Gabe nodded slightly to Arthur’s assessment. ”No, you weren’t. Is it bad that I’m disappointed?” Gabe had to resist the urge to roll his eyes at Arthur’s sword attack. As if that would work. Everyone knew the sword hero would try that- and they had two sword heroes. Kind-of. If sword “hero” included sword “villain”. No way would Enrique be fool enough to not prepare against their blades.
”I’m not sure th-“ Gabe would have continued that, had Arthur not thought it a good time to reveal his demon form. The idiot. Getting Seb’s blood would have been easy had they remained calm; some sort of blood ritual and you could have vampire control in a flask. Well, half-vampire, same difference.
”Okay, there goes my calm.” Gabe didn’t care that they were team-mates just then, Arthur had no need to call him that, even if it was just a tactic. He turned, and in a voice raised obviously beyond what could be faked rage he yelled: ”THAT MUST BE YOUR TRUE FORM THEN, YOU MONSTROUS BIGGOT!” He would have gone a lot further- a lot further- had he not been expecting an insult along that line anyway. And had he not agreed that destroying Seb really would be fun.
”Whatever you say, Venice.” The near-growl in Gabe’s voice wasn’t hiding itself any time soon; it didn’t matter that Arthur was the real team-mate, he didn’t need to be going around calling him that.
Gabe would much rather be attacking himself. He didn’t care if this was just a clever tactic; it pissed him off to no end, and if he could he would be exploding the heck out of him. Somehow he felt the level of electrokinesis needed to do that might give him away a little too early; this world’s “Gabe” really hadn’t demonstrated that much power over it- that or he was too scared to.
And so, although it annoyed him so much words couldn’t express, he allowed Seb to take the position in front of him. After all, Seb was more of a brawler, certainly, and definitely more able to take any attack delivered against them.
”This looks like death to the red shirts to me.” Gabe held up his hands into the air, making no attempt to hide the knife he was gripping. Well, Seb couldn’t see it so there was no point in doing that. Besides, it probably just looked like he was scared and thus arming himself. And with no hesitation, he shot electricity out of his hands.
Oh to be able to unleash some actual power. Still, these sparks would have to do. Maybe he was showing off a little more power than this world’s version of himself had, but, why not? It wasn’t like any of the other original Titans would have known that.
And then Walter burst in- just as Gabe had started trying to violently bug-zapping Seb, and, yes, to a degree, aiming at Arthur too. Actually, aiming most of it at Arthur. He wasn’t going to kid himself- his anger was definitely getting a bit too much to him at his comments, and maybe clouding his judgement. Maybe.
He reacted as quickly as he could, turning, sparking out as much electricity as he dared in the confined spaces, and so close to his real teammates- which wasn’t actually that much more, or anything like his limit. There was no time for words, and therefore magic; not when stopping the fastest man alive. He doubted that the electricity would really be very helpful either- given how fast each of the flashes could travel there was a good chance of him dodging the attack entirely, and definitely healing off quickly afterwards. It was still his best chance at stopping the two of them.

Arthur ignored what they were saying. He had always hated Gabe with a passion and he cared as much about what this Sebastian was saying as he did with his counter part, plus he always wanted to call Gabe a Censored, but right know all he cared about was to beat the ever living unlife out of the vampire/demon mutt. This was going to be really fun for him. All they needed was his blood, and Gabe just wanted to get it from cutting him with his knife, but hey getting it from a ripped limb or was going to be equally effective as just getting it from a small cut in his body. It's all semantics really. Blood is Blood.
When Arthur reached Sebastian he rugby tackled him lifting him from the ground and digging his claws into his back strong enough to draw blood and was getting ready to feel the pain of Sebastian's counter attack, but it wouldn't be like he couldn't walk away from it. You gotta love demon regenerative skills. He was leading Sebastian towards Gabe that way it'd be easier for Gabe to get the blood, and if he aimed correctly and Gabe didn't move he would crush both Gabe and Sebastian against the wall. Who knows, maybe he could kill Gabe and then do the ritual himself. He'd have Sebastian under his control and had someone he hated out of the way.
Everything was going to plan until an entire wall exploded outwards and Gabe started zapping him and Sebastian and Arthur felt that most of the blast hit him. 'that idiot!' Arthur thought as the electricity made his muscles spasm making him drop Sebastian, but not soon after the wall exploded and Arthur saw the Flash escape from Enrique. "Why am I surrounded by idiots!" He said standing back up to full height and giving Gabe a nasty snarl, sure he respected him for trying to hurt him, but it was the wrong place at the wrong time and now the Flash had Sebastian in his grasp.
"Enrique! Why couldn't you do. Your. God. Dam. Job!" he said cracking his back and took a deep breath in. Arthur reacted as fast as he could and started breathing a blast of hellfire in their direction. Screw keeping them alive! They were too annoying and they deserved to die. Plus he always wanted to know what charred speedster and vampire/succubi mutt would taste like. He didn't care if he was almost certainly going to miss, but hey you gotta try right?

Ok, so this was a trap and things were falling apart quickly. He was forcing a powerful sorcerer and apparently a powerful demon, or demi-demon. It was times like this he wished he had some sort of sway over demons like his grandfather. Sure he could get it in time, but that didn't help him now, plus he needed to survive for that to hopefully work. He couldn't move in time so the best he could do was brace himself for the charging demon. He jumped lightly with Arthur's momentum taking some force from the blow. If he had to breathe it would've knocked the wind out of him. He didn't feel the sharp stab of a broken wind so that was a plus. But that small relief was soon replaced by the claws in his back. "Gabe, what's more important? Your self respect or some stupid orders that make you work with him?" One on one the odds of taking Arthur out were slow. He had a higher tolerance for pain so that helped him lightly. But losing blood would not work in the long run. But turning Gabe against Arthur shouldn't be too difficult. He raised his sword to drive it, hopefully, into Arthur's back only to suddenly feel someone grab him. Suddenly he was in the arms of Walt. He didn't have time for a humorous quip though as they were soon nearing a wall. "I got it Flash." He said before making a flaming portal in front of them. He didn't have enough magical energy in the room to get them out of the tower, but enough to get them into another room, namely the room with Marty and Lydia. As soon as they entered they saw Lydia breaking the kiss with an evil smile. That wasn't his Lydia and Marty was too far to get to. "Sorry buddy..." He said before opening another portal, this time into the living room, followed by another putting them in the city. "Just run East and aim for the portals, you'll know when to stop!" He yelled making more and more flaming portals as they moved. He had a general idea of where to go but also had no idea if it was safe. But he was suddenly grateful Gabbie hadn't showed. He was upset at first hoping he'd get teamed with her or Liddy. But Liddy was flipped, he knew the look of evil. Gabbie was safe, which relieved him for some reason. He did his best to aim around cars and other obstacles. But he also knew they would be running, ok HE would be running, towards the sunrise, which he didn't like. But they only had one chance. (OOC: If anyone hates this I can change it. Otherwise Exit Walter West and @sebastian)

Roxy mentally scolded herself for not calming down. She knew Jor could pick up on things like heartbeats and so forth. She did her best to calm down. Normally she'd make a comment but knew from observations this Jor would look at her with no reaction. Instead she just smiled and examined the room.
"Just excited Superboy. I haven't had much of an opportunity to show what I can do within the team. But then again they never give me a choice anyways....."
She said rolling her eyes. She was channeling this universe's Roxy pretty well. She knew why she was so angry at the world, and men in particular, just didn't care. She didn't have time to deal with random little crap like a bad childhood. She ran away from her goody goody dad, only to be taken in by some jerk. She did kill him and certain parts were similar to Roxy's.
"I have a plan. I have a blunt weighted arrow I use for blunt attacks or just practice. I can fire it through the doorways and your senses can follow it. That way we can figure out which series of doors we need to go through in order to get out."
She said pulling out an arrow with a 4 inch cylinder tip. The cylinder was leader and inside held particles of Kryptonite that when triggered would behave like shot gun. She could trigger it manually or if it stopped abruptly. She examined the doors, trying to look for a pattern.
"Alright, I got it, keep track."
She said before firing the arrow through one door way. She did her best to watch as it soared through door after door before it behaved right as the map said it would. It ricocheted 'randomlly' off a stair and headed straight for Jor. This plan was based on him catching it. She assumed he would. He would deem it no threat and likely catch it instead of risking it being destroyed or damaged on his chest. That was her plan then. As soon as he caught it the stop would trigger the kryptonite shotgun.
"Careful it doesn't break!"
She yelled at the last moment, hoping that'd be enough for him to catch it.

"I understand. I believe that this is a chance for all of us to show what we are capable of doing. I am glad that you could be a part of this exercise. I know that you have had trouble fitting into the Titans, but I believe that this will be a necessary step to growth within the team. I had a similar experience as you may or may not recall." Jor smiled at Roxy. He had trouble acclimating to the team in the beginning, but that was mostly due to the fact that Jor had very little frame of reference for how humanity worked. The exposure they gave him to pop culture and information had allowed his rapid acclimatizing to his new world.
The plan was sound and Jor nodded in agreement. If the doors worked like they both suspected, then the arrow would show them what door led where. The logic was sound. Jor scanned with his senses as the arrow flew through the first door and came out another one. It was some sort of localized tessaract or portal technology. This confused Jor. Though it was on par with what he expected from the heroes of this world, this sort of technology was a bit beyond their level of advancement. Lydia had once explained that other worlds had given them technology, so Jor made a mental note to ask about it later.
The Boy of Steel's enhanced vision tracked the arrow until it bounced off a set of stairs and towards him. Roxy's exclamation to catch it made sense, since it might break against Jor. He reached up and grabbed the arrow, seemlessly. The shotgun shell tip exploded a half second later. Jor realized something was wrong and tried to dodge, but ended up covered in Kryptonite particles. His head spun. There was a familiar weakness, accompanied by an all too familiar nausea. The probe felt his head start to spin. He dropped arrow and stumbled back, feeling his powers fade thanks to the radioactive rock.
"Roxy, what is happening?" Concepts of betrayal existed in Jor's mind. His study of Earth and it's media taught him about that. The naive probe just didn't understand why his teammate would do this. Weakness overcame him and the boy dropped to his knees. "Why? Why would you do this? This is causing me pain." His body was now leaden and Jor couldn't seem to draw upon his abilities. His mind fluttered back to the last time he'd been exposed to the alien rock. He'd met Zoey that day. If he could get to her, things would be okay. All he had to do was shift back into his energy form and the pain would stop. He looked up in time to see the bow smash into his head. And then Superboy saw nothing but darkness.

The plan worked flawlessly and Lydia slipped free of the wall. Marty caught her and held her in his arms, looking down at her. Then the most unexpected thing happened. Lydia kissed him. Marty felt his head go fuzzy and felt the fireworks go off in his brain. He returned the kiss with a desperation he didn't know he possessed. Marty had never kissed Lydia before and now he realized that he had been a fool not to. Then Lydia broke the kiss and pushed him aside, narrowly avoiding the robot's fist.
Marty floated off to the side and watched Marvel catch the fist. He pushed aside any other thoughts, head still spinning and focused his will into the ring. IF the robot could absorb, then Marty wouldn't give it the time. He smashed the robot with a quick succession of constructs, not letting it absorb quick enough. The power still drained from his ring, as he launched hit after hit. "I don't know, I can't make a dent in the thing." Lydia made a judo flip of the robot and Marty noticed his vision was starting to go fuzzy.
Then a portal opened and he watched Walt and Sebastian run through and out. Marty guessed that meant two rooms were clear and they were teaming up. Why didn't Walt come help them? Maybe he knew Marty wanted to sort things with Lydia. A cold chill over took Marty's body. "Lyds, I'm not feeling so well here. Something's wrong. We need to abort the trial."
Marty dropped to the ground and landed on his knees. Something was definitely wrong. His ring would know. But he couldn't focus enough to use it. Everything had a haze around it. Marty knew that this wasn't just the kiss now. Something had compromised him. "Lyds... Help."

The punch didn't quite work and suddenly Walt was gone. Enrique was in so much trouble. His job had been to take out Walt. Lydia had offered to do it but he'd sworn he could handle the fellow speedster. Now he was gone. With the targets either incapacitated or gone the walls separating them slowly slid down. Enrique looked around and saw an unconscious Jor and Marty with a very angry Arthur and Gabe. He could hope they at least got some of Sebastian's blood. That way it wouldn't be a complete loss. But now he had to answer to Lydia, his higher power. Sure it had appeared as though Enrique was in charge but that definitely wasn't the case. It was simply how things had worked out.
"Lydia, err Captain Marvel. I know this looks bad but they can't have gotten far. Besides we got the Kryptonian and the Lantern. Flash and the vampire are useless. Plus maybe they got some of his blood."
He was trying to come up with some sort of idea. He wanted to plead his case and hopefully still live. He knew he wasn't the first choice for this plan but he'd pleaded. He was good and just as good as any speedster. Sure he didn't have a fancy name or big name parent, but still, just as good. He slowly approached her, knowing she might be angry. He figured he could out run or dodge any blasts.

She saw the portal out of the corner of her eye, watching as Walt and Sebastian made their escape. So two trials had failed. And would be going for help. This made her blood boil. But if she played everything right, it wouldn't be a complete waste. She did not see the Kryptonian among the escapees, which was who she was most worried about. And they would have Marty, Which was how they would trap Walt. He wouldn't leave his best friend behind know that he knew what was going on.
Lydia was of course mollified by Marty struggling to focus and fight the robot. He took a few good shots at it, though they were futile. The robot itself was harmless to whoever had the override code, which she did. She was just waiting for the opportune moment to use it. When he mentioned something was wrong, she simply smiled at him as he slowly went down. As he dropped to his knees, she thought it was the most pathetic thing she'd ever seen. She landed next to him and a gave him a cruel smile before uttering the override code.
"Alpha-zero-zero-two-eight." She touched Marty's cheek as she spoke. The robot stopped midswing, about to crush them both before pulling back and coming to stand stock still.
"Override accepted. Awaiting new instructions."
Lydia's hand traveled up to the top of Marty's head and shoved him down to the floor, thoroughly enjoying the look on his face as he struggled to even move. "You know, Marty, it's a real damn shame you were living so far in denial you could see the pyramids. I'm really good in bed. You missed out. And now, well, now you're screwed and not in a good way." As the walls came down, Lydia surveyed her team. At least Roxy had been successful. She eyed the rest of the members of her team, seeing a few of them were rightfully angry. And then there was Enrique. She should have taken Walt. She shouldn't have left him to Enrique. But she didn't let her anger show as he approached. She nodded at him, at his assessment before pointing at the robot.
"Capture and contain the Lantern," she ordered, and it started to move, its body opening to show an empty containment unit. and it's hands coming down to pick up Marty. "You're right. We did get Superboy and the Lantern. And with him, we can get the Flash. He'd never leave his precious best friend behind." She slid her arm around Enrique's shoulders, trying to look pleasant and disarming. She pulled him in close as if to whisper a secret to him. Then she grabbed his head in her hands and broke the speedster's neck.
"I have no use for failures...you two. Please. Tell me you have at least some good news? Did you get some of the vampires blood?"

Gabe looked away at Seb’s comment, but his zapping didn’t reduce. That hit him a lot harder than he’d be willing to admit. He’d already acted against orders by attacking Arthur. He’d been attacked by others much of his life in that way- it was no new indignity, no matter how he hated it. He shouldn’t have over-reacted, but he couldn’t help the anger. It was still a stupid move. His continued living was maybe a little more important than his already shattered dignity. The exact opposite effect to what Seb had wanted.
Arthur’s demon form was, to say the least, pretty intimidating, so he cowered slightly at Arthur’s growl as well. Otherwise, there was a good chance he would have commented on the misquoting of one of his favourite children’s films.
He only dropped the zapping after the walls had come down, although Walt and Seb had already disappeared.
Gabe knew Enrique was wrong in all his justification. A speedster and a teleporter? He knew from personal experience they would always get far, even if only given a few seconds. And there was plenty they could do between the two of them, most likely, telling the other groups about their infiltrations. Gabe avoided Lydia’s eyes as she looked over.
Gabe guessed what Lydia was about to do to Enrique just a split second before the break came. He flinched slightly even as she made the movement, and did his best to force back the anger from that; he hadn’t even known Enrique. It was a manoeuvre he’d seen his sister make too many times to not anticipate. Gabe didn’t answer the question about the blood. Instead, he looked straight down at the floor, which was probably all the information he needed to give on their success.
He wanted to say that he could use a tracking spell to bring them in, but he was sure he’d not be powerful enough to manage it. And he was sure that if he screwed that up, his fate would be the same as Enrique’s. ”I don’t think it’d work, but I could try a tracking spell.” He was still trying to avoid the eyes of the others. ”But it might be easier and faster to figure out where they’d be instead, what with light-speed travel.”
He could practically feel Captain Marvel’s arm coming around to meet his throat in anticipation.
(OoC: *totally realised that skipping Walt meant Gabe came next*)
