrush. Nothing special. Kayleigh had probably found a way to smuggle weapons or something into her bag, even though they were going to see a movie with...well, friends wasn't the word for it. He stepped out of the bus, looking back to make sure Kayleigh was following.
"I'm guessing they'll have sent someone to meet us," He commented as he started walking to the tower, "Or at least let us in. I know you could fly us up there, but I doubt they'd want strangers suddenly showing up." They'd bickered a bit on the bus, but that was normal. They'd avoided a proper fight, however, and he wouldn't mind keeping it that way.
((So any Titans are welcome, but if all of them are involved the thread might get a bit unwieldy xD Also I'd prefer it if Kayleigh posted before any Titans))

Kayleigh's wings were killing her. It wasn’t just that they’d been curled up in her wing brace since they’d set out- from New York State- but also that she’d been leaning against a less-than-perfect coach seat for the last, well, Kayleigh didn’t have a watch but judging from the sun, quite a few hours. These coach seats- unsurprisingly- were not built for women with wings.
And she was planning on releasing her wings at the first opportunity she got.
Kayleigh had been reprimanded, yet more times, by the staff for her sheer level of fighting. They had learned a long time ago that trying to stop her completely was futile, but, apparently, they still thought they could at least be capped. It was something to do with breaking her tenth window in the last two months. They had threatened her with taking away some of her weaponry, again, which was just a threat of unspeakable proportion. There had also been some mention about banning her from meeting Katar, and tagging her too so she really couldn’t go see him if he was ever located.
Either one of those would have been enough to make her go. Apparently, though, the staff had picked up how much it could take to persuade her. Actually, they missed out the most important reason; her sister. Admittedly she would have just invited Gabby over if she’d had a choice. It would have saved a lot of wing cramp.
”I really don’t.”She had to force herself not to lean further back at that. Normally she got to stretch her wings at least a few times in a day, but apparently not on coaches. It was something to do with “messes” and “not enough space” and so on. ”Not at all.”
Kayleigh rolled her eyes. She had heard that maybe twenty times already. And that was just on this stretch of the coach journey. ”As I’ve already said, a hundred times, I don’t either.”
She sighed slightly as she felt the bus stop, relieved. And Ed ruined it. ”No shit, Sherlock, how many other stops does this bus make?” As Edward had suspected, Kayleigh had indeed decided to smuggle out some of her weaponry. She didn’t put it below the staff to try to confiscate it all while she was off at their stupid bonding session. This was in addition to all the actually helpful gear- pyjamas and spare clothes and so on. Of course she had remembered all her toiletries, and she was planning on keeping a close eye on them. She had experience with speedsters- admittedly in her previous lives, but that was aside the point.
She had to squint behind her sunglasses as she stepped out of the bus. Damn that change in light hurt.
On her third step outside the coach, she was already pulling the straps to release her wings. On her fifth, her wings were spread, knocking out some of the cramp. On her seventh, she had started pulling off the brace. By the time Ed had made his comment, her wings were completely unfurled and her brace had been hastily shoved into her bag.
”I hope they do. And I hope it’s not the Flash. I have a few vague memories of his father, and my goodness he’s a prat. Pretty sure that’s a hereditary trait.” If this flash was anything like his predecessor, he could expect a punch to the face roughly every five seconds; or at least some insults on quick-fire. ”I bet I could sneak us in. And also, I’m sure Gabby would stop them asking to be beaten up fairly quickly.”
How they’d avoided a proper fight was nothing short of a miracle. Possibly because Kayleigh was actually looking forward to meeting some of the children of her past lives’ teammates. That would be an interesting relationship to have to explain. Kayleigh grinned, just slightly, as she made the mental note to try to weird them out with that. After all, they couldn’t prove her wrong about anything she might say.

Walt was looking forward to this playdate. He almost always enjoyed meeting other superhumans, and was commonly elected team tourguide for this reason. So as he descended from the Tower after seeing the bus arrive, he was in a good mood. This was also due in small part to his favorite method of returning to the ground, which involved leaping from the top of the Tower and gliding earthward by revolving his arms maniacally, which he enjoyed, although it made Danvers antsy. She didn't have to know.
He landed on the soft soil and was at the bus in the same second. He reached a hand out to the gruff-looking gentleman standing near it.
"Walter West, or the Flash, if you so fancy. I sure hope you like pizza." Then he noticed the other visitor's impressive wingspan.
"Whoa." he said admiringly. "Well, you'll fit right in here at our little castle in the clouds." His smile widened before he met her eyes, and his voice lowered to a quieter, appreciative tone. "They're beautiful."

Jor looked up from one of the several books he was reading, in his room in the Tower. Jor hadn't established himself anywhere yet, so this room was his temporary home, until he figured out what he wanted to do. They had offered him a stipend to pay his living expenses and told him they would help him get an apartment. The Titans told him that he probably shouldn't be living in the Centennial Park, though he wasn't sure why. His invulnerability protected him from the elements, so he didn't think that was a major issue, but they explained to him that he needed some form of living arrangement that was indoors.
So here, he stayed and studied the human race. According to the Titans, he had a lot to catch up on, so Jor liked to multitask when it came to this. His super senses allowed him a very high degree of multitasking. He was listening to multiple albums and reading multiple books at once. His hearing allowed him to sort out the various tracks. Today, he was working on fiction and listening to rock and roll. He was working his way through the collected works of JRR Tolkien and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle as well as Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones and The Who today. He looked through the wall and saw the bus approaching. Then he saw Walter outside greeting some guests a few moments later. There had been some discussion about bringing students from a school here to interact with them. It was a good opportunity to socialize, Jor thought.
Though he usually wore his body suit, he had taken to trying other fashions as of late with the help of Lydia and others. Today, he was sporting a black t-shirt with the logo of something called Pink Floyd on it, with a blue button up open over top of it and a pair of jeans. Superboy stood up and moved to the roof. He looked down and took a leap from the Tower, landing next to Walt, making as much noise and impact as someone stepping off a curb. He smiled to the newcomers.
"Hello, my name is Jor. The people here call me Superboy. You may choose whichever is more convenient for you. Welcome to the Titans Tower."

now i can't seem to breathe right cause i keep running
Barry had been on his daily jog around the world when something clicked in his head. He was supposed to be somewhere, at least he thought he was. Stopping somewhere in China he blinked a few times and let the rolladex in his head spin a few times before his eyes went wide. "Oh... Crap..." He was in civilian attire at the moment but he always kept his goggles on hand. He pulled them out of his pocket, slipped them on and pulled them over his eyes. He dropped into his normal pre-run stance and in a nanosecond he was off and running.
As he made his way towards San Francisco he hit the water that would lead him to Titan Tower. Those standing outside would hear the tell tale -boom- of the sound barrier being broken before a rush of wind would meet them. Suddenly standing between Walt and Jor was Barry, goggles now resting on his head. "Sorry! Sorry! I know I'm late... Wait... Am I late?" He paused as he looked around and noticed everyone was still outside like the two had only just arrived at the tower. It was moments like this that Barry thanked the Speed Force that he was, in fact, born of the Speed Force itself.
He smiled as the realization that he was, in fact, just in time struck him. He let out a breath and held out his hand to the two newcomers. "Name's Barry Allen, or Kid Flash... At least until I beat this one and get my dad's mantle back." With that last bit he jokingly nudged Walt with his elbow and chuckled. He wasn't being too serious about it, even though he did eventually want to be the one using his fathers alias. He also knew that his time would come and for now he was content being KF. He was still a hero and he knew damn well who he was. A moment later he shook all that from his mind and went back to greeting Edward and Kayleigh.

For once, Lydia was glad to have something to do, something to prepare for. Something to distract her. She'd been baking like a madwoman the past few days and she could use the excuse they were having people over. And with two speedsters to keep fed, she had more than enough to keep her busy, to keep her mind off of everything.
There was a pile of macaroons for Walt, which she had labeled, various types of cookies, (chocolate chip, peanut butter, snickerdoodle, oatmeal, double chocolate chip), brownies, blondies, scones, a pie or two and even a cake. And right then she had just finished making food for everyone. Sure she hadn't arranged this little shindig, but she'd dove into it with everything she had. It was weird, being in a place where people knew you, but not you you. The only people she really knew on the Titans were Walt and Marty. And Marty...well he was just staying the heck away for various reasons, most of them being her she thought, though she'd never said it out loud. So, she hung out with Walt, mostly, and tried to get to know her team.
She had set everything up, grabbed as much popcorn, soda and candy as she could carry (which is a lot), and made a giant pillow nest in the living room for everyone to get comfortable on while they watched movies. And she was pulling the last pizza out of the oven, she heard the sonic boom of Barry arriving and dropped the pizza on the stove top to cool. She looked around. "I do hope this is enough food. Or else I'm sending both of them to Chicago for more pizza." Lydia said, mostly to herself before untying her apron and heading outside.
"Hi," she waved, putting on a bright smile as she walked out, reminding herself to not gravitate toward Walt, to be friendly. "I'm Lydia, some call me Captain Marvel. Welcome to Titan's Tower."

Sebastian had been keeping to himself for awhile now. Primarily because he was considering leaving the Titans and figured leaving everyone alone would make his eventual departure easier. Only problem was, his apartment was destroyed, meaning he had to stay at the Tower for the time being. Luckily he'd managed to recover most of the artifacts he'd stored there. Unluckily however, he'd lost a decent amount of his paintings. So it was definitely a good news bad news situation. Admiral Fluffy Paws however had lost a lot of his toys and as such had become inconsolable. So when he wasn't apartment shopping and getting supplies for new paintings he was buying new toys and cat houses for Admiral Fluffy Paws. He had more than enough money, plus what he got in insurance for his destroyed apartment and possessions.
As the Titans greeted the X-students his flaming portal opened up right next to the bus. He stepped out with a bag in one hand and Admiral Fluffy Paws in the other arm.
"Look right now we don't have room for that castle. It's awesome I won't deny that."
He said talking down to the cat as the portal closed and smell of brimstone slowly faded.
'B...but my favorite house was destroyed.'
"Along with my ACTUAL house."
'I lived there too ya know.'
"When it suited you!"
It was then that he looked up and saw everyone else.
"Ah right, we're doing that whole thing tonight."
He said, glad to be in the shadow of the tower and hidden from what glimpse of sunlight may be left in the sky. Admittedly it was one big reason he was attracted to the tower. Another key reason was standing right there, problem was they'd never really met.
"Name's Sebastian, or Brother Blood. I..."
He froze when he saw Lydia there. They'd been close, really close. Maybe not as close as he'd have liked but damn he tried, and nearly got close to it too. He whipped some of the hair off his face as it had begun to cover his face. He was wearing just a simple pair of paint spattered black jeans, boots and a paint spattered white T-shirt. His runes were covered with the tattoos Sebastian Blood, or the artist Louis Ferr, was known for.
"...I'm gonna grab a bite before everyone gets up there."
He didn't feel like explaining everything just yet. He didn't feel like creeping the others out and the Titans would know what he meant. He was used to them seeing him drink, or thought they were. He opened up a firey portal and stepped inside it, closing it behind him. A brief glimpse of light through one of the top windows signified that he'd made it inside.

Enrique was excited for the party, sleep over, whatever it was. He was looking forward to doing anything that didn't involve fighting or being in a cage. Apparently he'd been named leader, a role he'd quickly stepped down from. Sure he enjoyed responsibility and so forth, what he didn't like was being leader. That wasn't his style. Sure, he could handle being squad leader if they split up, but that was it. Otherwise he was not leader type. Well maybe one day when he had matured enough. As for now though, he was content just being another member. This was exactly what he was looking forward to. Just normal teenage stuff, which was why he was one of the first ones on board with the whole teen night thing. After all this crap he wanted to just be a normal person.
When the bus showed up he watched everyone show off and zip around there. Especially the two speedsters, they really showed off. He often got annoyed because people seemed to forget he was a speedster too. Not to mention his father had also been a Titan. Sure he was no Robin, Aqualad or Kid Flash, but he was still a Titan. Of course he was just happy to be alive after all the nonsense that had gone on. He was one of the last ones to stroll out there it seemed. He decided to take the Lydia approach. No powers, no showing off, just there. That and he didn't feel like wasting his energy and speed on just going out to meet a bus.
"Hola, I'm Enrique, but I also answer to Rapidos."
He said with a smile and a light bow of the head.
"Come on inside. Marvel seems to have prepared quite a feast. You'll want to get there before any of the speedsters do."

Post by Edward Church on Jun 26, 2015 9:22:10 GMT -6
Edward resisted the urge to roll his eyes as Kayleigh unfurled her wings. He was going to have to be the diplomatic one here, especially if there was a Flash, and arguing with her now wasn't going to help that. "We're being subtle, I see," He commented, but tried not to make it sound accusing. If anyone was watching, they were probably used to seeing strangeness from the Titans. He was about to walk to the Tower when there was suddenly a stranger next to them who hadn't been there a second before. So here was the meet and greet party. Edward inwardly groaned as the guy introduced himself as a Flash, and prayed that Kayleigh didn't start something already, but shook the guy's hand. "Edward Church," He replied, once again regretting his lack of codename, "And this is Kayleigh Wilson." He figured doing the talking for the both of them was a good idea, especially to a Flash. "Pizza sounds good, we didn't get much to eat on the way up." He was making a dedicated effort to keep this friendly, despite his distaste at being forced here. At the worst he'd just spend the night sitting with Kayleigh.
He almost winced as the guy complimented Kayleigh's wings. It sounded heartfelt, but Kayleigh would definitely find a way to take it badly. And then there was suddenly something of a superhuman entrance dick-measuring contest as other Titans showed up, and Edward tried not to let his irritation show on his face. It was just a bit unnecessary. First the pale one, Jor, or whatever, just stepped out of the window and landed silently, then the other one appeared with a sonic boom that was shockingly painful to his sensitive hearing, and forced a pained expression across his face. Another Flash, brilliant. Kay was probably sharpening her smuggled weapons now. And then the even paler one stepped through a portal of all things, and stepped away again quickly. It was just a bit unnecessary. Were they trying to prove something, remind him and Kayleigh that they were on their turf, or just showing off? Either way, he hadn't walked up with his claws out, even if Kayleigh was spreading her wings.
But Lydia stepped out like a normal human being, and a small smile spread across Edward's face as he saw her. Despite the intense awkwardness of how they met, and certain images that flashed to mind when he saw her, they'd gotten along pretty well. And she wasn't trying to prove anything. "Hey Lydia," He said with a nod and a bit of warmth, and then looked to the others, "Hi Jor, Barry...Sebastian's gone, okay. I'm Edward, this is Kayleigh." Well, some of these guys didn't make the best impressions, and Edward was practically cursing Kayleigh for making him have to be the friendly one. "What's his problem?" He'd smelt something he didn't like when Sebastian showed up, but he wasn't sure what it was, and now the guy was gone. And then another one showed up, again walking like a normal person, no showing off.
"Hola Enrique," He replied, returning the Spanish greeting. His irritation was growing, however, despite the reasonable decency of the new guy. He didn't like meeting lots of new people once, and here he was in the base of a group of people he'd met all of two of. It was enough to put him on edge, and he instinctively stepped closer to Kayleigh. He was hoping she felt the same, or he'd probably get a shove. Edward started to walk towards the tower, staying behind the others. "They'll want to get there before I do," He commented. As most people who'd been unfortunate enough to serve him food knew, he ate a lot, "But...they're probably very capable of doing that."

No way did Kayleigh miss that descent from the Flash. It was one of the most stupid and undignified things she had ever seen. The same as her general opinion on the flash himself. ”More subtle than the dick’s kid.” She muttered. Of course, her muttering would still be plentifully loud enough for Edward to hear it.
Even without any super-hearing –presently- that sonic boom was plain painful. And, even if she hadn’t known from past lives’ past experience, it would have drawn her to an obvious conclusion; speedsters are pricks.
As soon as Kayleigh heard the kid’s codename, she aimed a punch at his face. Damn. He’d probably dodge that. Kayleigh just needed the kid to give his name- Barry that was- to aim a punch at his face too. Probably the same result there. She hated speedsters, and she was fairly certain all her previous lives- at least since speedsters became a common thing- had too. Just in case they both dodged, she pulled back both her fists and gave them both quite exaggerated birdies.
That perhaps had already ruined Edward’s attempt at diplomacy. Perhaps.
Kayleigh pushed her sunglasses up her nose, glaring at Walter, prepared for some stupid comment or question. She almost went to punch him in the face- actually she did but he acted fast enough for her fist to have barely risen- but then he complimented her wings instead. Her expression softened slightly- very slightly- but her body language did not. ”I know.” She tensed again as quickly as she had softened. ”Unlike you. Now don’t get any smart ideas like, I don’t know, stroking them, or I’m goin’ to introduce you to my mace-friend, alright?” Kayleigh would be happy to tell anybody that asked that that reaction was definitely purely related to what he said and not who he was.
Kayleigh crossed her arms and turned her head away slightly from the sheer idiocy of the Titans. They greet her with the flash and then they feel the need to show off all they can do? Practically asking for a fight. Sure, she had her best assets on display, but wings were way cooler than magical-poofing powers or being a human pogo stick. Or not-so-human by the look of the guy, anyway.
”Pink Floyd, seriously? You have the same music tastes as the average dad.” Considerably worse than her dad, though.
”Okay, Sharkboy. I feel so loved; met by the kid of a set of heroes I would happily smash all the faces of in and curl’s kid. Great. And I can so see why he’s called Superboy- you guys do love jokey code-names don’t you? Can I just punch you all in the face and call it quits?”
She nodded very slightly at Enrique and Lydia’s arrivals- both of them at least not shoving their powers in her face and Ed’s.
Well, Kayleigh for one recognised the real issue with Seb was not his scent. ”He seems to think cats are good. Major issues in the head right there.” Kayleigh lifted one hand out and drew a couple of quick rings around her temple with one finger. ”Crazy.”
Kayleigh shot Edward a look that almost spelled out “What the fuck are you thinking?” as he sidled over, but she didn’t stop him or retaliate. Honestly, she was feeling a little overwhelmed by the huge numbers- not that she’d ever admit that, and, -even less likely to admit this- she would probably have sidled closer to him too.
”Yeah, he wolfs down food pretty well.”

Walt's smile didn't dim at all as he dodged the first punch. Instead, he just continued in his warm, friendly tone as if he hadn't noticed.
"I wouldn't be so presumptuous. Certainly not under those terms." He punctuated his joke with a growing smile.
Then Barry showed up, and Walt beamed even brighter. After all, who could resist a party with two speedsters?
Kayleigh, apparently, could do so eagerly, and after she tried to strike the younger Flash, Walt slipped into a moment of the half-hostile humor that showed only when his temper flared.
"Ah, she's giving us the bird, Ber! That's funny. Because she's... got..." He cut himself off. Don't be an idiot, Wall-E, he though to himself. Clearly she's... shy, so no bird jokes.
Instead, he rushed over to KF and gave him a noogie so fast that his hair stood straight up. "That'll be the day, squirt," he cajoled, although he didn't doubt that the kid would someday outrun him, and didn't much care. Or portended not to, anyway.
Walt only began to consider growing moody when the girl began to lash out at his friends. Jor was the sweetest guy he knew, and whatever hostility existed between her and the speedsters was totally unjustified. Not to mention Lydia, of whom he was already beginning to grow defensive. So he decided to hold the olive branch out a little bit farther.
"Listen." Walt took a slow step towards the two newcomers. "I'm sorry for whatever we've done to upset you. Clearly we're all very different. Clearly, I can be somewhat of an idiot." He smiled good-naturedly, meaning every word, and proceeded in a warm, inviting tone.
"But we're all the good guys here. We're all a team here. And you could be a part of that. We want you to be. But you don't have to be. We don't have to be friends, if that's not what you want. But all I want you to understand is that we're all all the good guys." Walt hazarded a small smile as he finished. "So the next time you aim a shot at me, I'll take it. But after that, let's just leave that and everything else behind us, and move on. We'll have some pizza, and you can pick the movie. Okay?"
Walt, for some reason, really liked this cold young man and his hostile friend. He wanted them to like it here.

now i can't seem to breathe right cause i keep running
Barry sighed as he noticed the pained looks on the visitors faces. He hadn't really been thinking too much when he accidentally broke the sound barrier. He could get a little over zealous sometimes and it didn't help that he had originally thought he was late to the meeting. He let out another sigh as he looked towards Edward and Kayleigh. "Hey, about the boom I'm so-..." Just as he looked up mid-apology he noticed the fist coming for him. It was at this moment that he thanked the speedforce that things always seemed to move a bit slower than intended and he easily spun and dodged the hit. "Sorry... Well, guess I'm about to take that back..."
He pointed to Edward first, "To you, I am still sorry," he then pointed to Kayleigh, ""You, not so much..." He looked over to Enrique and could see the look on his face and he couldn't help but feel his eye twitch. "Before you even say it, I wasn't showing off this time... I was just doing my normal morning jog, thought I was late and got here as fast as I could... That was it..." He then motioned a thumb towards the winged one again. "Not my fault she seems to want to hit people she hasn't even met yet..."
Then, and he knew this would 'ruffle her feathers', he turned to look at her and crossed his arms over his chest. "As far as first impressions go... Kinda coming off as a bit of a bitch... Just saying..." He then attempted to move out of hitting range, hiding behind Jor, and shot a glance towards Enrique that said 'sorry just being honest'. He knew it would probably piss off both Kayleigh and Edward but, to be honest, they were guests here and the first thing she did was attempt to punch him and his cousin then flip them both off? What did she expect him to say.

As the scene unfolded, Jor looked around and studied his friends and the newcomers. He could see and hear all of their bodies reacting to one another's presence. He scanned them all briefly with x-ray vision and super-hearing, recording their biological reactions for study. The woman with wings seemed to have weapons hidden about her personal effects. With her increasing hostility, Jor made a note to keep an eye on her. A quick scan of Kayleigh revealed a heightened level of adrenaline.
The winged wonder threw several punches at the Flashes, who dodged her blows, but just at the edge of Jor's ability to follow them. He was mildly concerned by this behavior and realized perhaps, they were not fans of the whole group here at once. When Jor had first met the Titans, it had been very overwhelming for him as well. "Perhaps, meeting us all at once is a bit much." Jor looked around, to Lydia, Walter and the Flash hiding behind him, then to his other compatriots. "We are a rather intense group and meeting us all at once can be... rather troubling. Speaking from experience."
The Boy of Steel offered a genuine smile to Icarus. "If you wish to hit someone, feel free to hit me. I am the most durable of the group. I will ask that you leave your weapons hidden where you have them though, because if you use them on my friends, I will be forced to put you in time out. Otherwise, you are free to retain them as long as you are here."

Everyone finished arriving and Lydia stayed pleasant enough, even though everyone just sort of arrived all willy nillie. They were teenagers, she got it, they liked to show off and were eager to as well. She would have flown outside herself if she had thought about it. She also didn't let the familiarity of Ed phase her much, today was not the day to think about crazy things, like how he knew her, she'd figure that out later. The smile stayed firmly on Lydia's face even as her eye began to twitch. Kayleigh was nothing like her sister. And even though she was one of the oldest ones there, she was acting like a darn five year old! Throwing punches at people she didn't even know! This could not, could not be Gabby's sister or Sam Wilson's daughter. She could not believe she was related to the man her mother used to tell her about.
She is seriously beginning to damage my calm, Lydia thought to herself and had about as much as she could possibly take before Walt and Jor decided to once again try the diplomatic route. She took a calming breath, tamping down the urge to hit her first before things got more out of hand. She unclenched her fists she didn't even know she was clenching and just motioned for everyone to head inside.
"Seems people are a bit grouchy without food, so why don't we fix that before doing stupid things we'll all regret later, hmm? Also you," She pointed at Kayleigh. "Mace stays outside. Anything else hidden on your person can stay, but you threatened people with that mace so it's not allowed. You can stay with it if you want. I don't need the tower becoming a battleground because you've got an itchy trigger finger and feel like being a one woman wrecking ball. We've been nothing but nice and you've been nothing but grumpy and hostile so if you need a moment to yourself before being a civilized member of society, then take it." She said it all with a smile and a note of finality that left little room for argument. Though she was sure, judging by the blatant hostility and total disregard for everyone else, Kayleigh would most definitely argue. Lydia had an ace up her sleeve for that little eventuality, though she'd save it for if they were alone.
With that she had the doors open and waited next to them so people could go inside and find food and make themselves comfortable.

Sebastian was kind of glad to be away from everyone. But he also knew it wasn't healthy. He needed to be around people and interact more. He had been doing good but the whole replacement nonsense and everything going on had thrown him right back to where he was when he joined the Titans. But he could sense the fun and enjoyable Sebastian in there somewhere. Deep down he was actually excited for this whole night. Sure Lydia being there was a definite issue he wasn't looking forward to dealing with, but it was for the best.
The portal opened up in the kitchen and he grabbed a black sports bottle he kept in a special drawer with his name on it. He placed it in the microwave briefly to warm it up to the ideal 98.6, or close to. Admiral Fluffy paws meanwhile jumped up on the counter and began to sniff at the food.
"Careful Admiral Fluffy Paws, something tells me that regardless of the universe Lydia won't like you snacking on her food before everyone else gets here."
'Oh I'm sure she wouldn't HATE it so much.'
"You know she can throw you out of the atmosphere right?"
'Could be fun.'
"You're insane."
'I blame you.'
Sebastian was about to try and defend himself but he also knew Admiral had a point. Sure he hadn't been great as a Sorcerer, he did make a deal with a demon after all. But hanging around Sebastian probably wasn't that useful in the grand scheme of things. The microwave dinged and Sebastian began to drink from the bottle as he looked out the window at the others down below.
"The one with wings is trying to hit all the Flashes. Can't say I blame her, they can be annoying. Tonight should be interesting after all. I thought she'd be more like her sister."
'Gabbie is one of a kind Sebastian.'
"No kidding. That's why I like her. But her sister seems fun too."
