It's been a long day without you, my friend San Francisco was, for at least a good part of the year, her home. And while she knew that her true home should be in New York, with her family, with the school, this place had always been it. Everyone she really cared about that wasn't family (and yes, Edward was likely included in famly) was here. Like Adam, Sebastian, Lydia. And, speaking of Lydia, she was on the television at the moment. Gabrielle knew that even on her own wings, she couldn't get to New York that fast, or else she would have been there right beside the bubbly blonde. She hated to admit it, but seeing the girl in action always made her heart skip. No one would ever know, though. There were Avenger's on the screen as well, fighting some little person. Someone so small, it made Gabby look tall. The girl sat on the edge of the couch as she watched the screen, watching and waiting for them to destroy the little dolt that thought they could ruin her other home. She hadn't expected everything to happen so fast. The cameras didn't seem to catch the words too well that were spoken, but she could read lips well enough to have a small idea. Something was up, something bad was going to happen. And a part of her was slowly feeling a bit of dread well up in her chest. 'I can do it,' she saw Lydia say. She could do what? Gabby wasn't entirely sure. However as the blonde and the guy that looked like he belonged with the Dothraki tribe flew up in the air, that dread started to grow. Her wings instinctively started to go out so they could curl around her body, her hands going up to cover her mouth. What was happening? What were they doing? And why was... The flash of light seemed to make the camera mess up, and she couldn't see a thing, though tears were already starting to dot her eyes. No, something couldn't have happened. Lydia could survive that, no problem. When everything was recovered though, all that was left to see was the mushroom cloud in the sky. A pained sound escaped the bird girl as she tried to choke back on a sob. No. Nonononono, this wasn't happening. Not after everything that had happened. Not after everything the team had just gone through. No. No way. This. Wasn't. Happening! It couldn't be. She blinked her eyes rapidly to get the tears away. Surely, it was going to be okay. Another sob choked out as she tried to let out a sigh of relief. For a moment, she could see their silhouettes in the cloud. The cameras caught them. They were fine! Just fine. Her hands slowly started to fall away but the feeling of relief didn't last. Not as the darkened shapes slowly floated away. Just ash in the wind. What? No... No... "NOOOOOOOOOOO!" she cried out, the scream tearing through her throat, leaving a bit of pain in it. Her hands came down hard on the couch. "Nonononono..." The words went from loud to soft before drowning out completely to the crying that came from her. Though the anchor man had moved out of the shot to wipe his own tears away, the camera was still trained right where they had been. The headline underneath said "Scion and Captain Marvel Dead" while a small synopsis on what happened scroll underneath it. Her wings curled tightly around her body as she fell backwards into her seat, Hands that had been hitting into the couch almost in protest found there way up to cover her face, tears soaking her palm. "She can't be dead," she whimpered into her hand. "She just can't be..."628 | Walter West Marty Jordan @sebastian @rapidos Barry Allen Jor @roxy Zoey @actualwizard666 Adam Sato | I'm just gonna tag all of the titans so that any of them can join this. this does not mean you all have to join, it's just easier for me this way xD |

Sebastian had been in the training room, working on dual wielding his new sword and his blood sabre when he heard the scream. Actually Admiral Fluffy Paws heard it first and seemed to feel odd. Sebastian didn't understand the full extent of Admiral Fluffy Paws powers either. Perhaps it was because he was close to Lydia and could sense something off. Or perhaps it was the huge loss of a potentially magical being in T'Shan. He wasn't entirely sure how that worked. But as soon as he heard the shout he was in wolf form. He ran out of the room and came bounding into the sitting area where the TV was and the shout had come from. He shifted back, swords still in his hands and looked at Gabby curled up in her own wings.
"WHat is it Gabby? Are you ok?"
He asked before Admiral Fluffy Paws jumped onto the back of the couch, looking at the TV. He simply shook his head.
'Oh no...Sebastian...'
Sebastian looked from Gabby to Admiral Fluffy Paws to the TV. If he had blood that actually ran right now it'd be running cold. But he was shocked at what he was seeing. Lydia couldn't die. It was just something that couldn't happen. WHy her? She was good and he was just getting her to tolerate him. Sure Marty would still always have a lead but he refused to believe he was out of the running.
"Wh...n....but...."
Without saying a word he put his arm around Gabby. Sure they'd never been close but because of their friendship with Adam they'd somewhat got along.
"It has to be a mistake."
Admiral Fluffy paws simply turned and left. He'd never been good with death of those he was close to.
"Who? Who did this?"
He was equal parts sad and furious. He wanted whoever did this to suffer. He would make them a minion and then make them suffer for eternity. He would make them a dog, no different than Lydia's counter part had done to his.

It's been a long day without you, my friend Swift had gotten to the room before Admiral Fluffy Paws or Sebastian. The bird, however, had no idea just how to console the girl. Swift had been horrid with that when she'd lost her father and she wasn't doing much better with it now. Still, it's presence was noted, only barely. She was shaking a bit as she kept her hands over her face, anything to stop the sound from getting too loud. She hadn't really thought there were many in the tower at the moment, she thought that perhaps she'd be left unheard, however that wasn't the case. Her muttering into her hands kept getting softer and softer, practically drowned from her own crying. The sound of Sebastian's arrival didn't seem to make her stop. However, hearing his words, her hands lowered a bit, wings opening just a little so she could look to him. Though looking to him didn't do much. Before she could get much of a word out, her eyes caught sight of the screen again and the tears came down harder. The cat drew Sebastian's attention to the television. Good, then she didn't have to say it. She wasn't sure she could say it. What she did manage to get out was a soft "She's gone" before covering her face again. She still couldn't believe it. She couldn't be gone. She just couldn't be. Lydia was too strong to just be dead. She was too amazing to be. She was Captain freaking Marvel. Captain Marvel couldn't die... shouldn't be able to die. So how could she be dead? It just didn't make sense. And yet, she saw it. She had to see it with her own two eyes. She had to watch as one of her best friends died. She had to watch as girl she practically idolized with loving eyes turned to ash. Thinking about it made the scene flash before her eyes again and the wings came tightly around her body once more. Gabrielle flinched initially at the arm around her before allowing herself to lean sideways into the incupire. She even scooted closer, trying to get as close to that comfort, not caring how much it bothered her wings. Swift had departed, following after the Admiral. The bird figured it was easier that way, leaving his owner with a more understanding friend. She was quiet, trying to rub the tears from her face, trying to make them stop as she heard the question. It took a moment to get her voice to work even the smallest bit. "G-gizmo... They said his name was Gizmo... And... Oh man, Seb, he... He had this thing around Scion's neck. She said... she said she could do it... B-bu-but she couldn't. But she couldn't and... and she was turned to ash and she just... She's... She's gone," she whimpered. New hot tears glistened in her eyes, though she quickly squeezed them shut. How could anyway do this? How could this happen? She just couldn't understand... 499 | @sebastian | I've also always imagined she's closer to him than she is to most of the other titans, save for adam and gabe, as she does explicitly go looking for Seb whenever she has to go back to New York for tests and stuff |
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again ✿

Marty walked into the common room from his own room. He was finishing up a paper on Aeronautics when he heard everyone shouting. He came into the room, trying to find out what all the commotion was, only to see Sebastian and Gabby there, looking traumatized. Marty's eyes locked on the TV screen and he watched the replay of what was happening. Lydia and the Asgardian from the Avengers... What was his name... The Scion, right. Walt was better with code names than he was. The flash happened again and Lydia and Scion were gone. Just like that.
Words wouldn't come. He tried to focus, but all that came out was a howl of rage. Marty's body was covered with an aura emerald fire. His uniform hadn't been activated yet, but the his thoughts were barely in check. His will wanted to be free. He listened to the news say that Captain Marvel and Scion were dead. That wasn't possible. Lydia couldn't die. He chided himself, suddenly embarrassed by the selfish thought. Not that he wanted Scion to die or that he was more deserving. He just knew Lydia better. He... Well, they hadn't really spoken since he came back. Had they?
Marty took his leave of absence for the Titans and only really went to visit when he knew that Lydia wasn't around. He wanted to give her space. Let her recover. He had almost told her how he felt before he was trapped in that other dimension. Now... Now, he would never have the chance. No, this couldn't happen. He wouldn't let this happen.
Marty finally spoke. It was soft, but loud enough to be heard. "Flash can fix this. Walt... he can go back in time. He can change this. Stop it from happening. He can stop Lydia from... I won't let this happen. It can't." His voice finally cracked. Marty couldn't allow this to happen. He'd make Walt change it. He wasn't in the mood for speeches.
There was a quiet chime from his ring. "Energy levels at 100%."

Enrique had stepped down as a full time member of the Titans. He still spent a solid amount of time at the Tower however. He was torn between leaving and staying. He didn't really know what he wanted anymore. He simply couldn't figure it out. He was simply relaxing in the kitchen making a large sandwich when he heard yelling. He glanced up noticing a spirit of a fallen Titan in the door motioning for him to follow. Enrique set the sandwich down and took off in a run. He was a blur, heading towards the common room where the shouting came from. When he got there he saw spirits also gathered around the TV. Enrique stood behind the couch with his arms crossed.
"Damn, what is going on?"
Then he saw everything. Scion and Captain Marvel being vaporized in a bomb. He listened to Gabby cry and Sebastian comfort her. Then he heard Marty talking about sending Flash back in time to save her.
"Aside from destroying the timeline in order to save someone....Lydia isn't dead. Her and Scion's spirits would be there on the screen with all of the others."
He had a feeling that the argument likely wouldn't work. Emotions seemed to take control, now especially. Sure Enrique was not exactly Lydia's best friend, but they were still somewhat friends. They'd been locked up together when they were replaced.
"There has to be another way to find her than risking breaking the time line."

"We'll avenge her Gabby. I promise we'll find that Gizmo guy."
Then Marty showed up He was silent but quickly began to talk about sending Walt back in time. Enrique had a point. Simply running back in time was too dangerous. It would ruin things in the grand scheme. Just because he knew someone who could run around in time doesn't mean he should always do it to fix everything.
"Instead of running around in time why not just ask Zoey to go to the other side and get them?"
Seb asked shaking his head. It made a lot more sense in the grand scheme. Of course getting Marty to listen probably wouldn't work. Marty and Lydia were close, closer than he was to Lydia despite his efforts. He knew it was a losing battle from the beginning. In the end he couldn't compete with the the time they'd known each other. But of course he was just as arrogant and stubborn when it came to most things. He didn't like losing, even if he was about to lose anyways.
"I could always head down to Hell and see if I can cut some deals with the Hell Lords to find them."

Gabe couldn’t remember the last few seconds. He couldn’t remember them at all. Before was easy. Of course, nightmares always were more memorable than most things. And no way could this be real. The only things that made no sense to Gabe was where he’d woken up, and how come he was in costume.
In his dream, He had decided that he was going to do some patrolling. He hadn’t spotted anything, really, that he needed much effort for yet. It seemed fairly typical, really. No major super-crimes or anything, just street-level muggers (he had stopped a few already).
Gabe had just perched on a section midway up an office building, where a neat garden had been arranged on a small section of flat roof; somewhere to take a break from the flying around when his phone buzzed from his pocket. Pulling it out, he saw it was an alert from some news app. Something about a bomber in New York City.
Gabe’s eyes grew wide as he saw it. He brought the report up as soon as he could. It wasn’t even really a report yet, judging by the “Live” banner blazoned in red at the top of the page. It was a video. There was some distance between the camera and what was being focused on, and it did not look like professional quality footage under any normal circumstance.
He wasn’t too skilled with faces, but Gabe could recognise them both from their costumes.
”Lydia?” He barely made a noise as he questioned it. He could barely think as Scion and Captian Marvel flew upwards together. This had to be faked. No way.
But he still had more of a shock. In two senses; electricity was crackling up his arms, and he dreaded to think the damage he would be doing to himself were he not the one controlling it- he’d seen Cassie playing with similar amounts of electricity when they were small and it typically had set things on fire. The other was from what was continuing to play out.
At first he thought his phone had broken. Then he thought that Marvel had absorbed all the energy of the blast. The air seemed to quiver, and there was definitely something wrong, like some powerful source of magic was gone. And then there really was no space in his head for thinking.
It didn’t just feel like it was in a different side of the country, nor a different part of the world. It felt like it was a different reality, a different dimens-
And then Gabe’s memories had blanked out.
The next thing he knew, his head was aching with pain like something had just crashed into it.
He spun around, hand reaching for the top of his head, over where the pain was and had yelped out thanks to it. And he had no idea how he’d got there.
He could see a small group of young business people, below him for some reason. Gabe looked down, and realising he had been floating, landed on the roof of the office. He could see himself reflected in the windows of the office as the rest of the building extended up further.
His hair was spiked up with static electricity, and there was something very wrong with his eyes.
Gabe walked over to the glass, the businesspeople cautiously observing, looking at the reflection. They looked okay now. Maybe he’d imagined them turning black. As he turned around to see the people again, he saw also that the lawn equipment was in a total mess. That seemed… wrong.
And the businesspeople were looking at him nervously.
It was then he started trying to work out what must have happened in the interim, but he really had no clue, bar that it must have been something pretty big. He backtracked a little further and whatever had just occurred was pushed far out of his mind. Lydia.
Lydia was gone.
”I’ll come back for any expenses later.” And people thought he couldn’t lie.
”IWANTWHERETHEOTHERTITANSARE, IWANTWHERETHEOTHERTITANSARE, IWANTWHERETHEOTHERTITANSARE!”
He landed just outside the common room. Luckily the static had faded with that, but he was now noticing that his cloak had definitely been smoking. How that had happened Gabe wasn’t sure. It didn’t matter. He’d work it out later.
What did matter was that he wasn’t the only one here. That and that they were already trying to work out what to do. He arrived just in time to hear about Seb’s ideas as he walked around and into the room.
”I would offer help via resurrection magic but the last time any member of my family did that, the results weren’t good.” Something in his voice was worrying him himself.
